| | Magical Creatures Nursery Welcome to Hogwart's Care of Magical Creatures Nursery.
Outside on the grounds and right beside the professor's hut, you'll find a large, stone building. Inside the building and lining the walls are a variety of cages in all sorts of various sizes. Peek inside the cages and you'll be delighted to find that they are filled with sweet, baby, magical creatures. Look beside the door and you'll find shelves stocked with dragon hide gloves, goggles, brushes, clean rags, and anything else you could ever need to care for these precious baby creatures.
Just outside the back door of the stone building is a number of pens and stables for the larger creatures, such as the Abraxans, and a designated closed-in play area for your baby to roam in the warm sun. Be sure and properly close the stable doors and pens when you're finished caring for your little darling.
Please come in and let your creature get to know you. Make sure they are growing up nice and strong and report any problems to Professor Morgan. OOC: If you have any questions, stop by the Notice Board for more information. |

Barry had steak, he thought that the niffler might eat it, he ran and let the niffler out of its cage, and gave it the steak, while it ate he hid two sickles and went back to the dog-like creature "Go Illiana find them, good girl" he said and so it went, it took it a whole minuite this time, but she tried. He smilled and then did a few measurements of her before putting her back and leaving the nursary"

With one hand holding the feeding bottle firmly, Cela used her wand to vanish the glass butterbeer bottle, for the safety of the little abraxans. She twisted her wand in her hair, stabbing it through the resulting messy bun and turned her attention to her abraxan. "Oh you like that huh? I like butterbeer too." Celandine spoke quietly to Cassiopeia and nodded in agreement to the words Copernicus was saying to Tiberius, "I wonder, if they will like the same mixtures?" she asked curiously, "What if one of them has a sweet too..eeep!" Celandine struggled to keep her grip on the feeding bottle as the abraxan eagerly suckled on the butterbeer. Taking a firmer grip and giggling slightly, Cela gently stroked the foal's head and wings while she drank. "I guess that's generally part of our experiment," Copernicus lifted the bottle clear of Tiberius to check how full it was. "I'm hoping they'll generally have the same tastes, or we won't have any sort of results at all."
He stretched out one of Tiberius's wings very gently, studying the structure and the way it joined the foal's body. Just how exactly was this fragile thing going to get a HORSE off the ground? It was... very hard to believe. "So how soon until they are old enough to ride or to fly? These wings seem so small right now." He let go of the wing and Tiberius tackled him in an effort to get at the bottle.

It's almost scary how big they get and its definitely awe-inspiring." Cela stroked Cassiopeia's wings gently and pulled the bottle away as the sucking noise indicated it was empty, "Oh you drank it all! What a good little Abraxan!" Cela stroked Cassiopeia's nose and smiled happily as the abraxan foal nickered at her.
"We will have to start taking them outside next time so they can stretch their wings and strengthen them." Celandine giggled at the colliding foal and boy, "I'm not sure precisely how long it will be." she admitted.
Cela stood up and took the bottle back to where she got it from, cleaning it before replacing it on the shelf. "I don't want to go! They are so lovely!" Cela sighed and bent down to stroke Cassiopeia's nose, laughing as the foal got its head stuck in her skirt and robes in its eagerness for a caress. It was amazing how quickly they developed trust once you fed them.

The weather outside was simply perfect for a nice walk through the grounds. Anna had finished all her homework and was done with her classes for the day, so she thought it'd be a nice idea to head to the Care of Magical Creatures Nursery and visit Blaze, the Phoenix she'd agreed to take care of for the remainder of the school year. Anna entered the stone building, stopping long enough to notice the large crowd of students that had gathered to take care of their own magical creatures, as well. Shrugging, Anna tightened her grasp around the little basket she was carrying and then headed forward, all the while looking for Blaze's cage.
Ah, success! Anna smiled and stopped short when she took notice of a baby Phoenix inside a cage off to the right. She bent down and studied the name tag on the cage, frowning when she read "Frazzle" instead of "Blaze." Oh, darn. Frazzle wasn't her Phoenix. Anna sighed and spun around, wondering where she should look next. There were so many baby creatures packed into this building!

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jerry Brady Second Year |
Jerry walked in to the nursery and the first thing he saw was animals. Lots of them. He looked around and when he spotted his creature, a puffskien named Fred. He walked up to him. "Hello Fred," he said. He found some puffskien food on a shelf and handed it to him. Fred ate it and he seemed to like it. After he went to sleep, Jerry decided to leave.

I mean I'm sure you could find a way, but it would be a little awkward. Here." Celandine gently tickled Tiberius on the rump until the foal turned to examine what was tickling at him, once he was distracted, Cela took the bottle from Copernicus and danced backward out of the stall, still holding the feeding bottle which was actually empty. She closed the stall gate just as both foals made the move toward the gate.
"Oh I'm sorry, I'm such a tease." Celandine cooed softly at the foals, before smiling brightly at Copernicus, "You alright to climb over this thing?" She tapped the gate top, "Or do you want a hand?" She offered her free hand over the top of the stall gate.

"But it saved my life, so Tiberius and I forgive you. Do you suppose they'll be okay in there, or do we have to put them back in the cage?" It was more than obvious that he really did not want to put them back in the cage.

Cela peeked over the stall and smiled fondly, "I think we can leave them together until they get too big, so they don't get lonely." Cela squeezed Cope's hand again before letting go and seeing to cleaning the feeding bottle and putting it back where it belonged.
"I wish I could just stay down here instead of in the dorms. That hay looks kind of comfy." Cela watched Cassiopeia nestle down, sated after the butterbeer and caring attention. Celandine sighed and twirled on the spot, "Okay! We should go! You coming, Cope?"

"Thats what friends are for, right?" Celandine called over her shoulder, bouncing happily as she headed back up to the castle.
Next time, she planned to take Cassiopeia outside into the designated area and start experimenting with the different kinds of mash.
She hoped Copernicus would come then too.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Tahir Kovac Khatri First Year | Day One: First Encounter Ama!Nabs IS NAMED MINHO & Is SO Black Panther Right Now
The way she saw it, Daphne Hopton was predestined to always get the fish left at the bottom of the barrel. Despite having two very prestigious parents, it seemed, such luck was not inherited or passed down to one's offspring. Miss Hopton made a careful note to, if she ever did that is, marry a man who had a contract with Lady Luck.
For the sake of her children, of course.
As she had passed the door, Daphne had collected a few items she thought she would need. The dragon-hide gloves were to pacify her overly paranoid mind which was conjuring infectious diseases she could catch and the brush was to make sure Napoleón looked presentable. Crup or not, he was in her care and the least she could do was to tend to his appearance.
His emotional and physical growth could be handled at a more distant time. Daphne's hazel eyes sought out her name among the plaques, only to sneer at her given title distastefully. It had been crudely etched into a plaque underneath Napoleón's name. How very unflattering.
Peering into the cage, Miss Hopton tried not to be suckered in by the crup's round glistening eyes fixated on her. Nor did she pay much attention to the way the canine tilted his head sideways as if not believing he had been handed such an inadequate caretaker. "Well, don't look at me that way," responded Daphne dryly, slipping on the gloves before opening the cage carefully. "I'm not too fond of you either."
Reaching inside, Daphne prepared to use a tight grip but the infantile crup didn't seem to have any intention of running away or causing a fuss. Instead, he tucked his head underneath the curve of the glove, forked tail a swishing happy blurr.
Stunned, Daphne brought out the white four-legged critter, dark spots around his eyes and ears. There was another dark brown spot covering his lower half, all the way down to his swinging tail. Silently, she combed Napoleóns coat, wondering if that incessant tail swishing would ever end.
Miss Hopton placed Napoleón back on his cage. He didn't think it was time however and protested slightly with a whine and lunged forward to jump out. His head was stopped by a gloved hand. "Sorry, Napoleón, but we're just not that good friends yet! You can't just jump at people, pesky puppy," finished Daphne in a whisper, lips curved in an amusement she would never admit to. Locking the cage, Daphne hung the gloves in its place by the door and put away the brush on her way out and away from the nursery.

| Double Agent Stamps! Abby comes down to the Nursery carrying a horse blanket and a bunch of carrots. She makes her way to Marmalade stall. "Hello, Marmalade, I've got some nice carrots for you and a blanket to put on. It's suppose to be cold tonight, but first I've got to do some charms homework." Marmalade walks up to the gate and bows her head. Abby rubs it gently. "I missed you too. Sorry I'm so late getting here. Charms class ran long and then it was time for dinner. Here you go." Abby puts a carrot up to Marmalade's nose. She starts eating. When she's finished Abby puts her blanket down and looks through her bag. "Now where did I put that lock... Professor Ashby wants us to practice locking and unlocking it, and other locks I think too. Here it is." Abby pulls the ancient looking lock out of her bag and places in the lock holes in the gate. She locks it. "This should take no time. I had not trouble locking and unlocking the locks in classe." Abby pulls out her wand, points it at the lock, and says Alohomora!" The lock opens the first time. "See I told you nothing to it." Abby feeds Marmalade another carrot. "Let's see if it can do it doing the charm silently." Abby locks the lock again, points her wand at the lock and silently says Alohomora! Nothing happens. "Great! Of course I'm only a fifth year. I shouldn't be able to do a silent charm everytime." Abby tries again. The lock won't budge. "Great, I really don't have time for this. I'll just do the charm out loud. Alohomora!" The lock still won't open. Marmalade starts kicking the gate. Abby pats her head again and offers her another carrot. "Don't worry. I'll get it open and get your blanket on you. All I need to do is concentrate. Abby takes a deep breath, clears her mind, points her wand at the lock and says Alohomora over and over in her mind. The lock finally opens. Marmalade moves her head up and down. Abby lets out a cheer. "Well not bad for a first try. Don't worry. I'm going to put it away and put your blanket on." Abby puts the lock away. She opens the gate and goes in. "Easy Marmalade, I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to put this blanket on. Now it's going to have to go over your wings. I promise it won't hurt." Abby lays the blanket out on the ground and grabs Marmalades briddle. She points her wand at the blanket and says "Windgardium Leviosa!" The blanket levitates up over Marmalade and gently falls down around her. "See I told you there was nothing to it." Abby walks over and gently pulls the cape part of the blanket over Marmalade's wings. She then runs her hand down Marmalade's back. "Now you be a good girl, and sleep tight. Let see, I need to give you some fresh water before I leave." Abby walks over to the bucket and performs the Augmenti Charm. Water pours out of her wand filling the water bucket. "I promise to bring you a butter beer tomorrow. I don't think you'r quite ready for single malk liquor. Madame Maxime feed her abraxan that. Professor Wolfe said that's not an abraxan's usual diet. He should know. Professor Wolfe has a pet abraxan." Abby gives Marmalade a quick hug. Love ya. See you tomorrow." Abby closes the gate and leaves the barn. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Meredith Natasha Lillian Adams Third Year | Day 2 Sirius Lee B. Harry dayz!
Meredith had been thinking about Ping-Pong yesterday. She was really excited about this assignment –her baby Puffskein was really cute. She had collected some leftovers from the breakfast to give to Ping-Pong. But first, she needed to find him. There were lots of cages along the wall and she hadn’t remembered where Ping-Pong’s was. She looked around in the cages and became quite distracted. The creatures were all very interesting.
Ah, there it was. Meredith noticed the right cage and quickly went over to it. Unfortunately, she didn’t see the baby, he was probably sleeping. What should she do now? Oh, refresh the water of course! It was just like taking care of a hamster. Well, a magical and much more interesting hamster. She had a Muggle friend who had a hamster, so she knew quite a bit about them.
She opened the cage and went to refresh the water. When she’d done that, she put a bit of the leftover toast and cornflakes on a little plate in the cage, hoping Ping-Pong would find it later. She sighed disappointed and was about to leave when she heard something rustling in the cage. Ping-Pong must’ve smelled the food. Meredith smiled “Hi little fellow,” she said lovingly. She watched him walk sleepy to the food and giggled. It looked really funny , she had no idea Puffskeins could look sleepy. She quickly picked up the plate with food, she wanted to give it to him herself.
First, she tried the toast. A long tongue snatched a piece of it and soon another. Ping-Pong seemed to love it. “So you like toast? I’ll bring some of it tomorrow too, okay? Now let’s see what you think of cornflakes.” When Meredith tried to feed the cornflakes however, the Puffskein spit it out. “Ah, so maybe that wasn’t the best idea..” She made a mental note No more cornflakes.
She reached out to Ping-Pong carefully, not wanting to scare him. She stroked Ping-Pong and was surprised how soft the fur was. It was a bit browner than yesterday –not that it was really brown, but more yellow with the slightest hint of brown. The Puffskein seemed not to mind the stroking at all, he seemed to be.. enjoying it.
She got out her bag and took some notes. She also measured Ping-Pong and wrote that down. Then she stroked Ping-Pong again and looked at her watch. Oh, she had to go. “Bye Ping-Pong, see you tomorrow!” she said while waving at him. Then she walked back to the castle, she had some other homework to do too.

| Vanessa the Snot Girl l Rachels Rule | rock, tumble,&roll ❆ adorable coffee bean A little sketchpad, that she had been sent from her mother, tucked under her arm, Vanessa Corbette wandered slowly towards the Creatures Nursery. She was coming to spend a little more time with Maxxie, her adopted kneazle. And she was hoping to draw him this time too. Hence the sketchpad. Brushing her brunette hair from her face, she midget hufflepuff walked into the Nursery, and over to the area where Maxxie's cage was. Placing her bag on the floor, and dropping the sketch pad on time, she opened the latch of the cage and looked in. It looked like Maxxie had been busy. "Look at you, you messy thing," She giggled, as she reached into the cage, and picked up the kneazle carefully. "I think your cage needs tidying, just a little bit," She stroked the kneazles ears, as she set Maxxie on top of the cage. Reaching down into her bag, she pulled out a soft little yellow ball, which belonged to her cat. She had figured that Maxxie might enjoy playing with it.
"Here you go Maxxie," She gave Maxxie the ball, before she went a retreved the equipment needed to tidy his cage up. She giggled at Maxxie, as he played the ball, whilst she swept his droppings out of the cage, and then moved onto wiping the cage, before setting some newspaper down in it for the Kneazle. "I think you like that ball," She chuckled as she reached into her bag again, and this time pulled out a small, yellow and black blanket, and a round water bowl. "I brought you a blanket for you cage," She showed the blanket to Maxxie, before setting it nicely in the cage. At least now the Kneazle would have something nice to lie on. Whilst holding the plastic water bowl between her legs, she lifted Maxxie off of the top of the cage, and back into the cage. "I'll just be a second Maxxie," She put the latch back on the cage, as she went to fill the water bowl with water.
On arriving back at the cage, she opened the door again, and popped the bowl near the back of the cage. "Now you can have a drink whenever I'm not here," She smiled at the kneazle, as she then remembered her sketchpad. She'd need to hurry if she wanted to sketch Maxxie, because she needed to head back up to the castle soon. Leaving the cage door open, she picked up her sketchpad, and a pencil, before quickly sketching the kneazle. She could do another drawing later, a better drawing.
Just as she was about to go she remembered that she had brought one other bowl. One that she was going to leave a small amount of food in. So that if Maxxie ever got hungry, he could eat something.
"Heres another bowl for you," She smiled, as she filled the bowl with some food, and placed it in the cage. After petting Maxxie once more she closed the cage door, and locked the latch. "I'll see you tomorrow Maxxie," She nodded, before picking up her bag, and sketchpad before leaving the nursery.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Twilight McDonahue Hodges First Year |
Twilight Mcdonahue walks into the nursery in the afternoon after classes and homework. She was all excited to see Dusk. Professor had reassured her that she didn't need to come twice a day to check on her baby. Her classes and homework were more important.
Eveningstar, her minowl and constant companion, had ditched her for the student garden. He obviously had friends over there he wanted to see. She peeked inside the cage and saw that Dusk was awake. When she put her hand inside Dusk finished uncurling himself and waddled onto her hand, blinking.
She then took him out and sat down on the floor in front of his cage. They played hide and seek with his favorite pocket. She watched him, this was his favorite game so far: waddle off her hand, sniff around, find her pocket, nose his way into the pocket, turn around a few times, then hide deep inside, then when she peeked in blink at her, then waddle out onto her hand. He could play this again and again until he tired out and would then not come out of her pocket on his own anymore. Then Twilight knew that playtime was done, now was squished mealyworm feeding time and then bed.
When Dusk wanted to go to sleep and not eat any more mealyworm, she carefully put him back in his nest. She had noticed he was a littl bit larger and heavier than the day before yesterday, but other than that he looked and felt the same. She filled his water fresh and checked his food, but everything else was just right.
Then she sat down and added her observation into her journal and got up to leave. She blew Dusk a final kiss and left the nursery for the student garden to find Eveningstar and then she wanted to stop by the Groundskeepers as well on her way back before supper.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sophia Svensson #556B2F Slytherin Fifth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Eulalia Walles (#F48037) Hufflepuff Fourth Year | Constant Vigilance! O_O AWAKE! Variety of clean, crunchy, and yummy veggies. Check. Dragon hide gloves, check. Books about Africa to read to Adisa so he doesn't get bored? Biiiig check mark!
Juniper plopped herself in front of Adisa the streeler's cage for a second time. "Gooood afternoon, Adisa my friend," she chirped at the snail-like creature. No response. Well, she would just have to change that.
Slipping her dragon hide gloves on--streeler trails were acidic and Juniper wanted to stay safe, just in case--the fourth year fished a slice of cucumber from her bag of veggies. She stared at the juiciness of it, remembering that she was still rather hungry. Surely it couldn't hurt to take just a teeeensy bite? Or... Juniper popped the cucumber slice in her mouth and pulled another out, quickly setting it in front of Adisa before she could be tempted again. Yum.
"So, Adisa. You're from Africa." Juniper continued putting a variety of small pieces of vegetables inside Adisa's cage as she murmured to him. "I've been to Africa. It's very pretty there. There's lots of plants--you'd find them absolutely delicious, I'm sure." Oooh, a turnip. Juniper hoped Adisa would like turnips. Someone needed to, otherwise there would be no point in growing them. "Maybe I'll try to get you some sunflower seeds next time I come, Adisa. Do you think you'd like those? Or marigolds..."
Hands resting on top of Adisa's cage, Juniper stared raptly into the streeler's eyes thin air. What else had she read about streelers liking? It was a plant, she remembered... OH!
"Oh, I know! I'll bring dandelion leaves!" Juniper snapped out of her reverie and grinned into Adisa's cage, bending her head so she could peer at him. "I bet Professor Bunbury would be glad to let me weed her gardens and get rid of those." Not to mention that the herbology professor's plants would like it, too!
Oh. All the vegetables were in the cage with Adisa. Remembering that the streeler liked to eat in private, Juniper closed the cage and removed her dragon hide gloves, sticking them promptly in her bag. "I'll let you be, then, Adisa," Juniper said. She glanced at the two heavy tomes she had brought with her, the ones about Africa. Hmm. They would store nicely right next to his cage, wouldn't they? Yes. Perfect.
Scrambling to her feet, Juniper wiggled her fingers in a sort of wave at Adisa and skipped out of the Nursery, making sure to close the door behind her. Hmm. Maybe she'd go find some dandelion leaves now, and then she could add those to Adisa's feast. Lovely. |

Freya walked down to the nursery again, this time with a new pair of gloves with a slightly heavier weight to them. Noor was still a baby, but her spines had hardened, and Freya didn't want to take any chances.
She opened the door to the nursery and peered around. There were a few students milling about around the room, but that was all. Freya kneeled down next to Noor's cage and was surprised to see the knarl moving about in her designated space. "Certainly have gotten more active haven't you?" Freya said as she slipped on her pair of gloves and opened the cage. Noor crept forward very slowly and smelled the hands that were in the door of her 'house', but before long she seemed to realize who it was and waddled into Freya's hands. Noor had gotten bigger still since the last time Freya had seen her, which was not long ago at all. Noor now had to be held with both hands and was actually trying to fidget around to get a better look at things. "Not so dependant now anymore I see." Freya said to the animal as she took a peek into the cage.
There was not a scrap of food left, and the water dish was only a quarter of the way full. 'Goodness she's gotten an appetite...' Freya thought as she actually allowed Noor to take a place on her shoulder. Freya could feel the animals claws start to dig into her skin and decided to bring her outside for a while to play.
Freya let Noor wander around in the pen outside. It was a bit warmer today than it had been, so that wasn't an issue for the pair. Noor sniffed the ground and started to burrow away at the firm soil with her clawed feet. She stuck her nose in the new pile of dirt and gave a little sneeze, 'Choo'. Not being able to free herself from every spec of invading dirt, she shook her head and sneezed a couple more times. After another minute, Noor actually waddled quickly over to Freya who was seated nearby on the ground. Noor continued to shake her head as though saying, 'Get this off of me'. Freya picked Noor up and placed the knarl into her warm lap, then carefully removed the dirt particles from Noor's small nose. "Better?" She said to the animal as she laughed slightly. After watching the little critter give a giant yawn, Freya decided it was time to bring her back into the nursery. "Maybe I was wrong, you really are still a baby...but that works for me."
She walked over to Noor's cage again and made sure that it was cleaned up before adding Noor to the mix of fresh shavings, water, food, and another play thing. Freya had actually brought a small blanket to place in the box for her knarl. After giving the spotless cage a thorough scan, Noor took it upon herself to make a cozy space for herself in the new blanket. With a final yawn and twitch of her little legs, she drifted off to sleep.
Freya watched as the knarl settled in for the night, and thanked her lucky stars that she was able to visit again, after being deathly ill the last time. She took out a notepad and scribbled another journal entry in for herself, and for the professor's reference. Taking a final count of food items, Freya placed her supplies back into her bag and headed back towards the castle.

| Visit Two Made of Awesome | Ern-la the Best-wa | TZ's Apogee He probably shouldn't visit without Cela, although they'd never really agreed on that. Still, Copernicus felt guilty as he made his way over to the Abraxans' stall. He could have at least sent her a note. But... it was just a short visit and he wanted to come down and see Tiberius while he remembered and... Cela would forgive him. Or show up and join him. He crossed his fingers.
Cope climbed up on the gate and peered down at Tiberius and Cassiopea. "Hey, there, kids. You look hungry. I guess... you don't like that food someone left out for you." He frowned at the pile of hay that had probably been in the stall forever and hoped that it wasn't intended to be eaten. Abraxans didn't eat horsey foods, let alone HAY. Ugh. He slid off the gate and reached through the slats to stroke Tiberius's nose.

She hadn't been by to see Chanel in a few days and she was sorry about that. She brought the Imp a little pink bow to put on one of her ears as a gift. She hurried down to the nursery holding her present in her hands.
She walked in looking at the other students with their..pets? She didn't know if they were their pets or if they were just their charges. She walked over to Chanel's cage. The Imp wouldn't look at her, "I'm sorry." She said softly. "I've got a present for you." She held up the box and Chanel turned around and looked at her. She smiled and pulled the pink bow out of the box. She opened up the cage and put her hand in. Chanel walked into her open palm and Paris pulled her hand out. She walked over to the a table and chairs and sat down. She let Chanel walk onto the table she tied the bow around one of Chanel's ears. She pulled out a bag of insects from her purse. She wasn't looking forward to putting her hand in that bag so she just opened it and put it on the table. "Here I got these special for you." She told Chanel.

"I brought a whole bunch of different grains so we can try a sniff test and see how the foals react to the smell of the oats and corn and rye and barley in the raw form. She knelt down and stroked Cassiopeia and Tiberius; they seemed to recognise her and were eager for attention.

Oh, dear Lord, she'd completely forgot about this! What if her creature was already dead? Will she fail the subject? Kaika shook her head as she thought of that, the subject was nowhere near the worry as to kill a little harmless creature. Which is why she ran towards the nursery, tripping once or twice. "Finally!" she said, as she walked around it, and there it was...looking oh-so-sad and oh-so-hungry and oh-so-helpless. Kaika almost wanted to cry at the sight of it, mainly because it was her own fault.
The little Crup seemed to know she was the one that needed to take care of him, "I'm so terribly sorry, but I've been losing track of time, and...well, you don't care about that, to be totally honest" she ended, noticing that this creature was probably not going to talk back. "And, you shall be Seven" she said, taking the little Crup into her hands, "I don't know why, but I like the fact that you're named after a number" her favorite one, and the little Crup simply stared at her. He did look hungry enough.
BUT
Before doing anything else, she needed to take measures of him, and that was what she did, with her peacock quill and parchment, but the Crup wasn't remaining still. The gray spot on his left eye was simply adorable, but the fact that he kept moving was not.
Either way, measurements ended, and she got to feed the little Crup and played with him and a ball she'd gotten from outside. But it was time to leave. "Sorry to leave you, Seven, but I do have other responsibilities" again, as if the Crup was going to answer back.
And with that she left, not before placing a tag on the cage that said, "Belongs to Capt. Lockhart" and placing him inside.

| Fortress of Brilliance ღ Mommy Quad Savannah looked around, closing the door behind herself as she entered the Nursery. This wasn't the first time, of course. She had come by to see the baby creature she was assigned every day, usually in the early mornings and then before curfew on the weekdays and then long afternoons on the weekend. Well, not including the last saturday. But that was because Frederic had to go and choke on a piece of candy, after that everything simply fell apart. Including the Lions Captain.
Crossing the room, the seventh year pushed gently on the back door. Having already gathered the things she would need for her visit, she was on her way to see the baby Abraxan she was caring for until term ended. That was something else she would need to ask Professor Morgan about later, what would be happening to all the creatures afterward?
Looking up towards the sky, Savannah smiled slightly to see that there still wasn't any awfully grey clouds; it was no summer, nor spring day but there was no signs of a storm approaching and that was good enough reassurance for this Hufflepuff. Setting her bag and the grooming supplies outside of the stable, out of the way of any animals or students that may come through, Savannah ventured inside. "Pegasus," she called softly, alerting the baby of her arrival. "It's bath time, my four-legged friend." watching the abraxan take several steps towards her, she waited a moment and then unlatched the stall door, beckoning him forward. "Good, good boy." the praising continued as the brunette used her outstretched hand full of grapes to lure Pegasus out of his stall, and outside into the backyard of the nursery. "Very good boy, Pegasus!" The girl exclaimed quietly, patting her companion affectionately and gave him the rest of the grapes she had left. For a baby, he was the same size as her. But this was an abraxan she was taking care of! One day, his wingspan would reach forty-five to fifty feet. So technically, - which she already knew, - he was the same size of a normal baby in his breed category. While the foal munched away, Savannah sent water pouring into the bucket infront of her. It wasn't for Pegasus, obviously, but to rinse her hands in at the end when she wouldn't be able to touch anything do to the wing cream. As the water stopped squirting from the tip of her wand, the girl sighed and looked to Pegasus, whom funnily enough was staring back at her. Instead of scowling like she wanted to for her loss of concentration to keep the water coming, Savannah found herself smiling brighter, a giggle escaping between her lips. Atleast he was amused by it, from the looks of it. "Alright, Aguamenti." She said clearly, wand held pointed out to her side, away from both her and the creature who, like her, waited and watched the jet of water splash out into the grass. Running her left hand over his soft, pure white coat the Hufflepuff walked around to Pegasus' backside. Stopping behind his leg to start with the hooves, she ran her hand down past his knee and held his ankle. On cue, Pegasus helped lift his foot up long enough for her clean it out with water and a simple scorigify charm. This worked just fine, until she was onto his last hoof. The baby Abraxan lifted his head high, refusing to meet his care-takers gaze. "Aw, come on little guy. I know it's not much fun, but it's almost over. I promise, hold tight and you'll get a special treat." Savannah bargained, as if the foal would understand. Perhaps he could, Savannah personally believed it was possible. Eitherway, the baby carrot she offered bought her more time. Once his last dirty, right front foot was in her left hand the girl mumbled the cleaning charms and got his foot down before the abraxan could miss it. Now onto his coat.. "A little over halfway there,"

Via made her way down the magical creatures nursery. She had never been into one before and entering the nursery was like being back at the muggle zoo, the only difference is that the creatures at the zoo aren't magical.
Professor Morgan had given her an imp as a pet for the whole term and she's going to take care of it. She had named her Cid. Based from her readings about Imps they are fairy-like creatures... too bad they are only fairy like. Another one is, they are pixie-like... she could still recall what she had read at a certain book about pixies during HArry potter's time at Hogwarts.
As Via moved along the nursery and soon reached the place of her imp, she hoped she wouldn't have a hard time dealing with it. She hoped, Cid wouldn't make fun of her.
Glancing around, "Cid?" she called softly. Via was hoping to see a seven inches creature but remembering they're still baby. Via smiled as she looked at the imp. She tried to sit so she could have a better look of Cid. Fairy-like... pixie-like... it doesn't matter. She gently extended her hand and stroke Cid's head. Slowly carrying him, she found a place where she could sit and she placed CId on her lap. Watching Cid play with her tie, "i named you after someone, an acquaintance," Via told the creature.. "I bet you like your name for you immediately came over after i called you."
Suddenly, Cid reached for Via's bag which was laid beside her. She gasped as she was surprised by the sudden action. "Oh, No," she said. How was she supposed to play with an imp? Let the creature make fun of you, her mind told her. After some time of talking to Cid, feeding him without replying back except for some odd noise, Via thought Cid was trying to answer. "Perhaps i'll bring a book some time and read you some stories. And i really need to do some readings about you...."
She stood up and with Cid unto her arms she slowly laid him where she had found him. "I'll come back... i just have other things to do... and don't worry next time i'll bring you more food." She beamed at the creature which was steadily gazing up at her. With one last look she waved goodbye to Cid and left the nursery.

"I brought some apple juice I've been trying to ferment since our last visit, and some buckets to begin working on a mash solution."
He pulled a bottle of butterbeer from his bag and attached a rubber nipple he'd shrunk to fit. Tiberius butted his way to the bottle, and Copernicus let him drink while he continued to search through his bag for his quill. "You brought me something? Did Plymouth tell you? I asked him not to."
