Tall bookshelves are scattered throughout the library, the smooth wood gleaming brightly in the sun that shines in through the stained glass windows. Tens of thousands of books rest upon the shelves, all waiting to be explored by eager minds. They stretch along the walls, filling each shelf and dark corner. A catalogue system has been put in place to ensure that finding and retrieving a book becomes a simple task, for the sheer amount of books can be overwhelming, particularly to the youngest of students.

At the end of the first few bookshelves in the front of the library sits a pedestal. An open book with a soft golden light emitting from it, has been placed upon the pedestal. As you approach the book, you hear a rustling and then a gentle pop. “Come closer, come closer. Don’t be afraid.” A jolly voice speaks.

When you finally do peek into the pages of a book, an elderly gentleman peers out at you, one hand rising to adjust his spectacles. “Now. What book is it that you seek? I can give you a general location or a more specific one if you know the exact title of the book.”

Once you speak your request, the man ponders for a few moments before scribbling on a piece of parchment. Squinting at what he has written, he looks back up and smiles, before speaking the location of the book. “Happy reading!” He exclaims before settling back down into a still flat image.

OOC: Please note that the jolly man is for entertainment purposes only. I will not be RPing him each time a student approaches asking for a book.

"Me? I'm from the states, Australia and England. Well, I lived in the states for six years, then Australia for a year and now England. I was born here, moved from here to the US when I was six," he said with a small grin. "Paris? Classy place," he added, his grin widening.

Jenn whistled softly. "Wow! You've been busy moving around. Lucky me, I've only moved once. Of coarse, I don't know if you would concider it lucky. I only had one friend outside of family."she said, sighing. "And he moved away."she added, frowning slightly. Jenn nodded. "Oh yes. Very classy."she said, rolling her eyes quickly.

Jess tilted his head to the side slightly. All this time they'd been chatting the small place in the back of his mind that had been long lost forgotten seven years ago was begining to open up again. He remembered her face, her voice, her name, and then there was her saying that her friend had moved away. He'd had a friend called Jenn before, a long time ago, when he was living in England before he'd moved to the USA. "I know you," he said quietly. Realising what he just said must have sounded stupid he hastened to explain, "I mean from before I moved to the US,"

Jenn titled her head to the side. "You know, I think I know you too. Before you moved away."she whispered. Then she grinned. "Jess? Oh Jess! I haven't seen you in ages!"she yelled, quickly hugging him tightly. "I can't believe your back!!!"she whispered in his ear.

Jesse laughed slightly as she hugged him, "I can't believe it's you!" he whispered back. "I thought I'd never see you again," He paused for a second, a small frown appearing on his face, "Hang on, how come you never told me you were a witch?" His frown turned into a grin to show her he was only joking.

Jenn shrugged. "My parents told me not too. That's why, otherwise I would of."she said, grinning. "Besides! You never told me you were a wizard so ha!"she said, giggling. "So, not pry or anything, but how is the family?"she asked, her eyes wide with excitment.

Jesse laughed. He hadn't done that in a while, "Touché," he said, giving her a playful nudge.

"Oh, the family's great, really good, apart from the bills and the money and the arguments, we're doing pretty good. Annabelle, you remember her. Six years old, about yeigh high..." he said, indicating her height with his hand, "...dark hair, brown eyes. Anyway, she talks about you all the time, even though she never actually knew you," he said with a small chuckle. "Penny and Nora are as annoying as ever, mum's fine and so's dad. So...We're pretty ok. What about you? Your sister still giving you hell?"

Jenn laughed and nudged him back, her eyes twinkling with happiness.

Jenn grinned. "Touched. That's so sweet of her."she said, still smiling. "Ya, they were always a bit annoying. I'm glad you guys are doing ok." She nodded. "Oh, all of the sister's are giving me it. Especially Helia, cause she's getting married to this pointing nosed person."she said, chuckling. "Frin, Hilion, and Devon are all doing great. They're as tall as ever. And dad's job is paying him well, so we're all doing good in money wise. Oh and mum's pregnant with a baby girl. So ya."she ended, taking a deep breath. "Nothing interesting."she shrugged.

Jesse rolled his eyes, "I guess that's sisters for you. Mine aren't exactly pleasant either, but Nora's going to college soon thank god," he said with a small smile, "A pointy nose bloke? It sounds like she has a great taste in men," he said sarcastically, with a small chuckle. "Penny's still drooling over her crush. At first it was just a picture by her bed. You remember, she used to kiss it goodnight before she went to bed. But now her whole bedroom is covered in posters of him. His name's Jimmy Grundler or something like that,"

She laughed. "Don't sound too happy about her going away. They might get idea's."she said, winking. "Oh yes. Great taste. He's horrible. Rich and snobby like my sister. I guess they're perfect for each other."she commented, rolling her eyes. She chuckled. "Oh I remember. So all over her room now huh? Someone's a little too in love. I'm drooling's one thing, but poster's? I feel bad for the guy if the pictures make him look fat."she giggled.

"Sounds like your sister in guy form," he said with a grin, "Well, give her my congrats...Actually, I'd prefer if you didn't. He sounds like a right old git, if you don't mind me saying, but don't tell him I said that," he added under his breath.

Jesse laughed, "He doesn't even know she exists...In fact, I'm not even sure that he even exists. I think she just made him up because no one wants to go out with her. He's just her invisible friend who she can gloat to Nora about," He sighed, "Sisters, life wouldn't be the same without them,"

Jess sighed slightly, "I wish I had a brother. You're lucky, you got three. All I have is a dog called Jaden, an owl called Yugi and three of the most annoying sisters in the world. Do you ever wish your life was...different?" he asked, turning to look at her.

She giggled. "Your welcome then."she said, rolling her eyes at his face.

"I don't know about lucky, just um, fortunate. I have a dog too name Lakia, a horse named Chaos, a owl named Ocean, a kitten named Luna, and a piggmy-puff named Rave."she said, chuckling at her long list of animals. She nodded looking him straight in the face. "Sometimes I do. Like someone would love me, or give me ten pumpkin pasties."she said, giggling at the the candy part. "Why do you ask?"she questioned.

Jenn nodded. "Yes. How would you ever survive without me!"she said dramatically. Then she sighed. "All my parents talk about is what they can get. They don't realize that what they already have is good enough. All my dad does is work work work. And my mum is set on making me a lady."she said, shaking her head.

"You? A proper sophisticated lady?" he said, with a playful grin. "My dad's intent on making me a farmer. Personally, I'd prefer to go into anime art. You know what I'm talking about?" he said, tilting his head to the side slightly.

Jenn laughed along with him. "See? Am I good, or am I good?"she asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Ya. I can't imagine that either."she agreed shaking her head. "You? A farmer? Wow, no offense but I can't see you as that."she said, her eyes wide. She nodded. "I think so. I've seen um, TV shows of it. I think you would be good at it."she said, smiling warmly.

She sighed, feeling a little subdued pre-candy and post- weird Plymouth situation; but she brightened slightly thinking about the reading she was about to do. Cela opened her journal and started making notes about what she knew about different grains for mash.

Copernicus took the sheet and read it over. "This provides excellent information in addition to what we've already started gathering. I found that most whiskies are made of barley, corn, or rye mash, which are all easy to get. But I did find an article about fermenting apple juice that I think could help us. It should only take about three weeks for that, so maybe butterbeer wouldn't take much longer." He nudged the sugar quill at her.

"It would be neat to try barley, corn, rye, maize and wheat mash to see which the foals prefer." Celandine noted, her eyes darting to the sugar quill again. She looked up at Copernicus with interest at the mention of fermenting apple juice, "That would be interesting, what about berries? Or other fruit? Then we could try mixing it with butterbeer and seeing which mix the abraxan foals like best!" Celandine looked down at Cope's fingers as he pushed the sugar quill towards her, her dark eyes darting up to meet his with a hopeful and questioning look even while her fingers slowly crawled toward the sugar quill.
