History of Magic Lesson 3 Ethan had left the windows open in the classroom and the brisk January air had succeded in freshening up and freezing up the room. Truebridge closed the windows and sat at his desk, wrapped in warm layers to ward off the icy temperature in the classroom. Hmm, the desks were straight again. He flicked Loretta and the desks all moved a fraction of an inch in various directions. Satisfied by this, Ethan flicked his wand at the board, revealing the topic of todays class. Quote:

Jake entered the classroom and smiled at the cold air. He loooooved the cold. Jake smiled at the History of Magic teacher before he twigged that the man seemed asleep and took a seat near the window, staring outside and swinging his legs. He wasn't a fan of the crooked desks, they made him edgy. |
Elizabeth walked into the History of Magic classroom only to widen her eyes in shock at how cold it was in there. Wrapping her arms around herself for warmth, she glanced around to see the windows closed, and the professor lounging at his desk wearing several layers of clothing. Smiling a little, despite how freezing she was, she walked a little closer to him, trying to see if she could tell if he was awake or not through his glasses but giving up after a few seconds. Turning around, she made her way over to one of the desks, which she was starting to think he purposely liked to have set up crookedly, and dropped her bag next to it. Then, humming a bit of a song from Rent, she sat down, waiting for class to start. |
William practically skidded into the room, skin prickling with goose bumps as the cold blast hit him. He breathed a sigh of relief and grinned. Aww perfect he thought, spotting Jake and walking over to sit beside him. His desk was slightly out of place but he liked it that way. It was normal he mused glancing at the professor, trying to figure out if he was dozing or not. Shrugging he grinned at Jake before pulling out his books and quill. Opening a fresh page he began doodling. |
Tobi sprinted into the classroom, totally charged for his History of Magic lesson. So far, he was doing well in that class, and unlike Professor Tobi skidded to a halt and only made a medium sized CRASH as he smacked into a desk near the front that indeed caused his oh so graceful stop. He chose to sit there, odd for him since he was so tall he usually sat near the back, but he wanted to have a good view of what would happen THIS time. Also, because he wanted to keep the appearance that indeed, "I meant to do that," he said brightly. "Hi Professor, how goes?" |
Plymouth, being Plymouth, came in humming Cats. He gave the Professor a thumb's up as he passed by his desk. "Going to be a good class, Professor! I feel it in my bones - and hear it in my head.." Plymouth laughed and went to go sit down in the back like he always did. He had to pull his arms out of his sleeves and tuck them down by his torso to keep warm though. That was about when the real tune of Cats started playing in his head. Sigh. |
Dum De Dum. Miles strolled quite happily into History of Magic, and was quite glad to see that he knew straight away what they were learning. Simple enough. He grinned, and went to sit down at one of the spread out desks and rubbed his hands together. Bit nippy. Yuck. |

"Hello Professor" She smiled at the Professor, before taking a seat next to Miles, who seemed to be feeling the cold in the room as well. "There called gloves dear." |
Well she had never thought that this subject would turn about to be one that she liked especially because it was a subject that didn't require the use of a wand. But she found that history could be quite interesting, not quite sure if it was the subject itself or the Professor either way she was looking forward to the class. Making her way into the class she paused by the Professor's desk, "Good day Professor Truebridge" she greeted brightly before making her way to an empty desk. She hesitated a split second before deciding on sitting down next to Plymouth Morgan, maybe this way she could keep him and Celandine from getting into trouble again. |

Anna passed by Plymouth Morgan's desk, winked, and then took the seat right behind him. It was always an adventure sitting by Plymouth Morgan in class. He made things...amusing, to say the least. After she was settled, Anna read the topic of the lesson and then pulled her textbook out, flipping through it to try and find any information on what they were going to learn about. Occasionally, she'd glance up at Professor Truebridge. Was he...sleeping? |
If she was being honest with herself, Willow had to admit that she was quite surprised -in a good way- of her perfomance so far this term in the subject. Not that she had ever been a bad History of Magic student with Lainey, but she was doing better now--which explained why a small smile danced upon her rosy lips as she stepped inside the classroom. However, as soon as she was inside, the smile left her face. She shivered. Why on Merlin's beard was the classroom so bloody cold? Had Trubridge left the windows opened? No, he had not. Then why was it so cold? Willow did not like feeling cold. She didn't even like snow, for crying out loud. Pursing her rosy lips and wrapping her arms around herself, the gilr found a seat around the middle of the classroom, before taking out her parchment, quill, and ink. That was, of course, when she noticed the Professor. The professor and his feet on the desk. How nice. Not. "Good day, Professor Truebridge?" Hesitantly, the girl said. In truth, the man seemed to be napping, but Willow could not be sure for he wa wearing those shades once again. What a strange man. |
Whitney walked into the classroom,a lot happier than she'd been in quite a while. "Hello professor! How're you?" she asked as she walked by his desk, then realized he was...sleeping? "Oops." Taking her seat, she looked at the board and read what was written on it. 'What is that?' she thought. It seemed that this lesson would be funner than the others and that was always nice? She sat in her chair, doodling on her parchment, waiting for class to start. |
Kaitlynn walked into the classroom for the newest History of Magic lesson. This was quickly becoming her favourite class. "Hi, Professor," she said, before looking around the class to see who was here. She reconized a few of them but none that she knew that well. She went over and sat beside Anna, who she knew from the Quill. She hoped this lesson was really good. She pulled her sweater tighter around her as she sat down. The air was a little chilly in here, and she hoped she'd warm up soon. |
Reese walked into the classroom and her body shivered. Why was it cold? She rubbed her hands together, trying to produce some heat,so her hands wouldn't freeze. She headed over to the desk and sat all her stuff down. She took a seat and glanced at the board to see what the topic was going to be. The Tales of Beetle the Bard? It's been ages since she read that book. Reese looked at the Professor and raised her eyebrow. Was he sleeping?Geez, that was a bad idea. Some little first could do something horrible and the Professor would be sleeping through the whole thing. |
As Ludo rounded the first floor corridor and entered the History of Magic classroom he couldn't help but notice how cold it was. Ludo was praying the spring would get a move on and get to Hogwarts already. Be that as it may, he saw Liz and took a seat next to her. He inclined his head to Professor Truebridge in case he'd drawn attention before reading the board and taking out all of his class supplies he'd no doubt need. With his luck he wouldn't have been surprised to find his ink frozen in the well. Fortunately, it wasn't. |
Joanne enters the class room and sits quietly in the back of the class with quill and parchment ready. Tales of Beedle the Bard, I love them, she thinks, this is going to be a nice lesson. She waits for the professor to come. |
Abby walks into the classroom and finds herself a seat. The rooms a little chilly, but that's about average for Hogwarts. |
As Cela walked into the classroom she overheard Abby ask for the windows to be closed and shot the girl a curious look. They were closed. Cela waved brightly at Anna and gave Plymouth a special little Plym-only smile before taking the seat in front of him. Ignoring Kayla. Pointedly. She opened her book and began reading over her notes from the previous classes. |
She stepped into the classroom and immediately felt conflicted. When did she arrive late enough to classes to have poor choices in seating arrangements? Celandine was sitting on the very front seat, behind her sat Plymouth Morgan who had Kayla on one side--haaa. This was uncomfortable. Taking a deep breathe she sat on the row next to Celandine's own, right next to Morgan. Not feeling daring enough to chat, she simply brushed her bangs to the side repeatedly, lips pursed. Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, who's the most popular of them all? |
Plymouth had girrrrrls all around him. Anna to one side, giving him those scary looks she did, Kayla on the other - who didn't have to GIVE him scary looks because she was naturally scary, and Daphadil Hoppyton who just thought she was scary but was actually a kitten. And then his CellBell, his poor little Cela, came in and sat in front of him. Right where she belonged, he thought. She probably needed some cheering up. He immediately began scribbling a note to Quote:
Smooth as a rocky-bottomed creek, Plymouth passed the note over Cela's shoulder and let it land on her desk. Then he sat back, crossed his hands on his tummy, and waited. |

Reading her copy of Beedle, Kayla watched Plymouth out of the corner of her eye scribble on a piece of parchment and then hand it over to Cela and she rolled her eyes. Honestly does that boy never learn, she had a good mind to tell him that she had seen Nico and he was extremely mad at the events that had taken place. Nah...she would wait until Plymouth got his letter from Nico instead. Leaning down to get some parchment out of her bag, Kayla dislodged Webster her pet tarantula from his resting spot and he crawled out of her bag. She gave Plymouth a fleeting glance before giving Webster a little nudge with her foot right in Plymouth's direction. Go get him boy. Kayla looked back up at the front to see that Professor Truebridge still appeared to be asleep and she chanced another glance down at the floor and was pleased to see that Webster was now climbing up Plymouth's leg. Stifling a giggle, she looked back to the front. |
*Gabben walked in and set his pack on a desk near Kayla. He looked down and frowned at the tarantula.* "And you yell at me for getting points taken away." *He whispered to Kayla as he sat down.* |
Kaika stepped inside, and was about to say 'Hello, Profesor', but he didn't seem to be in the classroom at all...mind-wise, of course...he was sleeping?! Man, she could be sleeping too at the moment! Life was certainly not fair. And this desks, all weird out. Not much to her liking, but she took a seat in the center and read the board. Oh, that was...interesting...and sort of boring...yet exciting if they got to talk about her favorite tale. |
Copernicus entered the class and did a mental head slap. Plymouth was right in the center of the room, which was such bad luck. He ruffled his hair and sank into the seat next to Cela and in front of Daphne. He could protect her from here but he didnt' have to touch her. He wouldn't. |
Maddox walked into the classroom, noting the the professor appeared to be sleeping, though he was pretty sure he wasnt...was he? Mads shook the thought off and walked to an empty desk, close to Kayla. He smiled and nodded at her. Then he pulled out his book, parchemnt, ink, and his phoenix feather quill. This class would be exciting, as usual. |
