Lesson Two - Mythology of Runes Alessia entered the classroom and cleared the room of all desks and chairs... that was it... nothing. It was an empty classroom. She nodded to herself and ran around the room. She yelled at the top of her lungs... and smiled. Perfect. "Red Leather, Yellow Leather, Red Leather, Yellow Leather..." and as she messed up her third time she giggled and jumped up and down. She then sat on the floor and waited for the students to enter. |
Celandine had been busy eating candy. Christmas candy. She got a LOT of it. So she was chock full of artificial happiness. "Hello Professor Lupa!" Cela greeted happily, she liked the runes professor a whole bunch. Cela didn't even bat an eyelid at the lack of furniture, rather she did a little twirl and sat on the ground with her legs tucked under her. She adjusted her gloves and waited happily for the class to fill up and the lesson to begin. |
Copernicus entered the room and was actually quite frightened to find it nearly empty. Eek! What if she asked about the duel? He lurked in the middle of the room, sort of close to Cela... but protectively. Guardian-like. |
Dominic entered the runes classroom astonished to find it completely empty, with the exception of the young blond professor sitting on the floor and a claw boy in the middle of the room, head buried in his text. Plopping down gently next to the boy, the Hufflepuff watched with ease for a moment before deciding it was time to introduce himself. "Dominic Denton, Hufflepuff. Pre-lesson studying?" Oh dear; this boy was one of them bookworms. But speaking of bookworms ... there was Cel-an-dine, all hyped up on sugar, no doubt from her broad grin. |
Amanda headed into the classroom and noticed the lack of furniture, what was Professor Lupa doing? She shrugged the thought off and sat down on the floor, crossing her legs and setting her bag down beside her. This should be an interesting class, she wondered what Professor Lupa had in store for the class this time. |
So she was going to try this again. Hopefully the professor was not too wacky and wanted to hex more students, Lyra was not in the mood to duck and run. She walked into the classroom...there were no desks. Blink...blinkblinkblink She stood as close to the door as she could...in case of an emergency someone had to get the Headmaster. |
She walked into the classroom looking around for Professor Lupa, she had heard some strange things about her lately. She raised her eyebrow when she saw that she was sitting on the floor. She suppressed a giggle and and found a place to sit. She glanced at Denton and Cela as she did. |

And oh all these people she knew that might possibly have candy! Cela offered a wave at Amanda, Lyra and Paris before looking back to the professor in obvious excitement for the class to start. Runes was fab! |
"Afternoon!" She said to the students as they entered. "I am going to wait for the rest of the class to get here... but while you are waiting, please feel out the classroom... walk around explore..." She pointed to an empty corner of the classroom. "There is a castle to explore..." she pointed to the other end of the empty classroom, there is a dragon on this side." She said waiting for the rest. |
Stepping quietly into the room, Raiden looked at the Professor and tried to smile. He hoped that she wasn't mad at him for what had happened before...What was she doing? She was sitting on the floor. Maybe... she was just a bit odd? Like Professor Truebridge? Spotting Celandine Toussaint, he headed towards her, only to see that there was already a boy with her. And she was looking at the Hufflepuff prefect and motioning for him to come sit with her. Oops. Looking around for anyone else he knew... he spotted no one, and thus stood awkwardly off to the side of the room. |

Standing up, the fifth year scooted down just a bit ways and took a seat on the other side of the younger claw. Better sitting next to her than someone else. Ooh, there was Lyra! He needed to speak to her - not now of course, but soon... |
Tobi entered the classroom, nodding to Copernicus, smiling at Cela. He noted the presence of Dominic Denton, Hufflepuff Prefect, but unlike Copernicus, he didn't consider him a threat to Cela merely because he carried a y-chromosome. Tobi chose to sit near Cela where he could keep a watch on her. It was easier than watching every boy in school, and perhaps a better use of his time. Cela had an awful knack for getting into mischief with or without the assistance of the male population. |
Abby walks into the classroom and pulls out her wand. "Don't worry Professor Lupa, I'll slay that dragon for you." |

No no no! They were NOT going to slay dragons and climb castles unless her Prince Charming was going to be there. "Umm...is there a need to slay imaginary dragons," Lyra asked with a confused look on her face as she glanced between the Hufflepuff and Professor Lupa. |

"'lo," he said softly, giving a wave to the boys who were sitting with her. "I'm Raiden... nice to meet you all." He looked at Celandine. "It's okay if I sit here with you? I wouldn't want to be in the way at all..." |
Oh good! Cela knew she was safe to sit next to Dom-in-ick, he wasn't a skin toucher. She mouthed hello at him and looked up to see Tobi plant himself close by too. How neat! Dom-in-ick, Tobi, Raiden and Cope ! And they were all so nice and smart and... it made one nice and smart and cool person from each house! Super! Celandine giggled a little, "Raiden you aren't in the way!" tugging gently on the pink ribbon in her hair, Cela leaned forward to see past Dom-in-ick and smile brightly at Paris, "Hi! How are you? Wouldn't it be cool if there were real dragons? Professor Truebridge says he used to work with dragons and there are pictures all over his office. But shhh don't tell him I like Professor Lupa better!" Cel closed her eyes and sat back again, imagining dragons and her fearless pirate crew with their fearless leader fighting it off to save the helpless damsel in distress. Garret as the fearless leader and Daphne as the helpless Damsel. Hmmm, wonder what all this had to do with runes? Cela's eyes flew open and she looked at Professor Lupa expectantly. |

Cam uneasily walked into the Ancient Runes classroom when he realized that there weren't really any desks anywhere. It seemed scary, even though that other students were in the room too. A classroom that didn't look like a classroom, wasn't that illegal?! He had the urge to tell that professor right away but hesitated and dare didn't ask as to not make her get arrested or something. Ha. She should have thanked him. Following the other students, he started walking around the classroom and attempted to whistle. Well he at least attempted and nothing really came out. Or, well basically no sound came out of his mouth. Continuing to walk around, he hummed in his mind and then started playing with his fingers. Dumdedumdeduumm. |

He slowly entered and saw the Professor. "Great day we have here, right Professor?" he said and then walked towards the window to hang around. |
Dominic turned his head to his other side as the devil herself came and plopped herself down on the other side of him. Oh for the love of Merlin! Did she have to be all sappy like too with that facade she wore? Here he thought he was safe next to Cel-an-dine, for which he was until Ms Queen-of-I-Think-I'm-Better-Than-You sat down next to him. Right. Be nice. Be a role model. Be a Hufflepuff. "Just great," he replied simply enough, offering a return smile. Yes. He could be nice, when he wanted to. Sometimes. But one wrong move on her part . . . Oh good, another boy sat down next to him, who introduced himself as Raiden and seemed to know Cel-an-dine. Who didn't know her? Well certainly all the boys did, judging from the gathering of y-chromosomes nearby her. "Nice to meet you as well," Dom nodded nonchalantly. "I'm Dominic." Listening in as Cela spoke over him to Paris, Dom tilted his head slightly to the side, shocked she liked Lupa better. Then again, he shouldn't be too surprised as he could definitely see a bit of similarities between the Runes Professor and the young Claw... |

Qaz entered and found a place in the back to sit....and wondered why the Professor was on the floor. She had to admit, class certainly weren't dull this year. |
Herminny entered the Ancient Runes classroom surprised to find there were no tables and chairs in the classroom, she had come in just as the Proffessor Lupa said the room was a castle and she happened to be standing on the side a dragon was said to be on. Herminny yelped and quickly crossed to the other side of the room thinking this could be fun to imagine the room being a castle, there were so many of them in history but honestly how many of them really had a dragon on the other side but it certainly made this whole imaginative lesson a heck of a lot more intresting. |
