Anna turned back to Cale and rolled her eyes once again in Professor Truebridge's direction. "Can we continue kissing?" she asked, lightly enough so that he hopefully wouldn't hear. She cracked up in soft laughter and then looked up at Cale once again. "Well, he did say to continue with whatever we like---didn't he? Pucker up, babe." She hung her head and laughed softly again. The fact that school was ending soon and they'd soon start their lives as adults had certainly taken its toll on the two of them. They were living life on the edge---the very edge---of danger. Anna's parents would kill her if they ever found out about this, though.

The professor wasn't serious about detention, though---was he? I mean she was Anna Greingoth. She never got into real trouble, so she wouldn't this time...right?

Cale's mouth fell open for the third time in 2 minutes.

Detention?!?

DETENTION?!?????

No! There was no way this was happening! He had never expected this to happen--he had thought he'd lose a few more points, for certain, but it would have all been worth it since he was obviously defending himself. But he had never anticipated being punished so severely that they would be sentenced to DETENTION!

OHMIGOSH. His future boss would definitely frown upon this. Oh, and his mum! She'd have a massive panic attack when she heard word of this. And once it finally made way to Ezra's ears--oh Merlin, he would never hear the end of it.

Or, wait--DID they get detention? Cale had simply heard the word and just freaked out. But perhaps they hadn't been assigned detention...after all, what professor let them go study once they got punished and sentenced to the dungeons? Perhaps they had gotten lucky and not been punished after all...

As Anna started talking again, Cale snorted with laughter. "ANNA!" he quietly scolded, trying to hold in his laughter and failing horribly at it. "We really shouldn't, it would be against the RULES apparently," he added with a small wink. There was no way the professor could have heard them, they were practically just mouthing the words.

Ethan shook his head in disappointment. "I'll see you both in the dungeons in two hours. Because I'm nice enough to allow you the opportunity to let your peers know that Gryffindor house will not have either prefect available to them for as long as it takes for the two of you to learn some respect. If either of you say another word, I'll have to take more points. 5 points per word I think ought to do it. So anything to say? No?"

Cale blinked in shock. Somewhere in his mind, his brain was scolding him for being probably one of the stupidest human beings on Earth right now--he just HAD to go push his luck with the old man, didn't he? And now, he really DID have detention and all the panic from before was slowly starting to take over his nervous system once again. His mouth was shut so tightly out of fear of losing more points that he could feel his lips going numb.

You just HAD to open your big mouth, didn't you Newell? You're an idiot. Really. You should just turn in your badge now.

He hadn't even begun to THINK about how angry his fellow housemates would be. And Alexis would most likely hunt them down and kill them when she found out they'd be missing practice. In a state of numb shock, he shook his head to show that he understood the Professor's threat to dock more points, and he tried to think of the punishment Truebridge would have in store for them.

Erm...OOPS.

Well now THAT wasn't supposed to be the ending to Anna and Cale's little brief walk on the dangerous side of life. Anna had always gotten away with everything, including flirting with the man who'd just sentenced her to a detention! In her fourth year, Anna had casted Glisseo on the Gryffindor house table, causing it to transform itself into a slide. Afterwards, she'd jumped on the high end of it and slid all the way down. Had she gotten into trouble for that? Nope! Not even the first point had been lost! A few weeks ago, Anna had assisted a group of troublemakers in icing down an entire corridor, just waiting for someone to come by and slip and slide their way through the school. Had she gotten into any trouble for that either? Nope! None at all! Suddenly, her luck was changing. She was...was...was...

...in detention.

Holy Merlin!

This was not good.

This was so not good!

Not only that, she couldn't even talk or she'd lose five points per word! Her eyes threatening to spill over in tears, Anna nodded to the professor, indicating that she understood that enough was enough, and she'd now pay for it. She'd have to report to the dungeons in two hours...forfeiting any house points she could have earned by attending any classes that would be held during that time span.

Sigh.

"Good." Ethan nodded, "Now if you excuse me, I'm hungry." Truebridge stepped past them and tickled the pear before stepping into the kitchen in search of a snack.

*Gabben stormed out of the common room with his arms folded. He needed to find his friends now. He was hoping to ask Kayla a question but he had to ask Kyle first. Even though he knew Kyle wouldn't mind.*

Lucy walked down the kitchen corridor. She was so busy reading her book that she didnt see a boy walking in the opposite direction. She collided with him, knocking the book onto the floor and her face smacking on to the floor.

*Turning the corner a girl and him ran into each other hard. He fell right on his bum and hit his head hard on the wall.*
"Ahhh!"
*He rubbed the back of his head then saw what he ran into.*
"I'm so sorry, you okay?"

*He grabbed her book and held a hand out to her to help her up.*

Lucy groaned. Her nose hurt bad. She lifted her head to see a boy, close to her age. She took his hand. "Dont be sorry, it was my fault." She said. "My nose just hurts a bit. Thanks." She smiled.

*He raised an eye brow and frowned. He didn't remember hitting her nose. He shrugged it off and smiled handing her the book she had dropped.*
"I'm Gabben Gardner... you dropped this."

Lucy fixed her hair and took the book. "Thanks." She said. "Im Lucy Porter, 4th year Slytherin. She said smiling a bit. Of course her house was obvious, considering it was on her robes.

She giggled. "Its not bitter when you add sugar and cream, and tea has caffeine in it too." She pointed out. She followed as the girl lead her toward the kitchen. All those familiar smells were wafting up to her nose. It made her smile. She raised an eyebrow, "A man with a dog?" She asked. There wee plenty of crups around the castle, but none of them were dogs. "Oh wait Professor Masterson has a muggle dog, Roma." She said brightly.

*Gabben laughed a little and pointed to his robes.* "5th year Hufflepuff."
*He looked over at the book she took from him.*
"What are you reading?"

Lucy looked down at her book. "It's called For Metamorphagus: How To Prevent Your Eyes from Changing Color. She said starting to walk slowly down the corridor. She looked back down at the book. "My father sent it to me."

"Why would your father send that to you?" *Gabben laughed a little then remembered that Kyle might want to have a look at that book.*

“Professor Masterson you say?” She paused thinking. Mmm…never seen him with one, but it could be worth checking out. She was still trying to follow up on the image she had seen in her crystal ball. If only her premonition hadn’t come while scrying and instead while casting sortes. Sortilege was something that came rather easy for her. As it was, she would probably have to go up to the library to find a book to figure out the images from the scrying. Maybe she was on the wrong path even and the man with a dog was a symbol like in Tasseography. “I didn’t know he had a dog. What kind is it?”

She nodded. "Yeah and I think Professor Truebridge has a dog, but I don't know I don't go to his classes too much." She said with a shrug. Why was this girl asking about a man with a dog, that had to be the weirdest thing ever to ask about. "I'm not really sure what sort of dog Roma is. I've never seen it." She honestly told her. "Why do you want to know?" She wanted to be nosy right now.

Aggie shrugged a little. “I saw something in my crystal ball about a man with a dog. I’m trying to figure out why I saw what I saw.” She paused. The hallway up ahead was a bit crowded. This could pose a problem for the food getting, she thought looking around. And then she spotted Gabben. She gave him a wave then turned and faced the girl next to her. “I’m not much of a scryer. Now give me some sortes and I’ll knock steal your socks off.”

She raised and eyebrow as she looked at the girl. "Oh ok. Your crystal ball can't tell you?" She asked. She didn't like divination and didn't honestly believe in it. Even though she hated Artimancy it seemed more grounded in truth than looking into a crystal ball. "What are sortes?" She asked curiously. Even though she didn't like divination she was intrigued.

I have no idea why he would send it to me. But im glad he did. That way my emotions wont be given away. Im a metamorphmagus so my eye color changes with my emotions. Watch this." She blinked and her once green eyes turned to a bright yellow. "What color are they?" She asked looking at Gabben.

*He frowned and rubbed his chin.*
"Hmmm goldish yellow. More of a yellow now. Thats cool! My best mate is a metamorphmagus."

We'll lets see, if there yellowish that means im happy. Which i am." She said. She opened her book bag, placing the book inside. When Gabben mentioned his friend was a metamorphamagus as well, she looked at him. "Really? So im not the only one." She said hopefully. She had always wanted to meet another metamorphamagus, besides her father and grandmother. Her eyes turned to a light brown. The eagerness written all across her face.

"From what I know there are a lot out in the world. They just hide it from others. Thats what my grandfathers says anyway."
*He shrugged and smiled at her eagerness.*

Lucy smiled back. "Well I hope to meet your friend sometime." She said. She continued walking down the corridor. She stopped and looked at Gabben. "I was going to go down to the lake when I literally ran into you. Wanna come?" She asked. "Im bored and woundnt mind some company." She added.
