| | |  Professor Antonio Dumont's Office
Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.
As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.
On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.
On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)
Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know! | |

Piper walked slowly into Professor Dumont's office, she had to at least say goodbye to him, as well as to Jack. Maybe Anna, but she wasn't so sure about that. She adjusted her blue cloak and wiped the tears from her violet eyes. She had just gotten done owling her parents, and they had responded quickly. They were coming to get her, and she could leave this place. She didn't know how her sister had done it. " Professor Dumont?" She asked as she pulled off her black hat and started to play with it nervously.

Piper shook her head as Professor Dumont spoke and she wiped her eyes more. Her voice coming out in a slight choke. "No.. I'm not ill,and no nothing is wrong with anyone I know.. at least I don't think so.." She twirled her hat in her small white fingers and nervously pushed her hair behind her ears. " I.. I came to say goodbye.. I'm.. I'm leaving.." She said more tears coming to her eyes.

Do you have anything planned in regards to your future? That's something you need to consider, you know. Your future is very important, and not to be taken lately. Remember, you're a witch, Piper, and the best place for your education is right here at Hogwarts or some school like it. I would personally hate to see you go, I've enjoyed our talks and would miss you terribly."

Piper nodded sadly, finally tipping her head back, her hair fell back from her face to reveal her pale tear stained face. "Yes, I have been very hurt. It's.. well.. the reason I have been hurt. I won't reveal here.." She said her face scrunching up again. First Jack, then Nigel.. and now.. She wanted to get out of here. "When I leave, I'll be going home fore the rest of the term, and then next term I will be going back to my old school in America." She looked sad.. " I.. just can't be here anymore.. I'm tired of being ignored, and hurt and looked past like I wasn't there." She said with a bitter tinge to her voice.

Piper hugged Professor Dumont back as he spoke and she tried not to cry more. "I will miss you as well, I hope it wasn't to annoying for you.. me.. that is.. liking you.." She said softly, finally admitting it. "I hope we can meet later.." She said as she pulled back and made to leave the room. " Goodbye.." She said softly as she slowly walked out of the room.

"Goodbye, Piper. Good luck to you," Antonio said. So she really did have a crush on him this whole time. It was funny how he hadn't seen that himself, even though Jack did. Jack had good perception, but then, that was Jack. He had liked Piper, she was a nice girl, and he would miss her.

John knocked on the door and smiled he knew that the Professor would have been busy so he wouldn't have had time to go to Hogsmeade so he decided he would bring him some stuff for him and his daughter. He hoped the Professor was there the bag was very heavy as it was full to the top with things he thought that the Professor would like. "Professor Dumont are you there?" He called into the room.

"I think that's the most of any student that I've ever heard of in any one term. He's been in there a while, hasn't he?"
