Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.

As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.

On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.

On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)

Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

Jack nodded "Ok" he eyed Paris, he wanted her to go so he could speak to the professor freely.

Antonio promised himself that he would have a word with Jack in private as soon as he was able, it was obvious that Jack had something on his mind tht he wanted to discuss.

After getting on the wrong side of Dumont when the term had first started and being put in detention for it. John had realised he had been totaly wrong about Dumont and had decided a few days ago that he wanted to get to know more about muggle studies, like his brother Jose who had been a pupil of Professor Dumont, John had decided that he wanted to know more about Muggle Items, like how come a Playstation 2 go into that big thing they called a T.V he had always been interested in things like this. He wondered if the Professor would mind him asking a few question about Muggles stuff like that racing thing that on t.v. F1, he had decided that it was inpossible for them to go so fast and also how on earth did they have the money to buy things aparently an f1 front wing cost about £200,000 and that was just the front wing. Well there was only one way he was going to find out if the Professor would let him and that was to knock on the door and wait and see.

He knocked 3 times

Knock, Knock, Knock.

He waited outside the door and hope the Professor wouldn't mind that he had missed the last lession but unfortunaly he had been ill and so had to go to the hospital wing. He was sad that he had missed the lession but it couldn't be help. He realised that his hair was a bit messy so whilest waiting for the Professor to answer the door he took out the Comb from his bang and tided it up. Once he had finished he waited for the Professor to answer the door.

Jack sighed as another knock could be heard "It's John" he told him "Gah, don't you ever get peace" he asked annoyedly, he really wanted to tell the professor this thing. He slumped on the couch and muttered incoheretly to himself.

Antonio sensed that Jack wanted to talk to him about something, but figured he had no choice but to open the door and allow his brother to come inside for a moment. "Excuse me," he told Jack, and went to answer the door and admit John inside the room.

Jack nodded and rolled his eyes as the professor went to open the door. Sighing, he resigned himself to the reality that he wasn't going to get to talk to the professor now, some people would probably find it trivial, the thing that he wanted to tell the professor... but who cared... Jack was gonna say it anyway.

That must mean that he would have to support Jack all the way and try and understand why Jack is doing what he is doing. He thought hard as he remembered the last bit of the sentance. "You can't go through life avoiding everything and everyone that tries to tempt you then you do wrong." John finaly got what his thoughts were telling him. Maybe he should just give his brother a chance to make things up.

John realised that he had tried to distance himself away from Jack just because he had gotten three detention already and John thought it woud look bad if he hang around with him, now though he realised that he had got about it total the wrong way, he should have stuck by Jack no matter what. John looked at Professor Dumont and wondered what he must of thought of him. He was a coward and he hated what he had done to Jack maybe that was why Jack was in the room at the minute, he wanted to tell Professor Dumont what John had been doing.

Jack went to a chair and sat down and waited for Dumont to ask him why he was here but at the minute all John wanted to do was cry he wasn't that wise after all he had deserted his own brother when he needed him the most what was he a complete idiot and nothing anyone could say would make him change his mind.

Antonio saw grave concern written all over John's face. He looked like he was going to bust. "John, what's wrong?", Antonio asked. Whatever it was, it was obviously very important to John. He wondered if it had anything to do with Jack, and maybe that was what both boys wanted to talk about, really. They both wanted to talk to him about each other.

"I wish I had a brother that didn't act like the devil when he wanted to." He smiled as he said that to Dumont. "I hope you don't think I am cruel." He cried as he looked at Dumont was he a failer. "Have been a coward by not standing by Jack and doing the right think by sticking with him and doing what he wanted to do though they were wrong." He hoped the Professor would have the answers.

Of course she wouldn't get anything done with him there, but it would be nice to see him outside the castle walls. In the sunlight, where his hair looks like a a shiny new pair of Chanel baby doll shoes. She was going to burst. He was going to come to the game and watch her play. She was going to turn into a pool of green goo on his floor right then and there. "Oh Professor that would be..." She couldn't finish. her face was growing hot. Did someone turn on the sun all of a sudden? She felt like she was burning up and her face was blushing so deep she knew she must look like a tomato right now. "That would mean s much if you came and cheered me on." She finished trying to keep herself from blushing any deeper.

Her chest swelled as he promised to keep her in mind when he needed a assistant for his classes. She could picture herself standing right beside him, so close she could reach out and touch his robes. Her eyes glazed over at the thought. "Oh thank you Professor Dumont that would be so wonderful," She said not keeping the excitement out of her voice. "Oh yes I love muggles. They have some really cool things. Like fashion and shoes." She said. She spent half of her money on fashion. There was nothing better than walking out of store laden with packages and bags. She nodded she understood all that pure blood mania crap all too well. "Well my mom and dad love muggles. We used to live in a muggle neighborhood till Lucas was born and me and Willow had our wands and we were riding brooms and things. Then we had to move out into the country. But my grandmother is into all that purity of magic crap and I told her she could take that a put it where the sun didn't shine. Some of my best friends are muggles and they are perfectly fabulous." She told him with a nod of her head. "Well I went to a muggle primary school. Till I turned 10 and then I went to Arcane Magical Academy in Cairo. So I think that if we get a good balance of muggle and magical things as kids it will make it easier to be accepting of muggles." She explained.

She reached into her purse and pulled out the box that she had brought for him. "Since you mentioned ice cream during our last lesson I made this for you." She put the box on his desk. "Its a never ending box of ice cream. Just tell it what flavor you want it to be and it will be that till you tell it to stop." She told him. It took her weeks to work on that spell. She really hoped he liked it.

"You must not hate your brother, John, no matter what," Antonio said. "You two are twins, and I know it can be hard at times, but basically you two really only have each other at times, when push comes to shove, and you need to stay together. I am always there to speak to either one of you should you feel the need, but you really shouldn't fight and I hope you don't feel that way about Jack any longer. I know that he doesn't hate you, in fact, I think he is reaching out to you. Maybe you don't understand all of this, it's not easy to, but you two need to stick together otherwise you will fall."

Antonio turned to Paris. "Well, I know that they used to have an all star game at Hogwarts before the term started where some staff and some students played together, wouldn't it be great if they were able to do that again? And I agree, muggles are the most ingenious people you can imagine." He smiled. "And thanks so much for the ice cream. You are free to come and share it with me any time you like."

"That would be great if they started to do that again. That would be so much fun to see if you professors still had it," She grinned. It would be fun to get BunBuns up on a broom and knock her flat on her back and then toss her shoes into the lake. She giggled at the thought. "Necessity is the mother of invention they say. So they would have to come up with some great things to make up for not having magical abilities," She nodded.

She simply melted in her chair when he said she could share his ice cream with him. "Its a date," she said before she could stop herself. "Oh no, I didn't mean a date like what grown ups do. I meant like....nevermind." she mumbled as he face flushed again. That was so unlike her to slip like that.

Antonio didn't think anything of the choice of the word "date", he knew that Paris was a young girl who was used to being around the muggle world, and that this word was loosely used amongst the muggles to describe different things. Paris did seem to be trying to please him, but he supposed that was a natural way for a student to behave with a professor. He would have to keep an eye on things to see that they didn't get out of hand, though, he supposed, he had seen the way Jack was looking, the same way he had looked at Piper. "Yes, that would be very interesting indeed," he said.

Jack stared at the wall, tears were in his eyes, John had just... oh, this was too much... Jack stood up almost robotically and moved to the door

"I've already fallen, why should I drag John down with me?" he asked "Look, I'll see you later" Jack told them before opening the door, tears had already started to roll down his cheeks before he'd even got out of the door. He ran out of the door and down to the grounds

Ross walked up to Professor Dumonts office hastily and knocked on the dor 3 times before he stepped back again and waited for a reply.

Antonio heard a knock on the door and went to answer it. As he turned the doorknob he said, "Ross! Do come in." He held the door open a bit wider.

"Hello Proffesor" Ross said as he took as he walked past one of his favourit teachers into the room behind him and looking around he could see how mad this man was aboute muggle contraptions then his mouth hit te floor when he saw his all time favourite thing in the world. Looking at the old computer Ross tried to close his mouth but gave up and tried looking away but after a few seconds his head lookied around and there it was. It may have been a few years old but it was still a computer and Ross was determined to see if it worked.

Sadly Ross already knew the answer to that question as even he knew that muggle electronic items do not work inside of Hogwarts, otheerwise ross would have brought his laptop and his MP3 player.

Antonio smiled as he saw Ross glancing at the computer, and then noticed that he had an MP3 player and a laptop in his hands. "Ah, you like them, too," he said. "There's only one problem I'm having. You see, I've tried and tried but I cannot get these devices to work in here, because of the protections that have been placed around Hogwarts to prevent muggle intervention. I don't believe anything will work but it's still kind of nice to have them here to show to students."

Ross suddenly snapped out of his Daydream when Professor Dumont started to talk to him "Yes im a muggle born you see" Ross said as he finally became fully turned round and facing him "So i have grown up around these things and infact i think i have most of them in my house" He continued as he spotted a Toaster and a Washing machine in the far coner.

Feeling the pain of standing up for hours on end Ross took a seat on a nearby chair "Infact" Ross said "I am missing all of my little gadgets alot, especially my computer which i was on for like 6 or 7 hours a day before i came to hogwarts but now i am on it for like 13 hours during the summer holidays" he continued suddenly feeling guilty like he had confessed that he had done something evil.

"Have you ever tried taking them down to Hogsmeade and seening if they work there" Ross asked happy with himself at his own geniousness "And maybe if they work down there i can even show you how to work them and maybe if i am allowed ask home if i can get some of them brought here?" he continued as he stretched his fingers.

Antonio smiled. "You know, bringing some of this stuff to Hogsmeade might be a really good idea! As far as I know, these things might actually work there, as they don't have the same protective spells and charms placed on them as Hogwarts itself. Well, it's certainly worth a try."

Antonio thought a moment. "And you're a muggleborn. In a way you're lucky, because you've had the advantage of growing up around these things and using them. I wasn't so fortunate. You see, I'm a pureblood and I didn't know anything about the muggle world until I started going to Hogwarts myself. It was one of my fellow students here, a muggleborn, who showed me some of the muggle devices and told me what it was ilke. I became so fascinated with this that I decided to go and live in the muggle world myself and I did. I pretended I was a muggle and worked in their world for several years, so I've used things like computers and television sets myself. This is why I love these things so much." He smiled.
