"There's really nothing else I could want. This room is perfect," Copernicus continued to study the books lining the shelves.

Liz walks over and sits in a comfy chair. "I like it here, it's definitely a nice quiet place to study."

"It IS quiet," Copernicus agreed. "Maybe too much so. The library is quiet too... what does this place have that the library doesn't?"

Maddox chuckled and said, "Sounds good to me I just hope you can do it without getting hurt." He smirked. It took him 3 hours to learn how to do a back flip. "Right lets go then!" He smiled.

He listened to her very closely. He wasnt going to mess up this time. Finally it was his turn. He waited for the music, then sang:

"How was it?" He asked with a grin.

"I think it has anything you want when you need it." Liz says after a few minutes of thought. I mean, if you left your extra quills in your dorm, you would need to go back and get them, if you went to the library..."

"You also wouldn't need to worry about the library closing for the night," Liz says with a small laugh.

"That sounds about right," he flopped down onto an overstuffed chair. "I want a bed and a cup of cocoa..." He laughed when a pillow appeared. "Okay, I didn't mean I wanted to spend the night here."

Laughing outloud, Liz says "Well, you did say that."

Turning to Copernicus, she asks him a question, seeing that Livvy is busy looking at the different books. "Can I ask you something?"

"Tackling expresses love!" Hugo laughed, giving Evolette a kiss on the cheek. "Terry mate, I'd kiss you but..." he eyed the Gryffindor carefully. "Oh whatever!" He gave Terry a quick smooch on the forehead. Heh heh. "I am the baby? Oh that sucks," he grinned, and then shrugged. It didn't matter to him; he had the bestest friends in the world, and he wouldn't have cared if they were old and wrinkly. "Just means you'll get wrinkles before me, Lettie," he teased.

"Wow! You did an awesome job...together." He smiled, happier than he'd been in a long time.

"That's awesome." Hugo inspected them for a minute, before replying, "oh yeah, no bite marks!" Haha. "C'mon!" He grabbed Terry's hand in his right hand and Evolette's in his left. "C'MOOON!" He dragged them forwards into the room, admiring the cake that was on the table. "Since when can YOU GUYS nake cakes?" He asked, chuckling happily. He didn't care whether it tasted like doxy eggs (he doubted it would), because it was the thought that counted.

And they really had thought.

Wow, he loved them uber muuuch.

"Although, there was some hyperventilating." Evolette added under her breath, twisting a strand of hair around her finger, innocently. Biting her lip, she waited for it all to be ruined. She was certain, for some reason, that Hugo was not going to like it so much after he realized they'd done it together; and she really didn't even know why.

"WE didn't make the cake silly." she giggled, tilting her head, "The house elves did." Tossing a glance at Terry, she quite hoped that he would keep the "Evolette flirted with a house elf story" underwraps.

"Terry thought it would be fun to put a girl in there." she added, shaking her head slowly. "But I told him no." Honestly! Did he really think that Evolette McKenna would let another girl steal her spotlight? As if.

She stared at the cake, standing alongside Hugo and Terry, then raised an eyebrow, "So, are we going to eat it? Or look at it?"

Exaggeratedly, Terry hacked a cough, spluttering in indignance. 'I think I'm going to have to avoid for a whole year now, right until your NEXT birthday!' He swallowed a snigger, attempting to look perfectly serious.

WOOOOOT. The cake. 'Butbutbut!' Terry exclaimed, pointing with his pinky to the pretty pink icing. 'That was done by me! The house elves, err were too shor to reach the very top, see?'

Sapphire eyes twinkling, he shrugged lazily at the two, 'What? I thought he might appreciate the gesture you know?'

Clapping, he pointed excitedly to the sixteen lit candles with their daning pink flames. 'You've got to blow them out first Hugo! And make your wiiiiish!'

"Hmm?" Copernicus glanced up at her from his position deep inside the chair. "Of course."

Livvy looked towards where Copernicus and Liz stood once she heard those five words. Liz was gonna do it. Inside, Livvy was proud of her. She hoped things would bode well for her. For the time being, Livvy will just stay out of the way. Livvy picked out a promising book and sat down, a distance away but still within earshot.

Looking nervous, she looks at him, and says "A few of us were wondering...If someone really liked you, would you want to know?"

Livvy peeked up over her book casually. She rolled her eyes at what Liz said to him. She caught Liz's eyes and gave her the No-More-Chit-Chat-Just-Spit-It-Out look. Livvy glanced at Copernicus who was taking an awfully long time to respond. What would he say? Livvy was practically sending Liz to her own doom here. Copernicus liked Cela.. What was Livvy doing, letting Liz do this?

"You mean if someone wanted to be my friend?" Copernicus raised an eyebrow. Of course! He always needed more friends. "Or you mean... if a girl liked me... like... a... boyfriendy thingy?"

Turning pinker by the minute. "umm, like a boyfriendy thingy, I guess..."

"I... don't know. It's unlikely to happen, so you probably shouldn't worry about whether you'd have to tell me or not. I mean..." He gestured to himself. "I'm a social moron. You know that."

"But...I" looking down, Liz nods. "I don't think your a social moron. I think..."

He grinned. "Well, I appreciate that, Liz. It's not totally true, but I appreciate it." He flopped back against the couch. "Everyone at Hogwarts is so nice, you know? They were... not always nice at Beauxbatons. Too concerned with themselves."

Now if I say what I really feel, he'll think that about me! she thinks to herself.

With another nod, "I...I'm glad that you like it here. I...think it's fun...spending time with you." she finishes really lamely. "Maybe we could do this more often."

"So, what would you do, if you knew someone really liked you...you know in that way?"

"It's fun spending time with you, too," he grinned again. "I never had a lot of girl friends in France, but it seems that's all I have here. I suppose I'm afraid male friends will all turn out like Plymouth." He paused, blush creeping up his neck. Why was she asking about this still? "I don't know, Liz. To be honest, I've never had that happen before. I don't know what I'd do. I hope I'd be a gentleman."

"Sorry" Liz says looking up at him, "I didn't mean to embarrass you."

Sitting up straighter "I just wanted to say that...I don't know how to...I mean I..." stammering she stops. she slumps down, and looks down at her hands in her lap.

"I mean, maybe we could go out for walks more often, maybe not every night, but..." Now, that was pathetic! she angrily thinks to herself, but gives Copernicus a small smile.

"Yeah," Copernicus agreed. "You were right about the moonlit strolls, you know? I'm not much for the outdoors, but there's something about this place."

"I agree, walking around is nice, but I like the peacefulness here too." looking around, she wonders if she has the nerve to just say it.

"I'm a little embarrassed..." she whispers. "I'm sorry if I made you embarrassed too."

Looking down with a frustrated look in her eyes. "I want to say something, but I'm afraid to ask, and think it will sound stupid, too..."

Trying to send a message to Livvy, Liz glances over to her Help!!!

Livvy bit her lip as she listened to the conversation. Amazing how quick she could be forgotten. Boy she felt alone. At the last thing that Liz said about taking strolls again, Livvy slapped her hand to her forehead. A little too loudly. She quickly dropped the book quietly to her stomach and pretended she was asleep. Even allowed her some dramatic effect by breathing a bit loud.
