| | Quidditch Cup Celebration
The entire Ravenclaw Common Room has been transformed into a place of celebration. Navy and bronze streamers fall from the enchanted ceiling and it appears to be 'raining' gold stars (but nothing falls on the the contents of the room nor its occupants).
Above the fireplace, a massive banner is displayed that proclaims the reason for the party - Ravenclaw has won the Quidditch Cup!
A large table has been set up at the center of the room. The table has been covered with a bronze tablecoth and its topped with platters of food, pitchers of lemonade and pumpkin juice, bowls of sweets, and a massive seven-layered cake in the shape of a snitch sits prominently at the center of the table. The WWN is turned on and blaring a catchy tune by the Weird Sisters.
Come on in, grab some food, and celebrate Ravenclaw's Quidditch Cup victory. |

| be curious, not judgmental Becca entered the common room, still in her Quidditch robes. She pumped her fist in the air. "Ravenclaw is VICTORIOUS!" She held her arm up for a few seconds after for a dramatic effect. Then, she skipped over to the food table and poured herself some pink lemonade. She grabbed two or three chocolate chip cookies and hopped into her armchair, grinning to herself. She sipped the lemonade and bit down into a cookie. "MMMMMmm... house elf cookies," she sighed happily. What a great day.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Margaret Jacqueline Atkinson Morris Fifth Year | Potter’s Princess A+ FangGirl It was on the second time that her eyes were scanning the Common Room that Melly saw the exact person she had been looking for. However, she didn't set forward on a run like she had been planning. Instead, she stared at Willow as she saw the number of people who were surrounding her. Hmm... To be honest, she wasn't that surprised. After all, Willow was the captain and surely a lot of people wanted to congratulate her for her efforts with the team.
Nevertheless, Mel couldn't just stay put, could she? Willow was her friend and she wanted to show her she had seen her and cheered for her, that she was happy for the results and all that. Nevermind if the people surrounding the girl thought the redhead to be insane. The mermaids had firmly believed that the little mermaid was out of her wits for trying to make a human fall in love with her and yet was that not one of the greatest love stories ever written? Same thing with Belle. She too was seen as mad for loving a beast, only for the beast to be proven to be a handsome prince. So why should Melly care? Besides, the girl who had handed her the pompons was there and the third year had to hand them back to the owner.
Willow came first, though.
And so, feeling herself free from Juni's grasp, Melina set her feet into a run, arms opening widely as she moved, only to tackle Willow once she was close enough to the girl. "CONGRATULATIOOONS!," She squeaked a bit too loudly once her arms were wrapped around the older girl. "I KNEW you'd make it!," She added excitedly, letting go of Willow to beam at her in an absurdly happy way.
Spotting the pompons girl right next to her, Melly, for once not blushing, turned to face her and handed her the pompons. "Thank you," She grinned. If it hadn't been for those, she wouldn't have been able to shout loud enough and show her house just how proud she was of them.

| Wowza! "You lost thirty points?" Asked Willow, looking at her. That was, for some reason, hard to believe. Seriously, though - THIRTY points? What had she done? Jinx a professor or something like that?
As she waited for Celandine's answer, Willow decided that taking a bite of her cake was the only thing she could. So she did. And it was really good, so it managed to distract her a little from what the girl had said. . .
. . . Huh? Had someone tapped her on the shoulder?
Slowly turning around and swallowing the piece of cake as she did so, the fifth year realized that it had been none other than Juniper Goodwin. Her other seeker, and an amazing one at that. "Hi, Juniper," said Willow with a little smile. She never smiled at Juniper -she never smiled to most people, actually- but since they had just won the Quidditch match. . . "Do you know Celandine?" And without waiting for her reply, she went on, "Juniper meet Celandine. Celandine this is Juniper - one of our seekers."
As soon as she heard Celandine talking, Willow once again turned to look at her. And then she could only blink. This one was sure a very. . . alive person, for lack of a better word. However, Willow did catch most of what the girl had uttered, "I, erm, I'm glad he was cheering for us, I guess." Right? Even if he HAD cheered for Gryffindor, too. . . "Agitated? In what way? Was he sick?" Would she ever stop asking questions? She took a deep breath. "Clifford Carden was cheering for us? Talk about something I was not expecting." Clifford Carden was a really weird one - no normal person confused a gnome with a potatoe, after all.
However, all the thoughts she was having about gnomes, potatoes, Dominic Denton being sick and Quidditch, left her head when she felt herself going backwards due to the diminute figure who had her arms around her.
Thank Goodness for the food table. Had it not been for it, Willow would have fell over. "Thank you, Melina!" Managed the girl to say, a beam dancing on her lips. "The team was fantastic." Really, they deserved to be congratulated, too!
Now - people had better stop hugging her. It was beginning to get on her nerves.

Nia ran into the Common Room, a grin spread across her face. And if it were possible, that grin only got bigger and her eyes lit up as she saw the celebration going on. Eeeeeeeee! She couldn't wait to write home and tell her parents all about it. First though, she had some congratulating to do. And she was very hungry. She'd been too nervous to eat before the match, and now she was starving. Plus it seemed that the food table was where everyone was gathered.
She headed over towards Juniper, Willow and Cela, originally planning for big group hug, and then deciding better of it since people were talking and she didn't want to seem rude. She settled for nibbling on some awesome looking cookes instead, and waited her turn.

As she walked into the common room, a huge grin sprang to Rian's face. They won the cup! She was actually a bit upset with herself for not being there to actually watch it happen, but at least she could celebrate it now!
And there was cake!!
Of course Rian headed over to the table. She hummed the song on the radio to herself as she cut a piece of cake. After setting the piece on a paper plate, she made her way over to the sweets. Chocolate frogs! She quickly poured herself a glass of lemonade, then turned to find someone she knew. Or maybe someone she didn't. New friends were always good.

"Yeah." Cela sighed a little, her bottom lip wibbling, "I lost ten points for hiding behind Plymouth in DaDA, then um," Cela glanced up at the older girl and around at the others, a blush colouring her cheeks, "Then I lost 20 points when Copernicus kissed me and I we fell out of a tree in front of Professor Kazimeriz. And he made us both electric shocky for a while."
Cela giggled a bit, "Oh I know Juni, she helped me move a giant carpet back at Belle's so I could skate around the common room.
She attempted to think over the questions about Dom-in-ick, "Well, he was talking to... umm... Vannie?" Cela said the name uncertainly, "And he got all..." Cela made an angsty face in illustration. "I don't know why, but he didn't look sick exactly." Quote:

Qaz never really listen to the WWN, but somehow, it didn't seem to fit. Ravenclaw needed a victory song. She'd have to work on the over the summer holiday.

She took another bite of her cookie, and savoured the chocolatey goodness. "So who else was up there supporting the Ravens? It was certainly loud, so I'm guessing some of the other houses joined in?"

Mariel finally made it to the common room to see that it had been fabulously decorated for a party, packed with her housemates. It wasn't all that surprising that it took the 13 year old so long to arrive as she had been, in her elation, trying to skip the whole way there after retrieving her broom from the pitch, and skipping was something this Ravenclaw girl had never done, managing to stumble over her own feet several times during her journey.
Still unable to erase the grin that seemed to be permanently etched on her face, Mariel gave a cheerful wave to her teammates and all their fierce supporters as she bounded over to the food-ladened table. Oooh cake, that's just what she needed. Grabbing a piece of the snitch cake, the second year did a little pirouette underneath the falling stars that almost seemed to drop on her, butnotreally, and sank into the nearest chair. She had been energized by all the adrenaline, but now that it was starting to fade, she was starting to feel tired.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Margaret Jacqueline Atkinson Morris Fifth Year | Potter’s Princess A+ FangGirl Melly beamed even more at Willow once she saw the other girl's own wide smile. Though she had never spent as much time as she wished with the older girl, she still was quite sure she had never seen more than a tiny smile in her lips. It appeared that that match had done more good to the Ravenclaw students than she would dare to dream it would. "You should smile more often," She nodded at Willow. "You look beautiful when you smile," She said honestly. And she did. She was certain that if Willow smiled more often, she'd have half of the boys of the school on their knees to ask her to go to Hogsmeade with them. If that happened, then perhaps she'd be able to meet her own prince charming, just like Issy had. That would be wonderful, wouldn't it?
"Yes, they were!," Melina agreeded happily. "I should congratulate Becca as well but I can't see her," She sighed, frowning slightly as she looked around in search of the other girl. Obviously, she didn't see her, all thanks to her petite size. Ah well, no biggie. Truth to be told, Mel was kind of scared of Becca anyway, so perhaps it was better not to chase her. She didn't want to get bitten, after all.
Turning to the pompons girl as hers got taken away from her hands, Melly grinned yet again. "I'm Melly, by the way," She introduced herself, finding that it would not be polite to leave the nice girl without knowing her name. "It's a pleasure to meet you," She added, picking each side of her skirt to do a curtsy. She usually didn't do such things, but heck, she felt like it. That was a day of celebration and a celebration would never be a celebration without a curtsy or two as far as she was concerned. Too bad she didn't have the right dress for it though. Hmm... She'd have to arrange one next time.
All of those thoughts left her mind at the sound of the name 'Copernicus'. Merlin, she hadn't seen him for so long... Too long, indeed. And he had kissed the pompons girl? That was... That was... At once, the grin faded from her face. So the pompons girl was with whom Copernicus would have his happily ever after, was it? Sigh. She should have known she was too young to have met her prince. The girls in fairytales were all between the ages of sixteen and eighteen, so why should she find her loved one at fourteen?
Silly, silly Melina. And yet why was it that she felt sad?
She couldn't let them see it though. That was a day for happiness. And even though she hated it when people feigned to be glad, she just had to do it herself. The Ravenclaws deserved some joy, right? She wouldn't be the one to spoil their fun. That's why she allowed a smile to creep up to her lips, a smile that didn't conceal all the joy it had earlier.

Rachel beamed as she ran into the Ravenclaw Common Room, not hindering for a second at the sight that greeted her. Slowing down to avoid a collision with an innocent person, she meandered through the people and made herself look around and appreciate the decoration. Elves must been pretty busy, setting up this place in less than five minutes must not be the easiest thing to do...
Spotting Rian, she grinned and rushed over to her friend. "Hey Rian! Great game, right? A little exhausting though... Seriously, I feel like I was the the one up there on those brooms!" she said excitedly, panting a little from exhilaration. Brimming with happiness, she grinned with glee and grabbed a slice of the cake and began nibbling on the edge. Knowing that she was absolutely capable - and willing - to finish the whole cake by herself, she decided to take it easy on the first few bites.
Spotting Willow Kovak engulfed by a sea of people in blue (as to be expected), she realised that abandoning her cake and trying to reach the Willow was probably not the best idea at the moment. Reluctant to wait until later to congratulate the Captain, she grinned as an idea came to her and quickly drew her wand. "Excuse me one second," she said to Rian and muttered two quick spells under her breath. Pocketing the wand, she raised her head to the air and smiled as she spotted a piece of parchment and a quill zooming towards her.
Preparing herself, she deftly caught them and quickly squatted down next to the table, positioning the parchment in a way that would make it the least uncomfortable for her to write. Biting the back of the quill for a second, she closed her eyes for a second to think of what to write, she smiled and quickly put quill to parchment and wrote, almost forgetting to open her eyes. Quote:
To Captain Willow Kovak,
Reaching you right now would not only be a futile attempt, but also a possible suicidal mission so I thought that this was a lot easier.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You guys were AMAZING up there!!! I only saw the second half, but I must confess that - out of all the Quidditch games I've attended - this one was by far the most intense, the most exhausting and the most exhilarating! You and the rest of the team totally deserved to win today, you were absolutely fantastic!!!
I hope to congratulate you in person later tonight, and also to tell you how HAPPY I am that we won for the THIRD YEAR IN A ROW!!! (Can you believe it?!?!)
Rachel Rider
Grinning, she folded the parchment in two, drew her wand and pointed it at the parchment, quickly muttering a few words. She watched as the folded parchment molded itself in a paper eagle and fly into the air. Blowing on it, she watched as it soared over to the Ravenclaw Captain and land rather ungracefully on top of her head. Well... At least she'll notice that she had a paper eagle on her head.

Qaz was so filled with joy and she wanted to share. She couldn't help thinking about the common room down the corridor. She had to do something....so...
Qaz walked over to the table with the cake and proceeded to cut several pieces of cake. Enough to fill two large plates. With one in each hand, she headed out of the Ravie common room (which took a little bit of tricky balancing once she got to the door) and headed off towards the Gryffindor Common Room.

Rian turned when she heard a familiar voice. She continued to grin as Rachel started talking to her, and she was once again mad that she hadn't been there to see her house win the Quidditch cup. "Congrats Rach!" she exclaimed when her friend was done talking. A little late...but better late then never. She threw her arms around the prefect, then leaned back, laughing. "I didn't get to see it...but I wish I could've! I bet it was spectacular! Was it?" she remembered the cake she had in her hands, and took a bite. She watched as Rachel sent a letter to Willow, and laughed. That was probably the best means of communication at the moment, if you wanted to talk to the hero of the day - Willow Kovac. "Qaz!" Rian shouted, waving an arm at the girl. "Congratulations!" she shouted, her eyes lit up with excitement.

"Thanks. Yeah, it was amazing!!! Really spectacular - I was out of breath just by watching them play!" she said, grinning from ear to ear. "It's a shame you didn't see it though, and if it's any comfort; I only saw the second half," she added, not quite knowing how to comfort her. The fact that she was leaving made the phrase, 'There's always next year,' quite useless. Grinning as Rian laughed at the letter, she shrugged and said defensively, "Hey, it's probably the only mean of communication that doesn't involve pushing and shoving." Picking up her cake again, she nibbled on the second bit, content with just watching people celebrate, feeling happier by the second. Jake's going to be getting one heck of a letter after this... Poor Sky.

Rian nodded, still excited. "I bet. I can't believe that I didn't like quidditch before last year! It's really quite exciting...and it's a nice way to get away from all the schoolwork and stuff like that." She bit her lip as she continued, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "If I weren't so darn scared of heights, I'd probably actually try out for the team." "You're probably right," she agreed, her smile coming back to her face. "Willow seems pretty .... yeah," words weren't necessary, because it was quite obvious that Willow seemed pretty popular.

Nia saw Mariel wave, and bit her lip. The reason for her hesistation was down to the bruises and bite marks Nia had managed to obtain over the last few practices. It seemed that the two of them competing against each other in practice was not a wise idea. A bit too zealous over who had the quaffle perhaps. Nia's arms were not a pretty sight from the purple marks.
Today though, they had played as a team, and had done amazing - and putting aside her usual attitude, Nia smiled and waved back. The girl deserved it afterall, she had done the Ravens proud with her seeking abilities. They were all different on the pitch to off, and maybe it'd be good to get to know her fellow second year. "Handy that he knew that though, cos it made your area of the stands pretty impressive." She shook back her blonde hair trying to flatten it from where is had fluffed up from flying. Cela's next words made Nia's jaw drop. "The Slythies? Honestly?" Nia frowned. She knew of one Slytherin who wouldn't have been supporting Ravenclaw. Her brother. If he had managed to show at all that is.
"Well, I certainly enjoyed the atmosphere. It was a thrill to fly today, with so much support." Finishing her cookie, Nia eyed Cela's cake. "Good?" she questioned, gesturing towards it. "Real good food for after sport!" she said with a chuckle.

"Cela it is, then," Melina smiled as brightly as she could at that moment. It hurt to smile quite a bit, especially after she found out that this Celandine was in the same year as she. So she had gotten her happily ever after earlier, huh? And she had caught the nicest boy Melly had ever met at the school - nevermind that she had only spoken to him some two times during all of the school year. If Melly didn't know herself, she'd actually say that she was quite jealous of Cela. But she couldn't be, could she? Melly was never jealous. Jealousy was a horrid thing she didn't wish to posess. Ever.
"I don't have any friends in my year," She answered truthfully. "And mine are mostly Ravenclaws, older Ravenclaws," She nodded, her eyes skipping to Juni. Hmm, Juni deserved a big hug as well, didn't she? Yes, she did, and Melly would give it to her, but not now. For the first time ever, she felt like she needed to be hugged and not like she should give the hugs, even if she knew she did.
Ah, how sillier could she be?

We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back. |

She nodded at the Slythie question, "Oh sure, Paris was cheering for us and so were Clifford and Evangeline. I think there were others too, but I got too excited cheering myself."
Cela nodded earnestly, still unawares of the tiny dot of cream on her nose, "Really good." she enthused. Quote:

Qaz entered the common room again, licking frosting from her thumb and smiling a bit. Gryffindor really did give them a good fight. She just hoped that nobody got on her case for giving them some of their cake.
She spotted Rian, who waved to her when she was on her way out the door, and wandered over. 'I bet you can guess the headline of the next Ravie Reader, can't you?. I hope to get it out tomorrow...but I'm missing a few articles. Oh, well, end of term...finals coming...QUIDDITCH CELEBRATION!' |

She grabbed two or three chocolate chip cookies and hopped into her armchair, grinning to herself. She sipped the lemonade and bit down into a cookie. "MMMMMmm... house elf cookies," she sighed happily. What a great day. Copernicus grabbed some punch and a handful of cookies before falling into a chair near the Ravenclaw keeper. "You lot were amazing," he told her very seriously. "I can't even stay upright on my broom the whole time, so especially amazing." Quote:

Cela turned slightly when she heard Copernicus and looked around for Plymouth, but he was probably off singing to his plants or something. She grinned at Cope and picked up a piece of cake, holding it up in a salute and cramming a piece in her mouth, clearly unconcerned about keeping up appearances. She licked off her fingers happily and speculatively eyed the candy on the table. Hmmmmm. She took one and tossed it up in the air, catching it in her mouth. NOM.
