After your journey through a door to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall and down a staircase there, you find yourself standing before a still life painting. Upon giving the correct password, you are allowed access to a warm, welcoming underground room, decorated in the Hufflepuff house colours. Gathered around the large fireplace are several oversized and overfilled plump sofas, which resemble fluffy clouds, and a variety of comfortable armchairs scattered around for you to rest your weary bodies in.

A long table sits in the brightest part of the room (torches are lit all day long) for the students who would rather do their homework in here than in their dormitories or the library.

Portraits of past well-known Hufflepuffs hang on one wall, among them are Cedric Diggory and Nymphadora Tonks, who died in the dark days of You-Know-Who's power, as well as the Fat Friar. Remember and honour them as you walk to or from your dormitories.

Two perfectly round, barrel top doors are positioned on opposing sides of the common room. They both open to reveal underground tunnels which will lead you to your common rooms; boys on the right, girls on the left.

He thought for a moment then spoke "Okay then, I shall be back in a few moments ladies" He bowed to them and then left in the direction of the dorm rooms. After a few minutes he returned wearing pale blue PJs covered in baby thestrels and a goofy smile on his face. Once he had made his way back to the three ladies he done a tiny turn and asked "So what do you think?"

Eva shook Spence's hand.
"Nice to meet you too." she said politely. "Maybe there's some truth in there, don't you think?" Eva caught her hair in a ponytail.
"Spence... Interesting name." she commented.

Ella climbed into the common room, exhausted. she sat down on a puffy chair and sighed. It was so good to be back at Hogwarts! She was holding her cat Cleo, short for Cleopatra, and she stroked its fur, staring into the fire.

Spence started clapping wildly. She whistled. Laughing, she said, I love 'em. Do the twirl again. Spence then clarified, I'm laughing with you not at you. She said cracking up again.

Spence nodded. My mom gave it to me. Even though it is a boys name. I like it. Spence smiled.

Harley loved the reaction his PJs recived, he must remember to thanks the guys from Durmstrung later. Not wanting to disapoint He stood back up again gave another twirl and bow and sat back down again laughing, "Oh dont worry sweetie, If i was you and saw me in these id laugh at me too" Really hoping that made more sense to the girls then it did to him.

"It's cool. I can't really telll, but I'd say it fits you." there was something about the eleven year old that told Eva she was... different. She told herself it was because of the pijama.
The girl shook her head. Eva only liked to listen to her instintic sometimes. Gee, I'm too old. Seems like I'm from the welcoming comittee for firsties. Next thing, I'll be adopting one.
She couldn't help to grin as the conversation between Spence and the boy.

Emalyn's head popped up, hearing someone sitting down beside her on another puffy chair.
"Oh, hey, Ella." she smiled, blinking many times. Cleo was so cute on Ella's lap.

The subject then changed to classes.She had to think about that.There were certain things they had to do,but she hoped DADA wasn't one of them.Not that she didn't want to learn to defend herself...of course she did.More it was the sound of the new professor she didn't like...Kamikaze or something..she couldn't remember.All she knew was that he looked and sounded like a grumpy old man...one who took points from her friends for no good reason.
Suddenly realising she hadn't answered Jake,she spoke... "Well I enjoyed Herbology,Ancient Runes and Muggle Studies last year,so I will take them again.Mind you 2 of the professors for them are new so it might not feel the same....Anyway what are you looking forward to?"

Crossing over to the doors to the tunnels which went on to lead to the dormitories, Jake started through the tunnel to the boy's dorms.

Oh he was off again.Never mind it was late and she was tired herself,so she did fully understand.

Smiling a tired smile she put her hand up in a sort of wave and went back to staring at the fire,while listening to those around her.

"Yeah, she's adorable! My grandmother has cats but my mom's allergic so we don't have them in our house. I absolutely love them, though." she moved toward Ella and pet Cleo on the head. "She's really soft," she supposed she would be soft anyway, as most cats are.

"I love cats, too," Ella said, "I've had one as long as i can remember. Cleo is my lucky number seven.... the other six died, oh well." She stroked Cleo's head. "At least I've got my Cleo." she smiled, and Cleo sneezed. Ella giggled.

After the feast, Penny walked to the Common Room. Looking round she did not see anyone that she knew. She walked over to one of the chairs and sat down. She sighed and closed her eyes. So this was it, her last term.

Emalyn's eyes widened. "Did you have seven cats at once?" Ema stroked Cleo down the back and smiled when she sneezed. "Awww," she couldn't help saying it.

"Oh, okay." Emalyn let out a sigh of relief. "It would sure be interesting to have that many cats at once, but it'd be quite a handfull. I can see why Cleo is your favorite!" she smiled and rubbed behind the kitty cat's little ears.

Harley sloped down into his seat more to make himsef comfier then replied "Oh my family moved when I was younger so I ended up in Durmstrung...Awsome school that was and now we have moved back and im now sat here with you loverly ladies" He finished this sentence with a cheeky grin.

Harley laughed "It was slightly yes but there were many an opportunity for snow games and the like" He thought for a moment then added, "What with being a first year i dont suppose you hsve had much chance to play magical snowball fights before have you"
