SO MANY LESSONS! SO MUCH HOMEWORK! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

Tobi scrambled, wildeyed and red haired (Lyra had dyed it for the flying assignment - it didn't suit him at all, but anything for Gryffindor) into class. His nerves were wearing thin and he was stressing about the NEWTs like you wouldn't believe.

"Hi Professor," he greeted shakily. "How are you?"

Rucksack hanging loosely off one shoulder, Clifford strolled into the Potions classroom ready for lesson. He hoped they were gonna be something cool today. He wanted to learn how to brew a Potion that.. caused the drinker to sprout a fully grown beard! That'd be AWESOME!

"Hey Professor," the Prefect nodded at the headmaster, glad to see he'd actually made it to class this time.

With a smile on her face, Anna Greingoth strolled into the classroom, ready to begin another Potions lesson. This had always been one of her favorite subjects. As a matter of fact, Anna had wanted at the young age of twelve that she wanted to research Potions after she graduated Hogwarts. She better learn all she could now! "Good day, Professor Bontecou," Anna said, smiling at the headmaster as she walked by. Spotting Tobi, Anna headed over to where he was seated and snagged a nearby desk.

Elizabeth walked into Potions, feeling a bit strange when she saw she was the only Ravenclaw there right now. But she shook that weirdness off as she made her way to a desk, smiling at Anna and Tobi as she passed them. Looking up, she saw the headmaster there already, and smiled again. "Hi Professor," she greeted him, "You think Peeves is going to invade class again this time?" She remembered the last NEWT potions lesson, and how crazy it had become when Peeves had joined in and started flinging thigns around.

"I'm doing well, thank you," he grinned. Just a few more minutes and he could start.

As soon as she was seated, Anna glanced back up at the front of the classroom, where the professor was carrying on conversation with both Tobi and Elizabeth. Anna got more comfortable in her seat and then raised her hand when the professor asked the class what kind of potion they'd like to brew. "Professor, if you ask me, I think an Aging Potion is needed around Hogwarts these days," Anna said, thinking, of course, about a few of the staff members walking around the school as if they were eleven-years-old. "I've heard the more you drink, though, the more you age. I don't think we'd need to make too much. Maybe...just enough to...well, progress into adulthood." There. That should do it. The headmaster might she was insane, but someone had to help the poor professors!

An aging potion? That was actually a pretty good idea. Perhaps THAT'd get him a beard. Clifford sat thoughtfully for a moment before raising a hand, "Sir, is there a potion that makes you grow a beard?" The fluff he grew on his chin was pathetic. Sniffle.

Elizabeth grinned at the professor as he responded to her question about Peeves. "I think we all hope he doesn't show up," she said, being entirely honest. She'd had to dodge the potion in the last class here, and water balloons in DADA because of the poltergeist, and she still wanted to somehow hex him. If she saw him again, but she also didn't want to have to deal with whatever he might do..

Before she could answer anything about the question starting class off, Anna had spoken. "I have to agree with Anna," she said then. "An aging potion sounds interesting. But only to be used at necessary times. Not like way back when the Weasley twins tried to use one to get into the Triwizard Tournament." She had a feeling she knew why Anna had brought it up, and it would be nice to see the professors actually acting like professors again.

As Clifford spoke up, she couldn't help but smile. Someone seemed awfully focused on one specific thing that could happen to people when they got older.

"An aging potion!" he nearly shouted as he clapped his ahnds together, excitedly. "What a fantastic idea! However, I don't have all the ingredients on hand so we'll have to make an expedition into the forest. Any objections?" he asked with a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

"An expedition into the forest?" Clifford's eyes twinkled excitedly at the thought. Whoa, that'd be sooooo awesome! "No objections from me, Sir." The sixth year shook his head quickly before turning to eye his classmates. He hoped they had none either. Whee! The forest! FUN!

"Um, sure okay.." Tobi assented, because he was the professor, ofcourse he was gonna agree.

Suppress the panic. Suppress the panic. Ohm.

Anna jumped a bit as the headmaster shouted and then clapped his hands together. Erm, wow. She assumed her idea must have been a really good one. Ohhh, this was going to be exciting! An Aging Potion...and a trip into the forest! "No objections from me, sir. In fact, I've been on too many expeditions into the forest to gather ingredients. This'll be fun!" she exclaimed.

Elizabeth raised her eyebrows at how excited the professor got at the suggestion, but smiled as he said they'd have to go out and collect ingredients. From the forest. "I don't have any objections," she said, making her face serious again. She knew she could handle herself, so the forest didn't scare her. Part of her wondered if some of her friends, like Ludo and maybe Robert specifically, would get angry with her for being that adventurous, but she couldn't help it. And the curiosity was there too, to be able to see the forest. And it was the headmaster suggesting the trip, so who was going to stop them?

"Alright, let's get moving!" he said and led them from the room.

Lyra made her way into class but before she could get everything out of her bag that she needed, they were leaving to go to the Forbidden Forest? Wow! Last time she was at this school she was in the Forbidden Forest, how odd? But when Banana suggested the Aging Potion, she smiled knowing exactly who would get the first of the bunch, Mr. Groundskeeper...if they were allowed. She then followed the rest of the class to the forest.

Pepe "led" the class back into the classroom and moved to the blackboard. He tapped it and the instructions for the potion brewing appeared. "Once you get settled, go ahead and get started brewing your potion. You should use your fresh fungus and leave any left overs for me after class. I'll set out the other ingredients on my desk while you're getting prepared," he said.

When Qaz returned to the Potions classroom, the first thing that she did was deposit the Nettle plant next to the Headmasters desk.

Then she found a seat in the back. She went through her potions kit and pulled out the necessary tools.

Anna followed the professor back into the classroom, ready to begin work on her Aging Potion. She approached the area she would work at and then began to read the instructions that had been posted on the board. The potion didn't seem too difficult to brew. In fact, Anna was pretty confident that she would have success with it. She'd worked with all those ingredients before, just not together as part of an Aging Potion.

Okay...step one was to prepare, weigh, and measure all the ingredients listed. As soon as she'd gotten the red wine, prune juice, hairy fungus, tortoise shell, caterpillars, and bat tongue (ewww) together, Anna started on step two---heating and then stirring the red wine and prune juice. Anna stirred clockwise over and over again, watching the ingredients as they heated and tempted bubbling. The more Anna stirred, the closer the ingredients got to being a purplish-brown color. Soon enough, bubbles rose to the surface. Step two was complete.

Referring to the instructions on the board, Anna added the hairy fungus to the mixture she'd created. When it was safely in the mixture, Anna began stirring clockwise once again, counting the seconds in her head until she reached ten minutes. She'd never much been a clock kind of person. "Nine minutes, fifty-nine seconds...ten minutes," she thought to herself, smiling when she saw the lighter color she'd produced. With her non-stirring hand, Anna dumped the tortoise shell into the cauldron, watching the mixture to wait for it to turn a creamy color.

When it did, Anna waited for eight minutes and then removed the cauldron from the heat. Anna concentrated deeply on her potion, trying to ensure that it'd turn out just as it was supposed to. This type of work would one day be her career, and she wanted to make sure she learned as much as she could now. Anna continued to stir clockwise as she dropped the caterpillars and bat tongue into the cauldron. Anna tapped her finger against the table as she watched her potion, waiting for it to turn the milky white it was supposed to turn. When the potion was its true color and eighteen minutes had passed, Anna moved the potion from the cauldron and into vials. Raising her hand, she said, "Professor, I believe I'm done."

Qaz made her first trip up to the Professors desk for supplies. She didn't want to carry everything at once, lest she dropped something.

I wonder if he is keeping a close eye on the amount of red wine we take....
