Lie in her bed. "What bed!" She said out loud. "All, I did was apologise and I end up like this. It's not fair. I thought you'd support us on this." Agie frowned. She liked Professor Morgan. But after now? Well she wasn't so sure. She didn't even seem concerned. All she wanted to do was show her where to start cleaning.

"You, you just don't.." Agie was going to say care, but then she saw Lyra crying. Agie realised how selfish she was being. Her being up set, had made her best friend upset and all she was trying to do was help her. Agie covered her face with her hands and sobbed. She hasn't been this upset for a long time. She was humiliated and her best friend was upset, but no one would do anything about it to help them. To help her. So all that was left to do was cry.

But what that monstrous, vile excuse for a professor did to her was uncalled for. I mean, what did they construct detention for? And what does that teach students who want to apologize for their actions?”

She crossed her arms to her chest as this was going no where and fast. “I’m sorry but what that poor excuse for a professor just taught me in life is that I will NEVER apologize for my actions again. If someone doesn’t like it, then that is just tough luck for them.” Tears began to stream down her face as she was beyond the realms of angry at this point. There was nothing that she could do for her best friend except watch her cry in humiliation.

"Girls, girls!" She said, raising her hand in protest. "You find me heartless and uncaring but that is far from the truth. The point is, as unfortunate as it may be, I am powerless to stop this. Agie has a punishment set before her and there's nothing to be done about it other than to hold your head up high and let him know that you respect his decision, as well as mine, by doing your best to get through the task at hand." She said. Then she looked over at Lyra and said, "You are more than welcomed to stay with her if you’d like to help. But there's to be no magic, girls." Iliana reached over and pulled a few tissues from the box on her desk and handed them over with a sadden expression. She hated this. Hated being made the bad guy in order to support Kazimeriz. Though, she could hate it all she liked… there was nothing she could do now but hope they understood that trying to fight this would be futile.

Iliana stood up and returned her attention back to Agie. "Now, when you’re composed enough to venture outside, I will take you to the pens." Taking a step closer she added. "You can do this, hun. Remember, Gryffindors are intrepid. It takes a lot more than smelly nogtails to defeat us." She said encouragingly.

Allie nodded at the Professor. Even though Jake seemed really unwilling to go, she had to take him. It was only right...and she wasn't going to have it on her conscience how he couldn't play in his first quidditch match because of her.
"Come on, Jake." she said. "You NEED to goto the hospital wing! You can leave you arm all popped out like that."

Felixir 02-17-2009 05:41 PM

"No," Jake growled. They were outside the door, and she was succeeding in pulling him, until he gave an almighty wrench and ran for it, his speediness coming in handy. He headed for the Entrance Hall, so he could dive for his common room and to safety.

They weren't making him go. Nuh-uh. No siree bob.

BeccaBear 02-17-2009 05:47 PM

Allie had thought she could have just pulled him to the Hospital Wing...it had worked on getting him down there. Then after this she would seek help for this new manhandling problem, and it would be over with. But noo, jake had to pull away and start running as fast as he could. How did a boy so small run so fast?
"JAKKKKEEE youuuu neeed to go!" she yelled, running after him.

Lyra took a tissue and blew her nose, then dabbed her eyes dry. She really didn't want to stay and clean out pens but she didn't want Agie to do it by herself either. She sighed as she nodded her head yes and added, "I will help her, if that is okay with you Professor." Her voice was more calming now as there was nothing that Professor Morgan could do and there was no sense in taking her anger out on someone that was an innocent by standard.

SweetAussie 02-18-2009 10:19 AM

Agie refused the tissues and wiped her eyes and SNOUT on her sleeves instead. "Where is the slave labour. I mean pens? And Lyra wont be helping me." Agie said stubbornly, folding her arms. There was no way she was dragging her bestie to that smelly place. It was bad enough that she had to go there. And use no magic. Agie didn't have the energy to fight back any more. She had learnt a lot today. Something that should should have never learnt.

LadyNerd 02-19-2009 03:30 AM

Lyra's eyes shot towards Agie as she said she was not helping. She didn't mind helping at all and give or take, it might be bad but together they could have some fun. "Why not? I want to help. You have helped me in so many ways, Agie and I want to be here for you." And collect some dirt.

Jake bit hit lip and stared at the floor as Allie scolded him a little. "But I don't want to!" he whined, as Allie mentioned the hospital wing. He had an urge to stamp his foot, but that probably wouldn't do him ant favours at the moment. And yep, there it was. Allie had hold of Jake's hand and was pulling him away.

Jake, pouting and whining, let his feet go with the flow this time, though he didn't stop complaining. "No, Allie! It ain't fair!" Letting his face show his anger, Jake added. "Where are we even going?"

"You'll find out soon enough." said Allie, as sh etook him to the hut.
She was surprised he didn't drag his feet, or try to escape like last time. But then again, he didn't know where they were going either. She figured once he realized that they were going to see Professor Morgan he would do more than just complain, though. When she got ot the door she knocked, and then turned to Jake.
"Please don't run away this time. I do have a good reason to take you here, you know."

Felixir 03-02-2009 03:59 AM

"Fine!" Jake pouted, following Allie down through the caste and out towards what he soon realised was Professor Morgan's hut. A quick glare to Allie told her that he was NOT happy with her, not one iota.

"Perhaps you shoulda read the note on the door," he grumbled, sitting down on the ground so he could have some last moments of comfort before he ended up all eated.

As far as Iliana was concerned, one of the most uncomfortable situations in life was watching people work while you did nothing. It left you feeling neither smug and superior but rather lazy and completely useless. Professor Kazimeriz would owe her big after this. Though it was a debt she would unlikely collect. Iliana ignored the girls' exchange and hurried over to the door. "Right this way girls." She instructed, leading the way outside. "The Nogtail pens are just behind the hut. Leave your wands with me. Everything you need has been provided. You'll find gloves, a shovel and some basic cleaning supplies already there, as well as fresh water. If you need anything else, let me know. Just mind the muddy footprints."

She sat down on the stairs and took a book out of her bag and began to read hoping that she wouldn't be here for too long.

Upon seeing the students that had gathered around her door, Professor Morgan smiled and beckoned them all in, removing the note she had hung outside. "Come in, Come in. It’s freezing out here." She said, pleased with their obvious resignation. "Thanks for waiting. I hope you weren’t out here in the cold long. Go gather around the fire and get warm."

Jake, who had distracted himself with the snow, looked up as the door of the hut swung open. He looked back the way he'd come from, feet automatically pushing him up. Pondering a moment, Jake realised he could probably take Allie by surprise and run, but he just wasn't up to it... and he knew already that a chase around the grounds with a bad shoulder was just... well... not good. Still, he had to direct his feet towards the hut, as they had already appeared to decide he was going back to the castle.

Keeping his lips firmly zipped, Jake slipped in through the door and took a seat, not all that near to the fire. Fiddling absentmindedly with the thread on his shirt, Jake wondered if Professor Morgan would scream at him for waiting so long to return, and having to be brought back. Remembering how she'd reacted to Jake saying how he hated Allie, Jake turned his gaze away from the imposing females in the room and stared into the fire.

Freya walked up to the hut, just as several other students entered. She herself was not there to be invited inside, so Freya knocked a couple of times on the door frame, there was an enormous smile on her face for once; much different than her usual poker face that she had slapped on whenever she wasn't in a delighted mood. "Professor, may I have a quick word please? It shouldn't take but a few moments." Freya didn't mind waiting outside, this was the sort of climate she was accustomed to and fully enjoyed.

Iliana watched in silence as Jake made his way to the fire. It certainly seemed that something was still plaguing the boy and yet he did not look as though he was here of his own accord. Something she had done perhaps? She wondered, lying her hand on his shoulder gently. "Warm enough, Jake?" She asked, waiting for everyone to get settled. Just then, the tiniest flutter lifted her hair and a grin spread across her face. "Vincent, you're awake!" She exclaimed.

Humming quietly to Vincent, Iliana moved her wand over a small jar on her desk. Raising an eyebrow as she heard another knock at her door, Iliana gave Vincent the treat she had summoned and gave her wand a quick wave towards the door. "How do you do, Miss Skyler. Please come in." Iliana said.

Jake nearly jumped about a foot in the air when he felt the hand on his shoulder, but he managed to keep from crying out. Casting a furtive glance towards Allie, wondering if she would squeal about how he ended up getting his shoulder fixed up, Jake nodded his head slightly at the question.

"Mhmm," he looked up into the Professor's eyes for a second before freaking himself out and averting his gaze, this time staring at the evil snidget minion, whose movements distracted Jake.

This is a ploy... they're gonna hurt me... especially after I didn't help Set... Shut up, Jake! Don't even think about it.

Freya walked inside the hut, 'It's so warm in here.' She thought to herself and lowered her hood, revealing her pale face. "I'm doing very well, Ma'am, and yourself?" It was always polite to ask.
Freya's eyes glanced over to the fireplace; there was the boy she had tried to help in the library after the death of a Hufflepuff student. 'Hope he's doing better, thought he might have had a breakdown after all that mess.' Freya then turned to her Professor again. "I just thought I should let you know that my father is just fine with the idea of another animal. So long as I can continue to care for, Noor, which won't be a problem I assure you."

Luckily for Professor Morgan, she was feeling much better now that she was surrounded by her students. Her head was starting to clear and her frustrations over Agie's punishment were beginning to temporarily subside. They'd invade her mind again soon enough but for now a steady smile was on her face. "Thank you Miss Winters, I have to agree. It suits me here." She said, glancing around the room. "And thank you for being so patient. I realize that you were out there for quite a long time." She said. "Can I offer you a cup of tea?"

"Oh really it was no problem, a little bit of fresh air does wonders to clear the cob webs." Although being inside was far nicer indeed and she held out her hands in front of the fire. "Oh a cup of tea would be lovely, thank you" Kayla replied looking around the room again. It had such a homey feel to it and she couldn't believe it had taken her so long to come down here. She felt as though she could stay here forever. "Would you like some help?" Kayla asked politely.

Ooh, the full name... well, not the full name, THAT would mean trouble... Wait a sec... oooooh, you did NOT just go there... mmmmhmmm...

Jake gazed at his shoes like they were the most interesting things in the world at that moment, fully aware that he did not like being spoke to like this one bit. It made him feel like he was five years old again.

"I could tell you that," he whispered, staying barely audible. "But I don't lie..." Jake bit his lip, glaring at the ground like it had once done him a great wrong. "Allie was going to... erm..." Jake trailed off, not wanting to go into detail about the chase. "I just got... I didn't want to go!" he ended indignantly.

Jake looked back up when Professor Morgan threatened to take him there. "No," he said stubbornly. "I fixed it myself, I don't need to go..."

Oops...

Jake whipped his head round as Allie brought up the other conversation.

"Wouldn't have returned if it was down to me," he muttered to himself, thinking about Allie's controlling behaviour. As if I haven't got enough on my mind right now.

Jake fell silent as his gaze roved up to see a familiar Slytherin girl. He gasped, remembering where he had seen her, and quickly turned right around to stare intently at the fire.

I'm not sure if I will be very good at it, but if you mean just by having me bring the topic up I will surely be able to do that." Freya grabbed the front of her bag, which now had the straps over her right shoulder instead of across her chest and waist.

"Im great Professor." she said."No we didn't..I had to take Jake to the hospital wing..."
She watched silently as Professor Morgan asked about Jakes arm, then decided to say something. "Ummmm we never actually made it to the Hospital Wing, it involved a chase around the school...and then he got away...I was planning to take him after we were done here."
Well that sounded absolutley crazy. She even felt a little guilty about not getting Jake to the hospital wing the day it happened. But hopefully she could get him there after this.
"Soooo I decided to bring him here first. You know, to talk about that whole rumor thing? See him and Cam..who isn't here right now, but I'll bring him here when I can track him down if you like..were saying something about spreading this rumor around the school about Dominic Denton being in love with you. And I was trying to tell them that it was wrong to spread rumors and all that. But they weren't listening, so I decided to take them here, and now were back, and well...yeah."

"Oh a cup of tea would be lovely, thank you" Kayla replied looking around the room again. It had such a homey feel to it and she couldn't believe it had taken her so long to come down here. She felt as though she could stay here forever. "Would you like some help?" Kayla asked politely.

Iliana turned away from the pretty prefect quickly and made her way over to the small table near her desk. "No need dear, the tea is made." She said, taking a few long, deep breaths in an effort to calm herself. The day had been overwhelming. She picked up the tray from off the table and stopped dead when she caught her reflection in the mirror. She looked dreadful. Get it together! She thought to herself.

After making sure that a fresh smile was in place, Iliana turned back towards the group gathered in front of the fire and brought the tea over. "Please help yourself."

Iliana reached forward and picked up a small sugar cookie (Jake's favorite if memory served) and began to break off teeny tiny pieces for Vincent. She pushed the plate closer to Jake and let out an exasperated sigh. "So not only did you disobey my order but you tried taking matters into your own hands. Can you guess why I’m not smiling right now?" She asked. "Look as much as you'd like to stay here in pain…" She shook her head in disbelief. "We WILL be going to the Hospital Wing today. Together. Your well being, no matter how unimportant to you, is my number one concern, Mr. Upstead. And I will expect you to be on your best behavior when we go."

I'm not sure if I will be very good at it, but if you mean just by having me bring the topic up I will surely be able to do that." Freya grabbed the front of her bag, which now had the straps over her right shoulder instead of across her chest and waist.

She looked Freya in the eyes and saw a shyness there that reminded her of herself, not so long ago. She could still remember... speaking in front of her unbelievably full Charms class and feeling nauseous. Haha! Whoever heard of a scaredy cat Gryffindor. She smiled at the memory and patted Freya's shoulder reassuringly. "Freya, I would never force you to do anything that makes you uncomfortable. But…that being said, I think you'd do a splendid job. And I would be there with you in case you forget what to say. Why don't we just play it by ear and see how you feel on the day of the lesson?"

Iliana gave Allie a disappointed look. "I would have hoped that I could have depended on you for this Allie. After all, you're older and more responsible than the boys." She looked over at Jake and shook her head at his resolve. "Though the more I think about it, there’s really no way that you could have forced him. Its fine dear, I will take him there myself as soon as we're finished here." She said, daring Jake to run with the look in her eyes.

Just as Iliana took a sip of her tea, she choked and nearly spit it out. "Excuse me, WHAT?!" She asked, placing her cup on the table. "Why on earth would Cameron think that?!"

Pointedly ignoring the plate, resisting the lure of sugar for the first time in quite a while, Jake stared at the professor. Urgh, disobey... he hated that word... like really hated. Working hard not to glare, Jake clenched his fist, gripping onto the chair he was sitting in. "No, I can't guess why..." Maybe because you're a mood-swinging woman? How should I know?! Jake answered her question about the smiling fandango... though managed to keep most of what he wanted to say inside his cramped lickle mind.

Upon hearing her next words, Jake leapt up. "No way! That ain't even fair!" he exclaimed, staring at the professor, disbelieving. "I don't want to go there... though if you don't want me here, then fine, I'll leave..." Tell Cameron... Jake's mind was still reeling after that 'on your best behaviour' comment. He was always on his best behaviour... he only had one kind of behaviour. The Jakers Way.

This time not disguising his gaze, Jake glared at Allie, about to demand why she had to tell. He stopped himself, though, and looked between the two females, catching Professor Morgan's look and reconsidering his plan... for a moment. "It doesn't even hurt... just... if I move it... or touch it..." Jake grumbled.

Uh oh... they'd gotten onto the main point. And Professor Morgan was making noises with her tea... oh, she was choking. Now that the mystery of the noises was solved, Jake considered his options. Slink down and pretend he wasn't there... or run for his life.

One foot started on the epic, life-changing, journey to the door...
