"Oh no. Not these stairs," the Headmaster said as he put one foot down on the dreaded moving staircase. This was the bane of his existence at Hogwarts. Sure, he'd still get lost, but not nearly as frequently if it hadn't been for these stupid stairs! He was going to be late for his NEWT lesson. He wanted to be hidden away in the cupboard wen the students arrived.

"WHEEEEEEEEEE!"
Peeves the poltergeist came sliding down the bannister of the staircase, hoping to knock down and students who were touching the rail. He flew past the headmaster and his eyes flew wide. He slid back up the bannister to Rey's level.
"Professor Pe-pe, oh where or where are youuuuuuu? Is you lost on the moving staaaairs? Poooor Professor Pepe!" Peeves taunted him as he swooped around the headmaster, trying to make him lose his balance as he walked on the stairs.

Peeves gaped at the professor. "If Headmaster Pepe could FIIIND the Baron, Peeves would be SO SCARED!" He chortled, holding his toes in his glee and rocking in the air.
Peeves began to sing: "Lostie Lostie Potions Professor Pe-Pe... He'll be late for claass.. " he taunted him happily in song, floating around Rey, hoping to make him stumble. "But no fear! Peeves will help, while Pepe falls on his--" he disappeared with a POP!, attempting to trip Rey on the stairs as he took off for the potions class.

Allie ran up the staircase as fast as she could, she hated when the moved on her. She was almost to the top, when the stair case started to move. She held on to the railing until it had finished moving so she wouldn't fall over. Great, now she had to wait for it to go back. She was probably never going to get to her common room.

"Argh!" the Headmaster arghed. He headed down the stairs two at a time until he came upon a Gryffindor. "They stairs get you, too?" he asked, managing a small smile. The kids were great and just talking to them made him feel better. Too bad he had to be a grown up.
