Probably four pieces of cake and half a bowl of candy was not a good idea for Celandine Toussaint. She was leaning against the table, one foot tapping a mile a minute and hr body quivering slightly as if she was about to break into a dance at any moment. Her eyes roamed over the room, not pausing for too long on any one person before inevitably scrolling back to the table filled with sugary goodness. She reached out her hand towards the nearest bowl of candy.

Rian smiled sheepishly. She would miss this when she was gone: just being with her friends, not doing anything particularly exciting. But...of course she wouldn't think about that now. Now was a time for celebration. Grumpy and/or depressed moods were not allowed, as far as Rian saw it.

"Can't complain," she said cheerfully. "Classes, homework, same ol' same ol'." she said with a shrug. "What about you? Do anything fun lately?"

Sitting up straight, Rian grinned as Liz came over to them. "Would I like my chocolate frog back?" she asked, raising her eyebrows again. What a stupid question. But she could tell Liz was joking, so Rian pretended to think about her answer. "Yeh, I suppose so." she decided, sticking her hand out expectantly and wiggling her eyebrows.

Hearing Nic talk again, Rian turned her attention to him. "Oooh! Could you please get me ... a handful of chocolate frogs, please?" she chuckled, then realized she no longer had her lemonade with her. Hmm, must've set it down somewhere... "And yes, punch for me too," she smiled sweetly, thoroughly enjoying herself.

The excitement was starting to wear off. In fact, Qaz was starting to feel, well, sad. She didn't want this night to end.

Backing away from the crowd, qaz found a space against the wall and sat down. She so wanted this feeling, this night, to go on forever. She watched all of the other players on the team. She saw their joy. Even those who weren't on the team were filled with the joy of the moment.

Leaning her head against the wall, she just watched and tried very hard to burn the memories into her mind.

Livvy grinned. "NOW the family is complete! Just like the ol' days," she said, laughing. Her stomach grumbled and she looked at Perni. Food her eyes said. Foooodddd... Hunger.. starvation.

Livvy grinned and placed her feet where Perni had sat. There. Seat saved. She laughed and nodded her head. "Yes. All of that good stuff Perni. You've got a starving Livvy here," she said, smirking slightly. She was as hungry as a buffaloooo!!!!!

With a sly look on her face, she takes the quill out a sec, and asks "How badly do you want it?" pretending to try to hide it, but still trying to bite back a giggle.

Having the frog dangling from her fingers, she looks at Livvy. I wonder what's going on...Copernicus jumping at Livvy's request...

What?! Okay, taunting Rian with chocolate frogs was about as bad as holding a big, juicy steak in front of a starving dog. "Really, really bad?" she told Liz, her voice making the comment sound like a question. She realized how pathetic she sounded, and started laughing.

"But, of course, if you want it, then Nic will just go get me more." she didn't look over to Copernicus, so she wasn't exactly sure if that was true. But oh well, it worked. She looked expectantly at her cousin, biting her lip to keep from smiling.

Laughing, Liz hands Rian the frog. "I won't make you wait so long to get a chocolate frog, then."

Qaz felt like and idiot...leaning against the wall, trying not to cry. She knew that this was probably one of the happiest moments of her life and she had nobody to share it with. She thought about sending and owl to her mother....dad would probably kill it. She thought about the Shaman back on the Reservation. Most of them didn't see an owl has a happy messenger. There was nobody to talk to....the loneliness started to overwhelm her....

Looking around, Liz spots her friend Qaz. They'd been working hard at the study tables, that past year. Noticing she looked upset about something, she excused herself a moment and walked over to her.

Placing a hand on gently on Qaz's shoulder, "Are you okay?"

"Why thank you," Rian said, managing to sound relieved. She stuck her tongue out at Liz before opening the wrapper and biting off the frog's back legs. That way, it couldn't hop away from her.

Mariel glanced up and blushed slightly as Qaz started to cheer. Sure, she had caught the last snitch which ended the game with their victory, but in all honesty they wouldn't have won without every member of their team playing their best. "Thanks, Qaz," she said a bit quietly from her seat. "We all did great. You're an amazing chaser," she added with a grin.

The second year turned as a girl with pom-poms then told her that she had been cheering. Beaming at the girl, Mariel said, "Really? Was that you? Thanks! We were really glad to have our supporters out in full force today." She thought she had heard her name being shouted a few times, along with some awesome cheers and such, which was even cooler if some of that was coming from someone she didn't even know. And the stands were extra loud today - louder than she had ever remembered them being which had to mean there were loads of people cheering - an awesome day for Ravenclaw and just Quidditch in general.

The thirteen year old paused to take another bite of cake then caught Nia's hesitant smile and wave out of the corner of her eye. She knew the exact reason for her fellow second year's hesitation - the very same reason Mariel felt a bit uncertain as she subconciously rubbed an old bruise on her left shin courtesy of Nia. Of course she couldn't blame her teammate, they were both just obviously really competitive - and aggressive - during practice. And all their fierceness apparently paid off seeing as they just won the Quidditch Cup. And it wasn't like the two of them had ever talked off the pitch. For all Mariel knew, Nia probably didn't go around slapping people outside Quidditch, much like Mariel never bit anyone off the pitch. Determined to get to know the other Ravenclaw a little better, Mariel's smile widened as she said, "You did really well, Nia. You're a brilliant chaser!"

Mariel then noticed Willow in the background eyeing both her and Nia carefully. She didn't really think that they'd get into a slapping fight in the common room, did she? Not that she'd be surprised since the two second years were known for that during practice. But they certainly wouldn't behave that way right after winning the Cup, would they? "Thanks, Captain," Mariel said brightly. "We couldn't have won without you." Because Willow was the best captain ever. Mariel was sure that Willow's no-nonsense approach and dedication was one of the reasons they won.

Taking a the last bite of her snitch cake, Mariel glanced about the crowded room, trying to pick out all her teammates. There was Qaz and Nia and Willow that she had just talked to. And Robert and Elizabeth and Livvy and Becca and Juniper and.... where was Nigel? Turning to Nia again, Mariel asked, "Have you seen Nigel?" She had noticed him take yet another hit to the nose and hoped it wasn't broken for, would it be the seventh time?

Livvy cocked her head at Rian and raised an eyebrow. What did she mean that if she wanted it, Cope would get more? "What do you mean, Rian?" she asked, confused. Livvy just shrugged and smiled at Cope, waiting for her foooodddd.

"Hmm?" Rian asked, turning to Livvy. Ohhh, she misunderstood. Chuckling, Rian shook her head. "Um, Liz asked me how bad I wanted my chocolate frog. And I sounded pathetic when I said 'really, really, bad', so then I said that if Liz wanted my chocolate frog, then I was sure Nic would be a gentleman and get me one for myself." she ended with a grin.

Qaz looked up to Liz and smiled, 'Yes, I'm really okay. Just overwhelmed by it all. Care to have a seat?'

"Sure." she says taking a seat nearby, not far from Livvy and Rian. "How do you think the game went? I mean, I know we won and all, but..."

Copernicus gave them a bow and hustled off to the table piled with sweets. He had to get at least one of everything, plus glasses of punch for everyone... his hands were ridiculously full. He turned and nearly ran over a very wired Celandine Toussaint.

"Hands out of the candy bowl, Cela, or you'll bounce right through the roof. Why don't you get some water and walk it off?"

Cela pulled her hand back guiltily when Copernicus spoke, but flashed an innocent look at him. She had some candy stashed elsewhere. "Sure, Cope. Whatever you say." Hands behind her back, pom-poms hanging from one hip, Cela had the angelic cheerleader look down. She smiled at him and pushed off the table, heading to the door and looking over her shoulder once as if to check he wasn't going to follow. There was plenty of candy stashed by barnabas the barmy. She stepped out into the corridor, twitching slightly.

Livvy cocked her head and just nodded her head. "Okay... then.. boy.. I'm starving. I'm famished," she said, holding her stomach. Rumble rumble rumble. Hunger.... starvation... ack. "You okay Qaz?" Livvy asked the girl. She seemed... out of it.

Becca looked up as someone shot her an encouragement. Cela. She almost got really angry, when she realized... she had no reason to hate Celandine. She was now officially taking Lainey's advice and going for the brother, Copernicus. "Thanks, Cela!" She sort of sat awkwardly in her chair during the hug, unsure of how to hug back. She ended up lightly tapping Cela on the back in return. "The team really appreciates your support."

Being oblivious to any negative feelings of Melly towards Becca, when she overheard her friend say this, she was mildly offended. After their rockin' Hogwarts Brigade in their first year, they weren't even considered friends? Well geez. That sure put some things into perspective.

And then... Becca heard the voice nearby. His voice. She looked over ... to see him looking at her. What had he just said? Since most people were congratulating her, maybe he just had, too. She just stared into his deep blue eyes, lost in thought, before pulling herself together. "Thanks... Copernicus," she replied, then felt her face grow hot and looked away.

But she continued to talk to him. "You're more amazing than any of us. You deserve your own trophy. Just for being super cool and having pretty hair." She dared to make eye contact. What would he say to that? Was he cocky like Plymouth?

Copernicus returned and handed out the cookies and candy and punch and other nonsense to the girls. "At your service, ladies," he gave a short bow before perching on the arm of his chair. He was pleased they were all together again, considering these were his first true Hogwarts friends.

Becca finally had a moment to say something to him, and he glanced back in her direction. Ah, he should have retrieved some punch for her as well. He offered her his glass.

"What's that? I doubt they give out trophies for hair, and if they did, Cale Newell would kill me in my bed if he didn't receive it. But... erm... thanks?" Cope didn't think he had particularly anything hair, but it was awfully nice of her to say. "Did you need anything from the table? I'm errand boy for the laziest girls alive right here tonight, and I can fetch for you too."

Qaz was grateful for the company, and replied, 'It was so intense...so close....I'm really sorry that you weren't up there too.'

Looking up stunned, at what Copernicus just said. "I...ummm..." shaking her head, she just leaves it be.

Turning, back to Qaz, she nods. "I wish I could get a chance at games... Maybe next year, I guess."

Becca had completely ignored everyone else in the room until now. Then she realized how many girls had flocked around Copernicus. He WAS like their servant or something, getting them drinks. She politely shook her head no to his offer. "Uh, no thanks. I'm not lazy. I could do it myself, if I wanted, but I still have some lemonade left." She gestured to her cup, then quickly added, "I really appreciate your offer though. It's really nice that you're so willing to do things for people - you're such a gentleman." And she let out a quiet sigh, continuing to watch him. Not like a creeper or anything. Just in admiration.

Okay... maybe like a creeper. Just a little.

Livvy laughed at Copernicus. He was such a weirdie. And very gentleman like. "Thanks Perni," she said and grabbed a cookie and bit into it. Yummehhh.... her stomach felt loads better now. She glanced over in Becca's direction and smiled. "Hey Becca!" Livvy yelled out, waving her over. "Hey! I heard that Perni!" she said, sticking her tongue out at his comment on laziest girls.

"Don't get me wrong. I like to do things for them," he cast a fond glance toward Livvy, Rian, and Liz. Bossy little things. "Besides, so long as they need me, they'll never get rid of me. That is my genius master plan."

He returned the gesture by poking his own tongue out at her. "Don't strain anything by using your massive brain, Liv," he cracked himself right up.
