She smiled. She pictured the small baby Augurey. How cute, she thought. Also magnificent. Kira tried on his glasses and noticed he was caught in surprise that she took his glasses. "I apologize," she said handing them back. "I was just curious, Ive worn my for so long that I dont feel myself without them.." Kira felt a little embarassed. She didnt want to bother him in his studies. "It was really nice meeting you Nathan...ill get back to my book and let you study" She smiled and went to the other table.

I mean, I don't particularly like washing dishes over the summer. But my mum still says I'm the best dishwasher in the house." "So, even though you, and probably Withers, don't like to dance and are athletes... I'm sure you're both excellent dancers." Juniper grinned, satisfied that she had an unarguable idea.

Scribble, scribble, scribble. That seemed like the only thing she could do in regards of the Muggles topic, for she had nothing else to add to that. It was clear, in Willow's head, that Daisy was more fond of Muggles than Withers.

That doesn't mean I'm a good one, either. . . "I guess you are right. Er, but I really doubt I am a good one." Her mother, she knew, had not been very coordinated when it came to dancing. And walking. Or doing anythind that required a certain amount of balance.

"If you say so, Juniper." Said Willow doubtfully, staring off into space. In truth, the idea of dancing did not sound particularly appealing to her, but that was probably because she never had a proper oportunity to dance. Except for in her brother's wedding, but that was a complete different situation.

Juniper practically beamed at Willow as the older girl agreed with her. There was no better way to boost self-confidence than to have a discussion with someone like Willow and have that someone agree. Truly. Unless she took a potion for self-confidence or something--and Juniper trusted their was such a potion--or was on the receiving end of a self-confidence charm, Juniper was ninety-nine percent sure that her discussion with Willow was the top way to boost her confidence.

That did not mean much, though. She still did not intend on drawing attention to herself or talking to people.

"Well, that's decided, then, I suppose," Juniper said, scribbling down some final notes on the subject. "I guess all that's left is..." Juniper looked at what she had written about the assignment they had been given. She had only completed the discussion part so far. "Well, I better get started on the rest. Nice discussing with you, Willow."

The fourth year was not trying to be dismissive. She was not even trying to be rude. She just really wanted to finish her assignment. Pulling the ink between them closer to her own parchment, Juniper began the rest of the assignment, her quill scratching loudly in the quiet library.

Mariska looked over as Cayden suddenly spoke to her; She had been just about to make another comment concerning their studies when he had spoke to her. " Oh," She said, slightly startled. She blinked once and nodded. " I'll see you later," She said, watching him go. What was in that letter, she wondered. She turned to Elizabeth again as the other girl spoke and she shrugged. " I would think that for that game," She began, taking on Elizabeth's game show topic, whatever a game show was anyway, " They might all be very well matched against one another." She said. " After all, they all have knowledge about different aspects of life. But I agree with Elizabeth, I believe Wenlock would win over all because she discovered something that affects all of us, which is numbers." She said, writing down notes on everything else Elizabeth had said.

"No," Zeke laughed. "It talks about racism, friendship, family... It's really deep. Definitely on my top ten favorite books list," he elaborated. "Hogsmeade. Hmm. I'm actually up for anything you want to do," he said with a smile. "As long as I'm with you, I'll have a good time." Ok, maybe that was a little cheesy. But why not?

Lyra's eyes looked over at the letter that Cayden was receiving and then he left suddenly. He excused himself and left...just...like...that. Well, obviously school homework was not that important to a Slytherin. Maybe he was Slytherin after all....hmmmm.

Lyra's attention turned towards Elizabeth as she began once again. "YES! Exactly," she said between both Ravenclaw girls. "Oh you two are just brilliant. I love it." She began jotting down more notes on top of what she already had written. Robert on the other hand was...quiet. She didn't want to make a big deal about it and decided to keep writing, dipping her quill in ink. "Well, I like the cook off but what about a dance off? Wenlock as well? I mean, count the number of steps in a dance move...seven." She began to giggle wondering what else they could get into.

Camira frowned a bit. "I think I'll pass on that." She never understood that weird racism thing muggles had. How that had any bearing on a person....Okay, anyways. "My my. Mr. Weasley. You're a secret charmer. I should have suspected", she said affectionately. She leaned in and kissed him quickly on the cheek. He deserved a reward.

And awesome. She was done with Herbology. Hmm....she was almost done with everything. This seemed a good time for a break. She pushed her book away and leaned back in her chair. "How's your homework coming along? I'm not distracting you too much, am I?" She would feel bad if she was keeping him from his school work.

"A secret charmer," he said with a laugh. "I don't know about that one." He blushed and smiled when she kissed him. "Oh. No. I'm actually done with all my homework currently," he said, shaking his head. "Thankfully."

"Don't play coy with me. I know your secret now", she said mock seriously. "And good. I'd feel awful if I was keeping you from working. Though that would mean less points for Gryffindor. Hmmm..." She waggled her eyebrows playfully. Hmmm, why was she hyper all of a sudden. She hadn't even had any chocolate.Ooh, that reminded her. "So, do you have any rules for me", she asked curiously.

"Rules?" Zeke asked, his brow furrowing. "What do you mean?"

Camira raised a brow. "Wow, you really are homeschooled. Everyone has rules. For example, Me and Maddox have rules for each other like when we hang out with each other we can not allow others to interrupt us. We are to focus on each other only. And we can't get obsessive or jealous. And....yeah, that's pretty much it. But anyways, if you have rules you expect me to follow I have to know now so I don't do something to make you mad. I like to get things out there as soon as possible. Saves everyone from mountains of confusion." Okay, so she treated interpersonal relationships a bit like a business, but hey. Businesses were more successful than interpersonal relationships, which meant something.

"Hmm... I can't think of anything off the top of my head. Of course, I've never thought of relationships as needing rules before..." he smiled. "Do you have any?"

Camira gave him a feral grin. "Is that what this is?" She was teasing him, but of course she was curious. "Hmmm....I have a lot. But of course they depend on the situation", she said evasively. "All in all, I'm pretty relaxed when it comes to those things. I just want to make sure I avoid doing things that would make you upset."

"You tell me," he answered her question with a grin. "Well, I suppose, then, my only rule is... if we do this, er, whatever it is, if we go out or whatever you want to call it," he said, raising a brow, "it's all or nothing. We have to be exclusive." Well, that was blunt. But no room for confusion. He didn't even know what was going to happen between them. May as well get it out there in the beginning. "I mean, I don't even know if you want to, you know, date or whatever. But, well, I mean. Yeah," he blushed. He was usually not that no-nonsense. Maybe he just liked her. What if she doesn't want to? he wondered to himself. Oh, well. Then I'll just be red-faced AND red-haired. Nothing new there. Take problems as they come. Don't create them when they're not there. CALM DOWN, ZEKE.

Camira was surprised. But pleasantly so. She hadn't expected him to be so blunt. She cheeked the inside of her cheek thoughtfully, taking a moment to think about what he'd said. "Fair enough", she said finally. "Here's the thing. First off, there are things you need to know about me before we even go there. I don't want to making a decision like that without knowing exactly what kind of person I am. It would be bad for everyone. Secondly, I can agree to that, but I won't give up my friends. I flirt with them on occasion. That's just who I am. But if we're together, it won't go any further. You need to decide if you're okay with that and if you can trust me when I say we're just friends. I've already had enough problems with people not trusting me." Of course, they were right, but that was besides the point. She thought a minute and shrugged. "Yep, that's about it. But the short answer is that I would definitely like to spend time with you. See where it leads. If that's okay with you."

Zeke nodded. "Also fair. And yes, I'm okay with that. I trust you," he said with a smile. He got that she was a flirt - they wouldn't be here if she wasn't, because he was way too shy to make the first move. And he was fine with that fact. "I feel the same way." he said in response to her comment about spending time together. He wasn't looking to jump into a relationship right away, but taking things slow and seeing where they went seemed like a good idea to him. He was still a little shocked at himself for being so open with her. It was pretty out of character. But... he didn't regret it. It had gotten her to admit that she wanted to hang out, which was a step forward. Steps forward were good. However, his inward panic attack continued: Does that mean she wants to hang out? Well, YES, it means that, she said that, idiot. But what if she didn't really MEAN it? What if she was just trying not to hurt my feelings? She kissed you. So? People can kiss people without it meaning anything. She said it did. So?! So she said it did! That means it did! Unless you think she's a liar, his inner voice challenged. No, I don't think she's a liar. Then what are you worried about? Rejection. She kissed you! Wow. I'm having an argument with myself. That's totally normal. Maybe I should go to a psychiatrist or something. Huh. Did I put my socks away this morning? Hmm. I should probably make sure I did. Socks. Blue and green, warm socks. Wait. Wait. No. Camira. Stay on track, brain! SOCKS ARE UNIMPORTANT RIGHT NOW!

Camira gave him a smile. Wow. It was nice to hear that someone trusted her. So many people didn't. Then again, Gryffindors were trusting by nature, it seemed. Still. Ugh, whatever. And then there was the matter of...right. "So, I might as well tell you the biggest thing now, because if you can accept this then you'll probably be fine with anything else I tell you. If you don't...well, I can understand that too." Her smile faltered a bit as she thought about how she could phrase this in a way that would make it sound not that bad. "My father...My father was... he loved me, but he wasn't really that good at being a father. And when I got older, he wanted me to be like him. He wasn't bad, per se, but some of his choices were. Anyways, my mother disapproved." She paused for a moment and took a look around. "Muffliato", she said quickly, not wanting any eavesdroppers for this particular conversation. "Right, so my mother disapproved and things got out of hand and he...well, he killed her. So, after that, it was just me and him and he had to "undo" what my mother had done. He...he had to fix me. And he tried. With training. I don't really want to go into details, but it hurt. And I didn't think I could handle it. But I couldn't just leave. I would loose everything. And so....I killed him", she finished bluntly. Wow, she'd told that whole thing without a quiver of emotion. She was getting better at it. "So, there it is." Of course she had her wand ready. She might need to obliviate him if he freaked out.

Elizabeth grinned as Mari and Lyra jumped onto her idea, although Robert was being scarily silent. "Yeah, you're probably right, Mari. About the game show thing. I mean, it would depend on the categories or something." She glanced over again as Lyra went back to the dance-off idea, and giggled at her logic. "The number seven is just everywhere," she joked, before turning slightly thoughtful. "I've never actually heard of a seven-count in music before, though." She thought about more things their people could face off against each other with, wondering if Lyra's fascination with Wenlock and seven was going to make her say the woman would win everything.

And as she semi-lost herself in thought, her mind wandered back to when Cayden left, and the message he had gotten. And she realized the falcon that had delivered it had been awfully familiar. She really needed to start making a list of all the things she needed to ask Cayden about one of these days.

"Gaudy?" Sho asked, pulling his robes over his jeans. "Well I guess sometimes. Though it's rather nice sometimes. I rather think that these robes can be pretty awful."

Aggie completely missed Sho’s reaction to her words. “Don’t diss the robes. They’re warm and quite comfy.” She leaned over Sho’s armrest getting some of her hair in his face as she tried to look at the handouts she’d handed him. “Some stuff isn’t bad, but who,” she said pointing to a rather rufflely bright pink dress with lots of bows (underneath it said “bridesmaid’s dress). “In their right mind would wear that?”

"Oh, right," Sho said chuckling. "No one wears those willingly. That's an example of a bridesmaid's dress. It's worn at weddings by the bride's bridesmaids."

He picked up the picture and laughed again, "The bride usually picks the ugliest dress she can find- either or purpose or not- to look better by comparison."

”Why,” Aggie said making a face. “Would anyone want to do that to another person?” She took the handout and flipped it sideways then flipped a page. “It’s like, equal to torture. Oh and this one’s even worse!” She turned the paper around to show him a picture of a girl in polka dots and stripes with checkered shoes and a terrible 80’s hairdo.

It really was proving terribly hard for Hugo to stay away from the Library for more than a few hours at a time. As well as constantly needing books for his homework, he was also flicking through what appeared to be hundredds of Care of Magical Creatures books. He was reading so many CoMC books (despite reading for pleasure) because he was desperate to squeeze every drop of knowledge about clabberts out of them. His new baby clabbert, Georgie, was snoozing away in the CoMC Nursery, waiting happily to be visited by him. She was so adorable! And he was determined to bring her up as a lovely little creature, and so he needed to know EVERYTHING there was to know.

A few fat books under his arm, Hugo made his way towards the Library Study Area. Plonking them loudly on the table, he slipped into a seat and flipped the first open. Now...what did they eat?

Vanessa rarely did her homework out of the common room, and every blue moon when that happened, it was because she was doing it with Miles or was doing it outside.
But for what seemed like a first time, Vanessa had entered the library, to do her homework.
After looking for a care of magical creatures book, it would help if she new about kneazle's especially if she had to look after one, she wandered towards the study area, hoping to gain at least a little knowledge about the creature.
Placing the rather heavy book on the table with sigh, she pushed her brunette curls away from her face.

It was only then did she notice the familar locks of the one boy she really didn't want to see. Mainly because he probably didn't want to see her. Coughing awkwardly, she looked down at the book, knowing that he was going to notice her.

Qaz found a vacant table and settled in...pulling out parchment and and quill. The only pet that she'd ever had was her Tabby, HiJinx. She had a lot to learn about Jarveys.

She opened the first book and started to read...interesting stuff. Certainly not a pet you could have around Muggles, though. Babies, feeding, playing, learning...everything that she'd need to know in order to care for her new baby.

After taking about a full sheet of notes, she packed up, returned the books to their proper place and headed back to the Common Room.
