Karma agreed with the two fellow Ravenclaws. She wasn't sure what they would get out of Karma, but she sure would like to know. She liked Rian's real name as much as her nickname, and she wondered for a moment.

"Deal. But what would you get out of Karma?"

"I still think their names are nice," Liz speaks up.

"But if nicknames are needed, I just don't want to be Lizzie." she says with a grimace on her face. "That's what my auntie calls me, at least my papa doesn't."

Tobi tensed up.

Tobi felt sorry for Aura, a bit. She was kind of a mouse. A bit like Evelyn in that right, quiet and sensitive type. She didn't seem to have many friends, but she seemed to be trying really hard. Maybe she needed girl-friends to talk to. He'd never really seen her with friends, he'd never really seen her at all outside of meal time and classes.

"Aura, do you know Aggie and Valentine?" croaked, motioning to the girls on his left; Aggie was still leaning across him and his voice seemed not to be working quite properly. Aura already seemed to know Cale and Sho. He vaguely wondered where Eddy and Tino were.

Trust Cale to break the tension. A laugh rumbled from Tobi's chest and he couldn't help but rib his best mate a little, after all, Cale had been on his case most of the evening. "So THAT's what happened! Finally, nature bites Cale Thornton! TOLD you your plants are dangerous!"

Rian smiled at Liz. "Oh, they're names are great," she said with a nod. She really did like they're names. They were unique, and very nice.

"Lizzie?" she asked, tipping her head to the side. "I like that," she added, smiling again.

"Don't you dare! Especially because my papa's new... I mean, nuh uh, no way!" She pushes Rian's shoulder playfully.

"Ya, ya. The names are great, but seriously! There names are longer than mine! And that's saying something."she said, grinning at Rian and Liz.

With a tinkling laugh, Liz replies "Copernicus's is by...what one letter? And Plymouth's is shorter!"

"I personally am very fond of the name my mother gave me as well," Copernicus told Liz with an appreciative sideways grin. "But for the sake of the game, we'll let you butcher our names just as you let us butcher yours. You all have quite lovely names already..." He squinted and glanced back at Plymouth again.

"All we need now is Plymouth's approval. And your solemn promise you won't bestow a name on him that sounds at all like a bodily function or a paper product."

Giving Copernicus sweet smile, He really does have a nice smile... she thinks to herself.

"I ummm, thought of a short, umm strong nickname for you, I think..." Liz says really quietly, a little embarrassed.

"Still! It's longer!"she said, grinning. She sighed. "You had to point that out didn't you...."

She rolled her eyes. "Ya, ya. We all know Jennumara is the wierdest name for a girl so no need to be nice."she said, smiling.

She turned to Plymouth. "I promise I won't call you Ply or Plymm."she said, giggling. Now that she thought about it, Plymm did sound like phlym or whatever that things called.

Rian bit her lip. "You know, if you don't want nicknames..." she trailed off, sure that the two boys would understand what she meant. She started thinking of possible nicknames for Copernicus. Cop (how original), Nic (already said) Nicus (that was different)...Hmm, no Perni-anything allowed...

"That means no Ply. Or Plymm," she bit her lip again, this time thinking. "Um, I'm sure Mouth doesn't work either, since it's part of the body..." she joked, not actually thinking about that nickname.

Rather then blushing Amy gave Jake a heartwarming look before beginning to bit on her lower lip. Yet, as he started to laugh a warm smile appeared on her face. She nodded in agreement when he said they was rubbing off on each other.

“Umm maybe we should wait though until after classes start,” she responded after breaking from her laugher. “I had only been there once, but not really gone into the village. Heck I have no clue what all there is to do there…but I am sure we could find something to pass some time.”

Jake couldnt help but return her smile. "there is the Amy I know and love" he said chuckling "if it was up to me" he said pointing to himself " the bad slytherin boy, we would leave right now" he thought for a second "but then again I never been, I might just get you lost." he gave a a goofy grin "Im sure we'll find something to do, I mean dont we always" he told her matter of factly "Im sure we'll find something to do with our time"

Sho grabbed Cale's gravy boat and poured a little extra onto his potatoes as the boy turned back to talk to Tobi. He set the gravy back where Cale had rested it in hopes that the boy would never notice.

"You know... I really love a good mashed potato," he said before eating another forkful of them. "Mm mm mm. That is good stuff."

The boy smiled to the others seemingly oblivious to what they were talking about. It was killing him that he was stopping himself from prodding.

Amy shrugged her shoulders while nodding in agreement with Jake. She thought for a moment about something to do with the current topic, but it slipped from her mind. Concentrating for a moment she decided to forget it.

"So what did you and your sibs do during break since your vacation was canceled," she asked hoping not to make Jake felt hurt again. However, she thought that maybe if she helped him think of happy memories together he would not miss them so bad.

"Shhh!" Cale swatted Tobi. "The hole hall doesn't need to know." He smacked Sho's hand as he put the gravy boat down. "My gravy." His problems with his latest project was not something everyone needed to know about. Especially since it was the first day of school. "Eat a biscuit won't you?" He pushed some hair back down over his forehead in an attempt to hide his bruise.

"Sunrise," he said trying to change the subject, and fearing that it wouldn't change. "Do anything exciting over holiday? Go to the beach? See a Quidditch match?"

"So...?" Copernicus leaned over and raised his eyebrow at her. "Is it a secret?"

He grinned and waited for Plymouth to agree to this plan. Copernicus didn't doubt that his new step-brother would be up for anything that would allow him to keep a captive audience like this.

"His last name is Morgan, if that helps," Copernicus offered. "But Mouth is actually quite appropriate. He does seem to prattle on and on and on."

Dipping her head lower, she says quietly "Come (pronounced Com with long o.) It means order or Universe in French."

Looking up very pink, her hair starting to match her face, "I just thought it suited the name, because of who it belonged to long ago..."

A light lilting laugh. "He seems quite quiet now, however..."

Jake looked at Amy without saying nothing. He thought for a second then said "Umm my brother, sister and I tired to spend the least time we could at home" he told her looking down "it was to loud and it would upset them to much, mostly Abbie" he smiled "thats my little sister's name, anyway we spent most of the summer in a field playing quidditch" he chuckled at the thought "well teaching her how to play, but she mostly just got on the broom and I would fly after her trying to catch her before she got hurt" he sighed "the last thing I need is for my parents to cause more trouble, because of her getting hurt". Jake shook to clear the images to popped up.

Aura looked up at Tobi when he asked her if she knew Aggie Valentine, she definately knew the name but she didn't remember exactly from where. "I think I do, but I'm just so bad with names." Aura chuckle...She smiled softly though, "I think I had her in Potions probably, you know wasn't exactly the most attentive person around for a while there." Aura chuckled, "But thats changing I'm not going to be the 'shy girl' any more...I plan on being friends with everyone and anyone!"

Aura thought for a moment then began to speak, "Worked over summer at a local ice cream palor...it was fun, and hey got really ricidulously hyper...i mean, anyone from Hogwarts would have thought it wasn't even me..."

Nathaniel grinned at Mariel "You know I would say something. I can't help it Mariel.". "It seems like this feast has been going on forever.I'm so exhausted." he smiled. He didn't think that he'd ever been this tired. Jetlag was not his friend. "So Mariel.. am I really the guy you thought I was last year?"

Amy smiled caringly as she listened to Jake. Deciding her theory was not helping she decided to move on to quidditch. "Oh you play? Have you ever tried out for the team at school?"

Then she looked down to notice the cats was missing. She glanced down the long row leading to the door. Huh, she thought wondering if Bella and Will went outside.

Tobi laughed again, "Sho, it's a dangerous thing to mess with a man's gravy, you could lose an arm that way."

Keep laughing, you keep laughing, you can deal with the Aggie that is half in your lap, it's not so bad, I mean, she smells good, she doesn't way that much, her skin is soft. It's not THAT unpleasant....

Tobi ducked Cale's feeble attempt to hurt him crouching down over Aggie, who was still attempting to reach the gravy. "Okay, Ag, there are other gravy boats." He pulled away from her and grabbed another boat from the left end of the table. "Here."

Tobi smiled at Aura, it was good that she was trying to be more outgoing. He felt the need to encourage it. And he certainly understood things being busy where you worked.

"It was pretty busy at my Mum's Inn too," he said, "I'm the allpurpose labour there so I'm always busy - and summer is tourist season - it was nuts. I begged off for a week in Diagon Alley and made my sisters deal with it."

"well I play for fun" Jake told her when she ask him if he plays "I've never tried out for the team, I would like to maybe Ill do it this year" he gave her a smile "are you one of those girls that like a man in uniform?" Jake ask her with a wink.

He notice she looked down and looked to, he notice the cats were missing, he didnt even feel when Bella left he lap, or when Will left Amy's "Wonder where they ran off to" he said to Amy "well if we hear any trouble, or yelling then we'll know were they are" he thought for a second "or at least where Will is at"

Patricia had gone out to the girl's bathroom and had seen the Ravenclaw hourglass was in negative already!! They had barely arrived at school and had lost points already? She walked stiffly to her place at the table, sat down and glared around the table.

"Can someone tell me who lost points for Ravenclaw?" she asked as calmly as possible, not wanting to cause a ruckus. "This is insane, we haven't even started classes yet!"
