Can anyone tell me what the most common types of currency are in the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan? They all three use something different, that will give you a hint, and I'm looking for the most commonly recognized currency form for each country."

"The British Pound, or Euro, in england, The US dollar in the States, And the Yen in Japan sir." said Tobi with his hand in the air. He saw a lot of tourists in the family business.

Aggie gave Tobi's side a jab with her elbow. He was being rude and he needed to know it. Resting her head in her hand, and exhibiting bad manners herself, she leaned her elbow on her desk as she stared up at the front of the class where the gorgeous Professor was. She hoped the next question was something she actually knew something about.

And as luck would have it, it was. Aggie's hand shot up into the air. "Pounds, Dollars, and Yen." Maybe she wouldn't have as hard of a time in class this year as she thought.

Jake raised his hand. "UK uses sterling, commonly known as the pound. The US uses the dollar and I think Japan uses Yen," he tried.

LizzieEvans 01-28-2009 06:11 PM

Lizzie raised her hand again, quite sure of this one. The US has the dollar, UK has the Pound and Japan, I think they've got the Yen.

Lindzers 01-28-2009 06:12 PM

Melanie plopped down in a seat next to Ana and Candence. She leaned casually back in her seat, smiling. "Hi, guys. I hope you don't mind if I sit here.." she said. The girl ate her snacks like everyone else. She laughed quietly at the people who didn't know what bubble gum was, but stopped herself quickly. No one had laughed at her when she had asked about the wizarding world.

The teacher asked an obvious question and even though she had only been in the wizarding world for about a month she was sure she knew the answer. Melanie raised her hand. "Galleons, sickles and knuts." she said.

As the next question came up, this one about muggle currency she knew the answer. "In US they use dollars, Japan yen and England Pounds. There's other ones too though like pennies and nickles. Those are the only other ones I know cause I'm American..." she smiled, hoping she was'nt being a know-it-all. She simply wanted to earn points for her house.

Torchwood 01-28-2009 06:13 PM

Qaz was surprised at how many knew Muggle currency....

She leaned back in her chair and discreetly blew a bubble...making sure it didn't pop. That would be most rude.

Riverlynn 01-28-2009 06:13 PM

"The U.S uses the dollar, the U.K. uses the pound and Japan uses the Yen." Lasca answered while her hand was in the air.

MerriMalfoy 01-28-2009 06:15 PM

Miranda knew only one of them..."British Pounds, sir...not sure about the others."
