Second Floor Corridor
 

So many a door and so many a chore are found on this, the second floor.

Tap.Tap.Tap.

Reese entered the silent corridor with her noisy shoes.Everytime they hit the ground,they made this tapping noise that was getting on her very last nerves.She couldn't wait to get back to the corridor and take of her stupid shoes.She walked thorugh the corridor glancing at all the portraits on the wall that started moving when she walked past them.She smiled politily at the pictures as they awoke.Maybe next time she will stop and get into a conversation with them.

She hated being new. But in another way it was fun. It was a shame there were no maps of Hogwarts and you had to learn everything the muggle way...by exploring. It was lucky she liked exploring. Hearing the sound of shoes, she sighed. They reminded her of her parents getting ready for dinner. Her mother would go through every single shoe in her closet before she ended up going with the first one she tried. A frown creased the petite girls face and she looked up to find an older girl, a Slytherin by the green crest on the robes and she smiled, "Hello" It was barely audible and even the pictures in their frames which she'd learnt from her first day not to be alarmed as they moved, craned forward to hear her. Gulping, as she looked sidelong at them, she looked up at the girl again, "Hi"

Reese was about to exit the corridor until a sudden voice caught her by suprise.She quickly turned around and looked down at the little toddler first year. "Gesh.You really know how to scare somebody.Don't you?"she told the little girl.

Just as the young Gryffindor spoke to the Slytherin girl, something came tearing down the corridor straight at them, dungbombs in arms.

"WWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" the ethereal being squeeled. It bounced off of the walls and crashed into just about ever object in sight, knocking over a bust or two.

As it finally reached the two girls, a shower of dungbombs was unleashed onto them.

Peeves the poltereist was back in action, y0.

He stopped just past the young witches and turned to admire his handiwork. Ahh, it felt good to be back.

And just for good measure, he blew a nice, wet raspberry at them.

As Reese was waiting for the girl to talk,she noticed a ghost come up to them.Oh,no.Oh,no.It was Peeves.WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE PEEVES?!She noticed he had dungbombs in his hand.This is not happening...

Unfortunatly,it was happening.Peeves through tons of dungbombs on them and Reese screamed."PEEVES,"she exclaimed.The smell was horrid and now...she smelled horrid.Just great.

Rose frowned, she hadn't meant to scare her. She hadn't exactly walked towards her quietly, but over the noise of her shoes she was pretty sure it was difficult to hear anyone. "I..I didn't mean to" Rose stammered, looking up at her in dismay, "I was just walking...along" She was about to go into a full replay of what happened when at the shriek she turned and gasped.

The thing, whatever it was, was the most abnormal thing she'd ever seen, she clamped her hands over her ears and winced as the thing passed over her, sending several tin soldiers to the walls as well as several painting which cried in dismay demanding some sort of 14th century pay back.

Several water balloons or so they looked crashed down on her, looking up in horror up at the thing she groaned, taking a whiff and choking back tears and vomit. It stunk! She watched it, as it blew a raspberry and disappeared. Tears streaming down her face her, her hair matted and she smelt bad....really bad. 'W...what is it?" She asked the older girl. The dismay and frightened horror in her voice was obvious. She hated being new.

John who had just decided to go for a walk saw this figure floating in mid air. He had no idea who it was, but he knew it was a ghost. maybe it was a friend of all the ghosts who had been in the hall at the start of the feast. The thing that was most different about the others ghosts compared to this one was they hadn't thrown anything at anyone.

John looked at the two girl and realised that one of them was Rose. He ran upto her and asked "Rose are you okay?" He hoped she was, he wondered what the ghost had against them. He looked at Rose and saw her soaked "What happened to you?"

Professor Shackleton had heard the commotion from her office. She rushed into the corridor with her wand held firmly in her hand and was immediately taken aback by the horrific odor and the scene before her.

She debated who to address first, but couldn't determine the student at fault. She asked, "What happened here?"

Rose took one look from the older girl and John and ran at him, jhugging him tightly, tears were pouring from her cheeks...and she smelt horrific.
"It...it.." She gulped through tears, "It's....scary!" She burst out after some thought. At his question, she quieted, swallowing back the fright, "That thing.." Looking back at it, it had gone, just it's laughter echoing through the halls. "It dropped stuff on me...and the girl" She added looking back at Reese.

Hearing another pair of shoes clip through the commotion, Rose turned and saw a teacher. Breathing deeply to stop her tears, she frowned and shrugged, "I don't know what it is" Chewing on her lip she looked at Reese, "What is it?"

Emiliano's nose was itchy, runny and he could not smell anything. He just wanted to sleep and be finally resting in a bed. But he couldn't help it, he noticed something wasn't alright.

He took some steps to watch around the scene, Reese, the girl from the train was there, obviously pretty mad, and another girl he didn't know. And some smell ran though the halls, yet Emiliano couldn't know what was it. Oh, and a Professor had stepped in to rescue them. He slightly smiled, yet found it not funny that the girs were scared about the Poltergeist around.

The mischievous poltergeist merely stuck his tongue out at the girls. Cry babies.

Aha! One last dungbomb....on his person. He chucked it at the boy and shouted "BOOM!" as it exploded on him. Yuck!

"Awww!!! Are de widdle girwies upset? Boo hoo." He rubbed his eyes to mimic crying and then turned to the professor.

In his best, deep, attractive voice, he said, "Why, hello there, professor."

Then he flew right on through her and continued floating.

Reese took her eyes of Peeves and looked at John,who came running up.When he started talking to Rose,she looked back at Peeves.Who was still floating in the air.



Reese heard a Professors voice come up towards them.She looked at Professor Shackleton and was going to reply,but then Rose started talking.When the girl looked at Reese,she said,"Peeves came in here and started throwing dungbombs,Professor Shackleton."She remember Professor Shackleton from detention last year.Oh,yes.The glorious days.

Reese quickly looked back at Peeves.

"If you weren't a ghost,I'd hurt you,"she told the ghost.She was angry...wait,more than angry,she was furious.She would have to go take a looooong shower before this smell would come off.

"You'll pay for this Peeves,"she said.

Reese noticed Emiliano come up.Oh,great.A cute boy shows up when she is smelling bad.This sighed.Nothing else bad can happen now.

John was shocked when Rose ran over to him and hugged him tightly, he could see that she had tears in her eyes. John looked down at his robes great now they were wet to. He hugged Rose back whilest trying to help her stop crying "It's over now" He replied to her and then looked at the ghost, who on earth was he, He had no idea and didn't realy know how to handle him.

John heard light footsteps behind him and turned to saw a Professor coming upto the two girls. Great he thought maybe she could tell them who the ghost was. John knew it was a ghost because he had seen them before, but he had never known one that had actual cause mayhem before.


John looked shocked and angry "What was that for" he said to the ghost "Have I done anything to you?" John was upset what had he done. He didn't now what to do know though he smelt horriable.

When Professor Shackleton saw the genuine fear in the girls' faces, she knew it wasn't a guilty fear of being caught. They were startled by the situation and Macadrian was determined to get to the bottom of it. But she didn't have long to wait when Peeves made his presence abundantly (and annoyingly) clear. She greeted the poltergeist as calmly as she would greet any person she hardly knew (but certainly knew of), "Hello yourself, Peeves. Long time no see. And yet you're here and causing havoc during your first appearance within these walls in a great many years? To what do we owe this occasion?"

Rose was so relieved he was there, she slowly with several gasps stopped crying. Nodding, she looked around her. It was over...looking at his uniform Rose groaned, "I'm..soo...so...sorry" She whispered gulping. Her nose cringed and she laughed croakily, "You smell"

When the thing spoke again, Rose looked up and promptly burst into tears again, it was mimicking her and she didn't like it. As it adressed the professor she stared at her wondering what her reaction would be. And then it went through her, her eyes widened and she knew it was a ghost she'd red enough about them to figure that.

Rose glanced quickly at Reese who was in a furious rage, and she didn't blame her. The thing, she called it Peeves was scary...frightening and her hair was brown..muck brown. The usual glossy red was matted and sticky. Shuddering, she pulled herself off Liam, her tears stemming without her notice. Pulling out her wand, she gulped and muttered one of her mum's spells, the robes dried but it was still ...icky. Smiling through her cringed nose, she sighed, "Professor...can we go?" Hot water was sounding heavenly now.

Gulp and lots of gulps ran through Emiliano's throat when he started to feel the taste of the dungboms in his mouth. Yuck!

He waved at Reese when she noticed him. He started to walk towards the scene and so tried not to open his mouth. Emiliano knew it could get a lot worse if he suddenly threw up or worse.

Karma walked along the corridors slowly, running her hand along the wall. Oh, how she missed this place. As she was rounding the corner, there was a scene unfolding in front of her.

A poltergeist? Since when...

Oh wait. New term. New surprises. That one.. His name was Peeves. He liked to torture the bloody hell out of students. He was mentioned in Hogwarts, a History as well.

She rolled her eyes, and spotted Emiliano. She smiled, and waved at him, hoping to get his attention.

Having just exited the Common Room, Anna continued walking throughout the school until she reached the corridor of the second floor. A few of her friends, as well as Professor Shackleton, were standing around, apparently all discussing the same topic. Who knew what it was, but if it was that interesting, Anna wanted to be in on it, as well. Not bothering to look around and take in all the surroundings, Anna approached Professor Shackleton with a smile on her face. She was still completely overjoyed that one of her favorite professors was back at Hogwarts and better than ever. "Peeves? Who's Peeves?" Anna asked, still completely oblivious to all around her. She'd just assumed Peeves was some mischievous first year who'd already managed to get himself or herself into trouble on one of the first days of school. "He's not a Gryffindor, is he?"

Emiliano turned around and saw Karma who had waved at him. He smiled wide to her and decided to wait until the situation was to get calmed, or not.
He walked towards Karma and cleared his throat to talk. "Hey..." He said, still with that nasel sound all over his voice.

Rose took one look at her prefect and from fear of getting expelled or worse losing house points, she sunk to the ground sobbing. There was quite a crowd at the scene, and her cheeks pale from the fright flamed instantly clashing horribly with her hair.

Karma started to breathe in to say something, when she almost choked. That entire hallway SMELLED. She covered her mouth with her robes, and took Emiliano's hand and ran around the corner.

"Oh Merlin's beard," she said. "How are you? Well, especially after that event."

John looked at Rose and smiled as he went to sit next to her. "Are you okay?" He hoped that she was, he was worried about what was going though her mind at that moment. He was sure that something was going though her mind and John was wondered what he should say to help her though what had just happened to her. In the end he couldn't think of anything so he just stay next to her and waited for her to talk.

Emiliano ran along with Karma towards the next hallway. He could now open his mouth properly. He just sighed and smiled at Karma, while he pointed at his nose and chuckled.

"I'm alright, I just can't smell anything...all this weather changes make my nose totally lose it's sense..." He commented and shrugged.

"And how are you?" He quietly asked.

Reese saw Emiliano start coming up to her.She gently waved back at him and then looked at Anna who just showed up.Cale must be near,they're usually always near each other.She looked away from Anna then back at Peeves."Thanks for ruining my day,"she told him.
