Jack sighed "Thanks... wimp" he smiled as he turned back to Sak and Shana

Jack rolled his eyes at the girl, Reese "Perfect, another one" he muttered

Cale practically snorted. "Trel wasn't scary either. She LOATHED me cause I told her off once. She told me I was a disgrace to my badge," he laughed. "Although she was a pain in the behind last year when she was an Intern...she tried to break me and Anna up!" he exclaimed. He wondered if he had told Reese that story before or not--well, if he hadn't, he had just started one interesting conversation.

Cale shrugged. "Ehh, I'm ok now. I was so young when he died I'm starting to forget what it was like when he died...plus, I've got Aaron now," he added, referring to his step-dad. "And he's pretty cool...I just wish he hadn't brought the devil with him," he added with an eye roll, referring to Ezra this time. Bleh.

Just then, Cale heard the Hufflepuff mutter something. Did he just call him a WIMP? Cale Newell, a WIMP? The audacity! Blinking, he looked in the direction of the Hufflepuff. Hmm, maybe he had misheard him--he would give him the benefit of the doubt...for now. "Excuse me?" he asked.

Jack looked up "I said, thanks... wimp" he smirked

So Cale HAD heard the Hufflepuff correctly. He wrinkled his eyebrows in anger and stood up. Did this kid REALLY think he was going to intimidate Cale Newell, a prefect? Pssh, he had another thing coming.

"Oh yeah? Well, if I was a wimp, would I have this?" he asked, stabbing himself in the chest where his prefect badge was pinned.

Barry was hunting for someone to cast a spell at, he spied Jack but no, too easy. He over heard Cale say something and smilled "Being a prefect doesn`t mean your not a whimp. Prefects could just be kiss ups. But your not" he said quite matter of factly. It was after all true and maybe Cale would ignore his input again

Kayla was walking along the second floor corridor when she came across two students about to get into it and she stopped walking and looked at the two. "Is there a problem here Cale?" she asked, a little amused that he would think that he had been made prefect because he wasn't a wimp. She turned and looked at the other student and her eyes narrowed. "Mosier" she hissed, "I should have known. You can't stay out of trouble for more than five seconds can you?"

She moved around Cale and took a couple of steps towards the first year. He seemed to find her intimidating, well now she would show him exactly why that was. "Cale, seeing how Jack here is in my house you don't mind if I take care of this do you?"

"Well,you're older than me.I was a first year when I first met her.She scared the living daylights out of me,"Reese said with a smile.She listened to Cale say something about Trel trying to break Anna and him up. "Whaaaa-?" This was news to her.

"I need to meet your family.The only person I've ever met was Ezra...and that healer person that came to Allie's party,"Reese told Cale.She knew that healer was related to Cale,but the name sort of escaped her mine."Was it Jackie?"

Okay.That's it! No more mister nice person. Reese stood up from the ground,but didn't move anywhere. "WHAT'S YOU PROBLEM?!"She exclaimed. She wasn't going to take a stupid little Hufflepuff calling her names.No,sir.

Jack smirked "Mr Prefect doesn't mean Mr. Perfect"

Jack nodded "Thanks"

Ok, this was not good, was she stalking him? Jack stumbled backwards "No, I mean, I can... go" Jack stopped himself, hang on a minute, I'm scared of a girl Jack raised an eyebrow "Or... maybe I won't" he stood up straight and moved towards Kayla

Jack sneered at the girl "You" he told her, this wasn't fair, three people, BIG people, against one small firstie, it was unfair, but Jack had to stand up for himself. Jack stood where he was and looked all three of them in the eyes to show them he was not intimidated.

Cale turned and saw that Barry had shown up. "Oh, hey Barry," he said with a smile, grinning when he said he wasn't a kiss up.

Cale looked over as Kayla showed up--she looked like she was on the war path. Sheesh, she looked scary! "Sure, go for it," Cale said with a smirk, looking at the first year who had called him a wimp. He was about to get his, that was for sure.

Cale stood up and gently touched Reese's arm, hoping she would remember that he was here and she would calm down. This little firstie was probably just trying to cause problems on purpose. "He's not worth it!" he whispered in her ear.

Cale glared at the Hufflepuff and then rolled his eyes. Like he knew anything about it. He just sat back and waited for Kayla to unleash her wrath.

Anna rounded the corner and walked down the second floor corridor. She wasn't exactly sure where she was en route to, but it was nice to just get out of the Common Room for a while and stroll down the usually quiet corridors. Up ahead, Anna could see a small group of people assembled, discussing Merlin knew what. As she got closer, Anna could see that it was her boyfriend, Cale, one of her best friends, Reese, and...some Hufflepuff kid she didn't know. Anna hurried along and soon caught up with the little group. "Hey there," Anna greeted, stepping up alongside Cale and linking her hand with his. "What's up?"

"Me?So...I'm the problem?That's good to know,"Reese sneered at Jack."Anyways,haven't people told you not to mess with a Slytherin?The outsomes might not be so good."She raised her eyebrow at him.He was a little firstie.He coudn't do much harm...could he?
Reese heard Cale's voice in her ear.She looked at him and shook her head.He wasn't worth it.But...ARGH.She hated to be called names.

Reese heard,yet,another voice come up.She looked at Anna then back at Jack.She was sure Cale would give all the details to Anna.There was no use telling her.

"Thank you Cale" Kayla replied, returning his smirk. "You might want to hang around for the show" she said, about to enjoy herself.

Kayla turned to Jack and she raised an eyebrow as he started to back off and then seemed to gather some courage. She snorted softly, he should have left while he still could. As he moved toward her, Kayla grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and lifted him slightly off the floor. "Now apologise to Cale and Reese, or I will make tying you up look like childs play" she whispered to him.

Jack turned to the prefect "Haha" he said boredly

"Hi there" Jack smiled brightly "Nice to meet you" Jack nodded politely

Jack nodded "Yes, you are" he laughed a little at this comment "Oh, Slytherin... I'm shaking" Jack stared into her eyes

Jack grabbed Kayla's arm "I wouldn't do that" he scowled at her "No, I wont" he said stubbornly "Oh, no, I may cry" he said sarcastically.

Barry looked at Jack "I wasn`t helping" he said simply. He nodded to Cale and said " Hey Anna, Reese, what have you been up to?" He didn`t know his place among the three. Was he just a student? A freind? A close freind?

Reese narrowed her eyes at Jack."Well,you know what.You're my problem." She grinned slightly when he started using sarcasim. "You should be scared,"she hissed at him."I'm not that friendly."She doesn't put up with crap like this.Especially from a first year Hufflepuff.

Jack glared at Barry 'some family' he thought bitterly

Jack sniggered "Ah. I'm scared" he said in a bored voice "Oh no, I may cry" he carried on using the same tone of voice.

"Or. You'll. What?" she sneered quietly. "You know I've just about had enough of you Jack Mosier, I tried to help you but you insist on being a thorn in everyone's side" Kayla let him go and glared at him for a moment. "I think a visit to Professor Shackleton is in order or perhaps the Headmaster."

Barry looked away as Jack glarred " Jack listen to your prefect, shes helping you, see the professer, it`ll be good for your health" he said. Why was he so mischevous not that he wasn`t as a first year but grow up Jack.

Jack shook his head "No" he said "I've had enough of this!" he stood there "I am NOT scared of you Kayla Winters" Jack said firmly "Leave me alone, I did nothing to you" he told her "You keep threatening me and I am NOT taking this" he threw his Hufflepuff tie at her "I hate Hufflepuff, I hate you and I hate Hogwarts" he twisted on his heel and started to walk out of the corridor.

"Shut it" Jack spat at Barry

Reese's blood was boiling under her skin.He's not worth it.Cale's words circles around her head for the longest.This dude was worth it.She stucked her hand inside her robe pocket and grasped her wand.She wasn't sure if she going to us it or not. "You're being childish you know that,"she hissed."Are you asking for someone to hurt you?Because I'm not afraid to do some damage to the perfect face of yours."

She watched Jack head down the corridor and she ungripped her wand and took her hand out of her pocket.She was too scared to look at Cale and Anna.They have never seen that side of her.

Cale looked up as Jack greeted Anna with complete decency. Hmpf. That wasn't cool. He glanced over at Kayla before clearing his throat. "Umm, sorry to interrupt Kayla, but you know kid, if you showed the same respect to ME like you did to HER instead of trying to taunt me, you wouldn't be in this mess right now," he told him.

But, a second after he spoke, Jack turned and started to storm off. Cale looked back at Kayla once more, almost as if asking if she wanted his help on this one or not.

Jack turned to her "Go and get a life"

"And you, leave me" Jack turned again "Oh, and don't even THINK about following me" Jack told her before turning the corner

Barry glarred at Jack "I won`t" he said quitely "And you need anger managment!" he call after him.

"If you want you could always wear a badge" he said quitely, watching Reese carefully

Anna, still mostly oblivious to the situation she'd walked up on, smiled politely at everyone standing around. When Kayla mentioned a 'show,' Anna glanced up at Cale, narrowing her eyes and silently asking him what in Merlin's name was going on around here. The little Hufflepuff needed to apologize to Cale and Reese? Anna wondered what he'd done, but she didn't ask. Right now, she just wanted to watch and see what sort of chaos would unfold next. "Erm, nice to meet you, too," Anna said, still a bit confused. "I'm Anna, Cale's girlfriend. You are...?"

Anna heard Barry ask her what she'd been up to lately, but right now, she was too focused on figuring out what this Hufflepuff had done to Cale and Reese. Anna turned her head long enough to greet Barry, and then she turned back to the Hufflepuff boy.

"Wait!" Anna called out. "What on Earth are you so upset about?" Anna wasn't even sure the boy had heard her question, though. He'd turned on his heels and walked away before all the words could even come out of her mouth. Anna turned back to Cale. "Cale? What just happened?" she asked.

Kayla stood there calmly and let Jack have his little tantrum. "Maybe not directly but everything you do reflects back on to me and our house" she stepped back slightly as he threw his tie at her and she shook her head. Lovely. Now he hated her and she didn't want to care but the fact was she did. She watched as he spun his heel and stalked off down the corridor, she would go after him but not until he had calmed down.


Kayla turned back to Cale, Anna, Reese and Barry. "I apologise for Jack's behaviour, not all Hufflepuff's are like that. He has a few problems at them moment but he doesn't seem to want anyone's help."

She sighed deeply and looked back down the corridor to where he had gone. "It's okay Cale, I can handle it" Kayla started to back down the corridor slowly. "I think I might go and see Professor Shackleton, about Jack" she nodded to herself, yep that was the smartest thing to do right now.
