Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.
As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.
On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.
On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)
Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

Nodding in understanding as the muggle studies professor further clarified on the curse, Dominic was in a mix between disbelief and wonder that such a curse could tear a family apart. Why and how could this happen? Was there some hidden reasoning for why no Mosier boy would complete their education? What happened to make it so? This was slightly mind boggling, but nonetheless, Dominic just sighed in understanding. He would do whatever he could to find Liam's piece of the letter. "That's terrible," he murmured, trying to think of something more constructive to say. "Why anyone would do such a thing is beyond me, but well, you say Liam - the twin's older brother passed away while at Hogwarts? Any clue as to where he passed away? Perhaps the letter is there or in the Hufflepuff Dormitory somewhere?"
Dumont's smile brought Dom back to reality; oh right, he hadn't come here to discuss the twins or any of this, but ended up finding out more about housemates than he could have ever imagined. "Hmm? Oh right... what brought me here," the fifth year replied absentmindedly, as his hand slipped into his pocket, his fingers closing around the parchment. "Well, I did have something that I wrote in which I wished to share with you, but after all that you have on your mind, then I would understand if you wanted to decline reading it."

Sakura stayed silent during all the chaos, in fact she was getting slightly scared, John was seemingly having a complete breakdown which never meant anything good, Ruby wasn't feeling good either and Dumont's office was turning into something like a zoo. Great now she was getting a headache and John still hadn't answered the Professors question. Hmm the letter huh? Now that was an interesting subject. Turning to the boy Hufflepuff prefect she said, "The letter wasn't where he died, Liam drowned in the lake. Professor Dumont and the twins already checked there." Sakura was glad to find that she sounded a lot more confidant than she felt, however after that statement she went back to being quiet again.
"What's not true, John?", Antonio asked, fearful of what the answer might be. Had John seemed some disturbing vision of the future? He sincerely hoped not. They were going to have to find that missing piece of the letter, and soon!
Out of the corner of his eye, Antonio saw Piper come by the office again. He really wanted to have time to talk with her a little and see how she was doing this term. He sighed, realizing he had to settle all this chaos first and hoping he could speak with her soon. It would be a nice change from all this craziness which seemed to constantly be ensuing this term!
"Jose letter, destroyed it". Cried John as he looked at the professor. "But Jose can't can here." He then sat back, tears falling freely from his eyes. He was so sad, now what where they going to do, did this mean that Jose had the missing part of the letter, was that one of the reasons he wasn't back already, was he upset that he had pinched the letter, so many questions and who could answer them. He looked at the Professor and tried to control his tears but he couldn't. He just put his head in his arm and cried some more, he wished that Kaycee would come over to him.

Speaking gently she said, "Could you please repeat that but in English this time so we can all understand?" Antonio listened as Domnic finished. "No, no, I would love for you to read whatever it is you have on that parchment," he assured him. "I'm sure things are going to settle down in just a minute, and then I would really like to hear what it says, honestly! And thank you for agreeing to help hunt for that piece of the letter, I wish I could tell you where it might be hidden but the Hufflepuff common room or the boy's dorm may indeed be a good start."

John looked at the Professor, why wasn't he listerning. He managed to get the tears to stop for a few seconds, just enough to say. "Jose destroyed the full letter." He then started to cry again. "But how?" he couldn't help but cry now, he hoped that the Professor would come near him, he decided to look straight into the professor eyes. "I saw Jose with the letter and he was destorying it." With that the tears came think and fast again.
"John, why would he do that?", Antonio asked softly. "I'm sure Jose wants the curse to be broken just as badly as you and Jack do. That doesn't make any sense." He walked over to where John was standing and put his arm around him. "I can't figure out any reason that Jose would have for destroying any part of the letter, can you?" Antonio really wanted to get in touch with Jose now. None of this made any sense and was only complicating their quest.
"I'm sorry," Antonio told Dominic. "Please go ahead with what you wanted to read." Antonio hoped whatever it was, that it might be good for a laugh. He could use one right about now!

As Dominic was waiting to hear from Dumont as to whether he wished to here his sonnet, the young Slytherin spoke to him in regards to the letter. Sighing quietly, he nodded at her when she said it wasn't in the lake, the place where Liam had died. Oh Dom for once was grateful he had not been here during Liam's time, as that would have been a horrible tragedy to see that. "Oh ... well then, yes, perhaps we should search the Hufflepuff Common Room and Boy's D-" he paused and fell silent at John's outburst.
"He destroyed the letter!?" Dom repeated, flabbergasted as to why anyone would want to do that and as to why he would have obtained the full letter, when just a moment ago, they heard that one part was missing. That of Liam's. This was all peculiar and hurting Dom's mind.
"Oh sorry, Professor," the fifth year replied, turning back around to look up at the man, who mentioned he would love to read whatever it was on the parchment. There were a lot of people in here though and as Winters was one of them, the last thing Dom wanted to do was to read it outloud. "Um... well do you mind reading it to yourself?" he asked hesitatingly, handing the rolled up parchment to Dumont.

Antonio smiled as he read the parchment Dominic handed to him. "Very well done, very well done indeed." He said, just the tiniest trace of a smirk visible on his face. "I haven't read a sonnet quite like that in some time, I must say. Thank you for sharing it with me." Antonio had been right, he was feeling in a better humor already.
Kayla stood quietly and listened to all that was going on around her and now she could understand why John was so upset. But why would his brother destroy the letter? The only way to rid them of the curse and he destroyed it, maybe there was a reasonable explanation for it. Perhaps it was THE letter that John had seen him destroying.
She started to back slowly away from Dominic and Professor Dumont, intent on making her way to John and Sakura, when Denton handed the Professor something he had written. Curious to know what it was, she hesitated a moment...waiting to see what it was.
Kayla looked up at Denton, sheer delight written upon her face and her eyes twinkled with amusement. 'You wrote a sonnet?' she mouthed, as she tried her hardest not to burst out laughing. "Classic" she murmured, as she turned and walked into the office and sat on the other side of John.
Placing an arm around the first year's shoulders, Kayla patted him on the arm. "It'll be alright John, we'll work something out."

Dominic sighed in relief when the Muggle Studies professor didn't complain about him not reading it outloud. Nodding at Dumont, a small smile crept to his lips. "Thank you, Professor sir and you're welcome." He took the sonnet back from him and repocketed it for safekeepings as he still had another twelve professors to go to.

And without another word to utter, the fifth year disappeared from the Muggle studies professor's office almost as quickly as he arrived, and strolled off towards his next destination.

Sakura gasped surprised. "You said he had the full letter right? Well maybe that's what needs to be done to break the curse?" Sakura knew that was unlikely but still. "Or maybe it wasn't your brother at all. I know that you are a developing seer but you probably wouldn't be able to tell if someone was using Polyjuice. So maybe your brother wont be responsible, maybe it's someone else you need to watch out for." Sakura continued, hoping that the last part at least may help a little but sincerely doubting that it would.

After all, it's the only way your family have ever break the curse, so why would he do that?" Unless Sakura was right and somebody was using polyjuice potion and pretending to be Jose. Antonio didn't even want to think about that.

He couldn't decided which shoulder to cry on, but it the end he gave the Professor a quick hug and then cuddled upto Kaycee. "Kaycee, did you know Jose?" He asked, he remember his brother telling him about having an argument with someone with the name Kaycee. He looked at her still crying his eyes out. "What do you think?"
"I didn't know him well John" Kayla replied softly as she placed her arms around the first year and tried her best to console him. "We had a slight argument at the train station and well we didn't speak after that" she gave John an apologetic look. "I'm sorry that I can't shed any more light onto the situation."

"She?", Antonio asked. "She? Am I to take it that you hit a GIRL, Jack?" Antonio was having a hard time controlling his temper, and could understand why Jack had gotten detention. Why, it was a miracle he wasn't thrown out of the school!
