She turned to Plymouth and gave him a wink. Oh he was nuzzling her again...and well actually she didn't seem to mind it this time. He was a very affectionate type of person, looks like this was something she was going to have to get used to. "Celly likes you a whole lot, so don't go worrying about something that might never happen. Just enjoy your time together and you know have some fun." Kayla chuckled as he pulled her in for another hug, "Oh Plymouth, you are just too sweet" she leaned over to give him a kiss on the cheek...

Plymouth "hehe'd!" loudly and accepted the second hug with so much glee! Had he known that he was about to receive a kiss on the cheek though -- he wouldn't have turned his face towards her.

And he wouldn't have accidentally taken that cheek kiss right on his mouth.

Um. Oops.

Plymouth's eyes swelled to the size of dragons. He was too afraid to move or breath and it was probably too dangerous to continue living now. Plymouth stared at close proximity Kayla. OH NO.

Plymouth had a big problem.

Mere millimetres from his cheek and he decides at the last moment to turn his head. Oh. My. God!! She was kissing his lips!! No that wasn't how it was supposed to be? In that split second of being nice and it all goes pear shaped. Kayla pulled back with a slight gasp and shoved Plymouth hard in the chest, "What the hell? Tell me you did not just do that on purpose Plymouth Morgan?"

Kayla got up from the seat and wiped her mouth with her hand and started pacing, stopped and turned to Plymouth, "We're both dead, you realise that don't you?"

"Ow! I - Ow! You KNOW I didn't mean to! You - you kissed me!" Plymouth spluttered. He looked scared - probably because he totally was. "I was just turning to hug you back! I love hugs! I... I think I might cry!"


Plymouth with the dragon-sized eyes held his head and stared up at Kayla. "Pernicus said that if I kiss a girl I have to take responsibility for it and make them my girlfriend." AHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Plymouth didn't want the girlfriend of his own girlfriend's brother!! Ahhhhhh!!! She was scary, despite her newfound fondness of him and his hugs!!

It was possible that Plymouth Morgan was hyperventilating. Or very near it. Definitely.

"WHAT?" she screeched loudly. "I. Did. Not. Kiss. You!! Well not like that anyway, I was just going to give you a peck on the cheek because I felt sorry for you" Kayla threw her hands up in the air. "You turned your head at the wrong moment. I - I..."she was at a total loss for words right now. How was she supposed to explain this to Nico, when he thought she was doing her utmost to punch the living crap out of him. Oh Holy Hippogriffs!! Imagine Nico's reaction to this, he had been livid when he found out Plymouth had kissed Cela and now he had kissed her!

Kayla shook herself out of her reverie at Plymouth's next statement. "NO!! I am not your girlfriend Morgan, nor will I ever be. This - this was just an accident. Simply bad timing on your part" she nodded her head as though to convince herself of that. Kayla sat back down on the bench and groaned loudly. "I think I should punch you in the face, to make it all better."

Oh dear Merlin!! What were they going to do? She knew she would tell Nicholai because she would never keep anything from him and what about Cela? The girl didn't seem to like her at the moment and this was just going to make everything worse.

Plymouth resumed his heavy breathing, keeping an eye on Kayla in case she decided to punch him in the face. He liked very much that Cedric just kept rolling - right on to the next subject. Plymouth was never sitting at the Hufflepuff table again.

Best not finish that sentence she didn't want to make him feel any worse.

"Cela, will probably understand" she nodded but then again, this was Kayla and Plymouth...so maybe not. "Oh I will be telling Nicholai, the truth but will it be enough? Highly unlikely...seeing how he thinks I am supposed to be kicking your butt for kissing Cela and not sitting down having tea with you and trying to kiss your cheek" she looked at him and arched her brow. "See my problem?" Of course he didn't, he had no idea what Nico was like. Okay maybe she should punch him in the face now!

This was too much. Helios was rarely inclined to laugh, but he could barely contain his mirth.

At first glance, it would appear he was simply reading the days mail. On a second glance, you may notice him shooting glances in Kaylas direction. He smiled a little bit bigger each time.

That small burrowing owl on his shoulder, that stood on one long leg, was a little more obvious. Panoptes stared. "Who?" The owl cooed.

"Shh.."

Normally when one sufferes from lack of food, getting something to satisfy said hunger usually alieviates the stress. At least that's what Caitlin was hoping for as she strolled into the Great Hall, making her way toward the Hufflepuff House Table.

Her stomach growled something fierce, and quite honestly, the 5th year couldn't remember the last time she'd eaten anything. Not the most healthful habbit, but when your mind is completely and totally preocupied with things more important than eating ...

... Well at least they were more important to her.

There were too many students going about their daily end-of-the-weekend business that Caitlin paid no attention to who was around her at the time. She, of course, wasn't meaning to be rude, it was just the simple fact that she was on amission of finding something quick to quiet her stomach so she could get back to thinking properly.

Sliding onto one side of the benches at her House Table, the Hufflepuff withdrew her wand in her right hand, conjured up a mug of cocoa, and with her left hand summoned a muffin from a tray not too far from where she sat.

"hey!there kayla is your boggart right..."Cedric said while laughing

Panoptes was the first to react to Cedrics' comment, turning her head a quarter turn counter clockwise.

Helios' waited a moment longer, slowly turning to look at the younger boy with his cloudy gaze. "She was.." The Greek replied coolly, folding up his mail.

"But some of us learn to overcome our fears." If Helios faced the Boggart again, what would he see?

"well,I'm not overcome my fear but I think I can do it one more time...and why kayla is your fear?"Cedric asked

Helios' couldn't help but stare at the curious firstie for a moment.

A story that spanned a lifetime played out in his head.

"Spare me the things that go bump in the night, and all that existential nonsense: Fear women."

He hoped that explanation would suffice.

...And he figured if he was going to get punched in the face by a girl, it'd be at least minimally better to take it standing up.

Despite his sureness that a hug wouldn't help a person that wanted to punch him in the face, Plymouth offered one anyway. "If he breaks up with you, and Cela breaks up with me, I'll do what Perni said I had to. I'll take responsibility. It'll be okay. At least we won't be alone." And Plymouth offered that hug.

He was so about to get punched in the face...

Kayla looked at Plymouth for a moment and she seriously considered just drawing back her fist right now and letting it fly, he honestly wouldn't see it coming. But she couldn't do it, he was being reasonable and she hated it when people were being reasonable.

Kayla stopped her pacing when he stood in front of her and she took some deep breaths. He wanted to hug her again? Was he mental? "Wha-no Plymouth no" she shook her head at him. "No offense or anything but I don't want to be your girlfriend...ever!" The mere thought made her cringe but she hid it from Plymouth, she would rather spend the rest of her life alone. And then he moved forward for a hug and Kayla simply shoved him in the chest and quite hard, "That's what got us in this mess in the first place!"

"Ow," Plymouth whispered, reaching up to hold his chest with both his hands. Ow she was so mean. "I think you're too old for me anyway. I'm just not - well, let's say that I'm not the older women type anyway." Plymouth stared across at Kayla, thinking he had at least gotten her to stop pacing. "So... we should write CellBell's brother a letter. You and me. Right?"

Plymouth started the letter in his head,


Dear Nico Toussaint,

Just writing to inform you of an accident that occurred at the Hufflepuff House Table a little while ago. Call it clumsiness, call it gravitational forces, or maybe a bad dose of confundus potion - but me and your and girlfriend had a moment. Just a little FYI and hope this causes no weirdness.

"Sorry Plymouth, I don't know my own strength sometimes" Kayla mumbled and she reached out with her hand and held it in mid air for a moment before retracting it. That's what had gotten them into this trouble in the first place because she had decided to be nice to him. She laughed humorlessly, "Yeah right, more like you're too scared of me."

Her eyes widened in horror, "I can't tell Nico, about this in a letter. Are you insane? This is something I will have to tell him face to face and no you will not be there." She may be mean and horrible sometimes but she wouldn't deliberately put someone else in the line of fire. "This is something I have to do by myself." Kayla sat back down and put her head in her hands, one stupid moment of being nice to someone and it's probably just ruined the rest of her life.

Maybe Kayla couldn't tell Nico in a letter, but Plymouth could. He'd send his letter later.

"Why would I be afraid of you? We're buddies now. I mean, we totally had a moment. A moment we can't take back. And if Nico breaks up with you, then me... and um ... Pern. Me and Pern will take care of you. You probably like him better anyway. I'll hook you and you'll be okay. Promise." Plymouth sat down beside her and put his hand on her back encouragingly. "No worries, Kayla Winters."

Sitting there with her head in her hands and listening to Plymouth speak she seriously considered getting up and strangling him. A moment? He thought they had shared a moment!! Someone really needed to sit down and explain the birds and the bees to Plymouth because that was as far from a moment as you could get. She didn't want him to look after her and what now? He wanted to set her up with Copernicus, did he not know when to quit? Kayla took a few deep breaths so that she could regain some control of herself.

Straightening back up Kayla looked at Plymouth and gave him a faint smile, "Look I know you're only trying to help and really I appreciate it but - but I will be okay. You and Cope don't need to take care of me and you really should run these things by your step brother first." She stood back up and looked down at Plymouth, "I think I need to go and get some fresh air."

"Oh I know Perni. We've decided recently to be Best Friends Forever. BFF's," Plymouth clarified in case she was slow on the abbreviations. "He's totally looking for a girlfriend and since he can't exactly have mine - well you're sort of like an older, fiercer, um.. Huffleypuffly Cela." Except, totally not at ALL. There wasn't a single thing, except maybe blond hair, that was alike between Cela and Kayla.

Oh and their affinity for smoochies and him.

But besides that there was nothing. STILL - Perni needed a date and Plymouth wanted him to be happy. He wanted everyone to be happy!

"Okay. No problem. I've got some things to do anyway," like send that letter to CellBell's brother and tell his GF (girlfriend!) that her brother's girlfriend had the hots for him a little. Awkwarrrrrd...

"If you want to sit with me later or need something or you know, just let me know." Plymouth gave her one more little pat before getting up to excuse himself.

Kayla didn't bother responding to Plymouth about Copernicus, it would just go in one ear and out the other with remarkable speed. She would talk to Cope herself and explain the situation, she had the feeling that Plymouth's version would be slightly twisted on what actually happened. Which is why she wanted him nowhere near Nico, when he was told.

Kayla almost snorted at his comparison to her and Cela because the two girls were nothing alike. "Yeah right I'll do that Plymouth." NOT!!! She would be staying very far away from Plymouth Morgan and she would rather be stampeded by a group of charging Centaurs then to go and sit with Plymouth again.

Plymouth gave Kayla a very big grin - trying to be encouraging - and a little wave. "I'll see you around, Kayla. And don't worry. It'll be okay!!" Plymouth grabbed his pumpkin juice to go and left for the owlery.
