As Clifford dragged her into the currency exchange store, Evangeline looked around and frowned. She still couldn't understand why they were exchanging galleons to dollars and not pounds. Dude, everybody knew pound PWNed anyway. Okay, maybe not - but it had the Queen in the bills! You couldn't get awesomer than that. If awesomer existed, of course. "I very much doubt it, Clifford.." She whispered back at him. Professor Dumont had given them the money, but he'd want it back, right? And besides, it could be fake money or something! "Hey there.." She smiled after he addressed the student on the counter. "I want the same, please." She said and put the 100 galleons on the wooden counter. |

Ema was happy that she didn't have to go through all this alone. She was horrible when it came to her sense of direction...so much easier to work with someone. |
Gemma and Carla ...... computer is too slow to quote right now Back in business. Springing up from his seated position on the floor, Jake eyed the two Slytherin Prefects and their money on the counter. "Hey," he smiled as he began to count the first lot of coins until he had 100. Then he handed over a bundle of American currency. "Five hundred Dollars there," he nodded, directing that towards the male. Then he repeated the process. "And the same for you..." Jake added, handing another bundle with his other hand to the girl. "Good luck... Use it well..." he gave them another smile. |
EEEE!! This was SO AWESOME! Clifford simply wanted to snatch all the funny paper money out of the Hufflepuff's hand but waited patiently like a good boy, fingers tingling. Oh boy, he hoped they really got to keep it. "FIVE HUNDRED!?" He exclaimed in excitement, eyes widening as he turned from the Huffie to Evangeline. "Did ya hear that? FIVE HUNDRED!" They were rich! "Thankooo!" Grinning at the shopkeeper and shoving the notes deep in his pocket, Clifford tugged at Evangeline's hand. They had shopping to dooo! |
Well most of the students had their money exchanged, Tobi figured now was as good a time as any to exchange his. "Hey Jake. Wanna exchange my Galleons for me?" he asked. |
As the little Hufflepuff counted the paper thingies he had to give to Clifford and herself, Evangeline could almost literally feel the enthusiasm piling up on Clifford. Goodness gracious. "Cheers." She thanked him, taking her own bundle of money and shoving it into her pocket. It wasnt safe, but ah well. "Haha. Thank you, and we will." Use it well. CHYEAAAAH. Evangeline had seen a couple of dresses back in the clothing shop she had basically fell in love with. The question was, would it be enough? They still had to go to America, after all. "For someone who dislikes shopping, you seem far too eager to go.." The Prefect commented as she squeezed her boyfriend's hand and moved along. WEEEEEE! |

Reaching again for the american currency, Jake held it out in front of Tobi, his other hand held out palm up. "I'll take those galleons then, sir," he beamed. |
Antonio walked into the store and saw that things were going pretty well, lots of students were exchanging their galleons for muggle U.S currency. "How is it going here?", he asked. "Do any of you need any help here, as I'm free for a few moments." He gestured to the students who were waiting in line. |

"Monies!!" Tobi exclaimed. "Ooops. Sorry." It wouldn't do for a currency exchanger-person to get so excited about such things. He stuffed his huge wad-o-MONIES!!! into his rucksack and turned to face the cool little first year again. "Yeah.. so I can exchange yours now if you want," he said disinterestedly, but the grin probably gave him away. |

Tobi counted the shineys and passed back 500 US Dollars. " Here you go dude, go nuts, but like, don't because that would be unfortunate." he said. They each had their monies now... wheee! |
Jai walked in and moved her tote up to her shoulder. "Excuse me can you change this please." she asked one of the workers from the counter. "I get a few singles please?" she asked. |

No time to waste if they wanted to get there in time, right? "Come on, Ema! We have clothes to buy" she said, with a smile, and waved for her to follow through the doors. |

"Good luck!" he wished her. |
Jai smiled "Thank you." she turned and took out a pair of over sized sunglasses from her tote "When in Rome." she put the over her eyes and walked out onto the street looking for a place to get a map. |
Melanie walked up to the counter happily the 100 galleleons jingling around in the bag she was carrying with her. To tell the truth she could barely even carry it...And it was more money than she had probably ever seen in her life. she didn't want to exchange it...Melanie's smile was replaced with the slightest frown. Anyway, she walked up to the counter and placed the bag on top of it, letting out a short sigh. Then she looked up at the people running it hoping they would be reeeally slow so she didn't have to carry the load real soon... "umm could you exchange this for American dollars?" she asked. |
Quote:
"That's five hundred dollars there," he explained. "Be careful with how you use it... and, you know, good luck..." Jake added, tilting his head a tad. |

Melanie gave him a small smile as she recognized Jake...She still didn't think he liked her much, but at least he was being nice and all. Melanie couldn't help but stare as the coins hit the counter making loud clattering noises. If she would have been in one of those old time cartoons money signs would have been in her eyes. Seriously. the girl had never ever seem that money... except for at the bank, but that was waaay different. this was her money and she got to spend it. Sure she had to spend it on clothes and supplies which definitely wouldn't have been her first choice... It was till money and- Melanie's jaw dropped as Jake informed her of just how much money she had in that bag. He had to be kidding her... 500 US dollars! To spend!? Either her school was rich or mad. Most likely both. Melanie eagerly took the money from Jake, relieved at how much lighter it now was. Wizards seriously needed to get some paper money or all the rich ones were gonna end up with back problems. Probably already did... "Thanks and I will." Melanie said happily giving him a small tight smile and clutching the money bag in her hand she walked out the door. |
I of course mean clone ourselves, because i don't think Ross is online right now. "So er, Jake," Tobi suggested, "wanna leave Ross to this for a moment and go get our tickets? Or I can pick up tickets for both of us if you would rather, it's just that the time for the flights and whatnot are fast approaching." Tobi would hate to miss all his class mates at the big finale of sorts, even if... well none of the possible events were his thing. He had a pretty good idea which one was the event they should be going to though. It PAID to be half Muggle. |
"Hmm?" Jake turned towards Tobi as he heard his name again. "Oh... oh yeah," he nodded, suddenly remembering. "Yeah... we'll leave Ross to it for now..." Nodding again, Jake looked around and checked his pocket, making sure the money was still there. "So... do you want to lead the way?" he asked, biting on his lip. He still needed to work out where to go. |
i kinda already posted in the transportation place, but yeah, just.. catch up to me? Quote:
WHeee! We're off to... have an adventure! A wonderful adventure with muggles! Tobi sprinted to the the transportation center, figuring Jake would catch up. |
Aaaaaaaaand Tobi was gone. "Erm... okay," Jake murmured, before just starting to run after Tobi as fast as his legs could take him, which was quite fast... but thanks to the shortness of his legs it didn't make up for much. "Bloody tall people and their bloody long legs," Jake grumbled as he ran, using his arms to speed him up as much as possible. |
