Amanda laughed, glad to have a friend like Amelia. "And you do? I'm pretty sure you did forget to tell me! And I thought I was the forgetful one..." she said, shaking her head. "I have one for you too!"

"Im sorry," she apologized. "Shall we go get them, then?" She asked, pushing away her plate, standing up, and grinning at the thought of what she got her friend.

Amanda laughed. "It's fine, don't worry about it, darlin," she said. She pushed her plate away as well, and stood up. "Let's gooo!" Amanda cried, eager to get a present.

Blushing "I got him a new quill."

Turning to Rian "Stupid isn't it...I couldn't figure out what else to get him, but he likes to study..."

Rian shook her head hurriedly. "No! It's a really good idea, actually!" she said truthfully. "It's useful. It's not something that he'll never use." She smiled slightly at Liz. "You see, if you give him a quill, he'll eventually use it, ya know? Everytime he uses it, he'll think of you." she winked at her cousin.

"Oh, great, that's really just what he needs, then." she says sarcastically. But then laughs too. "I guess you never know."

Rian smiled when Liz laughed. She hadn't heard her do that in a while. "You don't, do you?" she grinned and popped another chocolate frog into her mouth. After chewing and swallowing it, she grabbed another one. "Want one?" she asked, offering it to Liz.

"Sure," Liz replies taking one. Nibbling off the leg. "You can never have enough chocolate" says with a sigh.

"This is like.... some deep conversation." Plymouth had been people watching and totally lost track of what they were on about anyway. And playing footsie. Really, she had the cutest little feet he'd ever seen... It was distracting...

He'd tuned in just as Copernicus was asking if he was friends with him. "Um.. well of course, Step-Brother. Little step-brother. What on earth would make you think I wasn't?" Plymouth didn't know. He had the itchy feeling that his stepbrother might be a hair on the self-esteemless side. Sad...

Plymouth turned to CellBell. "What about Daphne? Perni and Daphadill, I knew it right from the beginning, have LOTS in common. I bet she would be his girlfriend. And you two are friends. Do I hear... double dates?!" Plymouth grinned and reached down to tug on Cela's toes. hehe!

"Or.. .Livvy here? Maybe?"

Celandine giggled, "Oh... that would be fun." It wouldn't. At all. But that did not occur to Cela, "Daffy's my BFF. We have matching hair ribbons." Cela tugged on the pink hair ribbon with the gold edging in illustration and smiled brightly at Copernicus, clearly about to say something else when suddenly Plym was tugging on her toes. She managed an impressive squeal and giggle combination and wriggled about to the point where she almost fell out of her seat.

Grabbing hold of Copernicus to steady herself, Cela straightened in her seat, took a sip of her butterbeer and used her foot to gently prod Plymouth in the stomach, "I nearly fell!" Cel poked her tongue out at Plym and took another sip of her drink.

"I don't WANT to go on any double dates with Daphne or Livvy or ANYONE," Copernicus scooted away from the two of them again and gave Livvy an apologetic look. "No offense meant, Livvy. I enjoy spending time with you, but..." He gave them all a pained look. "I have to go... study something. A book. On... Abraxans."

"Then what, pray tell, are you sad about exactly? If you don't WANT a girlfriend, and you're doing just fine of turning girls down, then WHAT do you want?" Copernicus was worse than any girl. Or maybe Plymouth was just wildly distracted by how completely adorable his girlfriend was. She was infectious in all the right ways.

"Would you have cried, CellBell, if you had fell? To make me and Copernicus feel like trolls?" Plymouth dived his arm under the table again, seeking out those toes again.

Livvy looked at them alarmed. She had zoned out again. "Um... what about me?" she asked, confused. Uh-oh. What was Plymouth up to? She lifted her cup of water and as she drank.. she finally understood what they were talking about. Livvy snorted and began choking on the water. She coughed and tried clearing her throat. "No-," she stopped to clear her throat again. "None taken, Copernicus," Livvy said, giving him a wink. She already knew who Copernicus had his eyes on.

"Plymouth.. you should stop worrying about Copernicus' life," she said, chuckling.

Ohhh. Cela looked over at Plymouth a little sadly. Apparently Cope didn't want to spend time with them. "Thats okay, Copernicus... you don't have to spend time with us if you don't want to." Cela looked down at her empty bottle of butterbeer and pushed it away with one finger. She perked up at mention of the words 'study' and 'book' and looked at Copernicus, "A book on Abraxans? Show me?" It would help with their project of course.

Cela listened and looked at Copernicus, curious about his answer.


"Cried? I don't think so. I pro.." Cela interrupted herself with a giggle and this time did manage to fall out of her seat as Plymouth went for her toes. No crying though.

After a moment of being on the ground, giggles bubbled up from Cela and she just lay there, her legs still up on the bench, and her body shaking from laughter.

"Livvy!" Cela asked, from her position on the ground, "Who would you want to go on a double date with?"

Livvy raised an eyebrow. Uh-oh.. dangerous question. How should she answer? "Um.. why do you ask?" she asked, cautiously. Great. A lot of people are on her case now. First Chase.. then Chase.. then Cela.. and most likely Chase. She needed a boyfriend. OR......... a fake boyfriend!

"I'll show you the book later. I was trying to give you some... privacy," Copernicus hedged before he gave Livvy a pleading look. Something along the lines of 'let's put an egg in our shoe and beat it' sort of thing. "But... I'll definitely get back with you two later. Christmas gifts and all that." Ugh. UGH. "Livvy? If you're through with dinner, I could escort you back to the common room?"

Plymouth cracked up to the point of loud, unattractive snorts. His girlfriend was in the floor - the floor where food spittle, post-flung boogers, tracked in abraxan dung, and who knew what else - floor. She was the greatest thing since Chocolate Frog Cards. No question about it.

"Celandine Toussaint! You're going to need a BATH, girlfriend!" Plymouth told her, his head fully under the table to watch her. "Besides, I think we're embarrassinnggggggg my step-brother. He's very, very clean you know."


And Plymouth lowered his voice to a whisper, "I think he's hitting on Livvy. hehehe!"

Something made Livvy jump at what Copernicus said. "Christmas gifts?! Shoot!" she said, slapping her head to her forehead. She then remembered that they were there and she smiled. "I.... totally didn't forget it was Christmas..." Livvy lied. Shoot. Crud. Shoot. Bunny.

She nodded her head with a look of gratitude. Yes! Livvy stood up and smiled. "I think I'm done. I would love that. Thank you," she said, and then elbowed Plymouth who was whispering. Livvy didn't hear what it was.. but if it was Plymouth.... most likely something NOT good.

Cela gave Livvy a puzzled look, or... well she would have if she'd... been able to see her, since Cela was still on the ground and all, "Its a conversation... and... I'm continuing it?" she offered, partly bewildered.

Oooh look. Spiders. Who knew there were tiny little spiders under the Ravenclaw table?

"Okay." Celandine agreed looking up at Copernicus with a bright smile, "Later."


Cela wriggled and untangled her legs from the bench and pulled herself to her feet. "A bath? Silly!" Celandine pulled out her wand and waggled it at Plymouth before using about a dozen cleaning charms on herself, some quite obscure. "Very clean. Like Nico." And clearly Cela had picked up a few things from her brother that resulted from his phobia of dirt.

"It's why Cope smells so good." Cela added, dodging under the table and coming up to sit next to Plymouth, "You think?" Cela looked at Livvy and Copernicus, "I don't really know what he looks like when he's hitting on people." She shifted and faced Plym, "I kind of don't know what you look like either."

He offered his arm to Livvy in a hurry. "Have a pleasant day together," he nodded to them both with a stiff smile and half tugged Livvy toward the door. He just wanted to be out of that gigantic-yet-suffocating room.

"You are my HERO, Liv. I owe you another quest."

Plymouth's arm went around Cela's shoulders when she popped up next to him. "I hit on you all the time... Watch. Watch this." Plymouth closed his eyes and shook his head to get into the groove. Once there, Plymouth in flirt-mode, reached over Celandine to get the salt. He leaned into to sniff her hair and touched her hand on the way to the salt shaker. "Oh. Speaking of smelling GOOD..."

Plymouth sat back and gave Cela the "See?" look. See? He hit on her. Or could. Boy was he smooth.

Livvy snickered at Plymouth. "Sorry... you know you're still loved," she said, ruffling up his hair and began heading towards the entrance.. er.. exit. She grinned at Copernicus. "You're welcome. I needed to escape too." Eep. Them and their questions! Well... question.. singular. "You bet you do!" Then they headed out of the Great Hall.

Cela waved goodbye to Livvy and Copernicus quite cheerfully before picking up another cauldron cake and nibbling on it. "You do?" Cela watched as she had been instructed.

She waited...

...Watching him as he got the salt....

...waiting some more....


...nodding as he spoke; yes they were speaking of smelling good...

"When are you going to start?" Cela asked, blinking at him and cocking her head.

Plymouth smacked his head. "You .. um... well, I was you know. Flirting a little there? You didn't notice?" Plymouth was clearly NOT a good flirter. He sighed. "Well. I'll try again."


After another pause where Plymouth closed his eyes and "got into the groove", he tried again. "Can I have your picture so I can tell Santa that I already have everything I want for Christmas?"


There. Smooth. Festive. Cheesy. And hopefully.. good? EEp.

Celandine nodded once, "Oh."

She looked at him expectantly as he closed his eyes and when he spoke she nodded again, "Alright." Celandine agreed and reached into her bag, pulling out a little album. She opened it and flicked through, eventually taking out a picture of herself, waving and bouncing happily. She passed it to Plymouth solemnly, "Is that one okay?"

She grinned at him, "Want to go for a walk?"
