"Must be" Kayla agreed. "But I like being called 'hot'" she teased giving him a wink. She looked down at her plate and grinned. "Hey, it's been a long day and I can't remember if I ate breakfast or not...I don't think I did." She looked up at his face and burst out laughing, "I just bet they do, I mean who can resist that?" she leaned over and ruffled his hair playfully. "Well obviously Masterton has found a way to grow it here" she took another bite of her chicken. "And besides it's something new to look at. The lake as nice as it is gets boring after a while."

he smiled as she told him she enjoyed it. it made him feel better as he took another bite of his apple. he chuckled as she blamed it on her lack of meals for the day, at which she couldnt remember if she had any." I think if you cant remember anything you might need me to take you to the hospital wing. These things you should know, unless its been a really really really long day. What happened?" he asked as he was curious to see how bad it really was. he nodded a little as she moved to play with his hair." it is. I hope their isnt any pandas around here. Arent those like extinct anyways? I wonder if he's managed to grow those too."

"Nah I don't need the hospital wing" she stood up from her chair and pointed to herself. "Do I look like I need the hospital wing?" if he said yes to that she was going to hit him. She sat back down and too a sip of her drink. "Just some problems with first years" she sighed. "Nothing I can't handle." She chuckled again. "Not extinct...endangered yes but not extinct yet. And yes there are supposed to be some of them in the forest."

he looked up at her as she asked if she looked like she needed to go to the hopsital wing." if you start twirling or anything then im going to have to say yes." she sat back down without any promblem as she didnt need to go."Sounds like fun." he moved to spread his hand out like he was putting out as a head title." Kayla Winters. Taking down the trouble makers One student at a time." he snickered a little as he then added." though im surprise that you dont join them." he listened to her as she talked about the pandas. Okay know it all." Really? What else does he have in their?" he asked as he chuckled a little."have any of those screeching birds. we could use one on a student." he paused for a second as he added," And you didnt hear me say that."

"No there won't be any twirling" she chuckled. Kayla reached over and hit him on the arm. "You're number one on my list of troublemakers Cayden. And I'll have no problems taking you down" she gave him a wink and popped a chip into her mouth. "Pleeeeease, I'm a little more subtle with my troublemaking than the first years" she smirked. "I don't remember hearing any screeching birds, a lot of female gossip but that's it. Oh of course not" she replied with a mischevious smile.

"thats good to hear. Twirling is only aloud if you are dancing. Or other...stuff." he coughed a little as he she then hit his arm."What? Me? I never did anything? Other than having good looks myself. What did i do?" he asked with a grin." Take me down? Yeah right. In your dreams Miss Winters." he chuckled as he took a drink. Ha. Yeah right. He would let her win more then she actually taking him down."Its true. I havent seen you cause any yet, but i must start paying attention." No screeching birds, but ones just like them. Got it. he chuckled as she she gave him that smile." Your already in trouble i can tell with that smile." he looked down at his cup for a second as he then asked her a question." So erh. You know much about Agie?"

Kayla raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh yeah? What other stuff?" she asked with a small smirk, let's see if he answers that one. "That's just to make sure that you don't" she giggled. "Like I said I'm not as obvious as the rest" she tossed him another wink.

She looked at him for a moment, he seemed to be a little embarrassed and she quirked her eyebrow again. "Oh so that's why you're over here paying me all those compliments. You want to be to give you information on another girl. You know I should be offended" Kayla chuckled at this. "She's a very nice girl, who is a bigger flirt than I am if that's possible and loves to cause trouble as much as Peeves does." Yep that about summed up Agie.

he grinned as she talked about other stuff."What other stuff? The other stuff that two people do together. Stuff like dancing. Gesh pay attention." he told her as he shook his head a little."Let me remind you again that im not afraid of you. You forget this somehow." really? what part of her was scary. When she was trying to scary it was just funny.

he chuckled as she thought he was over for that."Im not over here for that." he said seriously as he gave her a look beside it." You said you were going to show me around. Thats what im here for. besides if i keep this candy any longer im going to eat them all myself." he shook his had a she added," then you'd be offended for no good reason. I was just asking. Just because she isnt that bad looking either. its just kind of odd." he said as he shrugged a little.

Kayla chuckled and decided to let that one go. "Ah but you should be" she reminded him again. "I should get Nico, to write you a letter and tell you exactly why you should be scared of me. The things he could tell you would make your hair curl" she of course wouldn't get Nicholai, to do that and she knew Nico, wouldn't anyway.

"Oh you still have my candy?" she held her hand out. "I want it...please." Kayla laughed again, oh how she loved her talks with Cayden. "As good looking as me? And why is it odd?"

he chuckled as she told him he really should be afraid of her. Now she was offering to get her boyfriend to write a letter about how she's the devil. Nope, just a fish." Your trying to hard." he informed her as he then added," Their is nothing that you could do to me that is worse then what i've already been through. So enjoy it. Their is one person in the world that does not fear you." he gave her a charming smile as he then took another bite of his apple. he was about down to the core now.

"You want your candy? well i guess since you are taking me around." he moved to dig into his bag as he pulled out a half eaten box of beans." I told you i had gotten hungry along the way. All that studying wore me out." he teased. he shook his head as he let a little chuckle escape."Not meant the way you took it. I was saying it was odd at the fact i went to school with them and they seem to notice me more here then there. Whether its good or bad. " he gave her a small shrug as it was just weird to him." And their not the only ones who got kicked out of school." he paused for a second as he chuckled."well sort of."

"You know what Cayden Blood, I do enjoy the fact that you are not scared of me...it makes a nice change" Kayla waggled her eyebrows at him as she took another bite out of her chicken.

"Yes I want my candy" she looked at him horrified. "You ate my candy? You're a bad, bad boy Cayden" she giggled as she took the box off him. "Well maybe you stand out more here, then you did at your other school. Were you as big a flirt there as you are here?" she asked with a smile on her face. Kayla placed her elbow on the table and rested her chin on her hand. "Oh really? Do tell."

he shook his head a little when she spoke about enjoying it. he looked at the table as he was looking for something else to eat. since she was going to eat all her candy."Oh please. It was only a few." he moved to grab a roll as it was something that wasnt messy."your going to live." he promised her."Bad boy?" he snickered as he shrugged." Its been known." he listened to her as her excuse was the fact he stood out more here. Who knew. he smiled as he gave her a small shrug."Possibly." As she rested her head on her hands and stared at him as though it was story time he couldnt help but chuckle."Another christmas card right there." he teased her." We moved here because of my mother's work, but... i had gotten into plenty of fights. Of course...their is that the other thing." he snickered as he shook his head. he leaned over a little as he whispered the rest."the headmaster didnt like me snogging his daughter." he pulled away a little as he snickered. what fun times.

She pushed her candy box to the other side of her, so that he couldn't have anymore. Oh yeah, she could tell that he was a bad boy but she wasn't going to tell him that, his head was big enough as it was. "And what a lovely Christmas card it would be too" Kayla smirked slightly.

Kayla rolled her eyes at him. "Why is it you guys like to fight so much? Honestly is it worth it?" She leaned her head in towards his as he whispered in her ear and she snickered. "Well that would do it. Man I would have love to have seen his face."

he chuckled as she got protective of her candy. At which he may have to remind her he did buy." Yeah. One of those funny looking ones. Like how my chick magnet face would be a good one." he gave her a innocent smile after his comment, hoping to ease the joke a little.

"I dont know why everyone fights, but i do have a little sister." he shrugged a little as he continued." She tends to get into trouble herself. I have to be there to get her out of it. Even if it means getting into a fight. You dont insult her. She's all i have. You know my parents arent really there so its like its just the two of us. Someone has to take care of her." he gave her a weak smile as he saw her snicker from his secret."Dont spread the word. I like to have it on the low that I'm a bad boy. Sort of a surprise when people get to know me. And his face was like a red balloon ready to burst." he snickered as he then asked,"are you about done yet? Im pretty sure one of those extinct pandas eat less then you do."

"Oh I know you are a chick magnet Cayden, don't need to keep reminding me" she chuckled. "You made number two on my top five of hot guys at Hogwarts."

As he spoke about his sister for some reason something gnawed at the back of her mind and she suddenly realised something. "Er...your sister's name doesn't happen to be Asteria, does it?" Oh please say no, please say no but it couldn't possibly be a coincidence, there was just no way. Oh crap if it was he was going to be rather peeved to find out that she had slapped the girl and then put her on her butt.

"Your secret is safe with me" she said giving him a wink and then chuckled at the balloon comment. "I just bet it was" she looked down at her plate and sighed. "Yeah I think I've had enough, my eyes were obviously too big for my belly" Kayla stood up from the chair and smiled at Cayden. "Come on then hot stuff let's go for a walk."

"Its not meant to be repeated constantly. Just adding it as a metaphor." he snickered as he she told him he had made second on his list. No need to ask who placed first on the list. Thats where you put your others at.

He was taking a drink as she spoke about asteira. He choked on his drink as it went shooting into the cup while half of it bounced back into his face. he coughed a little as it turned into chuckles. He put the cup down as he asked," Why does everyone keep asking me that? Was she like the devil or something?" This he already knew. He had plenty of experience."No. My sister's name is Angel. I think my parents were going Nutzoid or something when they had her." it was a strange name for a kid.

"Good." he smiled a little as he wiped everything from his face. He felt like a small amount of a fool, but it was just kayla."actually your eyes are smaller then your intestines, but whatever. Your the smart one." he snickered as he stood from his place." Lead the way." he told her as he would follow her towards the unknown area of the bamboo forest. Who knew what awaited them. It was going to be fun no doubt with the Parana.

Kayla leaned over and patted him on the back and chuckled. "Sorry I just assumed because you had the same last name and yes a bit of a devil" she remarked with a slight smile. "Oh Angel, is a pretty name. She obviously doesn't go to Hogwarts?" Well duh, otherwise she probably would have seen the girl around.

She rolled her eyes at him. "Thanks for pointing that out 'Hermione Granger'" she giggled. Kayla linked his arm with hers, "Yes let's go and see if we can find us some Panda's" she said as she dragged him along with her.

Harley walked into the great hall with his 'eyes' and took a seat at his own house table without thinking "Oh im sorry hun, would you prefer your table or mine?" he gave a quick laugh and conjoured two goblets of pumkin juice onto the table in front of them.

Mariel followed Harley into the Great Hall and slid into the seat next to him at the Hufflepuff table. Glancing up at him as he spoke, she said, "Oh, it doesn't matter. This is fine." She noticed that there were relatively few students sitting at any of the tables, being an off-time of the day, not that it made much of a difference to the Ravenclaw girl.

Wanting to make a bit of conversation as she sipped her pumpkin juice, Mariel said, "You weren't bad at conjuring those ribbon words. You must be really good at Transfiguration. One of your favorites?" At least that seemed logical to Mariel, people were usually good at things they enjoyed.

Harley nodded when Mariel asked about Transfiguration then repied "Yes when i was in Durmstrung it was one of the classes on the top of my favourite list, only being beaten my Care of Magical Creatures that was my top favourite lesson" Thinking of Magical Creatures made him think of Asher, "Which creature are you looking after for the term sweetie?" He glanced round the hall and realised that it was pretty empty..strange he thought there was usually at least a couple of groups of students at tables all the time in Durmstrung.

Listening to Harley as he spoke, Mariel had a few questions of her own. "You transferred from Durmstrang? Is this your first year at Hogwarts?" Although it was possible that he had been at Hogwarts for a few years, being that he looked several years older than the Ravenclaw girl.

"Yeah, I like Transfiguration too," she agreed. Care of Magical Creatures... not so much. "The spells we learn in class are really useful, but I find the class a bit difficult, well, at least you have to work hard to be good at it, I mean."

"I have a Jarvey. His name is Felix," Mariel said in response to Harley's last question. "I really need to get back down there to visit him." She had only visited once and even she had to admit that he was pretty cute, although she wasn't sure how long that would last. "What about you? What are you taking care of?"

Harley forgot that most people were aware that he was a transfer so simply repied "Yup thats me, Transfer boy" he then stood took a little bow and sat down again, "So technically even though im in my sixth year im still a firstie here" He gave a cheeky grin and drank some more juice.

Once Mariel had explained her view on transfigurations he had to agree slightly "I understand what you mean, although i like it i still get a little lost at times" he paused for a moment then continued "If you ever need a hand in class you just need to shout me though ok"

"Aww Javeys are awsome and felix is a cool pet name" He then dug around in his bag and handed Mariel a peice of parchment;



"This is Asher..Hes my baby phoenix" He smiled broadly, he was already loving looking after him and it had only been a few days.

Set ran into the great hall and grab what ever was for diner and ran out quickly. He had to rush to Quidditch Tryouts.

Mariel chuckled at Harley's response to her transfer student question. "Well, I hope you're finding your way around alright. I kept getting lost last term, but I'm having an easier time this year. How does Hogwarts compare to Durmstrang?" The Ravenclaw girl mirrored his movements and took a sip of her own pumpkin juice. "Thanks," she said with a smile. Though she felt she could hold her own in class, it was also nice to have some extra help from older students and learn from their experiences.

Taking the parchment from Harley's hands, her eyes grew wide as she gazed down at the drawing. "Did you draw this?" she asked, looking back up at him. "It's really good. I like to draw too, but I haven't sketched Felix yet. Too busy sketching the sky..." she trailed off remembering her Astronomy homework was due soon.

"Anyway, he's cute," she said, returning his smile. "And Asher's a cool name. Hopefully I can find time to get to the nursery later today. I've been overwhelmed with homework." And it wasn't even an O.W.L. year. She hated to think about how much work she'd have then.

Jessica went to the Great Hall to have something to eat. She walked to the Hufflepuff table and sat down. Noticing Harley, her housemate, and Mariel, a girl whom she had met the previous year, one of Nancy's friends, she greeted them.
"Hi, how are you? Enjoying your time at Hogwarts, Harley?"
"I just wanted to say hi, I hope I'm not disturbing. I'm starved, anyway, so I'd better take something to eat."
