Professor Morgan’s Hut Upon entering through the heavy wooden door, you step into a large, brightly lit room. The walls are painted in a warm, chocolate brown, broken up by sheer white curtains while the plain wood floor is accented with a stark white rug. A sweet fragrance reminiscent of autumn leaves lingers here as a surprising draft comes through the open window. Off to the side sits a large mahogany desk lined with pictures. Behind her desk, the wall is obscured entirely by floor to ceiling bookshelves. Her Meritorious Service awards from St. Mungo’s hang on the adjacent wall surrounded by family photos. Next to her desk stands Vincent’s cage, though you’ll seldom find him inside. From her desk, Professor Morgan can easily see the sunset and this is where you will find her going over her lesson plans. The small fireplace on the opposite wall is surrounded by oversized, cream colored leather chairs with beautiful soft, tiffany blue pillows. Everything about this tranquil space seems to draw you to it. Don’t fight it. Come inside and relax for awhile. Just remember to knock first. |
As John Entered the Room He Knew Hell Spend All of time Around Here... He saw the great view that will be from the teachers desk at dawn.. He Hoped The Teacher Was nice As her hut was... |
Barry carefully approached the door and looked behind him to make sure Jack was following "Nice cat" he remarked. Then approaching the door he saw a boy walk straight in. "Rule number one never enter a teachers office without knocking. I did once and I was attacked by surfboards" he then knocked on the door he muttered to Jack "Don`t prank..... yet anyway" |
Jake bit his lip in worry and shuffled backwards a little. Shaking the slightest amount, Jake held Lolcat close and sat the kitten on his should to feel the comfort of warmth. When the cat was on his pedestal, he gave one loud MEW! and gave Jake a head-to-head nudge. "Thanks, you're very kind... and I'm sure Lolcat thinks so too," Jake stated, having to do that not-quite-spitting-but-where-it-seems-like-your-letting-air-out-in-short-blasts kind of thing to get ride of the cat fur on his lips and tongue; the result of Lolcat turning to face the opposite direction and pushing his tail practically in Jake's mouth whilst Jake spoke. "Puh!" Nodding at the "always knock" comment, Jake also replied to the assumption about pranking, "I wasn't planning to..." Not until I meet this lady... she may be a nice teacher. Woah! Oxymoron much? |
Reese walked up to the hut tht belongs to the new Professor. She took in a deep breath and walked up to the door and gently knocked 3 times. She stepped back and waited for someone to answer. She was always bad at making good first impressions on Professors.Let's hope this works out.She can't to detention on the first week of school. |
Iliana was making her way down to her hut, anxious to check on Vincent and give him the little snack that she had salvaged from the feast. Even though she was feeling quite exhausted after the eventful first night, she perked up at once when she saw the small group of students that had gathered just outsider her door. Squeezing past them to open it, she greeted each of them with a sweet, inviting smile and went inside. "Good evening, I'm Professor Morgan, please come in." she said, holding the door for them to enter. Once inside, she made her way over to Vincent's cage and slipped her hand inside. After making his normal flight up her arm and unto her shoulder, Professor Morgan closed his cage and took a seat at her desk. "How can I help you?" she asked, returning her focus to her visitors. |
Jake bit his lip and looked to Barry. "Erm.." he squeaked, nervously. "B-Barry and I wanted to come and... erm, great, you know, the Professors. Mainly the new ones... I... I think." Well way to go Jacob, you made a great job of not acting like a compete idiot. You're acting like a complete lunatic instead. Lolcat brought attention to himself again, on Jake's shoulder, and Jake instinctively reached up to gently keep the kitten there. The kitten had a hungry glint in his eye, so Jake brought him down and held him securely. "So... hi..." Jake finished lamely, wondering if Barry had anything to add, but instead ending up referring to that creature that Lolcat was glaring at. "What's that, Professor Morgan?" he asked, remembering her name. Jake loved animals. |

Hold the phone... sniff... sniffsniff... Was that... sugar?! Jake inched forwards as he was offered a marvelous delight of wonders and joy... or as others may put it... a cookie. He sensed the sugar begin to take effect after so as little as the first nibble. "Wow, a Snidget," Jake spoke up, feeling alot more comfortable. "I only saw one of those in my quidditch books... I wasn't impressed with the sport they had with them, but that was a long time ago, right? So, yeah, wow..." Jake cradled Lolcat in the one hand as he finished the cookie, well aware he shouldn't eat another for... oh, say 3 years? "My name?" Jake asked, distracted by the Snidget. He finally tore his eyes away from it-was it's name... Vincent?-and looked to the professor. Then the words made more sense. "Oh, my name. I'm Jacob Upstead, or most people call me Jake, and I'm a first year Hufflepuff." He didn't know why he added the last part, but it was probably something to do with the sugar giving him a kick-start. "Thank you for the cookie," Jake grinned again. |

Smiling her proud, motherly smile at Vincent, Professor Morgan stroked his feathers once more. "Well before I came to work here at Hogwarts, I held a position at the Modesty Rabnott Snidget Reservation." she explained. Leaning forward in her chair, she whispered, "And you see, this sweet angel's mother died when he was only a day old. So I raised him and he's been with me ever since." she said. |
"Thank you for refrshing my currently terrible memory," Jake nodded. "I read quite a few of my books but you know, with reading things once some things don't get in, and all of this excitement just wipes your memory for a while. I'll be sure to read up some more... I love me my animals," Jake scratched Lolcat's ears to emphasize this, and the cat let out a satisfited MEEEW. Jake smiled and nodded. "It was lovely to meet you too, Professor Morgan," he replied. "And I shall be sure to attend your Care of Magical Creatures class," Jake smiled, before looking up at Barry. "I should go... I promised somebody that I'd meet them, and they get a little sensitive." After a last "Bye, and pleased to meet you," to both the other first year and the Professor, Jake headed for the door. |
Barry had only steppe in and Jake was leaving. Oh well "Well um bye Jake2 he said and he stepped in and said to the professer "Its nice to um meet you professer. Whats your ah experiance?" |

Wow, Hogwarts was probably the hugest school you'd ever find in Scotland. Especially with those tricky moving staircases and all of the other stuff he hadn't encountered yet. Not only the inside but the outside was much, much bigger. Geeez, he could probably even get lost outside! Cam was planning to meet a professor and would probably the first ever professor he would talk to in person. Care of Magical Creatures, or whatever it was, sounded awesome and fun. He had some animal experiences in the muggle world but in Hogwarts, the animals were magical so it had to be twice the fun in everything. There was still some dirt on his face and a small scrape with some red on it from the fall in the courtyard. Honestly he didn't want to try looking for the Hospital Wing or the bathroom since he was afraid to be lost in the school. He would have to try finding those later in case something else happened. Cam brought a cage with all three of his pygmy puffs which was held on his right hand. Knock. Knock. He was sure he'd heard a few students in the room so he'd probably just wait. |

Strolling off towards the Magical Creatures classrooms on the grounds, Dominic figured it best to see this professor next. After all, other than some annoying antics by Professor Brooks, she seemed to be a nice witch. For the most part anyway. Of course little did he know, as the fifth year had never visited the previous professor, was that things were decorated differently. No, Dominic just assumed the tranquility of the scene was Brooks' style, and that she hadn't been at the feast for she was taking care of Abraxans or something. Knocking on the heavy wooden door, the tall Hufflepuff boy waited for the notion to enter the haven, hoping that her office wasn't crowded like Masterson's had been. Sighing quietly, he listened to the voices on the other side of the door for a moment as he waited for the okay to enter. |

Opening the door, he took notice of the quaintly decorated office; not at all what he would imagine someone involved with creatures to decorate their office as. Everything about it was welcoming and friendly. Except for one thing - actually several things. They were in the name of several students lingering and chatting, which meant a couple of choices: 1) Come back later 2) muffliato again or 3) Make the professor kick everyone out. "Um. Hello Professor... ?" Oh yes, Dominic had evidently not remembered her name, but my was she pretty looking. Uhm, right... back on topic. "My name is Dominic Denton, a Fifth year Hufflepuff, and well," he gulped glancing nervously around again. "Do you think it'd be too much trouble to have a moment alone with you?" |
Quote:
There were delicious food in the Dining Hall so he could go experiment there later. Later though. He still had a few to say to Professor Morgan. A yellow puffball-ish thingy sat on her shoulder. "Is that a pygmy puff? But it do--," he was interrupted by the sound of the door opening. Cam turned around to see who it was but could only manage to open his mouth in horror. Dominic Denton. Quote:
"Yoouuuuuuu." He made his voice a whisper so only the meanie could hear it. Why would he need some alone time with Professor Morgan? |
Knock.Knock. A third year Ravenclaw knocked at the Professor's door. She was anxious about what she is about to expect. She didn't have CoMC classes before. This was her first time. She is feeling nervous, yet excited. Will Professor Morgan be nice? She wondered. There are tons of questions running through her head. She then waited patiently for the Professor to open her door. |
Via walked out of the castle to find herself on the ground of Hogwarts for the first time since they arrived. She better check on the new Professor for their care of Magical creatures. Well, she still remember the first care of magical creature they had at Belle's. She saw a girl, probably the same year as she was standing outside the door. The girl had already knocked and Via wasn't going to knock again. She waited there with the girl. glancing around, Via smiled. She was out again and it felt nice. |

She wasn't lost. No matter what ANYONE said. NOT LOST. Weeelll... Maybe just a teeny bit displaced. Wandering up to the a rather cute little hut infront of her, Poppy gave it a sideways look. It looked quite innocent. Maybe it was the CoMC teacher's hut. That was probably right. Walking right up to the door, she knocked twice, took a step backwards... And almost fell into the mud. Whoo, that was close. |

Taking a deep breath in, the fifth year did what he knew best. He nodded curtly at the boy before turning back to face the prettiful Professor Morgan. Quote:
"Well, Professor Morgan," the fifth year began in his normal tone, before taking a seat in front of her desk and leaning forward to whisper to her. "An appointment for a later time might be necessary, but I suppose there is no harm in you reading this yourself." He continued thoughtfully; after all, he was just supposed to share the sonnet with each individual professor... how he did this, was his own creativity, right? "It's just a little something I wrote... to erm... welcome you to Hogwarts," he nodded briefly, before uttering an imperturbable charm on the parchment he removed from his robe pocket, so that only Professor Morgan could read it. Handing it to the Magical Creatures Professor, he awaited her response... SPOILER!!: Yes, that's right, you kiddles charries can't see this... bwaha, fifth year is fun cause you know all these charms! |
Quote:
He went closer to her desk, juuuust to observe the little snidget. Quote:
He really wasn't observing Vincent but would take a glance at the parchment every few seconds. In fear of possibly getting caught he took a few steps back and tried to memorize those two lines that were in it. More of like... a poem, he didn't know for sure. Hm... why would he give her a parchment with a small poem on it? AHA! Cam knew it all of a sudden, it was so clear. Dominic liiiked Professor Morgan and he cast like a love spell on her and gave her a love poem! Yes, that was it. He must tell everybody! Everybody! "Byee Professor Morgan. Nice meeting you! And you too Vincent," he said before leaving the hut. |

Eying the boy cautiously as he dashed from the hut, Dominic shook it off and turned back towards Morgan. He would have to figure out what firstie evil boy was up to later... Quote:
Gulping nervously, he nodded and offered a fake smile towards her when she agreed to it being a 'beautiful poem', but her tone said there was more. Collecting the poem and the note that she had written and handed with his own parchment, Dominic's eyes narrowed as he read her neat cursive handwriting. She knew; that was it! He was doomed for and if he stuck around then perhaps she would see him an unfit prefect... And turn him into the Headmaster. NO! He couldn't let her do that! He would have to leave, as there was no choice. No other way... He had to finish the task he was assigned. "No Professor Morgan, that will be all," the fifth year told her, attempting to speak in a relatively calm tone. Or at least one to be perceived as such. "Thank you for your time and I should be off now. See you in your lesson," he smiled politely towards her as he rose and left her hut. Two more professors on the grounds - he could do this! |

Noticing that Professor Morgan was finally free, Candi sprung on the opportunity to introduce herself. "Hello, I'm Candi Clodfelter," She said enthusiastically shaking her hand, " I can't wait until your class begins, I have always have a special spot in my heart for animals." She announced, " I have a cat named Kai upstairs, she is beautiful really, I hope I can introduce you to her sometime." |

Noticing that Vincent was starting to get restless again, Iliana lifted him off of her shoulder and set him on her desk. She laid out a few more seeds in front of him and pat him on his tiny head. "You sit here and stay put." she said, taking a seat nearby and turning to face the girl once again. "So dear, tell me about your kitty. Have you had her long?" she asked. |
Ross walked down towards care of magical creatures with a hole in his heart and he thought the only way that he could heal it a little bit is going to see if there was anything he could do for his favourite class care of magical creatures but he was still missing Astrid. Knocking on the door he sighed waiting for it to be answered by the new teacher Professor Morgan. |
Quote:
"Excuse me, one moment." She said, hearing another knock at the door. "Come in, the door open." she called out. |
Ross jumped out of his daze and walked in "Hello miss" he said "My name is ross" |
"Nice to meet you, Ross. I'm Professor Morgan. Please make yourself comfortable." She said, motioning toward the big, comfy chair next to her. "How can I help you today?" she asked. |
Ross decided that he should listen to this teacher so walking over to the comfy chair he looked around the room and noticed various things stationed around it "Well i am here to offer my help on anything that needs done" Ross said as he made himself comfortable on the chair that he was now sitting on. |
Out of the corner of her eye, Iliana saw that Vincent was finished with his treat. She whistled at him and smiled as he flew back over and perched on her shoulder. "Well Ross, I really don't have anything that needs done at the moment." she said, touched by the offer. "But I will definitely come find you whenever something comes up. Thank you." she said. "Tell me, do you plan to attend my lessons?" |
"Of course" Ross said truthfully "Care of magical creatures is my favourite lesson. |
William wandered around outside, wondering where he should begin his homework. he hated working inside, so stuffy and drafty yet out here, the sun was somewhat shining, the fresh air was clearing his rattled brain and he was on a mission of sorts. After listening to the ramblings of his cousin in one of her long winded letters to him he figured the best place to start would be here at the CoMC class. Of course, it would help if he could properly articulate his wording in a way that wouldn't seem redundant. Sighing he stopped at the door, his feet shuffling slightly as he prepared himself for his first confrontation with the professor. Hopefully she would be able to help him, if not then he'd have to go back into the strange ghost filled castle and try his luck elsewhere. Knocking a few times on the door he leaned back against his heels and waited for admittance. As he waited he dug inside his pockets looking for the lone chocolate frog he always kept there when he got nervous or shy - which was always. Unwrapping it he put the discarded wrapper in his pocket and popped the frog into his mouth, chewing quickly in case he was allowed in within seconds. |

The door opened just as he finished chewing. With a warm slightly shy smile William entered the hut and nodded at the others. "I thought I'd introduce myself and see if perhaps you could help me. I'm William Cullack by the way." He said in a small voice. He was always nervous around authority figures. "You see, I got this card in History of Magic, but I can't seem to find any information on it." He held it out, showing the name, Lord Stoddard Withers. "I figured you could give me a clue as to what he did. All I know is that he breed flying horses and that he died in 1769." He stopped, hoping he wouldn't get into trouble for asking another professor for help. Second guessing was his way of trying to calm himself, but he was in too much now, there was no stopping him. "I guess what I'm trying to ask is, is there anything you know about him?" He asked, his blue eyes pleading with her. |

Chris walked into the hut after he was called in. "Hello Professor Morgan, Im Chris Potter." Chris smiled as he walked across the room and shook her hand. "Um you know where we could go and help the magcial creatures and such." |
"There's so many reasons I can't choose one," muttered Daphne as they finally arrived. The murmurs of visitors warned her to stay back but the initial intention had been to meet the Professor. Sweeping a golden glance at Celandine, Daphne sighed. "Should we knock? Or silently slip in...?" Why did she just whisper that conspiratorially? And what was with this sudden shifty mood? |
Quote:
"We knock of course," Celandine responded, using Daffneee's hand to knock politely on the door, her voice at a regulated tone and yet loud enough to be heard within, "What kind of saddles do you think are better?" Cela asked Daphne curiously, "I read a few books on the subject of saddle care and it got me thinking that probably the saddles here haven't been conditioned in a while. And Daphne it was a good idea you had about coming down here because we can help condition the saddles and learn more about saddle care in the process. You are so smart Daaaaffneee!" Cela chattered. |
Daphne stared incredulously at her fist as it knocked on the heavy wooden door with the aid of Celandine. "What are you doing?" she asked more her own hand than Cel. Then turning her head, it was Cel's face turn to be stared in disbelief. "I beg your pardon?" If Daphne didn't know any better, somehow she was being placed as the person responsible for this entire shenanigan. "Yes, I am smart but what are you trying to--," muttered the blond trailing off, waving her captured fist from side to side. "Do..you...mind--returning my hand that is." Personal space being personal after all. And wait a minute--what about conditioning--Had she just been tricked into doing manual labor?! "I'm sorry...what?" squeaked Daphne in a panic. Oh. No. No. She didn't use her hands for such things. Daphne had Davis to take care of such things. |
Quote:
Cela let go of Daphne's hand after giving it a comforting and almost apologetic squeeze, "I'm going to need someone who is good at following instructions and smart to read from the books while I condition the saddles." Cela added helpfully. Sheesh. Slytherins were so much easier to work with. "Daphne your hair looks almost as nice as mine today." Cela added thoughtfully before knocking politely on the door again and stepping back behind her Gryffindor friend. |

Daphne gawked at Celandine's backside with a mixture of shock and disbelief. The nerve! Her hair would beat anyone's any day! She would have gone on to proclaim so if the Care of Magical Creatures didn't prove to be so efficient and had immediately ushered them inside. Not willing to be the only one without manners, the Gryffindor girl placed a hand on Cel's back and stepped inside with her. "Good day, Professor," chirped Daphne glancing sideways at the Ravenclaw friend. "We are here to..." she paused, trying to find a suitable way of approaching things but quickly gave up. "Inquire about saddles." Miss Hopton sighed, slightly leaning into Cel. It couldn't be helped. Daphne had already stepped into this thing. |
Chris smiled at professor Morgan. "Then that will be very exciting then. Because last year i got to help take care off a baby unicorn. I will definatly be attending your first lesson." he laughed |
Quote:
Now that he didn't feel as if he'd completely fail History he relaxed a bit."I'm sorry for cutting my visit short professor, but I must be starting on my homework now. I look forward to your first lesson. " He said bowing slightly, his blue eyes tinkling brightly. Now that he knew where to begin, the rest would be easy. |

Sometimes people forgot that Cela was a Toussaint too. "Yes, saddles." Cela agreed, "Daphne and I were talking, because she has all these history books," Cela jabbed Daphne's pockets gently, "And one of her books talks about historical use of saddles on flying horses in the wizarding world as well as for other flying creatures for those witches and wizards that aren't comfortable flying bareback; which got us to talking about how the saddles here probably haven't been used for a while, so Daphne had a good idea about coming to see you and we thought we might ask if you would like us to condition the gear that is here." Cela paused, "I was kind of interested to see what kind of leathers and hides react to which kind of solutions too. As well as how the altitude effects different saddles. Kind of an experiment in Care of Magical Creatures, History of Magic and Potions all in one." Cela took a breath and smiled brightly at the Professor. |
Oh, yes, the ruddy books, thought the blond giving her robes' pockets a cautionary pat. Celandine had said she had an hour to get them out of there before they returned to their normal size and...basically, have her robes implode. Nodding repeatedly, Daphne did not allow her awe to be too evident. It was true. She knew Celandine to be a Ravenclaw but because her general hobbies seemed to be--uh--questionable, it made it difficult to remember that her IQ was above average. "Studying the classes in theory is all good," added Daphne with a small smile, sweeping Cel' with a questioning look before proceeding. "But it's always important to lean from tactile experiences. The information reaches us more directly," enthused Hopton, shaking one hand in the air to gesture just how directly the info would be absorbed. "Don't you think? So..that's...what I was thinking..." Or, supposedly anyways. |
Maddox was lingering outside, holding Asmara in her cage in his right hand, pondering what to say. He had never had a professor this gorgeous before, but his owl was sick and she was the person he was supposed to go to. 'What can i say? Hello hottie mchots professor my owl is sick can you fix her? and waggle the eyebrows? No i think not.' He shook that thought off and pondered some more. Finally, the words came to him. He smiled and continued on to the door of her hut. Once he got there he knocked three times, and waited, (rather impatiently), for her to allow him to enter. |

"Tell me ladies… have you had much experience with leather saddles?" she asked, scribbling down some notes in her perfect cursive writing. "Now, they've been oiled not too long ago so you won’t have to worry about that." She said, walking over towards the closet and flinging the door open. She reached inside and came out with a large wooden bucket. "You’ll need this. My glycerin soap and conditioner are all right here, as well as fresh, clean rags and some brushes. Let me show you where I keep the saddles." She said, leading the girls out the door and quite possibly to a chore that weren't aware they had volunteered for. Once outside, she pointed towards the tack room and handed over the bucket along with the note she'd prepared. "Alright, looks like you're all set. Good luck and thanks so much." Quote:

Maddox smiled, he was a little nervous. Usually he didnt visit professors, but Asmara was sick and he wasnt sure what was wrong. "Hello Professor Morgan. I am Maddox Darcy." He followed her in to the room and noticed how tranquil it was. He might have to come here around NEWT's. Mads sighed and replied, "It's my snowy owl. Her name is Asmara. She wont eat and wouldnt come to me when I tried to send a letter. It looked like something was wrong with her wing but she wont let me look. She snaps at me when I try." He was genuinly worried about Asmara. The fact that Professor Morgan was gorgeous, was effecting his nerves a bit. |

"I've had more experience with dragon hide, but some with regular leather, Professor." Celandine answered, happily. She noted where everything was kept, took an armful of what they'd need, and followed Professor Morgan outside, nodding as she listened. "We don't need luck. Hard work is better than luck." Celandine responded, taking the parchment and looking at it. "Thank you, Professor!" Cela called, not lifting her head from the instructions. Quote:

At the mention of wands, Daphne happily extracted hers from the inside pocket of her robes. On her lips danced a bemused smile, eyes easing on the Professor's face with curiosity. Was she being completely honest? What kind of witch didn't carry their wand with her at all times? Daphne, rather reluctantly, followed the Professor outside having seen her f-f-f-person she was friendly with do the same. Whether she had been tricked or persuaded to participate in this wasn't of importance anymore. She couldn't let her f-f-person she was friendly with look bad, nor herself. "Don't worry about us, Professor!" called Daphne more cheerfully than she trully felt, waving a small pudgy hand at her retreating backside. "We'll be just fine." Quote:
Oooh. Points! |

"Extra credit? It might." Celandine shrugged, apparently unconcerned. After all that wasn't her reason for doing this; merely the reason she used to get Daphne involved. |
Jillian walked up to the new Care of Magical Creatures Professor's hut, maybe befriend her and welcome her to Hogwarts. And since she was a CoMC Professor, there was no doubt she'd love her Tree Frog! She knocked thrice on the door and pushed the door open. Surprisingly, she found her two friends--her fellow Pirates, if you will. "Daphne? Cela?" she said, looking at the both of them, "What are you two doing here?" She wasn't sure but she thought she caught that mischievous look in Cela's eye. |
"Oh, you do seem the type!" exclaimed Daphne with a raised brow. Yes, Celandine did seem like the mischievous little witch with a knack for witty and useful charms. The kind to use them in a different way anyone else would. "I bet if you tried hard enough you could come up with your own charm. Mix two together and create a new string of charms patented to your name." Fame. Prestige! Daphne could see it now. Day dreaming over her f--person she was friendly with' possible accomplishments, Miss Hopton became sparkly eyed. "Oh...don't use that tone," reproached the pudgy blond with a guilty tone. "Extra credit isn't the only reason I'm doing this--I mean, sure, I won't say no to a few points, Merlin knows the Gryffindor Hourglass needs a few rupees, but of course--there's other beneficial things coming out of this!" Like....Liiiiike...hesitated Daphne, bending over to pick up a stiff cloth from the bucket, having retained an odd shape from having been unwashed and left wet with soap and grime on it. "For example, we get to bond--while we wipe off dust and dirt from the saddles with this yucky cloth." Quote:
After all, that's what they were doing...right? |
Quote:
Quote:
"We are conditioning saddles. And Jillian, you should come to the library with me later and I'll show you some interesting charms that might come in handy for the next pirate adventure!" Celandine nudged Daphne, and picked up a dry cloth, " What do we do after wiping the dust and dirt off?" Cela began to do exactly that, gesturing to another stack of saddles and the empty stand next to hers so Jillian could get involved if she wanted. |

Jillian grinned. "Oohh! Sounds fun!" she said excitedly. It was odd that the girl genuinely thought the task fun, that was most probably because she hadn't done it before and anything people usually described as 'new' Jillian called 'fun.' "D'you two mind if I joined in?" she asked, already taking a seat next to Cela. Her Tree Frog, Eadric, slipped out of her pocket and hopped on one of the saddles. "Eadric, we en't using 'em yet. We need to condition 'em first, yeah?" And at that, she took a dry cloth and began wiping the saddle next to the one her little frog was perched on. Jillian nodded. "Sure, We can go and learn charms. I bet they'd be really helpful once we try meeting that Giant Squid that's s'pose to live in the Black Lake. Eadric and him are gonna be great friends, I can tell!" "So," she began, trying to strike up conversation. "What's new with you two?" Eadric croaked, as if echoing her question. |
Ruby walked to Professor Morgan's hut she seemed nice and she wanted to speak with her she knocked on the door and waited. |
Daphne simply nodded along reading the instructions on the note. It was all trully tedious. Tedious, tedious. "I'm sorry, who's meeting the Giant Squid?" Certainly not her. "I wish you two the best. May you be merry and live a long life--together." Suddenly pointing at the bucket with a manicured finger, Miss Hopton frowned. "It says here you need to lather up the saddles with glycerin soap and a clean rag. You must as little water as possible. Like I said...tedious." Or more like she was telling herself. "Nothing new really, Jillian," besides world domination. "Besides getting Miss Winnie to rid herself of that ridiculous giant bow. You know Winnie Ferguson don't you? I think she's a year below us. Gryffindor." |
Quote:
"What's new? I got some new pets!" Celandine shot a sideways look at Daphne and finished dry wiping the saddle. Quote:
Cela began scrubbing at the saddle with the damp cloth, building up a lather. "Who has a bow?" Cela turned her head slightly, "You know who should have a bow? The giant squid. Do you think your friend Winnie will donate her bow to the giant squid?" |
Quote:
Jillian eyed Daphne. "Erm, Daph? Why were you talking to the bucket?" she asked, a little confused. Wow. Maybe her craziness was affecting poor Daphne. "Winni Ferguson? Nope. I don't think I met her before, have I, Eadric?" she said turning to her frog. The frog simply croaked passively. "That's a no then. Although she sounds pretty unique if she's got a big bow on her head. Takes guts to walk around Hogwarts looking like a christmas present!" Quote:
"Yeah? Where'd you hear it from? Have they met the Gian Squid?" Jillian was simply ecstatic. She knew it was a good idea to drop by the CoMC Professor's hut! Jillian grabbed a clean cloth and dampened it with the concoction Cela had made and started scrubbing the saddle. "Ooooh! That's be really fun! I hope she does give it to the Giant Squid. We should write something on the bow...y'know leave a mark so that when we get outta here and someone else befriends the squid they'll see the bow and know that we were friends with it too!" Jillian spoke so fast that she hardly had enough time to catch her breath. "We could write something like...'To the Giant Squid, X marks the spot! -The Pirates.'" |

"I read somewhere the squid's name is Bartholomew Henry the Third...or was it the fourth?" hesitated Hopton in doubt, suddenly chewing on her lower lip before fumbling with the notes in her hands. "Either way, whoever heard of naming a giant squid?" spoke the girl with a haughty laugh. "It's silly! And I wasn't talking to the bucket dear," corrected the girl promptly with a shake of her head, golden curls flying from side to side. "I was talking to both of you--Wash the entire saddle and all leather attachments, methodically--Oh Honestly!" exclaimed Daphne finally irritated. "I can't believe we're doing this." More like, she couldn't believe they were doing this. "At home, Papa has the help do it," informed Daphne pointlessly, unaware that no one really cared what Papa did or didn't do at home. "Either way," sighed the pudgy young woman waving the parchment in the air. "It says here wash both sides of the leather. Soooo tedious!" |
Quote:
Celandine continued cleaning the saddle and the leather attachments, cleaning both sides of the leather and giving extra attention to the cinch straps and stirrup leathers. She nodded brightly at Jillian's pet question, "Barry got me a pygmy puff and Gar... I named it Whoopsiedaisy." Celandine paused briefly, hoping that neither Gryffindor had noticed her almost slip, "And I got a scorpion. It's name is Him." Cela picked up the brush and took extra care getting the dirt out of the nooks and crannies on both of the saddles she was working on. Quote:
Once she had done the saddles for herself and Daphne, Cela moved over to Jillian and started to help her with her one. Lathering, scrubbing, wiping... "Servants do it at my estate too." Cela agreed, "But my Grandmother says its important that you can do everything they can do or you risk them having one up on you. Silly right?" She continued helping Jillian with her saddle. Cela moved over to the other two saddles which were almost dry. She levitated them one at a time and placed them where they'd dry easily and be in shade. "I suppose we are done. Are you done Jillian?" Cela asked the Gryffindor. "Lets go inside and tell the Professor we are done so she can check if we did alright." Celandine was about to pick up the bucket and cloths but turned and eyed Daphne speculatively instead. Hmm. Need to make this convincing. Cela marched over to Daphne and forcibly rolled up the other girl's sleeves before batting at her hands with one of the dirty cloths. Yeah now she looked like she'd been working hard, "Don't worry, I'll clean you off afterwards." Cela smiled and turned to go inside, emptying the bucket on her way. She walked up the steps and stowed the cloth and buckets away, "Done, Professor Morgan! Daphne and our other friend Jillian; who came to help too, are just finishing up and will be inside in just a moment." Cela looked out the window at her friends, offering a wave and gesturing the other two to come inside. |

"Why don't you sit Asmara right here." She instructed. "And tell me.... when did you notice the difference in her behavior?" Quote:

Zoe; Dotterz; Lisa <3 Allie dragged Cam and Jake towards Professors Morgans hut. Wow, who would have thought she would have picked up Astrid's manhandling problem? But enought about that, she would write to Astrid later, right now she had to teach these two firsties a lesson. And they wouldn't listen to her so she had to take them Professsor Morgan. They practically forced her too. And its not liek they would get detention or lose points or anythign horrible like that "Here we are!" she said, knocking on the door with her foot. Sh edidn't want to risk letting go of either of them incase they ran away. |
dot, lisa, becca Jake was bamboozled by Allie's sudden complete, total and utter VIOLENCE! "No!!!!! No, GET OFF!!!!!" he yelled, scared. She was bigger than him, and Jake suddenly noticed where he was. "Get OFF me!" he cried out, struggling, clawing at Allie's hand. Getoffmegetoffmegetoffmegetoffmegetoffme!!!!! Jake subconsciously bared his teeth as he struggled. Wow, a month sharing a dormitory with Willie Crocker was kinda having an affect on him. "Nuuuuuuuu!!!!!" Jake yelled, turning and trying to run for the castle. His feet were just scraping back again as he tried harder and harder to run, his legs going faster and faster. He would NOT be manhandled this way. |
-cries- Quote:
He quickly opened his mouth, daring to bite her hand off of him if necessary. Just trying to help the professor from that meanie and now possibly getting in trouble because of it. "'Ey Aehh. Weaase dun do zis to ush," he begged again, but didn't know if it could even be understandable because his mouth was still open. |
I has to go, but I will reply as soon as I get back Quote:

"Calm down guys!" she said, as her arms were starting to hurt from holding them back, and Jakes clawing at her hand was started to cause her real pain. "Your not going to get in any trouble I promise. And if you do, I will take the blame for it ok?" Awwww now Cam was starting to cry. He looked so adorkable she could just let go of them now and let them run off. But she couldn't, this was important. If they started that rumor, then who knows what Dom would do to them? She HAD to protect her little firstie buddies. She wouldnt let Dom eat them. SO she just looked away, and started at Professor Morgans pretty door, waiting for her to answer it. |
*not posting till after lisa* Jake saw Cameron's face, and blinked his own tears away. He didn't want trouble. Trouble meant hate, and he didn't want "Let me go..." he whined, using any protrusion on the ground to push him forwards, as if he was rock-climbing. Wow... did Allie have superglue on her hands? Jake's arms started to stretch as he pulled on something sturdy to get away, and then the popping sound from his shoulder, the one attached to the arm atteched to the wrist that Allie held. "Owwww..." he moaned, still stretched. Jake sniffed a little. Just a cold. Curse him never getting out much, or drinking milk. Stupid bones and joints; he couldn't remember what was supposed to be the beneficial thing, but it didn't matter. He was in PAIN. He didn't think it was dislocated... maybe, but it hurt like the Dickens as he carried on trying to run, blinking tears back as his breath hitched slightly. "You..." breeeeeathe... "... are meeeean and cruel!" he yelled back, ignoring his uneven voice. |

Maddox tried to keep his composure the best he could. He sat Asmara's cage where she told him too. "Thank you, I really do appreciate it." He smiled, hoping it didnt look too nervous. Mads watched as the little bird flew to its perch with just one simple whistle from the Professor. "You can call me Maddox by the way." He smiled, wondering if she would or not, though he doubted it. He thought for a moment and replied, "Well I just went up to the Owelry for the first time today. I needed to send a letter to me mum. So I would say today." He shrugged. He felt bad that he hadnt come and check on her before though. He needed to do that more often. |
Twilight Mcdonahue walked down to Professor Morgans hut, but saw what was all going on, she decided that maybe she should come back later. She peeked into the stone building and a longing so big filled her heart that she decided to sit down and write a note instead and then let Eveningstar deliver it. Eveningstar was the biggest headache in the world, he just would not stay put in the owlery... he seemed to be small enough to escape easily... she would have to find another solution. She sighed. SHe took out her quill and a light green parchment and wrote her note, adding flowers, curliques and little animals. SHe attached it to Eveningstar and whispered to him to deliver the note quietly and not to be greedy. SHe watched him fly off first towards the castle, whereupon she shook her head. He finally seemed to realize his error and headed for the hut. Twilight smiled softly to herself and headed back towards the castle. |
Herminny had not raised her hand in class because she was a little scared at first to take on such a huge responsibility caring for magical baby creatures, but she thought it over and decided she wanted to take on the challenge after all. Thus she knocked on the proffessors door hoping it was not too late to take on the journal activity thinking why oh why did I not realize I waned to do this earlier. |

"Done?" squeaked Daphne, throwing her arms up. "Oh, good! I think I could go for some--" except, her wishes for almond cookies and black tea were cut off shirt by Celandine's sudden dirty attack. "Do you--Honestly--What are you doing?" interrogated Miss Hopton shrilly when her pudgy hands were smacked with a dirty cloth; the one she had been casting disapproving looks at earlier. Whimpering slightly, lips turned downcast, she entered the hut after Celandine, holding out her hands before her away from her body. She was dirty. D-I-R-T-Y. Do you know what that spells? Yes. Dirty. Quote:
