Reese smiled when he said the other two could care less."So,are you ready for classes to start?"she asked him.She really was looking foward to meeting all the new Professors that have came to Hogwarts.Most of them looked pretty nice.

"Not at all" He said with a laugh. "Thats going to be one part of Hogwarts that I know I wont like" Reed said with a nod. "I never have been one for studies. I'd much rather be outside doing what ever I feel like instead of in a class" He knew that no matter how much he wanted to not go he would have to, he always did.

Cadence followed Sarah's gaze up to the staff table to look at the teachers. Some of them definitely looked more friendly than others. Cadence wasn't too worried about the classes though, she had always been very good at school, but she supposed this would be different. This wasn't all going to be about reading a book and taking a test. Do you ever miss home?

Jake had returned to the table just as the Headmaster's speech began. Gah that little spoon-on-glass thing was irritating to say the least. Thankfully the speech wasn't too drawn out, but the fact that most of these professors were new meant nothing to Jake, same as the other first years, and he would pick up on the names soon enough... hopefully.

The food appeared on Jake's plate and he suddenly realised he wasn't all that hungry. After a couple of bites, Jake screwed up his face and glanced up at the staff table, mainly that woman from Diagon Alley. How he longed for that green spiky hair to return and be permanent.

Not entirely sure if he was glaring or not, Jake stared up at this woman- Bunbury, was it?- who in turn had been staring down at the Hufflepuff table for quite a bit of the feast. Would she remember him? Jake wasn't totally sure, he had after all been sitting on the ground twitching like a total freak during the main confrontation. But she had been addressed by Trey for him and his purple shoes.

Glare.

She'd better remember.

Sarah sighed at the question. "Yeah I did to start with.I'd never been away from home before on my own..boarding or otherwise." she looked down at the food and stretched forward to pour herself some pumpkin juice.
"I got used to it though,once classes started and you make friends.Plus you get to go home for christmas if you want!"

Sarah looked back up to the staff table as the new Headmaster began his speech.
"Oh..I don't think I know him..." she mumbled to herself as he continued talking.

Sarah noticed another first year arrive back at the table,presumably from meeting the new teachers.That was something she hadn't done last year...approach the hallowed dais.
She saw he didn't look all that happy as he sat next to her.Not knowing him,but not liking when someone was upset or angry she spoke to him.
"Ummm hi,are you ok? You look a little mad about something."

"We did it cause he didnt treat one of our friends with much respect." he said a shadow showing on his face.

"Thats how I normally am." Reed told her. "I'm normally one of those people who starts out doin really good, going to all the classes and getting work in, but then I don't always end the year that way" he admitted to her. He was a procrastinator and he always would be.

Kaika should get used to Miranda's greeting by now. And she was oh-so-happy to see her. It was a little ray of sunshine between the dark sky shown above.

"Miranda!" she exclaimed, hugging the girl back, "Well, I'm pretty good...I think" she said, laughing a bit, "I know it will" a wink left the brunette's eyes and she straightened herself up to show the badge a bit more...

"So, I have big news..." she started to say, with a big smile, though, the second year probably knew that Kaika was the new Captain this year.

She eyed momentarily to where she'd seen Dominic before, "Oh, yeah, my guess is that he had a bit of trouble getting out of the train..." considering the late arrival, "...by the way, did you know that he's now a Prefect?!" she asked her, this was still a shock to her.

Jake whipped his head around at full speed. Owie... my neck. Rubbing it, he looked up into a girl's face and thought for a moment. What had he been doing?

"Er..." Jake pondered for a moment. "Oh yeah!" His face darkened as Jake shot another look at the teacher.

"It's just, one of the new teachers, Professor Bunbury, totally should not be let among kids to teach them... it's insane... she's insane!" Jake shook his head, dropping his hand again.

"I'm... er... Jacob, or Jake... I don't mind what you call me," Jake smiled awkwardly.

Ella sat down at the Hufflepuff table, next to some random person. Only when she looked around to introduce herself, she saw that it was her best friend Ema. "EMA!" Ella exclaimed, hugging her. "Ohmygosh, how are you? How was your summer? tell me everything!"

Vanessa turned a smiled warmly up at him, she couldn't help but feel slightly better by him just being there. "A bit," She admitted quietly as she looked down at her hands. "Can we talk about it later?" She asked as she looked up at him, trying to seem a little happier. She didn't want to bring a downer on the feast.
"Oooh Look," She giggled, for what seemed like the first time in a long while. "Chicken!"

Melanie sat among the talking students, somewhat uncomfortable, a characteristic uncommon for her. She stared around nervously, biting her lip. Melanie had carefully observed her surroundings and stared a bit at the teachers and students. Melanie was a little bummed out that neither Mackenzie nor Natasha was in her house, but she was fully convinced they could be friends. Truly everything about the magic in the room facinated the girl. She was quite surprised when the food had appeared and jumped in her seat. Melanie self- consciously ran a hand through her ebony hair. She looked around at the students and they almost all seemed to be talking. She didn't really know where to begin so she simply didn't, but she hoped someone else would talk to her. She didn't even understand why she was acting so weird. Normally Melanie would have bounded up to one of the other first years and randomly began talking, but it was like the others already knew each other and it intimidated her a bit.
