UH. Savannah's face fell, not understanding a word of what the little boy was trying to say. Why he wasn't talking properly was another good question, one that she was not about to ask. That would be a stupid idea, clearly. "I have no idea what you're saying." She said, looking sympathetic. The hufflepuff glanced over to the staff table, and back to the boy with the curls. Since he couldn't explain the problem,.. "Want me to get a Professor for help?" Wait, hadn't he been put here by a Professor? If an older student had done it (because a younger one wouldn't be so skilled) a Professor would have intervened.

Curls bounced around as he shook his head again. "Yayaya!" He told her, pointing at his mouth. He then opened his mouth, showing her that his tongue was stuck on the roof of his tongue. "Yayayayeay!" Willie then pointed at the old Professor. His face fell for a few moments, but then he smiled remembering how the man saved him. "Yayeyay."

Pointing at his butt, Willie demonstrated how he seemed to be stuck. He tried to stand up, but he wasn't able to. Frowning, he pointed at his mouth and then at his butt and back at the Professor. "YAA!"

Melanie grinned. Good, she understood her strange fear of chickens. Birds are okay, but chickens? They're possessed. "Yup, me my dad and brother live in an apartment near times square." she said, nodding. "It's great there. It really stinks that they're taking away your allowances, but at least you have a job.... even if it is baby sitting. I think I would much rather pet sit. When I turn fourteen I'm going to try to get a job at this board store down the store. I like skating." Melanie said thoughtfully, smiling at her memorys of flying down the alleys on her skateboard.

She was a bit surprised when she asked about her brother. "He's a bit older than me, fifteen. He can be really sweet and overprotective, but he also believes its his job to be a complete jerk." she said matter-oh-factly. "So," Melanie began returning to a casual tone. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?" she asked, tilting her head to the side, curiously.

"Aladdin is nice. I know what you mean about the movies." Melanie agreed. "I prefer the classics, but there both pretty good. I haven't really watched them alot lately." she admitted. Truth be told she hadn't watched them since she was 9 but Lanie loved the old story's. She just liked the book versions best.

"Readings great. I like fantasy.... I just don't like sci-fi much! My drawings are pretty good." she said humbly. "I normally draw people, but alot of times they are alone because I'm bad at making the people the same size." she giggled. Some Melanie had tried had been pretty awful.... at least in her opinion. Not anyone else's.

She was glad she wasn't feeling nervous about trying brooms out for no reason. Apparently Ema had been a bit frightened too. Good. Well... that sounded bad.... It made her feel relived. Melanie really wanted to be a good flyer but she was clumsy. She knew she would try anyway though. Even if it did mean crashing into a tree or something. Melanie looked utterly puzzled when Ema began speaking about Quidditch, much like when she first heard the word Muggle. "Huh.." she began but, Emalyn cleared it up in a matter of seconds. So it was a sport... in the air. Sounded fun. Melanie had never really been on a sports team unless you counted being signed up for football by your dad at the age of 7. She had never really played, just gotten run over and her small size wasn't exactly to her advantage even if she was good at catching and all that stuff. Melanie shuddered. "Sounds fun, Can I borrow the book?" she asked eagerly. She was curious about everything magic and this, It was most definitely magic.

"That would be great!" exclaimed Melanie a bit too excited.



Melanie smiled warmly at Ossia. " That would be great. Whats your owl like?" she asked. "I have a dog and a cat. Momos with me.... I sppose she's waiting in the dorm. I hope nobody left any food out.... or any rats." she murmured. How wonderful would it be if her cat ate her roommate's pet? Melanie bit her lip, not good at all. She wondered why Ossia didn't write her family, but tried not to linger on it.

"I can't wait!" Melanie exclaimed. "I hope I'm good..." she trailed off.

"Nice to meet you to!" Melanie said flashing the older girl a smile.

Her thoughts returned to her previous worrys about her fluffy black cat. Plus pretty much everyone had left. Melanie jumped up knocking her chair over as well as a full plate of food. "Oops!" She blushed crimson and frantically picked her food up, wiping the floor with some napkins. "I'd better go. Nice talking to you guys! See you around! Bye." she said, waving to the two girls as she left the Hall.

Even though she knew he knew she didn't understand any words coming out of his mouth, the little boy still tried. Realizing quickly he was trying to explain with his hands, Savannah concentrated on following his attempt. Oh! "Langlock?" She asked, her gaze returning briefly to the staff table where he pointed. And, he couldn't stand up. He was stuck with a sticking charm it seemed. "That Professor you pointed to did this." She concluded, not so much asking but saying outloud so he knew she wasn't dim and understood.

Now, what to do with him? If a Professor had done this, there must have been a reason. But they were now free to leave the feast, the little boy shouldn't be forced to sit there all night.. "Uhm," She couldn't undo the charms herself, not without permission. Savannah was the last person that would go against a Professor. "How about I go up there and see if it's alright you be set free?" She offered Willie, rising from her seat on the bench.

Yes. She was not going to return, at least for this year. Or that's what Kaika thought. A s soon as they opened the Owlery she'll be sending her own owl to fetch for Rapunzel and get an answer out of this weirdness.

She nodded and smiled a bit at the second year, before taking a sip of a new goblet she'd taken. And grabbing a muffin for the Common Room. Ummm, maybe two.

Kaika laughed. Emalyn seemed to catch up that Dominic was clearly near-by. But she wasn't saying anything bad. Actually, there was nothing bad to say about the boy. Umm, yes, probably nothing.

She nodded. Havind her father in the Ministry now implied not been able to see him much, only at dinner time. So, if Trey did something relatively annoying, either her grandma or her grandpa will be taking care of that. "Yes, he's sort of lucky" she said, with a wink.

"That's the thing, I don't know how they are" sure, a few of them must be good people...but the new ones were precisely that...new.

Dominic turned back towards the small slytherin girl as he listened to her speak. Oh she was actually quite brilliant, which was to say the least, undeniable. Recognizing as only a first year the importance of house points and the vicious nature of her housemates.

"Exactly, you weren't doing anything wrong so I wouldn't worry too much," the fifth year told her consolingly. "Just take it easy and have a good time. No stress."

Giving the girl a weak smile, he then turned his attention towards the boy who started speaking to various people - eventually, him. Sighing, he blinked when the boy asked for help. "Um, sure?" But before he could react, the girl seemed to have taken care of his robes and everything.

Though it seemed as though everyone was filing out, so Dominic figured it was time for him as well. "Seems the feast is drawing to a close. Have a good night you two."

But just as he turned to leave the great hall, Dominic heard the cheerful voice of second year Miranda calling to him. Waving at her in return, he smiled weakly at his P.I.C. "Hey Miranda! Ready to head back to the common room?" He asked, but then realized something. Oh the boy was a first year hufflepuff! And he... he was PREFECT!!

"Um right. First year hufflepuffs, this way please," he called to the yellow students, rising and leading the way out of the great hall.

Melanie skidded 4 feet to a stop. She had just realized she was going to her dorm.... and had absolutely no clue where to go. Melanie grabbed a hold of the older kid's arm for balance and then let go, embarrassed. "Er... sorry bout that." she said awkwardly. "Didn't uh... wanna fall on my face." She grinned guilty. Melanie was lucky, very lucky she wasn't much bigger because with a 15 more pounds she may have knocked him to the ground. She was small for her age though, and short. At least she didn't have as far to fall... when she actually did fall, which Melanie normally did. She nervously ran a hand through her dark hair, hoping the older boy wasn't about to yell at her.

Gabe laughed as Ebony left his shoulder. "Well I guess he wouldn't..." Shaking his head at the owl he grinned. "You are going to the dark side Ebony...you remember that." Chuckling he looked at Adrianna and winked. "However I might be joining you..." Ivory nipped lightly at his ear before hopping off his shoulder and sitting on the edge of the table preening her feathers. "Yes...I actually hope that we get to meet this poltergeist. That would certainly be an adventure." Looking back at Adrianna, he smiled comfortingly. "Don't worry. I'll protect you. Not really sure how much an 11 year old wizard could do against a poltergeist, but at least you will know I'm here for support." He then heard her last statement about borrowing a book from a friend and he immediately remembered the train and his smile faded slightly. Unsure of why he was feeling jealous he shook his head and cleared his throat. "I'm sure that would be a big help to you."

Adrianna laughed, putting her hand over her mouth to quiet them. However, even her hand wasn't able to do much as Ebony responded to Gabe. Turning to face the boy, he raised a single wing, and looked at it, as if to indicate his already dark color. "Well, you know, the dark side does have cookies," Adrianna pointed out, her smile wide. And with that, she slipped a treat out of her pocket and fed it to her faithful owl. Ebony took it gently, then gobbled it up, satisfaction obvious in his expression. Adrianna laughed again as Ivory nipped Gabe. "You'd better watch, women tend to hold a grudge!" she said with a laugh. Adrianna reached over to grab a buttered roll, nibbling on it as Gabe continued. "Well, seeing as he's a poltergeist, I'm sure we'll be seeing him more than we want to," she pointed out after swallowing. She smiled at his protectiveness, a slight redness coming to her cheeks. "You'll be like the older brother I never had!" she told him with a broad smile. She was confused as Gabe's smile faded slightly. Was he not happy at her getting a hold of information? "I hope so... but don't worry, I'll always come to you with a question!" she assured, hoping his smile would return. She stroked Ebony to hide her nervousness. She would have hated it if she lost her first friend.
