Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.

As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.

On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.

On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)

Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

Jacks teeth dug into his robes as he closed his eyes, he let his arm drop, then he pulled his hand up and bit his thumb with one arm crossed "Just because we know who he is, it doesn't mean we are closer" Jack snapped, he had done it, he'd gone and let his mouth get the better of him, now all he had to do was keep his hands in his pockets or at his sides.

"That's true," Antonio said. "Claxy Claxton is one of the slipperiest and most elusive criminals of all time, so it isn't going to be easy. I really believe we are going to get him this time, though. Don't ask me why, but I just feel that way." Somehow, Antonio had a feeling that the missing piece of the letter would tell them to find the person who was responsible for the curse and deal with them, he didn't even need to have the letter there to tell him that much. "We are going to get him this time, I promise you," he said.

Jack groaned "Nothing is definite, not even the foretold future" Jack explained "Every decision we make changes the future" Jack told him, he walked over to the desk and leant on it, he needed to lean on something, at Dumont's last words Jack hit the desk, everything on the desk jumped from the force, Jack's face was pointing towards the floor but his eyes were on Dumont "Promise, I promise" he hit the desk again "You throw that word around way too much" Jack told him angrily

"Well, the thing is that I keep my promises," Antonio said. "I owe Claxy Claxton a debt as well. Because of him, my wife is gone forever. I understand you've been hurt by what he's done to your family, a lot of people have been hurt by him. But his day is coming, and it's coming soon."

Piper was watching Jack move about the room quietly, just watching him as he walked about the room, fuming about this criminal, she was still a little fuzzy on the details about what he had to with the letter. But she supposed she could figure it out. "Do you suppose we should split up and look for the letter? Or at least start?" She asked looking up at Professor Dumont.. "I was just wondering if we know where the letter isn't.. it would help our search." She suggested.

Jack shook his head "He's not the only reason" Jack said quietly, Jack knew more than Dumont it seemed.

Antonio looked at Jack, confused. What had he meant by that last statement? It didn't make sense, he was trying to help bring this creep to justice. Jack just seemed so hostile, so unwilling to let anyone in.

Jack sighed "She didn't leave just because of him" Jack shook his head "He's done more to me than you think" Jack explained, should he tell Dumont?

"I believe you," he said. "First of all, it doesn't make sense that you would destroy the letter. Now, this means that someone else knows about what we are trying to do, someone who doesn't mean well, and that's why they sent this letter, supposedly from you. Does anyone have any idea who might have done that, or why?"

Antonio touched the injured owl's wing with the tip of his wand, saying the word "Episkey".

"Why is obvious." Sakura said from her position near the door, she'd closed it but hadn't walked into the office fully. "Whoever is doing this wants us to mistrust each other. United we triumph, divided we fall. Think about it we all know that John has the letter and none of us know where it is, so only he could destroy it. IF we suspect each other it draws our eyes away from the person who is a real danger to us and from their actual plans. Plans that are certainly detrimental for everyone involved. What they didn't count on is that we would trust John or that he would have had that vision of Jose destroying the letter and us seeing the after-affects of it. He was obviously horrified, therefore we would never completely believe that he meant to destroy it. Whoever did this must have done it before those events took place, maybe even a few days ago and released Blinky is it? at this time as it seemed the most convenient. Jack has memory loss and therefore that might make him trust everyone less, John is obviously cut up about something, you are busy with work and I'm distracted with Jack's condition, Ruby and Scorpius being in St Mungos. They were trying to strike while we were all weak. When weak we tend to doubt others and their intentions towards us, or trust too blindly. As to who implemented it well I have no idea. However it would be someone in the family of the person who cursed their family, I think." Sakura finished her speech and took a deep breath.

Suddenly she remembered something. Turning to John she asked urgently, "Does Ruby know everything? Is she prepared for anything that might happen? I know that you know we aren't on the best of terms right now, even if you don't know why, but she is my cousin and I don't want anything to happen to her. If this person is targeting your family they most likely will target those closest to you. And you did tell Ruby that you loved her or words to that affect anyway so she would be a target wouldn't she? If they decided to take this further." Sakura endeavoured to take several deep calming breaths. She was getting too worked up with worry and was on the verge of hyperventilating.

Barry looked up, "This truely is complicated" he said. "So where could the letter be?"

"And Sakura be careful. Claxton isn`t the type of person you just go up to freely. Owl home and just tell them to be careful and don`t go off with strangers. Thats pretty straight forward, are your parents muggles?" he asked quitely this was strange, very strange.

"I'm not stupid, what I'm saying is that if he was to attack us we have to be ready for that possibility." Sakura then looked at Barry as if he was crazy. "Muggles? Ruby is a Malfoy and I'm her cousin. She's a Pureblood so how could my parents be Muggles? I'm a PUREBLOOD." Sakura stated proudly. Putting emphasis on the word Pureblood. "I know that Barry." Sakura said in a soothing tone of voice. "It's just I've always been taught to be proud of being a Pureblood. Although I lived in the muggle world for around 2 years at one point and I try to keep up with all the muggle technology. I even have muggle friends that I still see during the holidays when I can. I guess I was just offended that maybe my manners were implying I was less than what I am. In other words less than a rich stuck up Princess." Sakura gave a smirk when saying the last part.

When Jack put his arm around her Sakura could have started jumping for joy. It seemed different this time around. She guessed it was because this time there had been no-one to say that he definitely liked her or there was no him even remembering her from before today or was it yesterday? It seemed less sure but she also guessed that it made her more excited as it proved that he would like her basically however they met. Like that true love analogy thing she heard a few times. Snuggling closer to him Sakura said, "I try not to but it's hard."

She whispered just loud enough for him to hear. That was when she felt a weight that hadn't been there before around her neck. Looking down under closer inspection she found that it was a silver heart necklace. Gah. Glomping Jack she said, "I love it. It's perfect." She could not believe he had given her a gift that was so perfect when he couldn't even remember her and so therefore wouldn't even remember her likes or dislikes, but he had somehow still gotten her the perfect thing. Right now she was tempted to do a happy dance. Except Happy Dances were in no way dignified and she had probably already lost much of her cold mask so she would not lose her pride. She could just do the Happy Dance in her head.

He seemed happier, less troubled than he had before, even when they were alone. And when he sighed she was certain that it was from happiness. However there would be time to discuss that at a later date. Right now there were more pressing issues. That reminded her, she would have to talk to Ruby again at some point. She wasn't looking forward to it though.
