Cela just stared at Plymouth in consternation, it was like... it was like trying to talk sense to... to ... Garret! "I said maybe if you look after your clabbert, when they are old enough to be ridden. Can we go inside now?" Cela asked in a pathetic little voice, wanting to get Plym away from the abraxans.

"Sure, sure, Girlfriend," Plymouth kicked at the dirt again and opened the gate for her. "After you." He was clearly still pouting a little, but it wouldn't last long - couldn't last long - with that sad little face of hers.

Cela sniffed once, clearly still a bit miffed, though she grabbed his hand firmly and began to drag him up to the school.

Constantine nodded and followed her over to the door, trying not to look too conspicuous as he passed by the students in the room. "Sasha!" he called, looking back and calling for his dog. But for some reason, she didn't move. "Sasha?" he called again, stopping and watching the puppy. "What's wrong...why won't she come?" he asked, looking back at the woman with a worried and scared look.

"Sorry, CellBell," Plymouth finally conceded. "I'll be good. Wait for my time. Take care of the little beas--- Clabbert. And then, maybe, you know, Perni will let me borrow his. And we can ride together some. That'd be fun..." He slid an arm around her shoulders and gave her a side hug to help with his apology.


But he still really wanted to ride the little horse. Booo.

Daphne made her way into the nursery. Normally the room was empty, but today it seemed rather crowded. She acknowledged some of the people with a slight nod of the head, and headed straight to wall of shelves. "Oh hello again!" she said to the Puffskein Honey, who was currently under a pile of bedding.

She reached in and scooped out the animal, who seemed irked to be disturbed from her slumber. Daphne was shocked to find that Honey actually seemed to weigh something. For the longest time, the Puffskein in her hand felt like nothing more than light fur skimming her palm, but now it felt like something was there. "Looks like you've been doing some growing!" she smiled, stroking it with two fingers, another testament to its growing size.

As Honey started crawling up Daphne's arm, this time over her sleeves, thankfully, the Ravenclaw student decided to clean out the animal's cage. It was a fairly unglamorous part of the raising of a creature, but it ought to be done. Thankfully, when Daphne sniffed the interior, it had no foul odour. "You've been tidy, too!" she chuckled, feeling Honey on her forearm. "I don't have to clean up your mess!"

This put her in a great mood. Daphne walked to a corner and sat down. She cupped Honey with both her hands and watched as the Puffskein indicated it wished to roam about. "I don't think that's a good idea," she shook her head and grabbed a hold of the squirming creature. But Honey obviously wished to roam about, but the floor was not the place to do it.

Daphne got up and let the creature down on the wooden table in the room. "There you go," she said and watched Honey examine her surroundings. Strangely, she remained in a very small area, not brave enough to explore the full length of the table. After about ten minutes, Honey plopped herself down and went to sleep. Daphne took this time to carefully move the Puffskein back into her cage. She pulled a ball of fluff out of her pocket. "Another present!" she said, dropping it in the container. Then she replaced the lid and put the animal back. "C'ya next time," she said. Then, wrapping herself in her cloak, she quickly headed out into the crisp December air.

Iliana frowned, her heart going out to him completely. "Hang on and let me have a look at her. I think maybe she's scared of the adults too." She said before walking over to where the puppy sat. She bent down and whispered, "Come on, Roma." ever so quietly in her ear so that he couldn't hear her and then pulled a treat from her pocket. She handed her the treat and then stood up and patted her leg a few times with her hand. "Come on girl, let's go."

Constantine continued to watch sadly as the woman was able to make Sacha walk towards him. This wasn't right; he'd known his puppy for a long time! This woman had only just met her...had he done something wrong to lose his dog's trust? Had he said something stupid to Madison again? Sasha always knew when he'd done something stupid; she had this...repoachful type look that always got you to feel bad.

He looked to the floor and sighed as she came nearer with his puppy. "Thank you," he mumbled before turning to the door and opening it, walking right out.

Once inside the play area, Mariel gently set Felix down in the snow. She watched as he gingerly took a few steps, cautiously examining the new texture underneath his feet. As he got acquainted with the weather outside, Mariel turned her head in Nathaniel's direction as he called to her. Nodding as she watched the augurey take flight, the thirteen year old then turned her attention back to the Jarvey. He was actually pretty cute, she noticed and heard him emit a contented little noise, something like a low throaty grumble, as she stroked the top of his head. From what she had read about Jarveys, it wouldn't be long until he started speaking. First a few single words of insults, soon turning to longer rude phrases, until he was speaking a near constant stream of insults. Of course it wouldn't actually be intelligible speech as they were incapable of actually carrying on a conversation.

She was so preoccupied with watching Felix play in the snow that she didn't notice Nathaniel behind her until she felt something cold on the back of her neck. Of course she was layered so well with her scarf, cloak, robes, and sweater and buttoned-down shirt of her uniform that when he tried to put snow down her back he didn't get further than her neck. Still, that was plenty cold for her. With a small shriek, she snapped her head in Nathaniel's direction and gave him a swift hit on the arm. "This is so not the place for that," she said with a frown, then went to go after Felix. He was startled by the noise and started to run off. Apparently Nathaniel needed another lesson in appropriateness just like he did regarding talking during class. This was a classroom setting after all, not the place for snowball fights. He couldn't wait 15 minutes till they were done in here and back on the grounds? Sigh.

"Gosh sorry Mariel." he told her. He felt like his mum had just scolded him. He frowned and leaned against a fence post. He watched his creature fly around for the next 10 minutes and knew that the bird was happy. He whistled and Aimirgin flew down to his arm. "Okay buddy. Let's go in"he said. He looked in Mariel's direction "I'm putting him back up. I guess I'll just see you later.". He didn't want to leave Mariel but whatever. He was tired of not having that many friends and feeling like he was too clingy to the two friends that he had. He sigh and walked out of the pen. He was seriously thinking about not coming back to Hogwarts after this term....

He put his bird in his cage "See ya later buddy." he said as he locked the door. Nathaniel headed out of the nursery and back up to the castle.

Mariel had finally caught up to the scampering Felix and, after a few minutes, managed to coax him back into her hands. She didn't realize that he'd get startled so easily. Once the Jarvey was in her arms, she rose from her squatting position on the ground and turned to see Nathaniel on the other side of the play area leaving as he spoke in a defeated tone. Was he really mad at her for reminding him of proper classroom behavior? Mariel sighed as she watched him retreat into the nursery. Goodness, that boy could be so sensitive.

At any rate, the Ravenclaw girl decided to head in as well. Felix needed to be fed. She absentmindedly stroked his head again as she walked inside and then set him back in his cage. As she walked towards the back to get some Jarvey food, she passed Aimirgin's cage and noticed that Nathaniel must have already left. The thirteen year old felt somewhat bad for hurting his feelings but it's not like that was her intention. She was just being her normal, bluntly honest self. Why didn't people get that?

Returning to Felix's cage, she filled his food dish, then went to fill his water dish with fresh water. She'd have to sketch him another day, she thought as she checked her watch. She'd really have to make an effort to come more often. It ahd been too long between visits. As she returned with fresh water, she set it in his cage and told her Jarvey, "See you, Felix. I'll be back soon." Giving him a small smile as she saw that he had already curled up to go to sleep, Mariel turned to leave the nursery and head back to the castle. Glancing shiftily around her, she pulled out her wand to be on the alert. This DADA assignment still had her incredibly paranoid.

Even after hours of sitting before Georgie's cage, Hugo did not find himself with a drop of boredom in his mind. He watched his creature, completely contented, as she pranced around the spacious cage proudly. Oh, how she'd grown! He could barely recognise her, if it wasn't for the oddly shaped mark on her foot; a lime green splodge that stuck out from her usual mottled green skin. A smile curled around his lips as she jumped into the air, desperately trying to catch the dangling piece of string. She loved playing with string, or anything that he dangled above her head for her to jump for.

"Oi, careful sweetie!" Hugo warned, and she landed on her back where she wriggled happily. He couldn't help but chuckle. "You are funny, ain't ya?" He cooed warmly, gathering her up in his arms and stroking her back tenderly. She was just...so adorable. The best pet he'd ever had! "And you've grown!" He exclaimed, holding her at arms length and turning her from one way to the other. "You've really, REALLY grown! Hey, you hungry? Are ya?" He kissed the top of her head, before placing her down gently onto her straw bed. He'd made it freshly that day, and the yellowness of it glowed between the grassy flooring of the cage.

"Heeeere we go!" Hugo tipped out her rice and chicken dish, before adding a few dead beetles to the top. Those were Georgie's treat; she really loved them. "And y'know? Cause you've been a good girl, I'm gunna give you an EXTRA SPECIAL treat!" He beamed down at her, before pulling out a plastic bottle and pouring it into her water dish. Milk. Georgie loved milk. Even more than beetles! Or billywigs! The little animal let out a yelp of delight, before lapping it up contentedly.

"Good girl, Gee," he laughed, scratching her behind the ear. Looking after her seemed so effortless.

Oh, boy. Kaika needed to be taking better care of her crup. Treat it as if it was Snowy. Even if the creatures weren't remotely related.

She smiled as she noticed the little cage. And it was little because the crup had grown quite a bit. He still fitted the cage measures, but maybe in a month it will need to be, either released, or changed into a new place.

Kaika approached Seven and let him out. "Hey, Seven, how have you been?! Look how much you've grown!" she was soooo sounding like a grown-up at the moment, especially those times when a family sees each other after a lot of times. But she had some work to do, which is why she started to measure the little crup and wrote all the numbers in their places along the piece of parchment.

Since she'd been away for some time, Kaika stayed much longer than expected and played a bit with 'Seven-The Crup', she might just ask her father to buy her one of this little things, because it was way too cute, and smart.

Yet, after many, many, many minutes, it was time to leave. Kaika fed him again before leaving and waved goodbye as he was placed in the cage safely.

And....off to Quidditch planning.

Allie walked into the nursery excited to finally meet her little Niffler! They were her absolute favorite animal, and she couldn't believe that she actually got to take care of one. She had come fully prepared, making sure she had read and memorized every detail about Nifflers that she could in her Magical Beast and Where to find them book.
She looked through the cages until she found hers.
"Bugsy!" she said, opening the cage to see him. He was so small, and adorable. She picked him up and petted , and played with him until she had no choice but leave, otherwise she would be late for her next class.
"I'll be back soon Bugsy!" she said, as she put him back in his cage. She pet him one last time before closing the cage door. Then she grabbed her bag, and hurried to her class.

Barry today had come to take a simple walk with his Niffler, and so he took Illiana out and grabbing onto a leash he had bought for his cat he let the Niffler run around as he kept up, his mind on other things.

And she was back again. Becca strode over to Daisy's cage and carefully removed her. "Whoa. You've gotten significantly bigger since the first time we met, little buddy! Or I suppose not so little buddy..." Of course, the furry niffler was still small, really. Just not as tiny as it was when it was a newborn.

"Want some apples?" Becca slipped an apple slice out of her pocket and held it up to the end of Daisy's long snout. She smiled with delight as the niffler munched on it eagerly. "You know, you're not so bad. I thought it'd be stupid to take care of an animal. But you're just a cutie! Sorry for ever thinking badly of you." Becca stroked Daisy's soft fur gently for a few moments before replacing her in the cage. "Here's one for later." She stuck a second apple slice on the floor of Daisy's home and headed for the door. "Au revoir, little buddy!" And with that, she departed from the nursery.

Copernicus was more than a little happy that his electric-curse didn't apply to animals, especially since Tiberius insisted on being petted and spoiled. He smiled at the foal, letting himself be knocked over in all that exuberance more than once. In the process, he managed to refill the feeding buckets, curry and wash Tiberius, and attempt to take full measurements of the growth of body and wing span. The last part was hard because the wings kept hitting him in the face.

When the errands were finished, Copernicus sat next to Tiberius and buried his face against the foal's neck. Just a few moments of calm, and then he was on his way again.

With everything going on inside the Castle, this seemed like a piece of heaven. Kaika smiled at the sight of her not-too-little-anymore crup. "Hiya Seven!" she said, and both the tails of the creature moved in synchronized motion. It was simply the cutest thing you could ever see.

As the other two visits, Kaika took out her measure tape and wrote some notes into a piece of parchment. What a disappointment. The crup hadn't grown much since her last visit.

"Sooo...I'm not sure if you can eat this..." she said, looking around, "...but I brought a muffin I'm willing to share with you" and she took the dog-like noise as an affirmative answer. Not like Kaika wasn't into sharing things with other people or animals, but a muffin was something she didn't usually share, for some reason.

Since all good things had to come to an end, and she was slightly tired of teaching the crup to 'SIT'...(she'd come to a conclusion that the creature was making mistakes on purpose)...Kaika placed him on his cage and waved goodbye, grabbing her bag before leaving.

Abby brings Marmalade back to her stall. "I think it's a little cold to give you a bath today. How about I groom you instead?" Marmalade nods in agreement. Abby smiles. "I'll be back in a few minutes." Abby ties the lead to the post and goes to the tack room. She finds the hoof pick, curry comb, dandy brush, body brush, mane comb, and a wet cloth. Abby walks back to Marmalade's stall. She arranges things on the shelf. "Okay I need to clean your hoofs first. Now there's nothing to be afraid of." Abby gently picks up Marmalade's left front leg. She uses the hoof pick and starts at the foot and picks forward to the toe. Abby doesn't find any rocks, but a lot of dirt and snow. When she's finished cleaning out the hoof, Abby checks the hoof for trush and loose shoes. "Everything look great with this foot." Abby continues working on the other hoofs talking to Marmalade to make sure she stays calm. "There that wasn't so bad now was it." Abby finds the curry comb. You use this to comb out long hair, bring out dirt, and loosen mud. Abby uses vigorous, small circular motions over the abraxan's muscles. She does not use it on boney areas like the face and legs. Abby starts at the neck working her way down to the barrel, and then all the way down to the rump. She has to be very careful going around the wings. They are still very sensitive. Abby doesn't use the curry comb on them. When she's finished with the left side, Abby mover over and does the right side. "One down, now we have to use the dandy brush. It will get rid of the hair and mud the curry comb has brought up to the surface." Abby pats Marmalade and rubs her side. "I promise to be gentle." She brushes in short straight flicks. This gets the dirt out. Abby does both sides making sure she doesn't use the dandy brush on the face, ears, wings, belly, mane or tail. When she's finished, Abby uses a soft cloth to clean those areas she can't use the dandy brush on.

She gets the body brush which can be used on all areas of the abraxan. Abby gently brushes Marmalade all over including her wings. Marmalade get a little testy when she does her wings. "It's okay Marmalade I'm finished with them promise." Abby gives Marmalade a litte butterbeer. She then uses a wet sponge to wipe out Marmalade's eyes. Abby then cleans her nostrals good, and using a different sponge, cleans the dock area (under the tail). Now to the main and tail, before she uses the mane comb, Abby uses her fingers to seperate the hair in both the mane and tail. Then she combs the mane out. Abby walks to the rear end and works on the tail. She starts with the end of the tail combing the tangles out of there first. Abby then works her way up the tail hair. You should only occasionally comb the tail and be very careful when you do. Be gentle and use your hands as much as possible. Hair that is broken can take up to a year to grow back. Abby hugs Marmalade. "You did so well for the first time. I'm so proud of you. Let me put everything up, and then you can have the rest of the butterbeer." Marmalade drinks her butterbeer. Then Abby puts her blanket on her making sure she gently cover her wings. It's cold in December/January. She puts some new barley in her feed container and adds a small single malt whiskey. Abby makes sure Marmalade has plenty of water. When Marmalade is all taken care of, Abby puts the brushes and combs up, and heads back to the castle.

He needed to get out of the castle and the weirdness of the whole thing. And he missed his crup. He hadn't been down here for so long he was going to be surprised if Ziella didn't remember him. He hoped so, he needed something to talk to, something to tell him he was good. He sighed softly as he entered the nursery, walking straight to the shelf and grabbing a bucket, food, clean clothes and a leash.

Smiling at the sight of the creatures around him he walked with purpose towards the cage that held his crup. Ziella looked up t his approach, giving him an awkward look. Her cage was a mess, shredded papers and other nasty gross stuff. He shuddered as he came to a halt in front of it, glancing at her with a crooked smile. "Hey, now look what you've done. Was this your way of telling me to come down?" He asked as he knelled down, opening the cage gently. She flicked her horned-tail and walked out slowly, her eyes looking up at him. "Aww come on now, don't give me that look please. I've had a really rough week." month, term he added silently, reaching towards her fur to stroke her.

"Alright, bath first or clean you cage?" He asked, holding up the bucket and cloth. Ziella looked at him as if he were crazy (which he thought he was) and sat don on her haunches blinking up at him sadly. "Okay,okay clean your cage first." he chuckled, petting her again. She licked his hand in response, her eyes lighting up. "Go over there for a second while I put water in here okay?" He asked, taking out his wand and gesturing a few inches to his left. She seems to nod standing on four legs and stretching before going where he had pointed. He smiled, his eyes lighting up as he pointed his wand at the bucket and muttered "Aquamenti." a stream of water pours into the bucket and he watches as it fills to the half way point before stopping the spell and putting his wand back into his pocket.

Ziella watches him with curious eyes and sneaks up, her nose nudging his hand. He looks down as he drops the cloth into the bucket, intent on getting on his knees and cleaning the cage and grins. "You liked that eh?" He asks, gesturing to the now full bucket. "I'll never use magic on you I promise." he said sincerely, his hand moving along her back. "Stay here for a sec while I go in and clean okay?" He says in a small demanding voice. Crawling into the cage he shudders; it's absolutely disgusting he thinks, as he begins piling the garbage into a pile and moving it out to drop into the other empty bucket. The smell is just weird and he shakes his head as he begins scrubbing, the water easily ridding the floor of the dirt.

Ten minutes later he's finished and crawl out, pushing the now cloudy water bucket with him. He glances at Ziella and sees her cleaning her paw and grins. "Okay, now your turn." he says clapping his hands as he quickly run over and empties the dirty water, exchanging it for clean. Coming back he takes the leash and puts it on her, smiling softly. Taking the leash, empty bucket, cloth and soap he led her to the large play area, knowing she'd probably try and fight off the cleaning process. This way she can run around, get excersize while he cleans. Perfect. Setting the bucket, soap and cloth down on the ground he looked at her and unhooked the leash. "Go run around for awhile while I set up. I promise it won't hurt you." he said chuckling at her depressed look. Yup, just like a muggle dog he thought, knowing how much those animals hated being cleaned.

Clifford hadn't paid Thing a visit in ... well, FOREVER! and decided it was probably about time he checked on the baby kneazle he'd been assigned to look after and observe this term. That was if it hadn't like.. stared to death. Eh. Professor Morgan wouldn't allow that to happen surely.

Making sure he closed the door behind him, Clifford made his way to the cage that Thing lived in, and peered inside. Well, he was still alive! The Prefect supposed that was a good sign.. it did mean however, that he was going to have to share the meat he'd stolen from the Slytherin table.

Clifford didn't like kneazles. Not one tiny bit. But he DID have to make an effort, and with a small sigh, the sixth year crouched down and opened the cage in order to let Thing jump into his lap. EW! EW! EWWW!

"Steady on," he mumbled, awkwardly patting Thing's fluffy head who proceeded to purr in response. Gross. He noticed Thing had gotten bigger than the first time he'd visited him, and made a mental note to write that down in the diary he was keeping. It was hardly much of a diary yet.. but still. "You liked that chicken last time, didn't ya?" He stoopidly asked the kneazle as he pulled a few scraps of meat from the pocket of his robes.

Just as he'd been expecting, Thing sniffed the air eagerly and managing a small smile, Clifford fed it to the kneazle. At least Thing had a good taste in food.. that was one thing they had in common. Teehee.

Maddox silently walked into the Nursery. It had been a few days since he last saw Serefina. Since he had been with her everyday of her quick growth he figured it would be better to come in every two or three days now.

It was amazing to see a creature grow so quickly in just five days time. He quickly walked over to her cage and smiled as he approached. She was magnificent! He unlatched the cage door and watched as Serefina flew out to him. She perched herself on his shoulder and nuzzled the top of his head. Mads grinned with that.


"Oh, Serefina, I believe you are my true love." Maddox chuckled as she coo'ed a gentle melody at that. He decided to start the routine. He walked over to the bag labled 'Phoenix Food' and grabbed a handful. He sat down on the floor, indian style. He put his hand next to her feet and let her latch on. He then gently placed her on his knee, and started feeding her a few leafs at a time.


Once she was finished, she coo'ed a different tune to let him know. Then Mads proceeded to rub her neck feathers with his index finger. If he didnt she would snap at him, and he already had one small scar on his right index finger from her. "So would you like to hear my predicament of the day?" He grinned and continued to rub her neck. She coo'ed and tapped his nose. That was a yes.


He smiled and replied, "Well...Despite the fact that you are the love of my life...I might have feelings for a girl." She cocked her head to the side like she was listening intently. Mads smiled immediately. He then proceeded to tell her the story about the way things were going between himself and Camira.


He suddenly noticed that the sun was going down. He looked at his watch and said, "I'm sorry my darling but I must go. It's time for dinner and I have homeowrk to do." She gave him a sad melodic coo and flew to her cage. He sighed and stood up, stretching. He walked over to her cage, and gave her one last rub, while saying, "I will be back soon my love."

Maddox quickly grabbed his bag, and was out the door in an instant.

Jude was proud of what Aubrey looked like, he was proud of "raising" a baby creature to near full-maturity. She might not have been even near full yet, but she was definitely huge, and her feathers were starting to come in so dark green they were almost black, especially her tail. She was still all fluffy and downy in places, but those spots were shrinking every day.

He felt bad, though, having not been down to see her in a few days. Quite a few, actually. He looked at his Aubrey Journal he had in his hand and looked through the entries, the last time he wrote was day 29 of Aubrey's being charged in his care, and it was now... he counted on his fingers several times before coming up with day 43. Wow.

"Aubrehhh" he said, the slightest hint of curiosity lining his voice. His Augurey was beginning to molt, he knew that, but her neck was seeming to grow faster than the rest of her, leaving her looking very odd and unproportionate.

This time, Jude sat on his feet, kneeled down while she fluttered and sputtered and flew and ran about, having fun and exercising herself. Jude thought about drawing her, at first, but then realized he needed her much more still to do so. So instead, he wrote about her, and her size, and colors, and lost track of time.

Nearly an hour later, he realized that Aubrey had crept up next to him and was staring at him, and his knees were really cold. He looked at her and jumped backwards, squeaking a bit and terrifying them both briefly, before falling over. He looked at his watch and realized how long he'd been there, before snatching her up and closing his journal.

By now, Aubrey was used to the routine and didn't even fight, knowing that Jude would be back to play with her some other time. Obediently she climbed into her cage, and then stood, waiting for her treat. Once it came, she started to gobble it up, at which point Jude turned and took his leave back to the warmth of the castle.

Ray made his way back to Kazza's cage, he had grown over the years and got a bit larger or bigger. For the first time since Ray knew his pet, his color had taken a red one. He got worried as he wasn't sure why his pet would have this color which usually meant danger or not to come close. Ray also noted that the secretion of Kazza had increased as all the grass had been burned.
Ray opened the cage and stepped in and moved straight towards Kazza and caressed him. "What's wrong?" Ray asked as he continued the hand movement over the snail's shell. Kazza quickly moved his antenna's towards Ray hand and when he was sure that this was his old friend, his color quickly changed to a more peaceful color. A baby blue one.
"Do you want to eat?" Ray asked as he conjured some herbs and plants. "I hope you like them they came from Africa I had my uncle order them as I couldn't go there!" Ray explained to his snail as it attacked the food Ray had brought with him. Checking the time again, Ray noticed that he was late for a class after giving a big caress to the Snail he left after he had said his goodbyes.

Ruby walked down to the Nursarys and smiled as she did, once she got to the gate she unlocked it carefully and walked in and straight to Emelda's cage and said "hello darling how are you?" Ruby had never once felt stupid talking to Emelda the way she had done, she picked her up and placed her in another cage and cleaned out her current one.

Once she had finished she placed a very wriggily Emelda on her lap and tried her hardest to mesure her Ruby sighed and said to herself and Emelda "you have grown about a centemeter" she placed her back in her cage and got her fresh water and placed some vegtables and meat in there.

Ruby got out her journal that she had been keeping of Emelda and wrote in it what she had done today and then stood up and said "Sorry for the quick visit but i have homework waiting for me Emelda" she walked back out of the gate and headed back to the castle.
