"Actually Mr Masterton has been acting weird, he wanted me to climb a tree with him in the bamboo forest. I declined of course but he climbed one anyway and then fell out of it" Kayla looked at Celandine and smirked. "The only ones who don't seem affected are yourself, Professor Morgan, Professor Truebridge and as Cela said the nurse and the librarian."

"Professor Forrester tried to duel with the whomping willow as well and the nurse was acting a bit strange too the last time I saw her actually, but I don't know if thats normal for her," she added.

Raiden stood quietly near the wall, watching the space fill up with students who suddenly appeared from nowhere and ghosts who seemed to have the same habits. The calming draught was slowly kicking in, and he was feeling more and more mellow. Indeed, he was less inclined to up and run for his life now than he had been a short while ago, when they'd been locked in here.

"Looking closer?" he said softly, something the Fat Friar had said catching his attention. As the Ghost removed himself from the mirror, Raiden stood and stepped closer to the mirror. What would looking closer have to do with anything? Surely... the image in the mirror wouldn't change, if you stood closer? He frowned and leaned towards it, his calming draught helping him to not be bothered by the dream that danced before him. His nose very nearly touched the glass. "Sir, what did you mean by 'unless they wanted to see themselves closer'?"

As far as he could tell, his image wasn't changing at all, no matter how close he was...

Via listened at the other students as the crowd at the portrait grew. Teachers acting odd, she thought, well, yes. The other Professors were acting really odd. And they are right, it's like they wanted to be kids again.

She was along with many other students now, including the ghosts. She didn't have time answering her cousin's question. She just hoped, Spence would find the answer herself.

When Via didn't answer Spence looked around herself. That was when she realized the teachers were acting really weird.

Helena was purposely late. How could she have been so very wrong about the adults at the school and how will he react to her overzealousness? Finally she floated through the wall and over to Kazimeriz's side. "Dearest Valon, please tell me how bad it is," she pleaded somberly with her ghostly hands covering her mouth. "I didn't mean to."

She looked over at the Ravenclaw ghost as she finally arrived at the party. It seemed all the other ghosts were waiting for her to arrive anyways. She didn't mean to what, Paris thought. "I'm sorry Ms. Ravenclaw, but you didn't mean to what?" She asked her respectfully.

"I thought I was protecting our treasure from evil hands," she wailed. "I didn't mean any harm." Helena looked over at the Friar. "Will you tell the children your story? I only whispered parts of it to my dearest Valon."

"Treasure?" Anna questioned, glancing at the mirror. Was she referring to the mirror, or was this some other treasure? "Are you referring to the Mirror of Erised, Lady Ravenclaw?" Anna shook her head, confused as to what the Grey Lady was attempting to confess to. Anna could gather that it had something to do with the professors and their wacky behavior, though she didn't know exactly what. What she did know, though, was that seeing the professors first hand and having them in the little room would help tremendously. "I tell you what, I think what we need is proof...solid evidence," Anna said, looking over at Paris. "Paris? I need your help..." With that, Anna turned and left the room.

Tobi stared at the Ravenclaw ghost, who had finally made an entrance. He figured now would NOT be a good time to flap his gums so he just kept quiet and waited for SOMEONE to explain what the heck was going on!

She was about to ask some questions too when Anna distracted her. She looked over at her not really knowing that she was in the room. She had only been stalking the Blood Baron. "Need my help," She repeated as Anna left the room. What was that about? She turned and ran out of the door after her. "Wait!" She called to as she tried to keep up with the Gryffindor.

Reaching the portrait, Cela was glad to see it was still open and she skated in, not quite out of breath. She dumped the pile of candy in front of the mirror, being careful not to look at the reflection, and hoped that Paris would catch up. She looked around at the room's other occupants and shrugged.

Meanwhile? Cela opened a chocolate frog and waited. At least she had candy now.

Kayla ran down the corridor and flew inside the room with the mirror. "Merlin's pants you are fast on those skates" she panted as she bent over and placed her hands on her knees trying to catch her breath. "Think our little ruse will work?" She eyed the chocolate frog in Cela's hand but said nothing about it, she wasn't in the mood for having an argument with Cela right now. Besides Cela always did as she pleased and anything Kayla said was going to go in one ear and out the other.

Seconds later, Anna entered the room, happy to have made it back before the professors did. Now, all they needed was for Paris to get in here with that candy before all the professors could arrive! Anna glanced toward the door, hoping to see Paris run through it at any moment. Hopefully, if everything worked out the way they'd planned, Professors Vindictus, Bunbury, Forrester, and Lupa would be along shortly, as well.

In the meantime, Anna followed Cela's lead and pulled out the cauldron cake she'd snagged from Paris before running off. Hopefully the evidence, aka professors, would arrive soon!

She tumbled into the mirror room right after Cela. The only reason she had beat her because she had a head start and those darned shoes. She was waiting to see if Cope or Kayla and Robert were going to catch up with them. "Your welcome," She told her with a smirk as she watched her eat the chocolate.

She looked up at Anna. "You only beat me because you got a head start remember that," She told her with a evil glint in her eye and a smirk on her face.

"I made a detour and got extra candy." Cela told Paris quietly, unable to resist scooping up a sugar quill from the pile and sucking on it. She could go soon... oh noes! What about the niiffler/ groundskeeper?

Kazimeriz's normally pallid, wrinkled cheeks pinked up slightly- for but a moment- before he regained his composure. "I am afraid the situation has gotten quite out of hand, my dear Lady. Perhaps it would be best if another course of action were taken now, and we can attempt to remedy the situation before it gets any worse? You know I would never betray your confidence, dear Helena... I leave it to you to decide what of your story is revealed." His eyes twinkled uncharacteristically as he smiled and bowed to her slightly, ever the gentleman in her presence. As it always was; so it always would be.

"Excuse me professor Kazimeriz!" Celandine gave a quick little curtsey to the grey lady. "Professors Bunbury and Lupa were fighting and Professors Vindictus and Forrester were placing bets and they think there is a candy mountain down here so they might come... I tried to make a mountain but that's all I have and I can't cast a strong enough Geminio and they might not come down but I hope they do and Professor Masterson is a Niffler!"

It was ridiculously obvious that Cela was hyper on sugar. She had the jitters to an exteme level.

Via listened. The treasure... from evil hands? The story? Sweets... she gasped silently.... she was fighting the urge to grab some. Those were for the teachers she told herself. She had a stock of sweets up at the tower either....

Niffler? Via was trying to keep track of everything... She heard Professor Vindictus singing and professor Forrester telling him about riding the banisters down at stairs.

If she could cry, Helena would have at that moment. She reached out and caressed Valon's cheek with her hand. "Oh, Valon," she sighed and turned to face the students in the room.

"I remember the day Dumbledore placed the Mirror of Erised in here for safe keeping after brave young Harry Potter saved the Sorcerer's Stone from falling in the evil clutches of Voldemort." It was simple but it was at least a starting place. "Gradually, the Mirror became legend and was only found in the pages of history books, but us spirits of the castle knew about it including those who regained their physical form. It was then that we began to fear that our secrets would be revealed to those who meant to do much evil." The Grey Lady paused in her story.

"Our secrets - the secrets of this school must always be protected. My mother and her friends trusted our humble Friar to record the original history of Hogwarts as well as other secrets that must remain just that - secret." She smiled slightly and bowed her head. "Our presence was no longer needed after the great battle and so we faded away behind the stone walls of this castle that we so lovingly call home. Then one day, four stones were brought together as four Houses united in a task. Thus, we reappeared before human eyes for the first time in many decades. However, do not blame my friends - they told me I was foolish for assuming that evil deeds were about to occur at the hands of the adults and then the Mirror's location was revealed."

"I panicked and convinced my friends to help protect our dearest treasure. They obliged and even the Baron danced with me on that fateful night. But alas, you have seen the effects of this spell. I can rectify this - this mess I've caused." The Grey Lady turned to Kazimeriz. "Valon, do you forgive me? I was only trying to do what I thought was right and never meant to harm the innocent."

Oh, if only he could touch her hand to comfort her! "Dear Helena... You know that I would never believe your motives to be less than pure. You of course have my forgiveness, if any is desired, though I do not think you acted in poor judgment. Far from it, in fact... and may I say, I greatly admire the workmanship that went into your magical device! However... " he eyed Celadine-hopped-up-on-SHUUUUGAAAAARRRR!!!!!, "as it seems we may soon be visited by the afflicted, perhaps you could help restore them to their former selves? It seems we have many affected professors, and I believe your treasure is not in jeopardy at their hands. You may have judged correctly that it is in jeopardy... But not from the masters of this school, my dear."

"I shall do what needs to be done, my dear." Helena floated over to where she had cast her original spell and her ghostly lips moved in silence as her hands made an upward scooping motion. A faint lavender glow arose and vanished. "What was done has been undone, now let the remedy take hold." She reached upwards with her hands and moved them about in a fluid, circular motion. A pale tangerine light appeared between her hands and she placed it before the mirror.

"Bring your beloved professors to this room and beckon them to touch the glow. Once all who have been afflicted pass, this glow will cease to last."

Helios had been stalking around the mirror for what felt like days. People kept gathering, but noticed few gave more than a passing glance to the object itself.

"There was a moon stone in the Hufflepuff room.." Helios finally spoke up, albeit in a quiet voice.

Were things finally coming together? Like threads in a grand tapestry wove tight. The teachers behavior, the ghosts return. He was too focused on the current term to remember about the mysterious stone from the end of the last one.

That was it! Barry was filled with joy. All that had happened in the past three terms now all came together..... the treasure was the mirror, the hunt must have been only to free the ghosts so that they could tell them the treasure. The grey lady had thought to protect the treasure and so the side affect was what happened to the professers

"But why wern`t all the professers affected?" asked Barry before he knew it, all questions must be answered after all.

"Actually I have the moonstone" Kayla spoke up from her position behind Professor Kazimeriz. "I was the one to take it from the room last term and I have placed it in a safe place. She turned to the Grey Lady and inclined her head slightly. "Should I go and get it?"

Kayla looked at Barry and raised an eyebrow. "It was only the Professor's who looked in the mirror that were affected. Obviously the other Professor's haven't been up here to this room." So now they knew why they had all been behaving like raving lunatics. What a bummer that it was about to end because Kayla rather enjoyed watching the adults run around the castle acting like pre-teens.
