Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.

As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.

On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.

On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)

Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

John looked at the paper. "It says Liam hid the paper in a place with a thousand different views," he said. "What do you think that might mean?" He looked down at Jack, he had missed the whole thing as he was still passed out. Antonio knew he would come around very soon, but he was sorry that he had missed this chance to see his brother for a few moments, even if it was only the floo network.

Jack groaned a little as he came to, he immediately moved to sit up and fell back down again this time he hit his head, a small lump started to form as Jack saw stars in front of his eyes.

This was unbelievable, Antonio thought, he had never seen anyone more accident prone in his life. "Are you all right," he ran over to Jack. "Do you feel dizzy and can you see me clearly? Just hold still for a moment, don't try to move suddenly or anything. You've just hit your head and you need to stay calm and quiet for a few minutes." Antonio saw that there was a lump forming on Jack's head. He placed a bag of ice on it. "This should help with the swelling, for now," he said. "You might want to see the nurse later on about this."

Jack didn't move "Yeah, I feel dizzy, sick, disorientated and no I can't" he replied to Dumont "It hurts" he said stupidly.

"You might have a concussion," Antonio said. "I think I'm going to have to get you to the nurse's station to be checked out."

Antonio realized that there was no way that Jack was going to be able to walk to the nurse's station, so he proceeded to pick him up and begin to carry him towards the corridor to the third floor nurse's station. "Would you three like to come with me?", he asked John, Sakura and Cadence. "You might as well, I just want to get Jack's head checked out to make sure he doesn't have a concussion, and he may have to stay in the hospital wing for a little while. He should be okay after the nurse checks him out."

Jack felt someone pick him up, he opened his eyes "I have to stay?" he asked while trying not to close his eyes.

"No, we're going to have the nurse check you out and make sure you're okay," Antonio said. "You had a fall and hit your head and the nurse is going to check and make sure that everything's fine."

Piper walked into Professor Dumonts office, with a slight smile. She looked around to see a very pale boy who looked like he couldn't walk on his own. "Hello Professor Dumont, helping accident prone kids again?" She said with a soft smile. That had been her the previous year. Thankfully, she hadn't tripped or fallen yet.. But the year was still young.

"I just wanted to say Hi." Piper said as she looked around, " I could come back when you are less busy?" She asked looking up at the Professor, that still held a spot in her heart.

"Hello, Piper, how have you been?", Antonio asked. "Did you have a good summer and have you been keeping safe?" Piper had started last term the same way Jack had started this one, with an unfortunate accident and his having to take her to the nurse's station. He was happy to see her again, truth be told he had missed her visits.

Kayla made her way back to Professor Dumont's office, she hoped that the first years had gone and she could speak openly with the Professor. She knocked softly on his door and waited for him to answer. Hopefully they wouldn't have too many interruptions either otherwise she might suggest to go somewhere else.

Antonio answered the door to find Kayla waiting. "Excellent, Kayla, you are here," he said, holding the door open for her to enter. "Take a seat, I'll be right with you." Antonio produced a large "do not disturb" sign and placed it over the door, then closed the door and locked it. He didn't want any intruders to be bothering them while he was holding this private meeting, and he was sure Kayla felt the same way.

Kayla stepped passed the Professor and made her way into his office and took a seat. She watched as he placed a 'Do Not Disturb' sign and locked the door. "Thank you, Professor. I appreciate it, we have a lot to talk about so it seems."

"I believe you're right," Antonio agreed. "I think our chief order of business, though, are the Moiser twins, Jack in particular. I'd like to find the best way to help him as much as possible, since I believe he has real talent and potential. Both boys do, but I think Jack might need a little more work than John does." He laughed. "Is that what you wanted to discuss, or did you have something else in mind?"

"No you are right" Kayla agreed with a chuckle. "I want to help those boys particularly Jack. One, so they can find out all they can about their family and this curse and two, so they can stop getting into trouble" she looked at Professor Dumont seriously for a moment. "I get the feeling Jack, needs someone to keep a close eye on him, am I right?"

Antonio smiled. "Yes, Kayla, your perception is excellent. I think more than anything Jack needs a friend, but he also needs someone to keep him out of trouble right now. He seems rather accident prone, and sometimes his judgment about what's appropriate seems to be just the tiniest bit off." Antonio was trying to be very diplomatic about it, but it was a fact. "He has John, of course, and Sakura seems like she is willing to devote time to him, which is good. Do you have any suggestions for anything else that might help, any other ideas?"

Kayla nodded in agreement. "Yes he has his brother but I get the feeling John, tends to be..."how could she put this..."not embarrassed by his brother but a little annoyed by his antics I suppose you could say. And yes while Sakura, does tend to be looking out for him but she is only eleven and at that age you tend to find yourself influenced by your friends more than what is right" she sighed deeply, this was quite a dilemma.

"I can look out for Jake, as much as I possibly can. He seems to need that authorative figure to keep him on the straight and narrow so to speak" she chuckled a little, thinking how all of a sudden she seemed to have matured. "I'll do what I can for him but I can't be there 24/7 either. Do you need any help in regards to finding this letter?"

Antonio smiled. "I appreciate that, Kayla, I really do, and I know you have a lot of things to take care of as a prefect. There are only two of you, of course, and the two of you have to be responsible for all the other Hufflepuff students more or less, making sure that they get their homework done and staying out of trouble. I think maybe we can both work together on watching out for young Jack, though I really don't have the time I wish I had to devote to watching him, what with teaching and grading reports." After that statement, he sighed. "Well, anything you can do is appreciated. And the letter. All we know about it is that it was left somewhere on the Hogwarts grounds and that it's not in the lake, we already exhausted that possibility, thankfully we won't be going back there again. Jack seems to be a bit, ah, accident prone."

"Well I guess two people looking out for him is better than none" Kayla replied with a small smile. "And yes he does seem to be rather accident prone...something I will definitely watch out for." Kayla listened as Professor Dumont spoke of the letter and she leaned forward in the chair. "Do you have any clues as to where it could be?"

Kayla sat quietly for a moment going over the question that she had been wanting to ask him but not quite sure how to broach it. "Ah...professor, Sakura doesn't seem to trust you very much. Do you happen to know why that is?"

Dominic decided he would begin the indoor Professors with the Professor of Muggle Studies, since for one, he knew the man. And two, Dumont did seem to be quite nice the few interactions they had over the course of the past year or so. Sure he met Truebridge in the first lesson but that didn't mean the fifth year knew a thing about him; best to start with someone known semi-well as opposed to little at all.

About to knock on the door, the fifth year raised a brow as he couldn't help but notice the markings on the nameplate. 'Peeves wuz heer'!? What in the name of Merlin was that about and WHO was Peeves!? Obviously someone that couldn't write or spell judging from the sarcasm and clear vandalism of Hogwarts property.

Sighing, he shook his head and knocked for the Professor to allow him admittance. Hopefully this would be quick and painless.

Kayla heard the knock on the door and she did her best to hide her impatience, the sign on the door clearly said 'do not disturb' she had seen the professor put it up herself.

"Must be important Professor" she said hinting that anyone who would ignore the sign must be in dire need of the professor. "Maybe you better answer it." Well for their sakes it had better be important otherwise Kayla Winters, was going to one unhappy prefect indeed!

John didn't know how he got to Professor Dumonts office but somehow he did. He was in tears and so he didn't realised that there was already a Hufflepuff there, he knocked on the door, not seeing the do not disturb sign. He hoped that the Professor wouldn't mind he needed to speak with him urgently, and if Kayla was there then that would be even better. He waited and tried to stop the tears but couldn't stop them completely.
