The door swings open and you spot a middle-aged blonde woman sitting at the large, ornamental desk reading a book. She glances up as you walk in and takes off her reading glasses, places her book and glasses on the desk and asks, "May I help you, dear?
The walls are a deep, almost blood red with gold accents, it is obvious the woman in front of you was a Gryffindor. There are interesting knick-knacks on the shelves and some... odd looking plants by the window. A large tank containing what looks like over grown goldfish is off to the left resting on a Oriental looking table. Off to the left side of the room was what appeared to be a little dog house, with a small skunk curled up inside. "Umm..may I help you?" Oh yes, the woman was talking to you...

Fighting back an amused expression at Pierce's carefree attitude when she put her feet on her desk, the fifth year shrugged it off nonchalantly and took the seat she indicated to. But not before first checking to ensure it was clean; last thing he needed was grime and other stuff on his bum. And with a professor as relaxed as this one was, who knew what she would do to her chairs!
Glancing around for a moment, Dominic only then realized that although he'd been a Hogwarts student for a year and a half now, he'd never been in this office. Nor had he ever really taken notice that she was evidently a former Gryffindor. At least he would have guessed that by the scarlet red walls with gold accents. All the little knick-knacks and odd plants and goldfish also gave way to the fact that she was a collector too. Interesting ...
"Well, I quite simply had something that I wished to share with you," Dominic cut to the chase. "Among the rest of the professors here as well. But it's just a little something that I wrote at the Welcoming Feast to honor all of you, in um, my own way..." The fifth year nodded, withdrawing the parchment and waiting for her to give the okay before he would read it (since the office was empty, no harm in that).

Ah, how comforting she was, despite her casualness. In an odd way, it was refreshing, yet more nerve-wrecking than if she hadn't been so casual. Uneasily, Dominic cleared his throat, knowing better than to keep her waiting too long, as he eyed the door briefly before turning back towards the parchment and the Professor.
"Alright, here goes," he smiled lightly in returning, hoping to ease the lines of communication and nervousness.
"When disgraced in the eyes of Kaz
And beneath my bravery I weep,
With deaf ears and my tearless cries,
And looking up to the dias, curse my sleep;
To wish upon me one more chance,
Featuring all whom make least,
Desire in us all to dance,
With that let us contend with deist
Yet these thoughts, I find myself despising,
How I think with glee and then to you,
Like climbing these endless stairs and always arising,
But from the clouds to the grounds, and then the loo
For no matter how much pride or wealth I bring,
That I scorn to be as half as worthy as you kings."
Once he finished the sonnet, Dominic rolled it back up carefully as he waited for her response.

By now, Dominic was a hundred percent certain there was something in this woman's tea. She was simply way to happy, but whatever, it was better than her thinking it terrible or needing some interpretative dance to go with it. "Thank you," the fifth year replied, repocketing the rolled up parchment. "Yes. Every last word and line was written by me. I guess we all have our skills or something like that," he nodded encouragingly at her; hers must have been in acting hyperactive and maybe transfiguration too, he guessed.
