"Well, we finished three saddles between the three of us. There are more there to do." Celandine explained, looking out the window and wondering what Jillian was still doing out there. But then the Gryffindor had the coolest frog ever for company and Cela herself would be happy enough having a few moments with the tree frog.

Freya walked up to Professor Morgan's hut, it seemed like there were a few other students around. Nevertheless, Freya knocked on the doorway and waited patiently. She only had a small question, hopefully the answer would go in her favor.

"Calm down guys!" she said, as her arms were starting to hurt from holding them back, and Jakes clawing at her hand was started to cause her real pain.
"Your not going to get in any trouble I promise. And if you do, I will take the blame for it ok?"
Awwww now Cam was starting to cry. He looked so adorkable she could just let go of them now and let them run off. But she couldn't, this was important. If they started that rumor, then who knows what Dom would do to them? She HAD to protect her little firstie buddies. She wouldnt let Dom eat them. SO she just looked away, and started at Professor Morgans pretty door, waiting for her to answer it.

"Let me go..." he whined, using any protrusion on the ground to push him forwards, as if he was rock-climbing. Wow... did Allie have superglue on her hands? Jake's arms started to stretch as he pulled on something sturdy to get away, and then the popping sound from his shoulder, the one attached to the arm atteched to the wrist that Allie held.

"Owwww..." he moaned, still stretched. Jake sniffed a little. Just a cold. Curse him never getting out much, or drinking milk. Stupid bones and joints; he couldn't remember what was supposed to be the beneficial thing, but it didn't matter. He was in PAIN. He didn't think it was dislocated... maybe, but it hurt like the Dickens as he carried on trying to run, blinking tears back as his breath hitched slightly.

"You..." breeeeeathe... "... are meeeean and cruel!" he yelled back, ignoring his uneven voice.

Oh no, the fake tears weren't working at all. This was horrible and he knew that he would still get in trouble a bit even if she did try to protect them. Now she was looking away and was trying to ignore them! That probably meant his tears were working and she just looked away so she wouldn't feel sorry. It made Cam feel good but her hand was still on him and the nails were practically digging into his shoulder. The pain and gulping gargoyles, she probably injured Jake already!

Was she? GOOD IDEA JAKE! Cam copied him and made groaning sounds too, or trying to. "Allie, I barf when I get hurt."

That should scare her, girls didn't like boys barfing on them. He wasn't so sure but oh well.

Why did they have to move around so much? It was getting harder and harder to hold them. "Guys stop moving around so much! You going to hurt youselves!" Just as she had said that she heard a popping sound coming from Jake.
Allies eyes widened. Oh no.
She looked over to see Jake in a lot of pain. She started kicking the door more loudly. Why wasn't she answering?
"Jake? What happened? Are you okay?" She knew they were pointless questions but she needed to say something.
Oh great, she looked over at Cam, now he was going to barf?
"Oh no your not!" she said, loosening her grip slightly, but still not enough for him to escape. "Professor Morgan will fix your shoulder, Jake, and.....Cam stop squirming, your gonna get hurt for real too!"
She had no idea why they were so afraid, they were just going to talk...its not like she had taken them to Dom or anything...that would have been dangerous.

But enough about that, she would write to Astrid later, right now she had to teach these two firsties a lesson. And they wouldn't listen to her so she had to take them Professor Morgan. They practically forced her too. And its not like they would get detention or lose points or anything horrible like that she hoped but probably just a lecture.
"Here we are!" she said, knocking on the door with her foot. She didn't want to risk letting go of either of them in case they ran away.

"Yes? Come in." She called out, hearing someone at the door.

Mads watched as the little bird flew to its perch with just one simple whistle from the Professor. "You can call me Maddox by the way." He smiled, wondering if she would or not, though he doubted it.

He thought for a moment and replied, "Well I just went up to the Owelry for the first time today. I needed to send a letter to me mum. So I would say today." He shrugged. He felt bad that he hadn’t come and check on her before though. He needed to do that more often.

"Very well, Maddox." She said absentmindedly, giving all of her attention to the owl. She reached in slowly and held her hand very still, allowing Asmara to climb onto her fingers. Then she pulled her out through the cage door and began her examination. She gently felt along her wing and raised an eyebrow as she was sure she had just found the cause of her pain. Carefully, she lifted her wing and pulled out a thin twig that had somehow lodged it way underneath. She held it up for Maddox to see and smiled at him. "She should feel better now." She said, handing the owl a treat. "Though, you might let her rest for a couple of days before you send her out again. Just use one of the school owls. And if you don’t mind, bring her back to me at the end of the week so that I can make sure that she’s all better." She said, returning Asmara to her cage at last.

WHAT. THE. HECK. Allie didn't even seem to do anything and only said that the professor would fix up Jake's arm like nothing. Then he stopped everything that he was doing and wide-eyed the door.

It was the door leading to the professor he was going to save, but ruined by the girl who was with him now. Deep in his cluttered and insane mind, he heard the shark-attack sound. And screams and then that Dominic laughing, and Professor Morgan pointing her wand at him, and the Slytherin Prefects lecturing him for eternity. Not only that but seeing the Headmaster forcing him to be a test experiment for the class, the Charms professor eating him alive, the DADA teacher making him lose a bajillion points from his house, and his Head of House quitting Hogwarts because of him making a bad reputation for Slytherin.

The HORROR!

Cam started to bite his tongue from really crying, and covering his face. Not even a breath came out of him, and he was sure that he skipped about five heartbeats.

Felixir 02-11-2009 12:49 AM

Allie dragged him in by has bad arm, which made Jake scream out from the pain he was in by this point.

"I... not... rumours... ouch... off... me!!!!!" he muttered through gritted teeth. Through squeezed up eyes Jake saw the Professor and panicked again.

"She... no... magic... me!" Nuh-uh, Jake wasn't letting her get near him with one o' them lethal wands. Grrrrr!!!!! This is all Camerons fault! Stupid Cameron.

Jake ran for the door, but Allie still had his arm. He tugged and tugged and tried to use the door to pull himself away from her, even resorting to going back and prising her fingers (which wasn't much help).

"I'm... telling... Dominic!!!!! You... broke... me... he... toldya... notta..." Jake breathed, remembering the feast when she'd dug him in the ribs. Wow, Jake sniffled a little, remembering how everything and everyone seemed to want to hurt him.

Especially lamposts.

Cameron seemed to have stopped flailing about, but Jake was doing the opposite, nearly biting through his lip at the pain. The Morganator and her Evil Snidget Minion were sure to eat him over this... Well... at least he wasn't knocking things over.

Shudder. Memories.

Celandine Toussaint was such a strange little girl.

"I do wonder about the effects of high altitude as well," on brains, interjected Daphne surreptitiously. "Oh! Oh!" cooed, the girl trying her best not to clap her hands together in childish glee. 10 points! Not that it was much but it was something. Daphne made a mental note to thank Celandine later. Turning to her friend, the blond nodded over her shoulder at the door. "I guess we best be going now," chirped Hopton. "Homework to do...and such."

Or not. There were also a batch of almond cookies in her dormitory with her name on them.

They were finally here. Lyra zoomed in and brought them down to safety. "Here we are, Agie," she whispered as she propped her broom against the hut. Agie sighed loudly. She didn't want to get off the broom. Her hands went back up to cover her snout as she shrugged. "I don't care." She said, just wanting to lock herself in her dorm and hide under the covers.

LadyNerd 02-13-2009 04:53 AM

When she didn't knock, Lyra took it upon herself to knock for her. She tapped the door three times with her knuckles and sighed. This was just....horribly wrong. Professors were NOT supposed to do this to any student no matter who they were.

I’d like to discuss it as a class during my next lesson. While many of these creatures would do much better off in their natural habitat, almost all of them were orphaned or alone before arriving here. What we have here is much more than a nursery. Its more like an animal refuge." She explained. "I knew there was a strong possibility that you’d all become attached. It would be difficult not to..." She said, stealing a glance at her little Vincent sleeping in his cage. "I think as long as you show great care and responsibility with your creature, there might be a chance of adoption at the end of the term. Would your parents be willing?" She asked. That was going to be the determining factor in most instances. Some parents will be none too happy with the idea of a rowdy Jarvey joining their family.

She was finding it hard to believe that two of her most polite students would be doing anything as viscous as rumor-spreading. These two who had welcomed her so sweetly on her first day. She looked back and forth between their scared faces and then focused her attention on Allie. "Go ahead, dear." She said stepping over to Jake and ever so gently lifting his arm to see what damage had been done.

"Well, thanks again." She said. "Come back and see me any time!"

"We should." Celandine agreed, taking the idea of doing homework quite seriously, "You need to work on Alohomora, I'll help!" Cela said to Daphne cheerfully.

"See you later Professor Morgan!" Celandine waved at her then expanded her wave to include Allie, making a mental note to catch her at some point. And what was Jillian doing? Still playing with the tree frog probably.

Cela still couldn't blame her.

"I’m so pleased that you think so. Abraxans were my favorite magical creature until I met Vincent." She said. "I guess that makes them my second favorite now, huh?” She whispered, giving the pretty Ravenclaw a playful wink. "Bye girls. See you soon." She said, returning the wave.

He wanted to shake her hand, but didn’t know if he should, he might not be able to contain himself if he did. She was gorgeous. "Thank you again Professor Morgan."

"It was my pleasure, Maddox." She said. "I’m glad you brought her to me. It shows how much she means to you." She said. Then, waving at Asmara, she added. "Bye girl. Feel better."

Hearing another knock at the door, Iliana glanced over in that direction. "Come in, its open." she called out, handing Cameron a newly opened tin of cookies. "Help yourself guys while I see who's here."

SPOILER!!: Imps

Special Abilities. Generally, Imps don't have any special abilities. However, they're excellently adapted to their territory and can be equipped with some spell power by the mage who created them. Also, they're always resistant to extreme temperatures and certain circumstances of their territory, but they can't survive long in any other environment. For Example: Fire Imps are fire resistant and can endure beimg burnt, however, they almost die when they're exposed to water.

Territory. Imps are bound to the territory of their master. As long as they're there, Imps can draw strength from their creator, but if they're forced to leave it, they can only survive by staying close to their master and feed from his mana. As a result of this, Imps can never be used as attackers, only for defending purposes.

Habitat/Behaviour. Imps are smart, helpful and mean creatures. They are smart as a quality of their being, they are helpful concerning their master and mean against all other creatures/people who are not their master. Put together these three properties can be fatal for objects or even persons within their reach if Imps are left alone. It has been reported that Imps love to hunt down people and to torture them, but they are real cowards when they think they're going to lose. An Imp will always calculate his chances and will always choose the most profitable way. Because of this treacherous nature, it lies in the responsibilty of the mage to keep a firm grip on them. Imps are not affected by any "nice" approach. If you e.g. try to get past an Imp by offering him something, he'll grant you access and may backstab you when you've passed.

This is why they're always badly treated: a badly treated Imp will always make the calculation: "If I fight against enemies, they'll hurt me. But if I don't, master will hurt me more." This calculation does however only work if the master is near, because when he isn't, an Imp thinks his enemies more dangerous and stops fighting. When there are no other creatures around at all, Imps love to tease other Imps or to create any other form of chaos.

Diet. Imps can be fed by mana only, but they prefer real, fresh meat. They have an appetite for little birds and small animals and they seem to think that everything helpless and scared tastes even better (strange, but true). Some forest Imps can also be seen eating fruits and vegetables, but they usually distaste them and won't eat them when it isn't necessary. If an Imp hasn't caught anything, it will just steal it from somebody else or start throwing another Imps food around

Ruby then continued and said "i have also found out that Imps are a XX ministry classifacation"

Jake breathed deeply, his breath coming in gasps. Cameron was evil for getting him into this mess. Allie was evil for making him all broken. His whole arm was evil for being able to feel pain. Professor Morgan was evil because... well, some people just didn't need a reason.

"Nuh-nuhnuh-Noooo..." Jake moaned, the tears rolling down his face as he sat. Everything was sort of in a haze of confusion, and the next minute, someone had hold of his arm. At the first shock of the touch, Jake yelped, but he was then being treated with surprising gentleness. "Wha-whaaaat?" he whispered, surprised.

Ohhhh, so she was going to PRETEND she was nice before she set her Snidget minions on them.

Jake directed his words to the Professor. "It wuh-wuh-wuhsn't m-meeee..." he cried. "I didididididn't do anyfink... He's... friend..." Jake choked out before looking over at Cameron.

"This is... your... fault..." he gasped before looking to Allie and uttering the H word he never thought he'd hear himself say to a person. "I huh-huh-hate, you..."

First the rib-jabbing, then the man-handling, then the damage to his limbs, and finally the lying.

Pfft... was there anyone that wasn't trying to hurt Jake in some way?

"OUCH!" Jake cried out, as the Morganator raised his arm.

Not even safe in the company of staff.

Freya beamed at her professor. "Aww, well, it's wonderful that the orphans have somewhere to call their home...and to be safe. I think it's a great way to get other students involved too, that way they can really experience a connection with an animal, not just in text books." She smiled a little bit, "Of course, once you name an animal it usually winds up being a pet or family member. It's hard not to become attached to them, any of them really." Freya nodded slightly, "I think I am doing a grand job. I've worked with animals all my life, so taking care of a baby knarl was like being back home...sort of. Although I wasn't very used to the spines at first...they were intersting to work around." Freya glanced over to the animal in the room, then stared at the woman for a moment, "My parents? Oh, my father will be fine with it, I have enough animals as it is, so he'd likely not mind at all...he may not even notice. And he knows I'm responsible." 'That and I may be moving out after graduation anyway...'

Cam nodded and agreed with Jake when he told Allie that it was all her fault, it was hers indeed! His urge to cry disappeared since all of his anger now came to this... meaaaan girl! Ruined their fun, their saving, everything! So he glared at her for a few seconds before looking back at Professor Morgan. Only one thing came upon his thoughts right now; the consequences. Right now he guessed that they would be tortured by magical creatures for the rest of their lives, or making them clean her hut everyday! Like one of those... house-elves or so they call it. But his eyes were twirling and twirling, and a smile went on his face when he stared at the cookies.

It was like nothing happened, he gladly took 5 cookies and stuffed 2 in his mouth at once. Delicious. "So how's Vincent, Professah Morgan?"

He forgot about what the REAL situation was. Cookies could hypnotize anyone, even him!

And then his mouth opened when his best friend said... the H word in front of him. No way was he going to do anything now, deciding to ignore his best friend. Or was he even a friend after saying the H word?!

Ignoring his scream too, his mind seemed to only think about one thing; the consequences. He stared at the girl who was telling on them, she was a snitch, a tattle-taler, a meanie! And there was Jake, the crying boy... who used the H word on a friend! Yes, he was taking this situation veeeery seriously.

Maybe he could still stop from Allie telling on him! "So how's Vincent, Professah Morgan?" he asked, trying to change the subject.

She flinched when she heard his angry, hurtful words and gave him a sad frown. "Jakers that's a horrible thing to say! This girl cares about you. You tell her you're sorry for ever letting those words leave your mouth." She said. When he cried out in pain at her touch she quickly, though very gently dropped his hand. "Oh honey, if you're in this much pain, I have to send you to Hospital Wing." She said, turning her attention to Allie.

Under normal circumstances Iliana might have broken a smile at the thought of one of her students being 'in love' with her. But this was not normal circumstances and Jake's poor broken body had taken over her thoughts. "Take him right away dear. We can finish this discussion at another time." She said. "And please reassure him that he is NOT in any trouble. It might help him calm down."

"Vincent is fine, Cameron. Thank you for asking." She said, almost laughing at the sight of his mouth filled with cookies. "You're welcomed to stay here with me and look in on Vincent if you'd like. He's sleeping now but I'm sure that he won't mind being woken up to play with you." She said. "We can discuss rumors." She said with a smirk.

Cam frowned at the Jake who was clearly trying to get out of trouble. The groans, the crying, they were all fake! While thinking in his mind he wished that he took acting lessons when he was younger since he could also get out of this mess if he knew how to really fake cry and really fake pain. But he tried to hide the smile when the professah told them that he might have needed to go to the Hospital Wing. Hehe, it's too bad the nurse won't find any REAL injuries on him. BAD MISTAKE, JAKE! Jake, the really good actor, Jake the person trying to impersonate his own injury, Jake the COWARD!

Was heeee making any sounds? No. Not at all. He didn't know why the professor started laughing, at him! Maybe she was laughing because of the EVIL consequences he was going to get. Yeah, that was it. He could have seen it through her ACTING eyes too!

Her always acting nice, he kneeew that a person couldn't be always positive. Cam was sure that she might possibly curse at him and then hex him until he said his apologies. Or maybe even forcing him to finish her cookie jar in less than a second. 1... TOO BAD KARSTEN, 5000 POINTS FROM SLYTHERIN. LEARN TO EAT FASTER, IS THAT A SMILE I SEE FROM YOU?! 1,000,000 POINTS FROM SLYTHERIN. NOW OUT, OUT FROM MY HUT, FOREVER! That was what he was thinking in his mind, that was what he thought she would do.

Again, THE HORROR.

"Um... OK. Soooo..." he stuttered while speaking and then had an eye twitch again. It was because of fear of the CoMC professor, the one that would become his possible worst enemy?! Cam didn't know what to say or what to do. One more word could ruin his life for eternity.

Gulp.

This lady was... being... nice? "Wha-wha-what?" he asked again, slightly bemused. "Why are you being so... nice?" he asked, through great heaving breaths. He didn't understand. "What...?"

"Ack!" he suddenly cried out, as if Professor Morgan had yanked his arm, or screamed at him, but she hadn't. She'd just... reverted to evilness in her sneaky ways. "I can't..." Jake moaned. "If I said it then I must have meant it... and I can't apologise because that's lying... I can't lie... You have to understand that..." It was one of the few things that could turn Jake absolutely crazy (yesssss, the few. He's just normal crazy at other stuff). Jake's head was confused, but he didn't know why he'd let that slip out... He couldn't exactly apologise for letting it slip out, either, because it wasn't his fault. Wait... "Did you just call me...?" Jake suddenly asked but remembered something.

"She don't care... How can she? She hurt me! She HURT me!" Jake cried out. He knew what it was, it was sabotage. Jake nearly burst into tears at Professor Morgan's words to him and then Allie.

"No! I can't go there..." that was one place visited too many a time by Jack Mosier... Jake simply couldn't risk it. "Pleeeeease... I'll block it out, I will... Pleeeease, Professor Morgan! Kaika will KILL me if I leave it..."

Jake looked over at his bestest ever friend he'd ever had. Ever. "I wanna stay, with Cameron..." he whispered. "I'll be safe."

Cameron was bigger, stronger and slower lethal with a wand... he could poke with that thing like there was no tomorrow. Jake felt safe with him, and he wanted to stay here. "Pleeeeease..."

Hearing another knock at the door, Iliana looked back at Lyra and raised her eye brow. Her expression reading, See what I mean. Then she called out. "Come in!"
Twilight slowly came in looking dejected into the office. She didn't even look hr Professor in the face. She was really worried about her little Dusk.

"Um mm. Professor, my little Knarl Dusk didn't act like he normally does. He was up waiting for me like he usually does. But he didn't waddle onto my hand, and he went right into my schoolbag, and i carefully fished him out as i didn't want him hurt. He then didn't really play his usual long game with my pocket and wanted to sleep right after two short try's, and then he didn't want to eat his favorite smooshed mealyworms. He looks the same but doesn't weigh more and his water and everything was full."

He started to get tears in her eyes as she finally looked up at her professor. She was pressing her hands together tightly, waiting for the vertic.

Freya nodded again, "Yes, Ma'am, I will be sure to do that." She replied politely and made to leave the hut. "Thank you for your time, I hope you have a nice day." Freya left the hut shortly thereafter, not having much else to say, and wanting to enjoy the cool weather outside.

Jack was wandering around the grounds when he came across a hut, he knocked on the door, curious to see who it belonged to and what it was like inside.

Lyra didn't move so that Agie could keep hiding behind her. She smiled slightly as she spoke about Mr. Shifty but it wasn't enough to last. "Professor please," she begged, never doing this before in her life. "Maybe if we could just speak somewhere other than here. She has a note from that...that..." She paused as she didn't want to say anymore than she needed too.

"She has a note to see you from Professor Kazimeriz." Crazy old man who needed to check his attitude away from the students. "I'm afraid this is a very sensitive subject and does NOT need to involve the ears of others."

"Well I am glad to hear that. You are doing a fantastic job taking care of her. She seems to be really thriving." She said. "Umm, Can we speak about this again soon?" She asked as sweetly as she could, trying to clear out the hut without rushing anyone. "There's something that I need to take care of." She explained. Even after all of his pleading to stay, this was one decision that she intended to keep. If privacy was required, she would just have to take care of that. "Hold on just one moment for me." She said, quietly rushing over to her desk and scribbling a quick note. After laying down her quill, she walked back over to the girls and attached the note to the door. "Come inside. We'll be alone soon."

Iliana took the note from Lyra and walked over to latch the lock on her door. Better to be safe than sorry, she thought, making sure that they wouldn't be disturbed until this situation was all sorted out. She walked over, took a seat at her desk and started to read, her eyes growing wider all the while. When she had finished, she laid the note upon her desk and folded her hands in her lap. "Agie, would you like to tell me what this is all about?" She asked, thinking of the disgusting Nogtail pen and wondering how horrible her behavior must have been to be given such a punishment.

Mell 02-16-2009 01:17 AM

Kayla walked down to Professor Morgan's hut and shivered slightly from the cold, she wrapped her scarf tighter around her neck and dug her hands deeper into her pockets. Winter was coming and she hated winter, why couldn't it be summer all year long? When she finished school, she was going to live some place where it was hot all year.

Snapping herself out of her thoughts, Kayla realised she had already arrived at the Professor's hut and couldn't remember the walk down here. Ugh...now she was losing her mind as well as being cold. She raised her hand to knock on the door when she heard many voices coming from inside. Merlin's beard, could you not get a Professor on their own for like five minutes? She was not about to waste a walk in the cold to merely head back to the castle and so she gave the door a gentle knock.

SweetAussie 02-16-2009 01:20 AM

Agie felt better that everyone was gone and the door was closed. She stepped out from behind Lyra, showing professor Morgan her snout and pig tail. With a sigh she started to explain, "Professor Kazimeriz, overheard Lyra and myself calling him an old man in the corridors. And we said we had gained many years just waiting for him to talk. Well, you see, his hearing aids. I mean his ears were working, so he heard us and took off 25 house points for me and 15 from Lyra. After having some time to think out our actions, we both agreed that we were rude and in the wrong." She paused, looking over at Lyra. She was telling the truth, there was no need to lie.

"We decided to visit Professor Kazimeriz office and apologise. Lyra apologised and got out, but when I did." She stopped, feeling her eyes get even more watery. She was so not the type to cry. But she just looked so ugly. "He said words meant nnn nothing, and turned me into a a a frr frrreeak."

LadyNerd 02-16-2009 01:28 AM

Lyra was ready to cry when she heard Agie speak. She lifted her hand to rub her back in a soothing way. "We just went to apologize for our actions because we knew we were wrong but I don't care who you are, no professor should EVER do this to a student. Isn't that what detention is for?" She was beyond mad and wanted someone to get that old man and his shuffling shoes.

Professor Morgan heard the knock at her door and hoped that the note she'd left upon it would work. As much as she hated to leave someone waiting, she had to deal with the matter at hand first.

Iliana took great care in keeping her facial expression from changing when she saw the newest addition to Agie's pretty face. One thing was for sure, the Professor knew how to get his point across. She listened to her as she explained what had happened and tried to grasp some understanding as to what had happened. Obviously the man had been offended. Maybe he was very sensitive about his age. It couldn't be easy being the oldest member on the staff. Especially when you were being ridiculed around every corner. Granted, she was sure that in her current state, Agie would fail to see it that way. Though maybe that was the point he was trying to make.

"Agie you're not a freak. I still see a pretty girl before me. In fact, I'm sure that when this punishment is served, he will return your face to its previous state." She said, trying (though more than likely failing) to comfort her.

"Lyra, I know how you feel. Your loyalty for Agie is quite evident and I am sure that you're a great comfort to her. But it is not for me to question the teaching practices or punishments given by another Professor. And as much as I would like to help Agie, I think the best thing that I can do for her now is to show her the way to the nogtail pen so that she can get this over and done with as soon as possible."

LadyNerd 02-16-2009 01:50 AM

NO! This was not the way it was supposed to happen! Lyra's eyes widened as Professor Morgan agreed to do as the letter stated. "B-But..but...Professor?" She couldn't believe that she was actually going to make Agie clean out the pens. "This is so not fair!"

Mell 02-16-2009 01:53 AM

Lol Mel and Kayla need to open their eyes...sorry.

Just as she finished knocking, Kayla noticed the note on the door. Meh...she was obviously going blind as well as she took a step back from the door. Kayla looked back to the castle and then at the door in front of her, she had a little time to kill she supposed she could wait for a little while...even though it was cold. She sat down on the stairs and took a book out of her bag and began to read hoping that she wouldn't be here for too long.

SweetAussie 02-16-2009 01:54 AM

Agie's eyes widened and silent tears started to roll down her face. She actually had to stay like THIS for a week and professor Morgan wasn't going to even try to help. Agie couldn't believe it. That old man was never going to turn her back and she DID look like a freak. She couldn't even find it within her to argue back, but was thankful to have Lyra do so. This was not fair. What was it teaching students? If you apologise for being wrong, you get turned into a pig?

Ili glanced back and forth between the two girls. One in tears, the other infuriated. Her heart went out to them and she wished that she could tell them how badly she really felt. Though... she was determined not to interfere. Better to just try and explain. "Girls please understand. My hands are tied here. There's no telling what might happen to Agie if I attempt a counter curse. Have you considered that at all? Fair or not, as far as Professor Kazimeriz is concerned, You've made your bed and now its time to lie in it."

LadyNerd 02-16-2009 04:15 AM

Lie in it? They simply went to apologize and show that they were grown up enough to take responsibility for their actions and this is what Agie got? “So it is okay for other professors to deface another student for their own enjoyment,” Lyra asked in a huff. “I understand that you consider yourself to be in the middle, Professor Morgan, just like a counter curse could hurt Agie even more. But what that monstrous, vile excuse for a professor did to her was uncalled for. I mean, what did they construct detention for? And what does that teach students who want to apologize for their actions?”

She crossed her arms to her chest as this was going no where and fast. “I’m sorry but what that poor excuse for a professor just taught me in life is that I will NEVER apologize for my actions again. If someone doesn’t like it, then that is just tough luck for them.” Tears began to stream down her face as she was beyond the realms of angry at this point. There was nothing that she could do for her best friend except watch her cry in humiliation.

Maddox went a little pink when she said his name again. It was the only time he had ever heard his name sound so uniquely beautiful coming out of someone elses mouth. He smiled nervously and replied, "She's means a lot to me. Asmara means love in the Indonesian language. The first time I saw her...it was true love. Therefore...Asmara." He grinned, hoping she would be impressed by that, and replied, "Thanks again Professor Morgan." He grabbed Asmara's cage and waved as he walked from the professor's hut. Completely smitten.

Professor Morgan listened intently to Twilight as she described Dusk's recent behavior. "You know, it sounds to me like the little dear is feeling under the weather. Tell you what....Why don't I go have a look at him and make sure that he's okay. And then I will report back to you my findings." She offered, giving her an empathetic look. "You are more than welcomed to join me if you'd like."
Twilight smiled through her tear and said,"Thank you professor I will go to the nursery and stay with Dusk until you come. Maybe if she is feeling bad my company will make her feel better, like it does with human babies."

She turned and left the hut heading over to the Nursery.

Lie in her bed. "What bed!" She said out loud. "All, I did was apologise and I end up like this. It's not fair. I thought you'd support us on this." Agie frowned. She liked Professor Morgan. But after now? Well she wasn't so sure. She didn't even seem concerned. All she wanted to do was show her where to start cleaning.

"You, you just don't.." Agie was going to say care, but then she saw Lyra crying. Agie realised how selfish she was being. Her being up set, had made her best friend upset and all she was trying to do was help her. Agie covered her face with her hands and sobbed. She hasn't been this upset for a long time. She was humiliated and her best friend was upset, but no one would do anything about it to help them. To help her. So all that was left to do was cry.

"Girls, girls!" She said, raising her hand in protest. "You find me heartless and uncaring but that is far from the truth. The point is, as unfortunate as it may be, I am powerless to stop this. Agie has a punishment set before her and there's nothing to be done about it other than to hold your head up high and let him know that you respect his decision, as well as mine, by doing your best to get through the task at hand." She said. Then she looked over at Lyra and said, "You are more than welcomed to stay with her if you’d like to help. But there's to be no magic, girls." Iliana reached over and pulled a few tissues from the box on her desk and handed them over with a sadden expression. She hated this. Hated being made the bad guy in order to support Kazimeriz. Though, she could hate it all she liked… there was nothing she could do now but hope they understood that trying to fight this would be futile.

Iliana stood up and returned her attention back to Agie. "Now, when you’re composed enough to venture outside, I will take you to the pens." Taking a step closer she added. "You can do this, hun. Remember, Gryffindors are intrepid. It takes a lot more than smelly nogtails to defeat us." She said encouragingly.

Allie nodded at the Professor. Even though Jake seemed really unwilling to go, she had to take him. It was only right...and she wasn't going to have it on her conscience how he couldn't play in his first quidditch match because of her.
"Come on, Jake." she said. "You NEED to goto the hospital wing! You can leave you arm all popped out like that."

Felixir 02-17-2009 05:41 PM

"No," Jake growled. They were outside the door, and she was succeeding in pulling him, until he gave an almighty wrench and ran for it, his speediness coming in handy. He headed for the Entrance Hall, so he could dive for his common room and to safety.

They weren't making him go. Nuh-uh. No siree bob.

BeccaBear 02-17-2009 05:47 PM

Allie had thought she could have just pulled him to the Hospital Wing...it had worked on getting him down there. Then after this she would seek help for this new manhandling problem, and it would be over with. But noo, jake had to pull away and start running as fast as he could. How did a boy so small run so fast?
"JAKKKKEEE youuuu neeed to go!" she yelled, running after him.

Lyra took a tissue and blew her nose, then dabbed her eyes dry. She really didn't want to stay and clean out pens but she didn't want Agie to do it by herself either. She sighed as she nodded her head yes and added, "I will help her, if that is okay with you Professor." Her voice was more calming now as there was nothing that Professor Morgan could do and there was no sense in taking her anger out on someone that was an innocent by standard.

SweetAussie 02-18-2009 10:19 AM

Agie refused the tissues and wiped her eyes and SNOUT on her sleeves instead. "Where is the slave labour. I mean pens? And Lyra wont be helping me." Agie said stubbornly, folding her arms. There was no way she was dragging her bestie to that smelly place. It was bad enough that she had to go there. And use no magic. Agie didn't have the energy to fight back any more. She had learnt a lot today. Something that should should have never learnt.

LadyNerd 02-19-2009 03:30 AM

Lyra's eyes shot towards Agie as she said she was not helping. She didn't mind helping at all and give or take, it might be bad but together they could have some fun. "Why not? I want to help. You have helped me in so many ways, Agie and I want to be here for you." And collect some dirt.

Jake bit hit lip and stared at the floor as Allie scolded him a little. "But I don't want to!" he whined, as Allie mentioned the hospital wing. He had an urge to stamp his foot, but that probably wouldn't do him ant favours at the moment. And yep, there it was. Allie had hold of Jake's hand and was pulling him away.

Jake, pouting and whining, let his feet go with the flow this time, though he didn't stop complaining. "No, Allie! It ain't fair!" Letting his face show his anger, Jake added. "Where are we even going?"

"You'll find out soon enough." said Allie, as sh etook him to the hut.
She was surprised he didn't drag his feet, or try to escape like last time. But then again, he didn't know where they were going either. She figured once he realized that they were going to see Professor Morgan he would do more than just complain, though. When she got ot the door she knocked, and then turned to Jake.
"Please don't run away this time. I do have a good reason to take you here, you know."

Felixir 03-02-2009 03:59 AM

"Fine!" Jake pouted, following Allie down through the caste and out towards what he soon realised was Professor Morgan's hut. A quick glare to Allie told her that he was NOT happy with her, not one iota.

"Perhaps you shoulda read the note on the door," he grumbled, sitting down on the ground so he could have some last moments of comfort before he ended up all eated.

As far as Iliana was concerned, one of the most uncomfortable situations in life was watching people work while you did nothing. It left you feeling neither smug and superior but rather lazy and completely useless. Professor Kazimeriz would owe her big after this. Though it was a debt she would unlikely collect. Iliana ignored the girls' exchange and hurried over to the door. "Right this way girls." She instructed, leading the way outside. "The Nogtail pens are just behind the hut. Leave your wands with me. Everything you need has been provided. You'll find gloves, a shovel and some basic cleaning supplies already there, as well as fresh water. If you need anything else, let me know. Just mind the muddy footprints."

She sat down on the stairs and took a book out of her bag and began to read hoping that she wouldn't be here for too long.

Upon seeing the students that had gathered around her door, Professor Morgan smiled and beckoned them all in, removing the note she had hung outside. "Come in, Come in. It’s freezing out here." She said, pleased with their obvious resignation. "Thanks for waiting. I hope you weren’t out here in the cold long. Go gather around the fire and get warm."

Jake, who had distracted himself with the snow, looked up as the door of the hut swung open. He looked back the way he'd come from, feet automatically pushing him up. Pondering a moment, Jake realised he could probably take Allie by surprise and run, but he just wasn't up to it... and he knew already that a chase around the grounds with a bad shoulder was just... well... not good. Still, he had to direct his feet towards the hut, as they had already appeared to decide he was going back to the castle.

Keeping his lips firmly zipped, Jake slipped in through the door and took a seat, not all that near to the fire. Fiddling absentmindedly with the thread on his shirt, Jake wondered if Professor Morgan would scream at him for waiting so long to return, and having to be brought back. Remembering how she'd reacted to Jake saying how he hated Allie, Jake turned his gaze away from the imposing females in the room and stared into the fire.

Freya walked up to the hut, just as several other students entered. She herself was not there to be invited inside, so Freya knocked a couple of times on the door frame, there was an enormous smile on her face for once; much different than her usual poker face that she had slapped on whenever she wasn't in a delighted mood. "Professor, may I have a quick word please? It shouldn't take but a few moments." Freya didn't mind waiting outside, this was the sort of climate she was accustomed to and fully enjoyed.

Iliana watched in silence as Jake made his way to the fire. It certainly seemed that something was still plaguing the boy and yet he did not look as though he was here of his own accord. Something she had done perhaps? She wondered, lying her hand on his shoulder gently. "Warm enough, Jake?" She asked, waiting for everyone to get settled. Just then, the tiniest flutter lifted her hair and a grin spread across her face. "Vincent, you're awake!" She exclaimed.

Humming quietly to Vincent, Iliana moved her wand over a small jar on her desk. Raising an eyebrow as she heard another knock at her door, Iliana gave Vincent the treat she had summoned and gave her wand a quick wave towards the door. "How do you do, Miss Skyler. Please come in." Iliana said.

Freya's eyes glanced over to the fireplace; there was the boy she had tried to help in the library after the death of a Hufflepuff student. 'Hope he's doing better, thought he might have had a breakdown after all that mess.' Freya then turned to her Professor again. "I just thought I should let you know that my father is just fine with the idea of another animal. So long as I can continue to care for, Noor, which won't be a problem I assure you."

Luckily for Professor Morgan, she was feeling much better now that she was surrounded by her students. "Oh really it was no problem, a little bit of fresh air does wonders to clear the cob webs." Although being inside was far nicer indeed and she held out her hands in front of the fire. "Oh a cup of tea would be lovely, thank you" Kayla replied looking around the room again. It had such a homey feel to it and she couldn't believe it had taken her so long to come down here. Ooh, the full name... well, not the full name, THAT would mean trouble... Wait a sec... oooooh, you did NOT just go there... mmmmhmmm...

Jake gazed at his shoes like they were the most interesting things in the world at that moment, fully aware that he did not like being spoke to like this one bit. It made him feel like he was five years old again.

"I could tell you that," he whispered, staying barely audible. "But I don't lie..." Jake bit his lip, glaring at the ground like it had once done him a great wrong. "Allie was going to... erm..." Jake trailed off, not wanting to go into detail about the chase. "I just got... I didn't want to go!" he ended indignantly.

Jake looked back up when Professor Morgan threatened to take him there. "No," he said stubbornly. "I fixed it myself, I don't need to go..."

Oops...

"Wouldn't have returned if it was down to me," he muttered to himself, thinking about Allie's controlling behaviour. As if I haven't got enough on my mind right now.

Jake fell silent as his gaze roved up to see a familiar Slytherin girl. He gasped, remembering where he had seen her, and quickly turned right around to stare intently at the fire.

I'm not sure if I will be very good at it, but if you mean just by having me bring the topic up I will surely be able to do that." Freya grabbed the front of her bag, which now had the straps over her right shoulder instead of across her chest and waist.

Oops...

Jake whipped his head round as Allie brought up the other conversation.

"Im great Professor." she said."No we didn't..I had to take Jake to the hospital wing..."
She watched silently as Professor Morgan asked about Jakes arm, then decided to say something. "Ummmm we never actually made it to the Hospital Wing, it involved a chase around the school...and then he got away...I was planning to take him after we were done here."
Well that sounded absolutley crazy. She even felt a little guilty about not getting Jake to the hospital wing the day it happened. But hopefully she could get him there after this.
"Soooo I decided to bring him here first. You know, to talk about that whole rumor thing? See him and Cam..who isn't here right now, but I'll bring him here when I can track him down if you like..were saying something about spreading this rumor around the school about Dominic Denton being in love with you. And I was trying to tell them that it was wrong to spread rumors and all that. But they weren't listening, so I decided to take them here, and now were back, and well...yeah."

She felt as though she could stay here forever. "Would you like some help?" Kayla asked politely.

Iliana turned away from the pretty prefect quickly and made her way over to the small table near her desk. "No need dear, the tea is made." She said, taking a few long, deep breaths in an effort to calm herself. The day had been overwhelming. She picked up the tray from off the table and stopped dead when she caught her reflection in the mirror. She looked dreadful. Get it together! She thought to herself.

After making sure that a fresh smile was in place, Iliana turned back towards the group gathered in front of the fire and brought the tea over. "Please help yourself."

She pushed the plate closer to Jake and let out an exasperated sigh. "So not only did you disobey my order but you tried taking matters into your own hands. Can you guess why I’m not smiling right now?" She asked. "Look as much as you'd like to stay here in pain…" She shook her head in disbelief. "We WILL be going to the Hospital Wing today. Together. Your well being, no matter how unimportant to you, is my number one concern, Mr. Upstead. And I will expect you to be on your best behavior when we go."

Iliana gave Allie a disappointed look. "I would have hoped that I could have depended on you for this Allie. After all, you're older and more responsible than the boys." She looked over at Jake and shook her head at his resolve. "Though the more I think about it, there’s really no way that you could have forced him. Its fine dear, I will take him there myself as soon as we're finished here." She said, daring Jake to run with the look in her eyes.

Just as Iliana took a sip of her tea, she choked and nearly spit it out. "Excuse me, WHAT?!" She asked, placing her cup on the table. "Why on earth would Cameron think that?!"

Just as Iliana took a sip of her tea, she choked and nearly spit it out. "Excuse me, WHAT?!" She asked, placing her cup on the table. "Why on earth would Cameron think that?!"

Pointedly ignoring the plate, resisting the lure of sugar for the first time in quite a while, Jake stared at the professor. Urgh, disobey... he hated that word... like really hated. Working hard not to glare, Jake clenched his fist, gripping onto the chair he was sitting in. "No, I can't guess why..." Maybe because you're a mood-swinging woman? How should I know?! Jake answered her question about the smiling fandango... though managed to keep most of what he wanted to say inside his cramped lickle mind.

Upon hearing her next words, Jake leapt up. "No way! That ain't even fair!" he exclaimed, staring at the professor, disbelieving. "I don't want to go there... though if you don't want me here, then fine, I'll leave..." Tell Cameron... Jake's mind was still reeling after that 'on your best behaviour' comment. He was always on his best behaviour... he only had one kind of behaviour. The Jakers Way.

This time not disguising his gaze, Jake glared at Allie, about to demand why she had to tell. He stopped himself, though, and looked between the two females, catching Professor Morgan's look and reconsidering his plan... for a moment. "It doesn't even hurt... just... if I move it... or touch it..." Jake grumbled.

Uh oh... they'd gotten onto the main point. And Professor Morgan was making noises with her tea... oh, she was choking. Now that the mystery of the noises was solved, Jake considered his options. Slink down and pretend he wasn't there... or run for his life.

One foot started on the epic, life-changing, journey to the door...

Iliana listened with waning tolerance as Jake argued his position. Regardless of his determination to stay clear of the school nurse, he needed to realize that the topic wasn’t up for discussion. But before she could tell him exactly that, she saw him make a start for the door. Bad mistake.

With a lightening fast swish of her wand, Iliana sealed the door shut tight. "Jacob Upstead, one more move towards that door and it’s detention!" She shouted. "Do I make myself clear?"

Just as Jake stepped again towards the door, he caught sight of a sudden movement out of the corner of his eye. Flinching a little as he saw the wand, Jake eyed the wand with apprehension. He had half a mind to run over and try the door anyway, but realised that probably wouldn't be wise when he heard Professor Morgan's next words.

"You can't keep me here against my will!" he exclaimed, eyes spotting another door at the back of the hut, and at the wall, a large window.

Perrrrrfect...

Jake immediately changed direction and headed towards the general area of the door and window. She had only mentioned the one door...

Ross was deciding to turn into a prankster and were better to pull a prank than to come to Professor Morgan's Hut so walking up to the door he thought about what he was going to do but instead he just knocked.

Hearing a knock at the door, Iliana's eyes broke their connection with Jake's and she glanced in that direction. She shook her head, ignoring the distraction, just as Jake began to move again. "Detention!!" She called out.

Iliana's wand shot up once more, though this time she pointed it at Jake, silently cast the Langlock jinx on him before immediately levitating him a few feet into the air. "What's that you say? I can't keep you here against you will? Is that so?" She asked, glaring up at him from her chair. "What?! Nothing to say now? Well allow me to respond." She said coldly. "You WILL stay in this office until I am finished speaking with you. And when we are done, we WILL be taking a lovely stroll up to the Hospital Wing. Is that clear, Mr. Upstead." She asked. "A simple nod of your head will suffice." She explained. "And in case you weren't aware, I do NOT like being shouted at. I'm guessing you've figured that out." She stated, calmly looking at her fingernails with indifference. "When you are able to speak again, I will expect an apology."

milloy112 03-04-2009 05:57 PM

Ross could hear things going on inside so taking out his wand , pointed it at her lock and said "allohamora" . Instantly the door unlocked and the door swung open to show a boy flying in the air "WOW" was all that escaped his lips.

theSpark_Inside 03-04-2009 06:05 PM

Spence heard a commotion and saw a boy standing in a door, dumbstruck. She went to look, Jake! She unthinkingly ran inside to try and help, she then saw the teacher. She narrowed her eyes.

Jake opened his mouth to shout something as Professor Morgan gave him detention (DETENTION!) and levitated. He scrambled about and tried to speak, but his tongue was glued to the roof of his mouth. Clawing at his mouth and throat, Jake had to battle with the odd sensation of staying balanced in mid-air, which was actually out of his control.

In response to Professor Morgan, Jake stared wide-eyed and kept clawing at his throat, whimpering a bit. He was helpless and his teacher had her bloody wand pointed straight at him.

Nodding slightly, Jake wondered how he'd get around the apologising thing... Technically, he hadn't disobeyed Morgan... just found a way around her...

LET ME DOWWWWN!!!!!

Jake pouted to convey his real sadness for a moment. He didn't like this.

Oh yeah, she was on The Other List. With Ashby and and Forrester. Ohhhh yeah.

Jake eyed Spence as she ran in the room, pleading with his eyes. After all he'd been through recently, now this teacher was going to bully him as well.

theSpark_Inside 03-04-2009 06:11 PM

Spence quickly did the counter spell so that he could talk, What happened? Why is she doing this? She eyed the mad looking teacher but she didn't care. Are you hurt?

"Is there something that I can do for you, Mr. Milloy?" She asked nonchalantly. "If I'm not mistaken, my door was closed. Care to explain yourself or shall I start taking points from the both you?"

After all, she was here to ensure his safety. Walking around in pain was no way for Jake to spend his days. Why couldn’t he see that? She stroked Vincent affectionately while she mulled over the events of the afternoon and took a deep breath to calm her nerves.

She reached for her tea and sipped it quietly before looking back up at him. "Jake, please stop clawing at your face. When you're ready to speak to me calmly, I will let you down. Just relax." She said dispassionately.

Iliana sighed again and rolled her eyes, knowing full well that the little first year's spell would be ineffective in helping Jake to speak. "10 points from Hufflepuff." She called out. "Young lady, you will keep your wand to yourself in my presence or I will take it from you." She ordered. "Jake is fine and under my care. Now please take a seat in SILENCE or leave my office at once."

Spence slowly put away her wand and pulled a chair near Jake. She sat quietly eyeing the teacher then Jake. He didn't look hurt so she said, Sorry Miss, I panicked. I was there that ... that night and I don't want him to be hurt again. I am sorry. She folded her hands and watched Jake. Calm down Jake. Just think of something pleasnat. Anger boiled inside Spence but she kept her cool. She didn't know what Jake had done to diserve this but she sat quiet, seething.

"Yes, I should." 'But I won't because it's imaginary...so it won't do much good.' Freya almost smirked at her thought, but stopped herself. People should know by now that she hated to be touched...period. "Yes, Ma'am." She looked to the Hufflepuffs as her professor did; why were they all acting like a group of lunatics lately? Maybe it was the death? Nawww...."Have a nice day, erm, a nicer one, Professor." 'Rabid badgers maybe...'. Freya finished as she glanced at the others before exiting the hut and made her way back into the castle, closing the solid doors behind her.

Jake, who was by this time, thrashing about in midair, freaked himself out by forgetting he couldn't quite breathe through his mouth. After flailing for a moment, he soon twigged what to do, however, Jake breathed through his nose and was fine. The spell from Spence hadn't worked at all, and Jake was still rendered speechless.

"Hnnggggg..." he moaned, his voice at it's usual pre-adolescent high pitch, almost like another whimper. "Hnnnngggmmmmm..." Jake stopped attacking his face and throat and ran his hands through his hair, gripping tightly. He dang near freaked out when Spence mentioned... it.

"Hmmmmngnggggg!!!!!" Jake shook his head rapidly, blocking her out. Shut uppppp!!!!! Just shut up about it!

theSpark_Inside 03-04-2009 08:46 PM

Spence realized her mistake and gasped, Jake, calm. You are fine. Nothing is wrong. You are just fine. You are surroneded by people who love you. You will be fine. Her voice had gone almost hyptonic. She tried to lull him to calmness.

Allie looked down at her fingernails as Professor Morgan talked.
"No m'am I should have made sure he went to the hospital wing..I'm sorry I will be more responsible next time."
"Are you okay, Professor?" she asked when she choked on her tea. "I don't know where..."
She stopped talking though as a whole bunch of things started to happen. Jake was trying to run away, and then he ws jinxed...and two hufflepuffs barged in...she sat there watching wide-eyed as all of this went on. She didn't mean for all this to get out of hand. She had just wanted help some first years learn a lesson. SHe thought of the promise she had made Jake and Cam when they first came to the hut. Well..she wasn't one to break a promise.
"Don't give Jake detention. Really, it's all my fault. I should have been more responsible and have handled it on my own..I didn't mean for anyone to get in trouble. If anyone, give me detention instead."

I was there that ... that night and I don't want him to be hurt again. I am sorry. She folded her hands and watched Jake. Calm down Jake. Just think of something pleasant. Anger boiled inside Spence but she kept her cool. She didn't know what Jake had done to deserve this but she sat quiet, seething.

Iliana nodded and watched as the girl found her way into a seat nearby. She hated to have to be so cross but the audacity of some students astounded her. She would have NEVER pulled her wand in front of a teacher. The mere idea had her heated. "Let's make sure it doesn't happen again." She said, in a tone much nicer than the look in her eyes gave off.

Ross was still happy to be mischievous so looking at Professor Morgan he said "Your door slipped open miss."

Iliana gave Ross a sarcastic little laugh and said, "No kidding? And is that what you'll tell your Housemates when they see the 'slip' in their points?" She asked with a scowl. "10 points, Mr. Milloy for that lovely little stunt."

Iliana watched Jake in agony. She had had enough of this nonsense. "That's IT!! I want everyone OUT!" She ordered. Giving Vincent a little whistle, she watched as he quickly flew off her shoulder and back into the safety of his cage. Then she turned to Allie and said, "Miss Johnson, please make sure that everyone leaves this office straight away. I am taking Jake to the Hospital Wing right now." She said. "Miss Winters, please meet me there after you get control of your fellow house mates." She then pointed her wand at Jake, freeing him of all magic and lowering him gently to the ground. Then she led him out her door and up towards the castle.

Spence realized her mistake and gasped, Jake, calm. You are fine. Nothing is wrong. You are just fine. You are surrounded by people who love you. You will be fine. Her voice had gone almost hypnotic. She tried to lull him to calmness.

She shot daggers at the girl on her way out the door and paused abruptly. "What part of SILENCE do you not understand? 5 more points from Hufflepuff." She said and then continued on her way.

Spence gasped, she shut her mouth and left, seething again. This was so wrong.

Jake winced as Professor Morgan lowered him down slowly. He didn't feel like a very good person, having angered the teacher, and he kept his eyes averted and directed at the ground. "I don't want to..." Jake protested softly, dragging his feet and taking his sweet time in moving. "Please..."

Whaaaaaat?! Kayla's gonna be there?! Nuuuuu!!!!! Jake slowed down more at this thought, determined not to get there... Maybe he could dive for the common room when they got to the entrance hall.

Ross decided that she had another thing coming if she thought he was going to give up that easily but sadly he couldnt think of anything to do so instead he just walked out of the hut in a huff kicking a can on his way out.

Taking a deep breath, Iliana forced herself to take back control of her emotions. She hadn't been this worked up in years. It killed her inside to see Jake hurting in such a way. She moved to comfort him but quickly thought better of it. She headed towards the castle, keeping watchful of his position beside her as the made their way. "Jake, I promise you everything will be fine. I was a Healer myself before teaching at Beauxbatons. Trust me please!" She pleaded. "Tell me what's really wrong."

Kayla helped herself to a cup of tea and took a small sip as she surveyed the room again. She placed the cup on a table and reached up underneath her hair and pulled out the tarantula that had been resting there. She was the reason that she had come to see Professor Morgan, after all.

She was just about to open her mouth...when the drama started. Kayla, stood quietly by the fire watching the whole scene torn between being amused and...no actually she was just amused. Although she didn't know Professor Morgan, that well her respect for that woman reached outstanding levels. She liked Jake, very much but his behaviour was bizarre to say the least and she was behind the Professor, in his treatment one hundred percent.

And then more students entered the fray and Kayla groaned inwardly. Why was it always Hufflepuffs? Her eyes narrowed at the loss of points and although she didn't want to see her house lose any points, quite frankly the students had it coming.

Kayla hastily put Charlotte back underneath her hair and stepped forward. "Certainly Professor, I'll be there as soon as I escort these two..."she nodded her head towards the younger Hufflepuff students..."back to the castle. Professor Kazimeriz, doesn't want them walking around on their own."

Kayla looked at the two kids and narrowed her eyes. "You heard the Professor...out." She walked slightly behind the two students, a deep scowl on her face. "Do you two realise how many points you both have lost Hufflepuff and just when we were catching up to Ravenclaw too. Once we get the common room, you are both to stay there." Merlin, did it ever end? She was looking forward to a nice peaceful afternoon with Professor Morgan, and this happens.

Jake kept his head, bowed, eyes darting about him, looking for a place to run. Common Room was just no good, nor was anywhere inside the castle where he would be totally trapped. Jake had a feeling that Professor Morgan would not chase him around like Allie had done, and his head whipped around, without him really thinking.

"I don't want to go..." Jake said clearly. Wait, she was a Healer? EEP! That about did it for Jake. His eyes went wide as he stopped, ignoring the last question. Weren't saying nothing, nuh-uh. Not no way, not no how.

Again, without Jake really thinking, one foot and then another, started to prepare to speed off in another direction. Nothing to lose right now... he thought solemnly.

Iliana heaved a deep sigh. She gave him a forlorn look and said, "Yes, I know that Jake. You've made that abundantly clear." Trudging through the snow with a million thoughts flittering around in her head, Iliana was surprised by how quickly they had made it to the castle.

Ross walked down to Professor Morgans hut and knocked on the door, Instead of barging in he was just going to wait on her answering it.
