John looked around the table, he wanted to find some of his mates but unfortunaly it seemed like they were all busy chatting to someone else. John looked up at the staff table it seemed like most of the staff was there now and surely they would see the head soon. He smiled as he looked back at the table there was a lot of food and John didn't know where to start in the end he started with just a drink of pumkin juice, he didn't feel that hungry. John then turn back to see if he could see Ruby the last he had saw of her was when he was just about to tell her about his family life and she just said that she had to go. He hoped that there was nothing wrong with her, maybe he had said something wrong, maybe he shouldn't have accidently let it slip that he was in love with her. Well it was to late now, he would just have to find her and ask her if he had upset her. As for that moment in time John was toying with interupting two fellow Hufflepuff and asking them if he could join them. He thought hard for the next few minutes then decided that maybe they didn't want a guy interupting them as it might be what people call girl talk. He looked around the room hoping to find someone who wasn't talking to anyone, but it seemed like everyone was talking to someone. In the end John decided that he would just stay where he was and wait to see if anyone wanted to talk to him, then at least he wouldn't get into trouble for interupting anyone. He looked up at the ceiling, even though he was starting to get use to it he couldn't help but look at it. John then turned his attention back to his drink. |

"Skateboarding?" He asked looking intrigued. So she liked to skateboard. He wouldn't have expectd that. Reed let out a laugh as Reese told him or else. "Oh really, and what excactly is that or else" He said with a grin. Then he looked around the room that was very crowded now. He saw a boy that looked to be about a first year sitting close to them. He wondered why the boy didn't go talk to the two younger girls. |

"yea, it was kind of a shocker" Reed said with a nod of his head. "Oh I'm sooo scared now, I guess I will just have to try out" he said with a large grin. Then he listened as Reese invited the first year boy to sit with them. "Yea, what she said" he told the younger boy. |

"Hello my name is John" He thought he had better start with his name. "I'm in my first year and I can't wait to start lession and things" John was happy that he had come to hogwarts, he just couldn't help but hide his delight at coming to one of the most finest school ever. He hoped he wasn't making them nervious. |

Curtis Diggory yawned as he pushed open the giant oak doors of the Great Hall. He had been asleep for the entirety of the Hogwarts Express ride, all except the final thirty minutes in which he used to change into his school robes. Rubbing his eyes, he finally got a clear view of the grand room, and smiled as he took in it’s grandeur. Seventh year, his last year, it was all a bit overwhelming. He saw a bunch of familiar faces, but no one from his close group of friends. Where was Vannah? Those questions played in his mind as he sat down at the Hufflepuff table, hopefully they came along soon. For now, he’d just settle with welcoming in the new firsties, that was always somewhat entertaining. |

John looked at Reed and smiled but then he went angry when Reese started giggling after he had said something "Excuss me, but may I ask what is so funny?" He was sure she was laughing at him. He didn't know what to do or so next, maybe he should leave them to themselves. John looked back at Reed and smiled he hoped that he would see him around and they could talk more, but for now John was offended that someone was laughing at him. He then heard someone call his name he was happy now he had an excuss to get away from that horrible girl Reese and to think that he thought she was kind, it just goes to show that even he could be wrong about somethings. "Set how arre you?" He had missed talking to Set and Cadence "Have you seen Cadence?" He then grabbed hold of Sets arm before me could say anything and moved to the other end of the table away from Reese and Reed, but mainly away from Reese. |
Jake bit his lip, looking up at the staff table. Aah... so the ghosts weren't a normal thing... but now what? Something had to be up. In fact, Jake wasn't too surprised. Apparently there was usually something up. Locking his eyes onto the ghosts that apparently shouldn't be there, Jake started to feel all cold and shivvery, though it was most probably a psychological thing. Yup... something was definitely up. |

Reed turned to John then. Did he seriously just get offended by Reese? He felt bad that the kid was hurt, but before he could explain why she had started laughing someone else walked up and then the next thing he knew John was gone. Wow that was just a bit dramatic. |

Jake looked around at the other house tables; they all had their "House Ghost" with them already, and Hufflepuff was still the lonesome house. But then again... as long as that old poltergeist, Peeves, stayed away, all would be fine. Jake had read up a little too much in his Hogwarts; a History book, but he was still unsure as to why he'd missed the fact that ghosts weren't seen nowadays. Fighting the urge to whistle, Jake swung his legs and grabbed hold of the bench and waited to see if the Fat Friar would appear. Maybe he sould have been freaked out, but it seemed he was freaked out by all the wrong things today. Bleurgh. |
