| | |  Professor Antonio Dumont's Office
Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.
As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.
On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.
On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)
Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know! | |

But at the time there was simply no one else around that seemed to be looking out for him, no one but his brother John, and Jack seemed completely out of control at the time. Not that he doesn't now." Antonio sighed. "In fact, I have a feeling that Jack may have gotten himself into even more trouble as we speak!" Antonio couldn't figure out why he felt this, it was just a really bad feeling he had.
Antonio heard not one but three knocks on the door. "It sounds like some people are very anxious to get in here," he muttered. "Like I said, this has been a crazy term, either that or people simply can't read signs. I would like our meeting to be finished before I answer it, that's only fair, don't worry. Whoever it is can wait a few minutes."

"Well I'll be sure to let the boys know that I am willing to help them as well. Liam was in Hufflepuff, as well so he might have left it somewhere in the common room" she shrugged it was a long shot but it was worth a try. Kayla nodded at Professor Dumont in regards to Sakura. "She is a smart girl though...just young. Might be a good idea for me to get better associated with her. Jack and she seem quite close, he most likely will tell her things he might not tell us" she sighed deeply at this whole confusing matter.
Upon hearing what the Professor said about Jack, she groaned inwardly. "I sincerely hope you are wrong there. Maybe I should take my leave for now and try and the find the little blighter before he does anymore harm. Unless of course there was anything else you wish to discuss?"

Ultimately, it will be up to Jack to turn things around, and all we can do is do our best to try and steer him in the right direction. Thank you for your time."
As Antonio walked Kayla to the door and took the do not disturb sign off, he found that there were indeed three people waiting for him outside. One of them turned out to be the other Hufflepuff prefect, along with Jack's brother John who was crying hysterically and a Slytherin girl who he didn't recognize. "Come on in," he told the group, holding the door open. It looked like another typical day!

"It's my pleasure" Kayla replied truthfully. "And please do not hesitate to call on me if you need any further help with this" she said as she got up and walked to the door with the Professor.
As he opened the door, Kayla was about to walk out when she spotted Dominic first and wondered what he could be doing here but brushed the thought away as soon as she saw John, who was sobbing his little heart out. Kayla hesitated and looked at Professor Dumont. "Would you like me to stay?"

Hearing Dumont talk with Winters was even more mind boggling than before. What in Merlin's name was he talking about? Helping with Jack in any way you can!? This was all just so very confusing.
Even more so when the door opened suddenly and Winters brushed past him, before doubling back at the sight of the young Hufflepuff. Hold it! She didn't think that ... it was him did she!? If she did, then wouldn't speaking with the Head of House done more good? Why didn't she just go and get him fired right now if she really thought he was making first years cry?
Bad timing.
"Um... Hello Professor Dumont," Dom finally spoke, albeit awkwardly and glancing nervously at Winters. "Kayla," he nodded approvingly at her, in light of politeness. "Professor? Do you er ... have a moment to spare?"

Sakura had arrived at Dumont's office slightly after John and Shana but had decided to stay back slightly, to see whether the Professor would open the door or not, when he did she simply walked closer to the door and asked "Professor may I please speak to you?" Something about trust had come into her mind and she decided to say, "Oh and I do trust you. I just don't say certain things in front of certain people. Besides, I can monitor normal people, people who wont read your mind to know when you're telling the truth or not." Okay maybe that was slightly petulant but whatever.

"Go inside Sakura, we will talk in a minute" she put her hand on the girls back and pushed her gently inside the office. Kayla, hoped that the Professor, didn't mind that she seemed to be taking over.
She could tell from the look on Denton's face that he was coming up with his own assumptions of what was going on here and although it might be fun to play on this, she knew that it wouldn't be fair to Professor Dumont. "I'll just go and see to John and Sakura, while you talk to Dominic, Professor" Kayla gave Denton, a small wink before backing into the office.

"Excellent idea, thank you again, Kayla," Antonio said. He was feeling more and more grateful to this girl, she really was a great prefect, he could see that. He wanted to explain to her that John and Jack were not ordinary students by any means, one had visions of the future and the other was able to read peoples' thoughts. Antonio had a feeling that either John had received another disturbing vision or he had somehow found out something out about his brother Jack being in trouble again. In any case, it wasn't good. And then, there was that disturbing missing piece of the letter, which he doubted that Dominic knew anything about. As he admitted the male prefect, he wondered if he should be included in what was going on, as well, after all he was a prefect as well and had a right to know. It was all very messy and complicated, but it might be worth a shot. He hesitated a moment before saying, "Ummm, Kayla, I think Dominic might need to know about what's been happening with the twins as well." He prepared for another long and involved explanation, hoping this would be the last one.

John was still crying his little heart out, He looked at Professor Dumont. "Tell me it's not true, please Professor tell me it's not true." John was so sad now he didn't know what to do, maybe he should just sit in the office and wait for the Professor to tell this boy what was going on. He looked at Kaycee and wanted to say something but in the end all he said was. "Tell me it's not true, someone tell me it's not true." He was so sad and now the tears were coming thick and fast.

It looked like world war five had broken out. "Perhaps I should come back another time?" She asked looking around at all the chaos. She sighed and frowned a bit, it seems this was going to be a very different term, alot would be keeping her from her favorite professor.

"What's not true, John?", Antonio asked, fearful of what the answer might be. Had John seemed some disturbing vision of the future? He sincerely hoped not. They were going to have to find that missing piece of the letter, and soon!
Out of the corner of his eye, Antonio saw Piper come by the office again. He really wanted to have time to talk with her a little and see how she was doing this term. He sighed, realizing he had to settle all this chaos first and hoping he could speak with her soon. It would be a nice change from all this craziness which seemed to constantly be ensuing this term!

Dominic blinked rapidly at looking from the first years to Kayla and back to the first years again. It honestly didn't really seem to make much sense to him and he just really hoped that Kayla didn't think any of this was his fault, since for once he was innocent in all this. But then she seemed to sense his urgency to speak with Dumont quickly and in quiet, thus offering to watch the others. "Yes, Professor," he turned quickly around. "That would be a great idea." Less people here, the better. Hopefully.
But then Dumont proceeded to tell Kayla something else before she could leave with the younger students. WHAT!? Know what about the twins?! This was all quite confusing to the fifth year. Frowning slightly, he sighed and narrowed his eyebrows - topaz shaded irises flickering between Dumont and Winters. OH!
"Um... What's been happening with the twins? What?" Dominic asked in confusion. Apparently this wasn't a simple visit after all.

Antonio looked at Dominic. "You don't know about the twins?", he asked in shock. By now, he thought the whole school knew what was happening with them. "Well, as male prefect, you probably should know what's happening, too. It seems not only do the twins have a special knack for getting in trouble, but they also have some special gifts, as well. I mean, gifts which go beyond those most witches and wizards possess." He was trying to keep this all simple, but it wasn't easy.

Kayla watched as the first years took a seat and she turned back to Professor Dumont and Dominic. Actually she didn't want Dominic, to know what was going on but as he was the other Prefect, she knew that he had a right to know what was happening with John and Jack. "Yes of course Professor, we should tell him" she agreed somewhat reluctantly.
She stood quietly as Professor Dumont explained to Dominic, the nature of the twins problems and for one crazy second she wanted to poke her tongue out at Denton and say 'see it wasn't what you were thinking at all' but she refrained from doing so.

She waved, and then mouthed " I'll see you later." At him as he tried to settle whatever was going on. She noticed two prefects were in there, and she knew that whatever was going on was pretty serious. She quietly backed out of the office, and hoped that he would be free later on. She really wanted to talk to him.

Antonio waved toward Piper, hoping she would return later to have a talk. He still wanted to have a chance to unwind after all this craziness, and her life seemed to be pretty levelheaded most of the time. That was exactly what he needed right now, some normality.
But back to the craziness for now. "Yes, as prefect you should know what is happening in your house," Antonio agreed. "To put it simply, Jack is showing early signs of having the gift of legilmancy, in that he can read people's thoughts. And John is showing promise of possibly being a future seer, as he has already had some rather disturbing visions which have actually come true. On top of all that, there is apparently a curse placed upon the family, a curse which we have been working to break. It involves four separate pieces of a letter, and all but one of them have been found. It won't be until we have found all four parts that the curse can finally be lifted from the Moiser family. Any questions?" Antonio was certain that there were bound to be questions, but he had tried to keep the explanation as simple and clear as possible to start with.

Dominic frowned and shook his head when the Professor seemed shocked that he didn't know of the twins. Was he supposed to know? Listening intently to him speak, he nodded in understanding ... oh, no wonder he was speaking to him about it! Getting into trouble and the twins were Hufflepuffs, weren't they? No wait, that wasn't the reason. Hmm...
"Special gifts?" he repeated, glancing back at Kayla, he eyed her warily as she seemed to agree reluctantly to him being informed as to what was going on. Oh yes, this wasn't a simplistic visit at all.
Then some Gryffindor girl whom he hadn't noticed at all was even there, decided to leave, which was probably for the best. Dumont turned back to address him and he listened up again, narrowing his eyebrows in confusion. Wait... surely he wasn't insinuating that he didn't know what was happening in his house, was he? Naw.
"Of course, but well, that's... interesting," Dom commented, feeling bad now about having to break the solemness with a silly sonnet that he had written just to shut an old man up. "So, we're supposed to help them find this missing letter part in order to break the curse, but we don't quite no where the letter is hidden, is this correct?" That really was his only question. Other than the one of asking to show him the sonnet, but maybe Dumont would decline, which would be up to him, of course...

"That pretty much sums it up," Antonio agreed. "We've got three pieces of the letter already. You see, there are four Moiser boys, were three, anyway, because one of them has unfortunately passed away. Each of the twins has a part of the letter, which we have, as well as their two older brothers Jose and Liam. Jose's part we have, he is living over in Holland right now. Liam used to attend Hogwarts, but he is no longer with us and we have no idea where his part may be hidden. Even though he was a Hufflepuff, all four boys are. They need to have all four parts of the letter so that they can end the curse which has been placed on the family, a curse which ensures that no Moiser boy shall ever complete his education. So far, that curse has come true, I'm sorry to say."
Antonio smiled. "Enough of that. You know everything now, but was there another reason which brought you here today?" He looked directly at Dominic, now curious.
