The first thing you notice about this office is the exceptionally large desk, which, if you look closer; seems to have unusual scuffmarks on its surface. Perhaps it serves a less mundane purpose than simply a desk? A large and comfortable looking chair sits behind it; obviously this is Ethan’s chair though you will rarely find him sitting in it.

Three smaller, yet no less comfortable looking chairs are arranged facing the desk, ready for any visiting students to take a seat. While waiting you might notice a large bookcase along one wall; though there are no books on it. Instead it is brimming with photo frames. Pictures of Ethan in his days as a student at WADA, one of him as a thirteen year old in Slytherin robes, a selection of him a few years ago with various dragons in the background, one of him on a muggle sailing ship, another on stage dressed in tights and holding a skull and one of him in Egypt working with curse breakers. An old looking gramophone sits on the bookcase with a selection of records stacked haphazardly to one side, various eras of music are represented; of both the wizarding and the muggle variety. On the walls his OWL and NEWT results are proudly displayed alongside certificates proclaiming his knowledge and familiarity with various Dragon breeds.

A large basket sits in one corner, and a slight snoring sound can often be heard coming from this direction where Ethan’s chihuahua puppy makes its bed.

The walls and ceiling are blue for reasons Truebridge hasn’t discovered, but he is content with the décor for now.

But where is the professor?

Finally, Truebridge looked back at him quite indifferently. Figures that NOW he would want to ask his opinion of things. He pondered the two alternatives before him; Cel-an-dine already knew of his little sonnet thing thanks to Kapoor but sharing what he learned? It was true though that he never doubted his own worth, but that was really the advantage of writings. No one said it had to be truthful. Maybe ... Perhaps Cel-an-dine could help him with his learning actually... It was the other matter though, unrelated to the sonnet which would have to wait until he was done and she was gone.

Exhaling deeply, for he had not realized he had been holding his breath, the corner of Dom's lips twitched upward slightly. "We can continue now. No worries." Honest with himself and Krazi... and Truebridge. "Well, if I could be truthful, which with you, Professor, I think that I can... I honestly feel that what I have learned is to really never try to interfere with a Professor's decision or wrath. Particularly Kraz... Kazimeriz. While you might have good intentions in wanting to protect your housemates--" even those with biting temperaments "--it would be better to just allow the Professor to take his wrath out on whoever his victim is. And then if perhaps later, after the situation has fizzled out, if I feel that student has been treated unjustly, then to go to the Headmaster or my Head of House."

"Excellent." Ethan answered, beginning to write a response for Iliana. He paused the scratching of his quill and looked up at Dominic, "What I think you need to understand, is that we have our reasons for doing things that may not always be clear from the get go. Professor Kazimeriz is someone that demands respect, but more than that, he deserves it. You can learn from him, I certainly did and my lessons were much harsher than this." Ethan glanced at a portrait of himself on the bookcase, in Slytherin robes.

With a quick look at Celandine he added, "He is very good at fitting the punishment, not only to the crime but to the culprit. Tell me Dominic, if you can, what were the terms of this... sonnet sharing?"

Perhaps Cel-an-dine being in the room was like a trigger to his mental coherency, since thoughts were definitely flowing much clearer now than they were before. "I suspected as much. That is usually how it goes with these things." Ethan nodded, "I expect he intended you to do so to show you have learned respect. It sounds like you have done just that. And more than that, this sonnet is very good. You have put alot of thought into that, so perhaps you can transfer that lesson to areas in your life where you perhaps are not putting in enough effort? Just a suggestion mind you, not a directive." Zan held up one finger and almost smiled.

He cleared his throat and looked at the note he was writing for Iliana and began adding something else. "It may be worthwhile to start looking for lessons; not to share with Professor Kr...Kazimeriz necessarily, more for yourself? Might as well get something out of it right?"

Weeeeeeeeeeeell And here she was, outside a Professors office again. Everything for the work. She was thinking of how much funner it would be to just hop infront of people and taking their picture, instead of actually standing there while the subject aka victim was all prepared.

Well atleast, she had her shades now, protecting her from the assaulting flash of the camera. Hehehe.

Walking up to the door, Miranda knocked on the door and waited.
Maybe she could snap a picture just as the door opened. Awesome!

If there wasn't anything else, could you take this back and if you don't mind letting whoever is waiting out there know that I'll be with them as soon as Dominic and I are done." Truebridge nodded at her and turned back to Dominic in surprise.

"It isn't a problem if there was something else you wished to talk about. And actually, this isn't all that busy. I much prefer it when it is quiet though don't you?"

The door was being opened and Miranda's eyes grew wide with excitement, her camera was held firmy in her hands and ready to take- Oh!
Miranda looked intently at the girl who had stepped out of the office, she knew her from around school. What was her name... she was pouting a bit, Miranda didn't like it when she didn't know the names of her fellow students.

Dominic was in there? Why does he always seem to be in the same places as she was??
"Oh..." man-to-man? "Ok, thankyoooooooou!" Miranda said as she watched Celandine go.

So Miranda waited, pacing and generally freaking out looking like she needed to visit the loo.

Halfway out of his seat and towards the door, Dominic stopped to look steadily at the Professor. Apparently he knew something was up because he was practically throwing Cel-an-dine out the door now that the note was finished and telling her to have the person behind the door wait. The most irritating part about being understood was that you couldn't really hide anything. Not without being noticed anyway, which in some regards Dominic missed being invisible.

"Yes, most of the time I do prefer the quiet, except on the quidditch pitch," because that noise couldn't be helped and most of it actually helped his focus. Move the adrenaline through his system.

Waiting for Cela to leave before he'd continue, his gaze followed her cheerful self out of the office. It was people like her that reminded him of why he liked quiet. Not that he minded Cela, as she was quite a nice girl, but it was just her hyperness got to him sometimes. "Yes, later Cel-an-dine," Dom called after her, as she stepped into the hall. Blinking as he heard her telling whoever was waiting that he was having a 'man talk', the fifth year's brows furrowed together. Man talk? Is that what she thought this was? Canaries! Women could be soooo darnneddd confusing!

Nonchalantly, he turned his attention back on the History Professor. "Well there was one other thing," he blinked, trying to clear his head and figure out how to say what he wanted to. "There's this girl... mysterious, smart, funny, athletic ..." Who knew he, Dominic Denton, would willing talk of this subject? But Caleum wasn't hear and Ethan was really the only other person who Dom could really trust with the information. Not like he had a best friend. "... Anyway, everytime she's near, I get this strange sensation. I think, well, I might be falling for her." His cheeks flushed at coming out with this out loud.

Enjoy it? Dominic simply took in his advice though, but to be honest, he wasn't sure whether the captain was insane or not. Sure there were questionable moments but in the most times, he found her presence mysterious and an adventure.

Did she know? Perhaps but unlikely not.

Dom watched the professor with curiosity, wondering what was ticking through his brain. He didn't have to wait long though before catching the nod; Truebridge was going to give him advice. An exit strategy - that sounded difficult, but useful. Even if she wasn't crazy, it'd still be nice to have a plan in case she didn't take to his presentation well.

Poem or Shakespeare? His memory flashed back to Kapoor's office when Cel-an-dine had called his sonnet 'Shakespearean'. He knew then what he needed to do: Write a new sonnet. About her.

"I think that I will write a poem..." Dom said decidedly, as he definitely couldn't imagine him outright saying it to her.

No pick up lines. Dear Merlin; he didn't even really know any! And if he did, well he didn't ... mean to know them?

The last statement brought him back to almost eighteen months ago in the fifth floor corridor. Camira liked him; no wait, she was infatuated with him. It wasn't that he disliked her, but there just didn't seem to be any pizazz. No adventure.

"Yes I agree with you there. Definitely easier to like someone than be liked by someone you don't." But then again, if the Claw didn't like him, then what? Move on. Females were strange creatures; who knew or could predict their actions?

Truebridge stood up and went over to his desk. After rummaging around in his drawers for a few moments he found what he was looking for and moved over to Dominic, two small books extended. The first was a book of Shakespearian sonnets and the second was Sun Tzu's Art of War.

"I'm not sure how much help I can be, really. But you can have these if you like, they were written by two very great men. They certainly can't hurt."

"I have extras. There are some books that you can never have too many copies of, gives you the flexibility to share when you need to. The Art of War might help with a possible exit strategy, interactions with Professor Kazimeriz and maybe even with your Quidditch. All you need to promise me is to keep hold of them as long as you need them and one day pass them on if you meet someone else that might." Truebridge told the prefect.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear This was baaaaaaad. Not only was the deadline approaching, it seemed like it already had passed. Maybe it had! Uh oh.

And before Miranda could dwell on it more, the door opened! Yaaaay! She brought her camera up, putting on her gigantic sunglasses, and-
"Oh hi Dominic" she said wawing, somewhat dissapointed of not being able to flashattach the Professor. She had already ambushed Dominic before... "Thanks!" she said already halfway inside the office.

Miranda was about to make no comment and just take the photograph, but as soon as her eyes caught glimpse of the Professor, sitting down with a...little creature, she stopped. She had to squint through the shades to see if the thing was even moving. What is that? She straightened up.
"Hello, Professor." she said in a businesslike voice. Miranda felt like she was in one of those SuperSecretAgent movies her father had come to love. All that was needed was for Truebridge to be bald with a scar over his eye.

She wasn't sure how he'd react to a sudden flashing, and since the...''little'' crup was there , Miranda didn't want to scare it. Better ask first.

"Huh?" Miranda snapped her head up as the professor said her name. She had drifted off, but those action-movie daydreams would have to wait. "Oh yes, I hope I'm not interrupting you sir, but I was hoping to get a picture of you," she held up her camera, "It's for the yearbook!" she smiled nervously. "Oh please pleaaaasseeee let me take a picture of you. Omgosh I'm not going to be ready for the deadliiiine!" Professor Kazimeriz had dismissed Miranda when she had asked him, but she hoped Truebridge wouldn't mind getting his picture taken.

"A picture?" Ethan eyed the camera and opened his desk draw, taking a pre-signed and cut picture out and handing it to her. "There's a picture. Or actually, take your pick." He passed her an entire stack and shrugged.

Ethan stood up and moved over to his record player and started searching through the records. He held up two, Wizarding rock band 'The Chimaeras', and the soundtrack to West Side Story. "We need some sounds. Which one?" Ethan asked Miranda.

Miranda smiled as the professor started to take thing out from his desk. And it was a picture!
Actually, there were alot of them!
"Oh, uh, thanks..." she fumbled with the stack, almost dropping a few on the floor. This she had not expected. Looking down she noticed they had been signed. Akwardly pushing her sunglasses up to the top of her head, Miranda began to read the writing. It was indeed Professor Truebridge's autograph.
She snorted. Talk about being conceited. Did he actually go around handing these out?

Her head snapped up when the professor started to talk about the music. Miranda's eyes widened at the sight of the West Side Story record. Her mother sang those tunes at home from time to time.
"Um, I haven't heard those others Chim..something... she stammered. Maybe she should just take the whole stack and herself back to the Yearbook headquarters "I don't know sir, you pick!" she grinned akwardly

Kayla walked down the corridor towards Professor Truebridge's office and was glad to see that the door was open. Good, means he is in she thought. She stood outside the doorway with her hand hovering in the air and just about to knock on the door when he heard him ask Miranda to choose between West Side Story and the rock band 'The Chimaeras'.

Oh how could she not know who 'The Chimaeras' were? They hadn't been together long but their music had totally rocked. Her mother had - had all their albums and Kayla had often listened to them. She raised her hand and knocked on the door.
