A small little kid started to walk towards the library and picked out the quietest place. Just arriving from the Arithmancy class he sat down on a chair and put his bag on one of the large tables. Perfect. He saw a few ink quills and bottles in front of him but preferred his own quills instead. From his bag he took out one of the fancy quills he bought at Flourish and Blotts and a parchment. Peace and quiet. He only liked it when he was working or something. And homework was one of 'em.

Looking at the Arithmancy homework he sighed and pretended that it was easiest work he'd ever done. Oh, I could probably do this with my eyes closed! So Cam closed his eyes and tried writing on the piece of parchment with the quill. But he heard something on the table.

When he opened his eyes he saw the ink... aaallll over the table. Shooot. He tried to get it put it all back in its case but only managed to have ink all over his hands. NUUUUU.

Kira walked around and looked a quiet spot. She smiled and sat down at one of the tables as far away as possible from anyone else. She looked over and saw a small boy who seemed to have spilled ink on him. She laughed and took out her book of Magical Creatures. She sighed. She couldnt have thought of anything better than this. She enjoyed reading. It took her mind off work and the drama at home. She turned the page of her book and kept on reading.

Jake trudged into the Library study area looking downright miserable. Ink was smudged all over his left hand and there was a little on his neck and left earlobe. In his clean hand, to ensure they weren't spoiled with ink (though it didn't matter, as that's how his hand got all inky in the first place) were Jake's Arithmancy notes.

Peering into the room, Jake noticed a familiar figure; his friend Cameron. He'd said they'd meet soon at the Library, and here they both were. As Jake sneaked up, he noticed Cameron had made a mess with the ink. Crouching down to his sitting height, Jake murmured in his friend's ear, "Tut tut, befouling the tables."

Hopefully that'll make the boy jump. Serves him right, getting Slytherin all them points.

Cameron spotted a girl and sighed in relief. If it was a professor then he would've been dead for ruining school property. Yup. Yup. Oh when would they learn how to get-rid-of-ink-on-a-table spell in Charms? Then Jake suddenly came in the library and all he could do was just keep putting his hands over the black ink. He suddenly forgot that he told Jake to come and it was too bad he had to see him in... this situation.

AAH!! Now the ink had started going down on his arm and went on his robes. He looked like a boy making some mud-pies with ink! My Slythie robes! They didn't seem to come off his clothing. Well, the robes were already black so it didn't really matter right? So he decided to smear all of the ink on his hands on his robes.

"Jaaaaake," he called. "Have another set of ink?"

Damian entered the Library and took a seat on the table.

*I hope I can answer the first question thought he*

He took his homework parchmanet and opened the Arithmancy textbook.

Nancy was slowly strolling into the Library which was something she very rarely did. She hated libraries, they sort of creeped her out. Oh, well, she'd already voluntarily been in the Student Garden this term so it wasn't that surprising to find her in the library as well. Nancy was still sort of confused about what had happened the other day, her being all baffled and unable to say anything and all, and above all she was really exhausted from the Arithmancy she'd just had.

Her blue eyes darted around the room for something or someone to improve the fact that she was actually inside a library when they spotted a familiar face. Jake. Quickly striding over to where he was currently talking to another little boy she'd already seen around the Common Room Nancy's eyes widened slightly at the sight of the mess in front of the young Slytherin. "Gee! What have you done?!" She exclaimed as soon as she'd arrived the desk they were standing at.

"Yeah... I do have another set of ink," Jake answered. "Why do you ask... you have plenty, you must have loads to be able to take a shower in the stuff."

Jake looked down at Cameron, unamused. Ew, filthy. I ain't touching that, not no way, not no how.

Jake raised his hand to scratch the side of his face when he noticed the ink. "Getitoffme!!!!!" he squeaked, before noticing Nancy enter. Ooh, what year was she again? She might know a spell.

Frowning, Cam searched in his bag carefully so he won't stain any of his textbooks. Luckily he did have another one and so he took it out to replace the one he already ruined. Awwe he just wasted some sickles for spilling it! Oh no, what would his mother say if he she saw him do that? Oh he'd be grounded for months, months. Now his robes felt weirder once he'd put the ink on it. Why must this world be so awesome but mean at the same time? That, he didn't know.

A girl came in and went straight towards their table. Was she a Prefect!? There was no badge so he doubted it. It was safe so he explained it to her.

"Weeelll miss. I tried doing homework with my eyes closed and the ink spilled! And it's all over my robes now." Looking back at Jake, Cam laughed when the smudged-ink from his hand went on his face.

Damian looked up *Writing with eyes cloed what the ...* he thought. That couldn't go. He shacked his head.

Before the little Slytherin boy was able to answer, though, Jake started making a huge fuzz about the ink on his fingers and, as Nancy noticed upon taking a closer look, on his neck and left earlobe. Shushing the Hufflepuff boy Nancy whispered, "Shut up, Jake! Or d'you want your little friend to get into trouble." The Librarian definitely wasn't going to be too happy about all the spilled ink on one of her desks. And above all, it was just ink for crying out loud.

With a small roll of her eyes Nancy's attention was caught by the little Slytherin boy who'd apparently decided to tell her the truth about how he'd managed to change the desk into a black inky something. Miss? She wasn't that much older than him. Giving him a small smile she just opened her mouth to introduce herself as she shut it again with a snap! He'd tried to do what?! Exchanging a surprised look with Jake Nancy finally looked back to the little Slytherin boy asking him in utter disbelief, "Why did you try to write with your eyes closed?!" Boys.

Jake was shocked and shut up immediately. Did she just shout at him? His face was probably visibly astounded. "I can't help it," he murmured. "It's just the way I am. And it's not like I shouted..."

Hmph!!!!!

Let him get in trouble. Jake was itching to say it, but it was out of annoyance with Cameron at the moment, so he refrained. "Probably trying to prove he was more capable than doing something trivial like homework," Jake said. Not quite managing to hold his tongue. "Sorry, but some of us struggle enough without seeing this... and did you actually take the phrase 'do it with your eyes shut' seriously?" Jake asked, incredulous. "That's something I would do."

Smiling, Jake moved round to sit opposite Cameron, where the ink hadn't quite reached, well aware he was mood-swinging like a pregnant woman.

Cam did NOT want to get in trouble, not at all. He's probably the person that's earned the highest points in his house! If he does then all of that participation was for nothing. He made a signal to be keep the voices down low. They had to get rid of the mess before any of the adults saw this. They had to! Once the girl asked why the heck he would do it he felt embarrassed. It really was a stupid thing to do.

"Since I thought that it would be easy," he said and admitted. Really, he's seen some people back in the muggle world do it. Yet he couldn't.

He looked back at Jake who was obviously doing his neat-freakiness personality again. At least he didn't have it all over his robes.

Nancy had to smirk slightly at the incredulous look Jake had just given her. Nodding in false sympathy the 13-year-old said, her eyes moving towards the ink-stain on Jake's neck while contemplating over whether or not to tell him about it, "Yes, I know. You just can't help it. It's just the way you are." The slight hint of sarcasm in her voice was almost impossible to miss, though.

Once again Jake was the one to answer her question first, before the little Slytherin boy she still didn't know the name of. Just as she was about to say something about how Jake never let the little guy answer himself Nancy couldn't help it, she just had to chuckle at Jake's sarcastic remark. "Exactly. He can't be that stupidl. It's something you would do, after all." Grinning at Jake she watched the boy taking a seat as far away from all the spilled ink as possible before Nancy turned back to face the little Slytherin boy again.

Rolling her eyes slightly at the little one's explanation Nancy decided to not comment on it, though, but just pulled out her wand and pointing it at the mess murmured, "Scourgify." Watching as all the ink slowly started to vanish Nancy plopped down on one of the chairs as well and giving the little Slytherin a small smile introduced herself, "I'm Nancy, by the way."

Then facing the two boys again Nancy asked with one of her eyebrows raised into a frown since she'd just now been reminded of where exactly she was at the moment, "So, what had brought you two here, in the first place?"

Jake nodded, pleased. "Thank you for understanding," he replied, totally missing the sarcasm. People here just didn't understand how much of total idiot he was. It was nice to have someone believe him.

Hang on... "Are you saying I'm smart... or thick? Or neither?" Strange person. Jake resisted the urge to poke here, but it would probably invoke some monster-like transformation.

Then the ink was gone. Huzzah! Jake noticed it was still smudged on his left hand and now his right from where it had rubbed off of his notes.

"Well, I'm here to finish my Arithmancy homework early, so I have time to focus on the rest and don't get a stupid backlog," Jake answered her. "And to think, I was looking forward to the class. It's not even the topic that I don't understand, it's the way Professor Shackleton phrased it, and the questions in the homework."

Jake spread his totally ink smudged notes over the tables. They were almost totally unintelligible, unless you recognised his left handed scrawl and had xray vision through the purple inkstains. "And this doesn't help my cause..."

Cam laughed quietly at Nancy who was talking to Jake. That boy took everything so serious. But Jake was Jake and he couldn't really stop him from doing that. Even he could hear the sarcasm in the girl's voice. He was surprised to see that she took out her wand. Oh know was she going to hurt him with the doodly magic? He took it as a threat and closed his eyes in fear once she said the spell.

He opened them again only to see that all of the ink, on the table and on his robes were disappearing. That was good, he didn't want to go wash it or something.

"Thaaanks. I'm Cam," he greeted to her. In his mind he could only think of when he'd learn that spell in class one day.

Damian sighed once and pack away his Arithmancy homework. *that was easy thought he*

He pack everything in his sidebag "Bye" said he before leaving the Library.

Now it was Nancy's turn to give Jake an incredulous look upon hearing the pleased voice in which he answered. Withoug even the slightest hint of sarcasm in his voice. Gee! He'd actually taken her seriously! Hearing Cam's chuckle Nancy took that as a confirmation and smirked slightly at that discovery. Jake was one of those people who wouldn't even detect sarcasm if the person he was talking to wore robes saying Beware, Sarcasm ahead!. Oh, this was going to be interesting...

Are you saying I'm smart... or thick? Or neither? That was a quite interesting question to ask which Nancy chose not to properly answer, though. Instead she said with a small wink, "Who knows?" Then out of the corner of her eyes Nancy noticed that Cam had actually closed his eyes looking pretty frightened as she'd drawn her wand to clean up the mess. Did she actually look like someone who would hex a fellow Slytherin?! Well, apart from Hailey.

He had apparently lost his fear of her, though, as soon as he'd seen the now clean table plus his now unstained robes. Grinning at Cam Nancy answered truthfully, "Well, nice to meet you, Cam" before pulling out her own Arithmancy stuff. Staring at the parchments Jake had placed onto the table Nancy's facial expression changed into a rather smug one while she finished Jake's sentence, "...this sort of looks like it was related to Ancient Runes not Arithmancy." She smirked at him before she adding, "Well, I guess we could do that homework together, though. What d'you think?"

Whadya mean who knows?! Jake's eyes went a little wide as they always did when he couldn't get an answer. You, girl, are evil!

Jake ran his hand through his hair, which made it all stick up with the purple ink still on his hands which he'd forgotten about. "I am terrible when it comes to taking notes, especially at speed. And this is my neat copy. My rough ones look like I painted my notes on them with a paint roller..." Jake explained, close to groaning. "I actually plan to do Ancient Runes," he groaned. "I suck at schooling things... but yeah, I suppose we can. I'm working on question 1, and I did question 3... so... yeah..." Rambler!

Like he freak he waved a hello towards Nancy even though she was just inches away from him. He looked back onto his parchment and only wrote his name, the date, and what kind of homework subject it was. Now on to the work which was extremely difficult. Sure he got a few answers correctly in the class but the work was a lot harder. It just didn't make any sense for him. Taking out his notes, Cam nodded every now and then when looking at the homework sheet.

He turned to Jake and was almost to the brink of laughing when he noticed his hair. It was like purple-black! And the ink made it look spiky of some sort.

Poke. Poke. Poke. He poked Jake's hair three times and laughed. "Huh? Ancient Runes? I haven't read any of its textbooks yet."

M'kay.. Library. That means quiet, right?

Being as quiet as a very hyperactive fifteen year old on sherbert could manage, Poppy Sunrise, took her book on trolls, yes, trolls, and found an empty spit in the study area. Grinning at the cover of the book, she opened it before she laughed out loud. One could never depict at troll, and make it look unhumourous. Which was a shame when it came to studying them.

Now she was inside of it, it was a lot less interesting. She sighed, sat back, and harrumphed.

Why trolls?!

Helena walked in and sat down at a vacant table, still smiling with her bright blue eyes as much as she had been a moments before. She stared out the window where the sun had just set and smiled yet again.

The library had been the place where Chase could be found at alot last year. He entered it and gave a look around. He didnt have anything to study just yet because classes hadnt started but he saw a slightly familar face. Walking over he sat by Helena and whistled. He looked everywhere but her but couldnt help but give a half smile.

Livvy walked towards the study area as she scanned for a book. She hummed a tune softly as her hand gently touched the titles of the books. Her hand stopped at a promising one and she picked it up and sat down at an empty table and began to read.

Helena grinned and kept looking out the window when she heard the chair beside her move and someone plop into it. Looking for someone? she asked vaguely, then grinned wider, blue eyes sparkling, and looked at Chase.
