| | |  Professor Antonio Dumont's Office
Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.
As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.
On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.
On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)
Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know! | |

"Well, we need to make sure of that," Antonio said, holding up two fingers in front of Jack. "How many fingers do you see?" He needed to make sure Jack was okay, that he wasn't suffering from some sort of concussion or something. Concussions weren't as common among witches and wizards as muggles, but still it could happen.

Well, in Jack's defense I don't think he TRIED to drown himself... it was just a latent consequence of an impulse he acted upon. She looked at Jack again. He really didn't look well. Cadence could sense his pain and illness, just as she had sensed yesterday that something bad was going to happen, the day her parents had been murdered. She couldn't explain it and this, perhaps, is what distrubed her the most about these feelings.
She took a deep breath. I don't know about St. Mungo's, but he really needs to be looked at by someone, just to make sure he's okay...

He knew what would happen to Jack if he ended up in St. Mungo's, he probably would never get a chance to return to Hogwarts, so he wanted to give him one last chance to straighten up. "Jack, I don't think you want to go to St. Mungo's. Do you think you can work with us? Because if you keep acting the way you've been acting, you're not going to leave us any choice. My patience is reaching the end of its limits now."
Antonio thought a moment. "I agree with you, Cadence. I think Jack really needs someone to look after him. Unfortunately, I can't be around him all the time, I've got teaching duties to take care of and a lot of other things. Both of you are in Hufflepuff, do you think you can help keep him out of trouble, along with his girlfriend Sakura, of course? It's going to be a hard job, but I think you can do it. And you can always come to me if you have any problems, of course. Let's try to make sure that Jack stays at Hogwarts and gets his education, otherwise we're just giving in to things that don't necessarily have to happen."

John had lost his patience with Jack and now the professor wanted him to babysit his own brother. "Professor to do that you would need to be on call 24/7, you have seen what has happened when he is left alone for two minutes, He starts to act like this, when deep down we both know he is a good kid and I love him because he is my twin brother." John wondered what would happen if he refused to do what the professor said as he had his own life and wanted to make friends and explore hogwarts a bit more.

She wouldn't exactly count herself among Jack's friends, though she would count Jack among hers. Plus it didn't help matters much that Cadence thought Sakura hated her and wouldn't take kindly to following her boyfriend around. I... I just want him to be okay... Cadence said stupidly. She was still very confused about what was going on and hoped John would explain it to her later.

Cadence gasped a little as she saw the Prefect she had talked to earlier standing on the other side of the door. Um... hello Kayla... she said awkwardly from where she crouched on the floor next to Jack. Great, just what I need. I just told her my parents were murdered and now she sees me in here with the boy who almost drowned in the lake. She's going to think trouble follows me around...

"Um...yes it's Kayla" she managed to finally answer. "Well actually it's about Jake here and I...uh guess his brother too" she shook her head slightly, did she really want to get tangled up in all of this especially with some of the things she had heard.
