Dominic heard the professor telling them they could start on their confounding potions and he had just finished transcribing the list from the board to his parchment, when something the whiny, sobbing, HUGE baby of a Runes Professor caught his attention. Professor Shackleton? Mean!? Seriously, if Hogwarts could find anymore D-R-A-M-A-T-I-C professors, then it would be a miracle. Between Lupa and Bunbury however, the drama department was quite covered. Perhaps they should start a Drama CLASS and produce little drama queens? Ha; the fifth year was likely to drown himself in the lake if that ever happened.

Shaking his head, he chose not to act on Lupa - little attention drawing brat - and instead measured out 500 mL of water to bring to a boil in his size 2 pewter cauldron.

That the person will be confused still? There were many, many easier ways to do so than by using this potion. That's for sure.

And....she sighed, Kaika didn't like it when Potions was interrupted, this was a class she enjoyed and tainting it was not at all good. Not to mention that it was not an emergency, just something random from the Ancient Runes Professor.

She started the fire to boil her water, in her cauldron, to make her potion.

Darn. He was good at practically everything, but he wasn't so sure about this comforting thing. This might have to get tossed in the sme category as finding his way through buildings. He pat her back and gave up trying to get to the door. "There. There. Now tell me what happened? I'm sure you must have simply misunderstood and you're actually causing quite a scene right here in my class." Hmm... maybe he shouldn't have said that last bit...

How could Plymouth brew a potion when there was some serious distractions going on up front. He pulled his legs up under his rear so he could be taller and see better. Plymouth was rubber-necking from his desk. "Maybe she had a Confusing Potion thing," he offered.

Abby laughs so hard she almost knocks her cauldron over. "I don't think Professor Lupa is confused about a thing," Abby says under her breath. "I think Professor Bontecou will probably use that excuse if he gets caught by say Professor Kazimeriz." Abby smiles as she puts her jobbrknoll barbs in the water. She starts stirring clockwise hoping Professor Lupa doesn't say something to mess up her counting.

Once the water is boiling, Liz starts adding the jabberknoll barbs.

Catching part of what the hufflepuff girl, said about professors Lupa and Bontecou, Liz snorts a little, but tries to turn it into a cough.

Trying to keep her eyes from watering with tears of laughter, she starts stirring clockwise 12 times.

Copernicus set his water to boiling and glanced at the gossiping students around him. "I'm sure that Professor Bontecou can do as he pleases without our commenting on it." He watched his flame until the water was bubbling, then added his barbs.

Switching to counterclockwise after the 12 stirs, Liz realizes that Copernicus is right in front of her.

"Umm, you didn't see her in arithmancy...it was kind of, well... interesting." she whispers with a light laugh.

Waaaaaaaaiiiiitttt......What? Jobberknoll feathers? But it was such a cute bird...yes, the snidget was gorgeous, and golden, just as a Huffie...but the Jobberknoll was of a pretty blue color....

Was she going to get all defensive on creatures now? Getting feathers out of it was probably not hurting the birdie...but she forgot about that for a second as she went over to get the rest of the ingredients. The 2 barbs of feathers included.

"See?" Less said ignoring most of what Pepe was saying... after all the students were gossiping about her. "They laugh at me! And it's all the MacShackAttack's fault! She hates me! Cause I took points off her precious little house." She sniffled trying to control her tears. "I should take off more... She says my questions are useless... I'm a professor!" and she sobbed again into his robes.

No one had ever actually confirmed her this –not directly at least- but for quite some time now, Willow had come to the conclusion that the ninety eight percent of the Hogwarts’ professors were out of their minds. And Lupa was no exception to that, judging by how she had bursted into the classroom before sobbing on Bontecou’s robes.

First, the girl wondered if Lupa was friends with Pinky Bunbury; two loonies would get along just fine, right? And then, she wondered if one of the things that Bontecou checked before hiring a professor was if they were crazy. And clearly, if they were, he hired them!

And to think they were the ones in charge of educate them. “Professor, Bontecou,” said the girl quietly, raising her hand, “Perhaps you should slap her. I’ve read that when someone goes into shock, or is behaving sort of like Professor Lupa is, a good slap is good for them. You know, as in it helps them to get back to their real selves.” She shrugged. Really, she meant well. Mostly.

Wrinkling her nose –because Willow Kovac did not like tears- the girl proceed to set her water to boil, and then separated the barbs from the shafts of the joberknoll feathers.

Ok so boil water. Any nincompoop could do that and so Barry lit his fire with a quick "Incendio" and then removed the barbs and shafts from the fether. He wasn`t exactly sure what that was but he just copied the others and put the "barbs" into the cauldron and started stiring how the others did it.

It was obvious that even with practice Barry was hopeless at Potions.

Rachel jumped as the door slammed open. Gasping and clutching her fast beating heart, she turned to see none other than the tear stricken Professor for Ancient Runes standing in the doorway. What in the world...? Blinking rapidly as she tried to grasp the situation, she watched as Professor Lupa threw herself on top of the Headmaster and called him... er, Pepe? What is going on? Frowning in confusion, she wondered whether she should go help when the Headmaster seemed to react and told them to begin working on their potions.

Still puzzled, she copied down the instructions quickly on a piece of parchment, carefully checking that she had copied the text down correctly:

Sifting through her potion kit, she pulled out the necessary ingredients and put them on the table neatly. Frowning slightly at the table, she felt as if something was missing. Ah ha! Shaking her head at her idiocy, she grabbed both sides of the cauldron and heaved it up onto the desk, filled it with water and cast a fire beneath it. Bawling Professors aren't helping my concentration.

As she prepared her ingredients, she couldn't help but overhead the Professors' conversation. What she heard made her even more confused. Professor Shackleton? Mean? Who does Lupa think she's kidding! Rachel loved the Arithmancy teacher, and it wasn't just because of the subject she taught. Biting her lip in anger, she added the jobberknoll barbs to the quickly boiled water and stirred as instructed, calming herself down with the motions and trying to ignore the noisy sobbing professor.

Feeling like she was getting the hang of the stirring after the third time, she allowed herself to relax and listen to other people's conversation. She frowned as a Hufflepuff girl made a rude comment about the Professors and fumed at the Ravenclaw girl as she snorted. Opening her mouth to say something, she shut it again as a Ravenclaw boy beat her to it - Copernicus, I think; Cela's friend. Next time though, I will say something.

Leading her eyes back to the direction of the crying, she was appalled to find that Professor Lupa had overheard the girl and was now crying even harder. Gritting her teeth in frustration, she rubbed her head with her free hand as she felt the beginnings of a headache forming. Turning to look at their Captain, she couldn't help but chuckle at her offer to shut Professor Lupa up. "At this point, I think that might be the best idea since I'll probably need a visit to the Hospital Wing after this lesson," she said to Willow with a slight smirk. Yes, it was slightly mean to only want to shut up Lupa, but she despised headaches with a passion.

After stirring her potion clockwise 12 times, and counterclockwise 7 times, Liz stops stirring, and stands back, to let it boil for 30 minutes.

Trying to keep from watching the two professors talking, she looks around, the room to see how her classmates are doing on their potions.

"They aren't laughing at you," he said, though he was hard pressed to keep from laughing himself. Not at her, of course but just at the sheer insanity of this whole fiasco. "Less... You really need to just calm down. Why don't you go to my office and sit down? I'll be with you in just a moment, I promise," he explained and then turned to the student who had spoken to him.

Finishing up the stirring phase of the potion, she checked the fire and put her wand down, setting the stopper for 30 minutes. Now what? Unable to find better entertainment, she looked up at the Professors, catching what they were saying. Oh yes, she needs to calm down before I hex her! Rachel thought to herself, knowing fully well she would never attack a teacher. Still, it felt good just to threaten in her mind. Although Merlin, Lupa cried a lot! Each sob sent jolts shooting up her head into her brain, causing pain. She really should listen to him... That way, we can finish up this lesson and get out of here before she really gets going.
Smiling slightly at the mental image of Professor Lupa in a muggle psychiatrist office, three boxes of tissues empty next to her and a huge pile of used tissues in the bin. She caught the Headmaster's response to Willow and made a disappointed face; smacking Lupa seemed like a fine idea right about now.

As she placed the barbs inside the boiling water, Willow's head snapped up at the sound of a chuckle. Oh, it was just Rachel, who seemed to think her suggestion had been funny--which was not a good thing, considering that the fifth year had been serious when she spoke up. Perfect. Now, Willow had no idea why Rachel would have to pay the Hospital Wing a visit once Potions was over, but at least the girl had admitted that her idea was a good one. Of course it was. Shrugging at her with a resgined expression on her face -for the girl had just heard Bontecou's reply of 'when I get desperate- the girl went back to do her potion.

When I get desperate. Well she was already desperate, and by the looks of things, Rachel was, too! How could Bontecou not be desperate already? The woman was sobbing, for crying out loud. Tears!

Sighing, Willow started to stir the thing boliling up inside her cauldron. . . twelve times? Or was it sixteen? Ah, well. A few more stirrs couldn't hurt, right?

Weeeeeeeelll. . .

"Slap me?" Whahhhhhh? She would slap her!

"Yes they are! That one wants you to slap me! And it's all The MacShack's fault!!!" She snuggled into his robes as a child would with her father. "You should take points from those two" she pointed at Abby and Willow "and put them in detention too..." she said. "Oh and give MacShack the SACK!"

Okay, to be perfectly honest he WAS getting desperate. "Less... Professor Lupa, please. You need to get yourself under control," he urged and started to attempt to drag her out of the room again.

"Seventeen, eighteen, wait a second that's not right..." Abby looks at the black board. "I've stirred it too much." She looks down at her potion. The feathers are all but disinigrated. The recipe says to stir 7 times counterclockwise. I'd better do that. Abby stirs the potion 7 time counterclockwise. She then reduces the heat under her cauldron until the potion comes to a steady boil. Abby walks over to where Professor Bontecou and Professor Lupa are standing. "Professor Bontecou, could you come and look at my potion alone please now. You don't mind do you Professor Lupa? Once I'm finished with Professor Bontecou, I promise I'll help you plan a way to get even with Professor Shakleford. I know some really good pranks we can play on her."

"And you should grow up" Barry murmured to himself about the rune professer . Something was wrong.

But Barry just shrugged and added the leech and continued stiring.

Abby sticks her tongue out at the annoying Ravenclaw. "Why should we grow up? Don't you have some feathers you need to pluck bird boy?" There go some more house points. It's worth it. I really enjoyed calling a Ravenclaw bird boy. Hee, hee.

Plymouth still hadn't even got his cauldron going. He was all sorts of caught up in the Professor Lupa drama. He was even on his feet and craning his neck to see.

"Professor - maybe you should let her stay and help! We can try the Potion out on her and see if one wrong and one right make a Professor better!"

Rian looked up with a worried expression at the Runes teacher. She sighed and looked back to her boiling cauldron. Lupa's problems were none of her business...although she was - of course - really, really curios.

After adding the ingredients in the order that was said on the board, Rian started to stir. First 12 times clockwise and 7 times counter-clockwise. She had to shake her head after looking at the two professors, because she almost stirred eight times. And she didn't know what that would do to the concoction.

When she heard Plymouth accuse Barry of kissing his girlfriend, Rian's eyes widened. Then Plymm offered to use the professor as a potion-tester, and Rian had to choke back a laugh. She shook her head when a Hufflepuff called Barry Bird Boy. That's a bit rude. she thought with a frown, trying to think of a mean name for a Hufflepuff.

With a sigh, she returned her mind to her own work and set to work making a fire, ready to let the potion boil for thirty minutes.

"Shut up!!! I dun like you no moh!" She said and burried herself into Pepe's robes. "Ok... I'll go to your office, then you sack MacShak... and take a bazillion points from that kid!" She pointed to Barry and then walked out of the class, to just run back in and stick her tongue out at Barry.
