Karma's eyes widened at boy acting out in class. Oh Merlin's lost toe. Not THAT again. Why were first years even in here anyway?

Then she saw the death glare that the Hufflepuff Prefect cast over to the boy. She smirked, then looked down at her paper.

Maddox listened and nodded, agreeing with the professor. Exchange rates were very interesting. He scribbled down some notes waiting for the next question. He glanced over at Karma, grinned and winked.

For the first time, Karma noticed another body sitting next to her. Well hellooooooo sunshine. She grinned back at Maddox, nudged him in the side, and waited for the professor to return to speaking.

Miles did not understand why Muggles liked to change their money rate around, what a bizzare thing to do! Maybe, they got bored of the number, and liked to change it. He liked what Clifford said, and very much agreed with what he said. Fussy Muggles.

"There is a lot in here, lots of things to absorb. Why don't you all go through and explore it a bit, and I'll leave you all alone for a while to work. No misbehving while I'm gone!", he said threateningly, focusing his attention on Jack. "I see all of you, and I'll know if you act up."

Jack gasped "Detention?" he shook fakely "Oh, p-p-p-p-points?" he asked his eyes wide, he looked at the fellow Huffies around the room "Okay, I'll sit here quietly" he sighed

Slytherin Fox 01-28-2009 07:58 PM

Antonio realized the textbook he had posted applied to ladies only. He quickly added another textbook.
Men's Fashion - Grooming, Style and Fashion for Men
"And this one is for use by the gentlemen."

Felixir 01-28-2009 07:59 PM

Jake turned to Jack. If that boy lost points then so be it... he'd be at the mercy of Dominic and Winters.

But then, he promised to sit quietly... hmmm. Jake still felt suspicious as he started to read.

SilverTiger 01-28-2009 07:59 PM

Elizabeth took one of the handbooks the professor handed out now, as he said they were moving on to a new topic, and looked around as he said he was going to leave them alone for a while. Sighing, she buried her face in the handbook, knowing that at least some people were probably going to choose not to follow the professor's order not to misbehave. At least she wasn't gonna get into trouble.

Leeness 01-28-2009 07:59 PM

Varius accepted the handbook from the Professor with a "Thanks", choosing to ignore his comment about deducting points. Maybe when the Professor returned there would be no Jack Moiser left to punish... a number of Hufflepuff's and other students didn't seem happy about his antics afterall...

Lindzers 01-28-2009 07:59 PM

Melanie growled under her breath. Stupid idiot Moiser kid moronic
She could hardly understand this math stuff, but at least she tried. And now this boy was going to lose all the Hufflepuff's hard earned points. He had already mad her mad in potions, but this was just plain annoying.
"Shut up Jack! What's your issue? Either leave or stay and learn. Although I think I would prefer if you-." she snapped, angrily, but broke off as the professor spoke. Although she glared at him behind Antonio's back.

Melanie took the handbook. She mumbled a "thanks." and began to flip through it.

Fritter 01-28-2009 08:00 PM

Christine looked over the next handbook while twirling her quill in between her fingers. Wow some of these dresses are really beautiful she thought to herself

Aomidori 01-28-2009 08:00 PM

It seemed the first year Slytherin was the only one happy for the distracting. Yes, lose more points for Hufflepuff. She thought, Lose more points, or perhaps, even better, lose allll your points! Let your second-rate house fallllll to its demise!

She coughed, glancing up at the professor with her hand in the air, again. "Does the Wizard economy have different exchange rates in other countries, too?"

Waterloo 01-28-2009 08:01 PM

That kid at the back of the room was getting right on Clifford's last nerve. It was hard enough concentrating on this stuff as it was, let alone with some little brat being a pest. GRRR!

If he'd been a Slytherin. Cor, Clifford would've given him a nice kick up the ...

Oooh. New handouts, huh?

"Fashion for women?"
The look on the Prefect's face was clearly one of distaste. Ew.

Krel Ansell 01-28-2009 08:01 PM

Aggie flipped open the ladies' fashions handbook and started rummaging through it. "Bleck!" she said leaning over and showing Tobi the picture of the lady with the giant rhinestone bow on her hat. "You'd think they'd be less ostentatious won't you?"

She leaned into Tobi's personal bubble trying to see what he was looking at. "Which one are you rummaging through?" she asked him.

fish_kid 01-28-2009 08:01 PM

Nathaniel took the mens fashion handbook that was being handed out and began to read it. He stopped to look around the classroom and push his glasses up He liked to think that he had some fashion sense. Not that you could tell having to wear the dumb school uniform

CruppieMom89 01-28-2009 08:01 PM

Cadence knew what kind of a antics Jack was up to, but she didn't turn to tell him off, knowing that would probably only make things worse. She wished Saku was here so she could get him to calm down. She seemed to be the only one who could. Cadence and her friends and all the other Hufflepuffs had worked so hard to earn all those points, and he was about to lose a bunch of them.

Cadence started reading over the hand out, envious of the women in the pictures. I wish I was as pretty as these women. Cadence said in a whisper to no one in particular..

CandicePotter 01-28-2009 08:01 PM

Getting up Chase went to get the book for boys. men's Fashion? Grooming? he thought to himself and looked down at himself and gave a small chuckle. He thought he took care of himself pretty well but couldnt help laughing. He flipped the book open looking at some of the styles. Nice..

Hollister 01-28-2009 08:02 PM

Miles raised his eyebrow at the two textbooks the Professor had given out. Fashion?! What a girly subject, even if there was a textbook for men. He was into Muggle fashion anyway, it was the only subject that Miles knew quite well, since he lived close by to a muggle town. AND, the wizarding clothes were oooold.

Melanie took the handbook. She mumbled a "thanks." and began to flip through it.

Jack looked at Melanie "Hey! I'm not moronic OR an idiot, I just don't like maths!" Jack glared back at her.

Felixir 01-28-2009 08:03 PM

Jake groaned as he skimmed through the book... boooooring.

He turned to the girl who snapped at Jack, and whole-heartedly agreed, but he didn't want to say anything.

Is this the girl from potions? Jake offered a small smile before looking down at the book. Ugghhh.

SalazarHeir 01-28-2009 08:03 PM

Noelle flipped through the book, 'How to Wear a Hat'....what kind of twit doesn't know how to wear a hat, she thought to herself and scanned that Chapter, 'How to Wear a Scarf'....oh dear, Muggles do not seem that intelligent considering they don't know how to wear hats.

RachieRu 01-28-2009 08:03 PM

As the Professor threatened the young Hufflepuff with taking points, Vanessa shot her head to look at Jack Moiser. Shaking her head at the youngster, she rolled her eyes. Would he ever learn.
After the Professor given out the hand books she looked through it, flipping straight to look a the dresses. "Oooh Pretty," She mumbled, more to herself than anyone.

Yaya 01-28-2009 08:04 PM

Emiliano took the hand book the professor handed through the class. Clothes, fashion and accesories. He so wished to have Diana to help him with that class because she knew all about that little topic nowadays. He sighed and started to read. Though, his attention turned when he noticed to be listening to Karma's voice around the classroom. He waved at her then went back to his little studying time.

Eclipsed 01-28-2009 08:04 PM

Terry nearly breathed out to himself in relief when the professor quickly started handing out another textbook. One that didn't include just women sprawled across the pages looking like sticks. He snicked though at one particular image of a woman and her hat, with a ginormous bow sitting precariously on top. WHEW. They called this fashion?

Maddox raised his left eyebrow. From converting money to fashion? Interesting...

He opened the book and started to read.

Mads smiled when nudged him in the side, and glared at the hufflepuff boy that was about to lose them points. He would have to have a talk with him later...

He noticed the fashion book for men he was just handed and raised his left eyebrow. He showed it to Karma and whispered, "What in the world?"

MerriMalfoy 01-28-2009 08:04 PM

Miranda flipped through the new handouts. Wow, some of those women were show showing more skin than covering it!!! Weird. But still, some of them were very pretty.

noneworld 01-28-2009 08:06 PM

Damian took the handbook and read in it.
