Barry nodded to Jake, but then the ghosts apeared. "They`re clearly not listening, too smart to spill the beans, but Peeves and Myrtle, they`re not, Myrtle is just a teenager, even as a ghost and Peeves doesn`t listen, our best chance would be Myrtle if we need totalk to a ghost, but still..." he then walked over to Jake and whispered "Lets follow them they won`t know if we`re quite, they can`t be invisable and they might just say something" Why Jake he wasn`t so sure, but no one really listened to Barry.

Lyra's eyes looked to Paris who stated something about Myrtle and not calling her in here. OY! Was this ghost just as bad as Peeves? Peeves she knew to not provoke and she knew to not even say his name, even though he was not a ghost at all. Her eyes watched as the Grey Lady and the other ghost made their way away from where the lot of them stood.

Great! A secret mission and how dare they not speak around the uninformed. If this place was such a secret why were there so many people in here anyway and why was it so easy to find, as if it just appeared. She was not leaving this room until someone picked her up and carried her out, but not without a fight.

He just ignore me! If there was one thing Paris hated more than knock off designer fashions, it was being ignored. She gritted her teeth and stalked away from the ghost. Every time she went out of her way to be nice to someone they always spat it back in her face. Well if the wanted to see my bad side they are going to get it, she thought. She was done with being nice. The Bloody Baron was the only ghost around her with some class and the only one that she was every going to converse with again, the rest of them...wells he had a special place she wouldn't mind sending them too.

She folded her arms across her chest as Lyra stared at her. She was in a bad mood and it was only going to take the slightly provocation and she was going to explode, and Lyra was as good a person to explode on as any. "Why are you looking at me?" She asked nastily.

Lyra's eyes narrowed. It was a shame that the girl spoke loud enough for her Slytherin Head of House to hear the nastiness in her voice. She smiled her little sly smile as once again, this girl was asking for trouble and she was coming to the wrong person to achieve her mission.

"Because I can," she answered just as simple as that and without the nasty attitude that Paris had assumed. There were professors in the room and she was NOT about to loose points over this snake. She was up in her House and she was going to keep it that way.

Jake looked up at Barry. He wanted to know, and he was so desperate to hear... but he couldn't leave, he just didn't want to.

"I understand what you're saying..." he nodded. "But I..." Jake thought of the best excuse... "They wouldn't like it..." They being everyone else in the room, who could clearly deck the pair of them.

Of course, after Freya had just left things started to get interesting. She walked silently back to the portrait, having heard more voices chatting, and crept through the entranceway. Freya walked down to the end of the short passageway and to where the room had opened up and stood silently next to the wall.

"Please don't leave," Abby yells. "We just want to help you with whatever it is has brought you back to Hogwarts. We mean you no harm, but strange things are happening, and no one seems to know why. If you know will you please enlighten us? Sir Nicholas, Miss Ravenclaw, at one time you were Gryffindor and Ravenclaw's house ghosts. I imagine you took good care of the students that were here at Hogwarts then. All we're asking is that you help take care of us now. We don't want anything bad to happen here. You must know something about the Mirror of Erised. Why has it suddenly returned?" Abby doubts her speech will do much good. Sir Nicolas and the Grey Lady seem determined to keep everyone in the dark.

Pausing just outside the doorway, the Grey Lady turned slightly towards a girl that had rattled off a pleading speech. "It is not our story to tell." She simply replied before floating out into the hallway, moving quickly. They had to convene with the other ghosts.

Cale sighed and rolled his eyes as the ghosts left without a single word. Well, FINE. If they were going to be that way, Cale would just find out what was going on all by himself. Well, not totally by himself, probably with the help of other human people. They obviously didn't want anyone to know what they knew, which just annoyed the Gryffindor Prefect. Even if the Grey Lady said it wasn't there place to tell them, it still bugged him. Gah.

"Well, I guess they're not going to say anything to us," he muttered. "But I think maybe Myrtle would give us some information if we could find her," he suggested. He looked at Anna and Lyra and raised an eyebrow. If only they could track down that giggly ghost, they might be able to get some answers.

Abby looks at Ray. At least she knows more than she did before. The ghost are responsible for what's going on at Hogwarts. Someone else is over them, but who could that be.

She saw her narrowed eyes. Good, she was getting a rise out of her. Paris' smile matched Lyra's. "Well its nice to know you find me so fascinating." She smiled sweetly. "I can pose for a portrait if that would help." she offered.

Her attention was pulled from Lyra as some girl pleaded with the Grey lady not to leave and explain what was going on. She stopped to hear if she would tell them what was going on, and of course she didn't.

She really didn't want to find Myrtle. "Would she really tell us?" She asked Cale, she would put up with myrtle if she told Paris what was happening around the place.

Anna's jaw dropped and she let out a frustrated sigh. The ghosts had left, and no one had learned any additional news about the mirror. "No, it doesn't seem like they are going to say anything to us," Anna remarked. "I wonder whose place it is to tell us. None of the professors seem to know anything either." Anna stared back at the mirror, looking at it long enough to compose her thoughts and then looking away. She was in no mood to be fooled by its tricks right now. "Any other bright ideas?" Anna asked, looking at both Cale and Lyra.

Hmm...Lyra's eyes ventured towards Cale as he spoke. She raised one eyebrow matching his and smiled slyly. "The last time you saw her was...the Prefect bathroom?" If her memory served her right, Myrtle was one that would always be somewhere within a bathroom, or at least somewhere she could at least splash her way out of the vision of others.

"Well, we could..." she paused as she lowered her voice. "We could make our way around. I don't know if I could get into the Prefect bathroom but, it's worth a try to at least find her." She patted Cale on the arm as if she were congradulating him on a job well done.

Cale shurgged at Paris. "Well, she told us about this place--I have a feeling she's the most willing out of all the ghosts to devulge any information about this to us students," he explained. He pushed a curl out of his eye and then turned to Lyra. "Yeah, you can't get into the Prefect's Bathroom, but I bet we could find her floating around normal bathrooms too. I mean, she likes to play around with toliets, which is weird enough on it's own--she's probably lurking in other faucets and stuff too," he suggested.

He turned to the three of them and sighed. "So, should we try and find her?" he asked.

Jake spoke up to the people closest to him. "So the Grey Lady says that it's 'not her story to tell'," he said. "So... it must be someone's... Like you said, Myrtle is most willing to tell... Myrtle will let it slip, I mean to say, from what I've heard, she already has revealed what could be considered as too much information..."

Buuuuut... I suppose a leeeeettle stalking wouldn't go amiss... teehee.

Maybe he'd look around the place himself... cue shifty face on Jake's part.

For another moment, Paris made Lyra giggle once again. That was the side of Paris she liked, the confidence and playfulness not the nasty 'I'm better than you' side. "If I only had my camera, I'd snap a picture for both of us...dahling," she giggled turning back to Cale.

DARNIT! She thought maybe they would give her the password, after all, Harry Potter got the password out of Diggory, but then again, they were not Hufflepuffs. Hmmmmmmmm.

"I say we should find her but let's wait a few moments to see if the professors know anything as well. I mean, we could go on this wild goose chase only to know that they had the answer all along and we were too impatient to wait for them." Wait! Was that just a...HUFFLEPUFF thing she did? WHOA! It was! Wow!!!!!

"Well I am up for it," Paris said to Anna and Cale, totally ignore Lyra.

"Come on with us Jake. We are on a mission and we need all the eyes and ears we can find." She told him. She was over the little spat they had hd earlier.

Barry nodded to Jake "We should all stalk a ghost as it were, they will let something slip, but not the lady, shes too smart, the baron perhaps, will Myrtle even know? And Peeves isn`t even a ghost" he said "Oh and if were going to follow them now is the time" and he moved towards the door but not completly out.

For the first time since Myrtle blurted out Dumbledore's secret hiding place, the Grey Lady was pleased to see the room void of any students. Still not trusting the students, she put up a temporary barrier that would keep them out until she or one of the other ghosts lifted the spell.

"Dear, me. This relic is smeared with human finger prints," she said sadly.

"Yes, I'm afraid they've been all over this room. Every time I've passed by the place has been completely filled with both students and staff alike, all staring mindlessly at the mirror," Nick sighed. "Why must Myrtle blurt out every secret we have?"

"She loves to be the center of attention," the Grey Lady replied solemnly.

"She certainly does," agreed Nick. "Well, perhaps now we might finally be able to accomplish what we need to do and try and undo some of the damage which Myrtle has caused."

"Now listen here, lady," The Baron continued his tirade from the Spirit Room, "Who the bloody hell made you queen of the castle? We didn't even discuss a course of action."

He looked around the room, surprised that none were in. Perhaps....this night was fated to be?

"You pompous fool! All of us trusted Dumbledore and he said it wasn't needed," the Grey Lady said and looked at the others. "Remember? I'm not going to spell it out because it was the one conversation where Myrtle wasn't invited. However, it is needed now because Dumbledore isn't here."

The Baron folded his arms over his chest and grumbled, there had to be another way, Dumbledore hadn't felt the need. Unfortunately, Dumbledore had continued on, and none of them hadn't any other answers. He nodded his head once in agreement, or perhaps defeat. He had no other ideas, and this was one option they did have. With a sigh, and a pang, he slid out of Lady's way.
