Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.

As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.

On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.

On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)

Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

Sakura went to grab his hand while asking. "Jack what's wrong? What did I do?" Now she was more worried about losing him then him finding out about Dumont. It was the first day and already he was suspicious of her this was just great. She'd definitely have to tell Dumont.

It didn't look like Jack was going to stop though.

"Nothing, I just, need to go" Jack said rather dejectedly as he carried on walking away

Great. Now he was walking away from her, maybe she shouldn't have put in her mind that she was scared, but at least now, she was sure that he could read minds. Turning back to Dumont's door she knocked several times in quick succession, she really hoped that he was in, she had some things to tell him.

At that moment though an image flashed through her head, it was Jack, he was seemingly trying to leave the castle, where oh where was Dumont?

Ruby decided that she had to see Professor Dumont she walked up to the door and knocked confidently she was going to help Sakura one way or another and it started at this office she stood and waited

"Ruby what are you doing here?" Sakura asked. Obviously Ruby had heard her comment earlier and decided that she was referring to Dumont.

Ruby heard Sakura behind her and she turned around she smiled and replied "i have a problem and i wish to speak with Professor Dumont"

Sakura gave Ruby a look that said 'yea right' "Cousin you really shouldn't lie to me. Is it you that has the problem, or is it someone else that has a problem that is close to you?"

Ruby looked at her cousin and she lied through her teeth "Sakura dearest i have a problem and i was told that Professor Dumont is probably the best to go to first," Ruby knew she could lie and get away with it she always had "i am not here on anyone else's busniss"

Sakura smiled sweetly her cousin was so lying through her teeth. "Well then you wont mind if I'm with you when you talk to him then will you? I was told to report here today. Oh and by the way, when I made that too late comment I meant it about Jack, he seemed pretty dangerous today."

Ruby looked at her cousin and replied "if you don't mind i want to see the Professor by myself it is a delicate matter" she nodded once

"Well I would leave, but like I said, I was expressly told to report here and I don't want to lose more points than I already have." Looking at Ruby she suddenly noticed that she was wearing a pink necklace. "Pretty." Sakura said, she loved the color pink.

Ruby looked at her cousin "i won't be long" she looked at her necklace and replied "John gave it to me a while ago"

Lucky you. Sakura thought, Ruby wasn't even going out with him yet he gave her a present. However all Sakura got was yelled at. She couldn't help but be a little bitter. Sighing she leaned against the wall as she waited, she still had to tell the Professor what happened with Jack as well as try to learn Occlumency. At this point her cousin was a complication, one that she wished she could get rid of.

Ruby watched Sakura lean against the wall she tucked the necklace down her robes and waited for the professor she couldn't help but feel unwanted by Sakura at the moment What had happened in the Broom cupboard? Ruby thought

"If you want to know, we fought okay, I was trying to help and he yelled at me. Dumont asked me to keep an eye on Jack, to earn the points back, report anything unusual. He suspects that something is wrong and wants to help. And he's right which is why I agreed. I didn't want to tell you though because Jack is a legilimans we think. Well anyway he read my mind, and at the time all I was thinking was that he was scaring me. That he wasn't acting the way he normally did." Sakura said all of this without looking at her cousin.

Antonio heard knocking on the door and opened it, finding Sakura and another young lady there, Ruby, he thought her name was. "Come in, both of you, please," he urged.

"Hello Professor Dumont." Sakura said as she slipped into the room. "I wanted to discuss what we were talking about last night." Sakura said hesitantly.

Antonio smiled. "Thank you for returning, Sakura," he told her. "Forget everything we talked about yesterday. I think all John really needs is a friend, someone to care about him and watch out for him. If you can be that friend, then I will restore your house points to you. Just try to watch for him and keep him safe, and that's all I ask of you."

"Okay, but I was wondering if you'd still be willing to teach me Occlumency. He read my mind earlier and I'm not sure I liked it, he only seemed to be able to read surface thoughts but still. Oh and I'll forget it sure, but I'm still a bit scared of him, his mood swings are way dramatic." Sakura said with a sigh. By the end of term she was going to be exhausted.

"I can do that for you, if you really feel the need," Antonio said. "I understand what you mean, his mood swings are very dramatic and a bit scary. Perhaps it might be better if you had some sort of protection for yourself. When would you like to start? I can show you a few simple techniques whenever you are ready, and you can practice them on your own."

"Whenever is convenient for you is good." Sakura shrugged showing that while she wanted to still learn it wasn't too urgent.

Holding back a scowl, Jake noted that he'd only been given two points so far, from some hormonal-seeming woman, who was like him when it came to cleanliness. No matter how Jack felt now, Jake didn't think he'd be all that he'd be too happy should he find out and take it the wrong way.

Stay out of it, Jake. Just forget it.

"I should be going, Professor. After what I already experienced from one class, I need to re-read my textbooks again," he explained. "I'll be sure to attend your classes, they seem as though they may be enjoyable."

And with that, Jake headed for the door.
