Kait raised her hand and said, "Our currencies that we use are Galleons, Sickles and Knuts."

fish_kid 01-28-2009 05:38 PM

"Galleons, Sickles and knuts" said Nathaniel with his hand raised.

Slytherin Princess 01-28-2009 05:39 PM

Ruby raised her hand "we use knuts galleons and Sickles sir"

LizzieEvans 01-28-2009 05:39 PM

Lizzie raised her hand. Galleons, Sickles and Knuts, professor.

PhoenixRising 01-28-2009 05:39 PM

"Galleons, Sickles, and knuts," Dominic replied to the professor, with his hand in the air.

Shaking the distractions off her head, Evangeline raised her hand. "That'd be galleons, sickles and knuts, Sir." She replied.

Hedwig18 01-28-2009 05:40 PM

Cadence nodded as she raised her hand and answered the Professor's question. "The three types of wizarding currency are Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts, sir.

Daemon 01-28-2009 05:42 PM

Rachel raised her hands and said clearly, "Professor, we have three types of coins in the wizarding world and they are known as Galleons, Sickles and Knuts respectively in order of value, Galleons being worth most."

Aomidori 01-28-2009 05:43 PM

Her hand shot up, "There are 29 knuts in 1 sickle and 17 sickles in 1 galleon." Matilda said, the currency shining before her mind's eye. She loved the class already.

Leeness 01-28-2009 05:44 PM

Varius raised his hand, "The bronze knuts, the silver sickles and the golden galleons."

druidflower 01-28-2009 05:44 PM

I thought you didn't want to take this class," he whispered petulantly as he rubbed his knees and scooted over. "Or did you hear a Muggle Stud was teaching it and have a change of heart?"

He yanked the cookie out of his best friend's hand and shoved it half in his mouth.

Aggie quickly took her seat as the professor started the lesson. She dropped her bookbag by her feet and then slid in next to Tobi. "Shhh," she reached over and shoved the rest of the cookie into his mouth. "Grandda' made me take it," she said in a whisper. "So you better help me pass it."

The fact that one of the more attractive (and humble) professors was teaching the class had nothing to do with - and even if it did Tobi didn't need to know that.

Antonio smiled at all the students who had shown up in the classroom, far more than he had ever remembered before. "How wonderful to see all of you," he said enthusiastically. "And thank you, Qaz, I'm sure everyone will enjoy the bubblegum. Feel free to give it a try, as well, students, you will find it most interesting."

However, they weren't more then 5 minutes into the course when Aggie was confused. She leaned over, her head bumping Tobi's tall shoulder. "What's bubblegum?" she whispered. As she asked, she completely missed the Professor's question.

Muggle Studies was easily Tobi's best subject, but he wasn't much of a student, much less tutor, and while he liked spending time with Aggie, he didn't much like the thought of having to teach her things she missed. He dearly hoped she applied herself to this class.

"It's like Drooble's but the bubble's stay in your mouth, now shut yours and pay attention." Tobi whispered.

Nathaniel saw two Gryffie kids talking and hoped they'd shut up before we lost anymore house points. Which is NOT what they needed. He sighed to himself and looked back at the Professor

Bellatricks 01-28-2009 05:58 PM

Sarah's hand shot into the air, "Galleon's, Knuts & Sickles," sir. Sarah said this with a smile...

MerriMalfoy 01-28-2009 05:59 PM

Raising her hand, Miranda said, "Galleons, Sickles, Knuts..."

Paintbrush 01-28-2009 06:04 PM

Natka was one of many who raised their hands to answer the Professor's question.

"Galleons, sickles and knuts."

Slytherin Fox 01-28-2009 06:05 PM

"Galleons, knuts and sickles," Antonio said with satisfaction. "Yes, I think most of you are familiar with those." He smiled.

"Now, I don't know exactly how much time we want to spend on wizarding money today, since what I want you all to do has more to do with converting that money into other types of money, money which is used in the muggle world. Can anyone tell me what the most common types of currency are in the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan? They all three use something different, that will give you a hint, and I'm looking for the most commonly recognized currency form for each country."

Meh Reh 01-28-2009 06:06 PM

Karma merely blinked at all of the students who answered at once. Well, that was an easy question. She would wait for something a bit more, challenging, to say the least.

"The United Kingdom uses euros, and I believe they also used to use pounds. United States simply uses dollars and various coins as well. Japan uses the Yen."

Leeness 01-28-2009 06:07 PM

Varius rasied his hand, "Pound sterling in the UK, American Dollars in the US and yen in Japan"

Cadence raised her hand. U.S. the dollar. England the Pound. And Japan the Yen.
