Emiliano listened to the professor's instructions. He was still thinking what time period he would study, what type of questions he would make. But it seemed easy, he just loved to be inqusitive. He looked around, someone to talk History of Magic with? |

Imagine yourself as a journalist, check. That was simple, because what Juniper knew of journalists was that they wrote stuff. And she was perfectly good at writing stuff. Choose a ten-year period. That was... more difficult. Hmmmm... she would get back to that. Work together? Juniper looked around the room, immediately spotting anti-nature girl. That was an easy partner. Juniper leaned in the older girl's direction. "Pssssttttt. Willow Kovac," Juniper hissed, for some reason reluctant to speak loudly. "Be my partner?" Hopefully she would say yes. Then all she would have to do would be to choose a ten-year period and write three questions related to it. Oh, and she would have to discuss. But anti-nature girl would have to lead the discussion. Lucky for her, she was pretty sure Kovac was a talker. More than Juniper, anyway. |

Oh, it was. . . Goodwin. And she'd just used her entire name. What a strange girl. "Yes, Juniper Goodwin." Hah. Packing her belongings, the young Ravenclaw went to sit down in a seat that was not particularly close to Goodwin's --she enjoyed having her personal space, thank you very much-- but close enough that she would able to talk to her without difficulty. "What period should we discuss?" |
Again with the partnering up? Didn't these teachers ever let people work by themselves? Copernicus gnawed at his lip and glanced around at the other students. Who wasn't partnered up yet? |

Or not. Juniper literally gaped at the Ravenclaw Quidditch captain when she asked which period they should discuss. Kovac was asking her? She had been about to ask the older girl for ideas. Mouth opening in closing in a way quite resemblant of a fish, Juniper simply stared at the fifth year for a moment as she scanned all the dates in history that she knew off the top of her head, in search of a grouping of ten years that had the most dates. "Errrr... how about the first ten years that Lord Voldemortist was in power?" Lots of things had happened in those ten years, right? Hopefully. And if not... well, Juniper would be surprised if anti-nature girl could come up with a better idea. Quote:

Okay, so this next little assignment didn't seem too difficult. She could easily pick out a few dates and whip up a few questions. All she needed now was a partner. Darn. It appeared that most others already had one. It'd really be rather boring if she ended up working alone... |
Juniper & Copernicus If Willow were being one hundred percent honest with herself, she had to admit that Juniper Goodwin was not as bad as she used to. Perhaps that year she had spent in Africa had somehow . . . changed her? Whatever. Point was, she did not annoy Willow nearly as much. In fact, the girl didn't annoy her at all. But that did not mean they were friends. Yes, that's right. Ignoring the expression that had taken over Juniper's face, Willow shrugged and asnwered simply, "Sure, I guess that's fine." Lord Voldemortist. Willow didn't need to read -which she didn't- to know who that man was. Everyone knew who he was. And then Juniper was telling some boy Willow did not know to join them. Weell--at least it was a Ravenclaw boy, which meant that he had to be smart. But then, the sorting hat made mistakes sometimes. Or so she thought. "What do you know about Lord Voldemortist?" Asked the girl, looking at him. |

Upon hearing the boy speak, Willow had to actually blink a few times. He was so. . . polite. It reminded her a lot of her grandfather, and she had to admit that meeting a boy that spoke like that was refreshing somehow. "Yes, the very same." She nodded, before gazing into space thoughtfully for a second, "That was time when some professors were resurrected by some kind of draught... I forgot its name." She was too busy being thankful that she had NOT attended to Hogwarts during that time. Shaking the boy's hand briefly before letting go of it, Willow said, "Nice to meet you, Copernicus Kettleburn. I'm Willow Kovac." |
ooc: I'm sort of here and sort of not *makes face* Quote:
She turned back to Tobi, "So I guess we have to figure out what is important to ask; like... not questions relating to specific people since we only have three.... I think a 'whats your opinion' type of question is a good start and... what else was going on in history at that time?" Celandine looked around, spotted Copernicus and waved at him, making a mental note to catch him later to give him the little thing she'd gotten. She paused and looked around, "Anyone else want to work with us? Anna?" |

"If I were a journalist, I would want to know how many of the events in these years took place outside," Juniper said. "But... that's probably not helpful." No. It was most definitely not helpful. Because Anti-Nature Girl was herself, and Juniper doubted that Copernicus or anybody else really cared whether events were indoors our outdoors. |

. . . "I would most likely ask the people that died and resurrected, what it felt like to die and if that changed their perspective on life, and such." Oh, it would definitely change hers. But then, what did she know? It wasn't like she had died before, or anything. And then she shrugged just because. "Why wouldn't that be helpful?" She inquired, turning to look at Juniper. |
Cope wrinkled his nose to consider all of the possible questions they could ask. "It sounds like we each might have different aspects of that time period. Juniper is interested in... perhaps the impact Voldemortist's interests had on... the environment?" He gave her a rueful smile to let her know it sounded idiotic and she was welcome to tell him to shut his mouth. "And Willow has a very human interest angle, wondering about the professors who were brought back to life and the potion. And I think I am most interested in knowing more about how Voldemortist continued to get access to the castle and renewed safety measures that stemmed from that. So that's very diverse." |

Tobi understood how she felt about working alone, it was okay, but much more fun to meet new people, if it hadn't been for classes, he wouldn't know lots of great people. Too many to count really. "We haven't got any questions mapped out yet, though. Shall we brainstorm about that then?" he suggested. |

"So we just have to think up three questions, and we'll have the time period basically covered," Juniper concluded with a tiny smile. "I've got one: 'How was the giant squid affected by the commotion that Voldemortist caused around the castle?' Because the giant squid lives in the lake, and changes around the lake would affect the lake and thus the squid, so knowing about the squid would let us know about everything else in the general vicinity, too." Another student walked over and asked to join them, and Juniper glanced at her housemates, unsure of what they would say. She was not about to say no, but she had already invited someone to join without asking Willow. It would be just plain rude to do it again. |

It was very hard for Willow not to chuckle at Copernicus' idea -because the boy probably didn't know how right he might be- but that would probably make her look like an idiot, which is why she settled for a grin. Juniper would mind about the impact Lord Voldemortist had on the enviroment. "You know, Copernicus, you sound like my grandfather." And that was not a bad thing. "I mean, not as in your voice, but as the way you speak." She shrugged. She was scribbling down all the topics they would be covering when someone else decided to join them. A girl. "Um," she looked at the other two, "Sure, I guess that's fine." And then she was distracted by Juniper question. The Giant Squid? Seriously? "How was the people that live in Hogsmeade affected by all the things that happened at Hogwarts?" She added. |
Abby smiles and takes the extra seat. "Thank you, what ten year period are you'll talking about?" |
