| | |  Professor Antonio Dumont's Office
Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.
As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.
On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.
On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)
Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know! | |

Paris made sure not a hair was out of place as that he lips sparkled a special shade of the palest pink imaginable. She was wearing her favorite silver jersey dress and some lace up converse sneakers that came up almost to her knees. She took a deep breath and knocked on his door. She was so nervous to be so close to him and not faint and give herself away that she almost took off down the corridor after she knocked, but she stayed put.
She hoped he noticed how pretty she looked, she would absolutely faint if he said she looked pretty.

Jack jumped up and raised his wand as soon as there was a knock on the door, he started to walk slowly towards the door "Professor" he nodded, getting ready to unblock the doorway "Oh, it's just a girl, no harm intended, we're good" Jack said relieved before moving the chair

"Thanks," said Antonio. That was a real compliment, especially coming from Jack. He was pleased at how much he was developing as a person and learning how to interact with others. One day he would be a great man.
It had been a while, but Antonio heard a distinct knock on the door. "I guess I better see who it is," he said, and went to turn the door knob. "Hello, Paris," he said. "Would you like to come inside? We were just trying that muggle beverage known as Coca Cola." He smiled. Paris was wearing a very pretty dress and looked like she had taken great pains with her appearance, as if she were trying to impress someone. Antonio figured it must be some boy.

She heard two voices in the room and she was slightly annoyed. Couldn't she get a minute alone with Professor Dumont? She wondered if she would get in trouble for hexing who ever it was back to their common room.
She was brought out of her daydream when he opened the door. It was like the heavens opened up and an angel descended, and then he called her by her name again. It took all her reserve to not jump into his arms and suck her thumb. "Good afternoon Professor," she smiled as she walked into the room. "Oh I love Coke." She said sitting down in one of the chairs.

Jack frowned at Dumont "Whaaa?" he asked "Maturing?" Jack shook his head confusedly and smiled down at Sak, she was cute when she was asleep, John just looked ill, Jack glanced at John worriedly but kept silent to let Dumont and lover girl Paris talk.

Antonio almost laughed at Jack's reaction to his thinking he was maturing. He found the fact that he could read people's thoughts to be almost natural now, he was starting to get used to it, in a way. He was impressed by how responsible Jack could be, the job he was doing with his brother and the way he felt about Sakura were two excellent examples of that. There was a lot more to Jack than people realized.

Jack smiled at the professor, Dumont really seemed to understand Jack, It felt good to be understood, not having people running and screaming or thinking about brick walls, like Meredith and Jake, Jake ran and screamed, while Meredith tried to think about simple things, not realising he could hear everything, even if she tried to block him out, if he had a connection with someone, he was sorted, like Sak and John, he could hear them from far away, the professor was starting to become clearer aswell, Jack could hear Sak and John anywhere in Hogwarts, but the professor was about a floor above and below, if the connection became stronger, Jack would be happier, so he could keep checking in without bothering the professor.

Antonio was startled to find that he was growing so close to Jack, almost as if he had known him for a long time. Things had changed so much since the time when he and Jack had first met, it was kind of amazing, but he had always sensed that there was something there in Jack. Sakura stirred slightly. There were people speaking and it was so noisy. She blinked slightly before turning her head to look at the girl. "Pretty dress and I love the converse, the colours suit you well." She complimented the girl who she recognised as a fellow Slytherin. "Did you say that you're the Seeker on the Slytherin Team?" Sitting up slightly Sakura then decided to introduce herself. "I'm Sakura Takenouchi, first year and I'm one of the Beaters." She said while holding her hand out.
Sakura was still deadly tired and estimated that she hadn't been asleep for more than an hour, possibly less. She knew Jack wouldn't be happy that she hadn't slept for longer but she was a light sleeper and since everyone was talking how was she supposed to stay asleep?

"You have coke? I love coke." Sakura exclaimed happily before taking the cup and sipping slowly at the drink. She sighed happily, her throat was no longer dry and lets face it she was addicted to the stuff. "Thank-you." She smiled at Jack before handing the cup back to him.
She was relieved when he said she could sleep more soon. She was tired and when she was tired she got immature and generally acted like a cranky three year old who had missed their afternoon nap.
