Emiliano listened to the professor's instructions. He was still thinking what time period he would study, what type of questions he would make. But it seemed easy, he just loved to be inqusitive. He looked around, someone to talk History of Magic with?

"Yeah that's intersting. I would like to know more about the era, i mean the time when Harry, Ron and Hermione fought Voldmort." she said. "But we can start with the goblis. So what do you think about the goblins." she asked with a smile

"Cool, we can talk about them next." Melanie said, giving her friend an encouraging grin. "Well, I think goblins are a bit selfish if you know what I mean... But they're fascinating too. I like that they stood their ground and rebelled... unlike house elfs. Of course though the elves are happy that way.." she said thoughtfully.

"I agree with you they are selfish, like for example that rule about the truly owner" she said. "And yes it was good for them to rebel. But like people said they are not very trustful"

Still tapping her chin with her quill as an absentminded movement, the Ravenclaw brunette barely hear the whisper -or was it a hiss- coming from someone addressing to her.

Oh, it was. . . Goodwin. And she'd just used her entire name. What a strange girl. "Yes, Juniper Goodwin." Hah.

Packing her belongings, the young Ravenclaw went to sit down in a seat that was not particularly close to Goodwin's --she enjoyed having her personal space, thank you very much-- but close enough that she would able to talk to her without difficulty. "What period should we discuss?"

Feeling as if she'd been out of the loop for the entire class, Anna finally perked up and glanced at the professor. Imagine herself as a journalist? She was a journalist, though---for The Quill. Ahhh, well, no sense in focusing on trivial matters at the moment. Anna closed her eyes for a moment and imagined herself working alongside Clara Belle and Getti Forde at the Daily Prophet. Anna hd always secretly thought those two were just too cool. It'd be really awesome to work alongside them both.

Okay, so this next little assignment didn't seem too difficult. She could easily pick out a few dates and whip up a few questions. All she needed now was a partner. Darn. It appeared that most others already had one. It'd really be rather boring if she ended up working alone...

Copernicus shifted his chair over toward the girls. "If you really don't mind, I would be honored to join you. Were you planning on discussing the time period that Lord Voldemortist was seeking the Book of Mysteria here at Hogwarts?" He was actually pretty excited to discuss the topic, considering it was the one he'd mentioned in class. He turned to Willow. "I'm called Copernicus Kettleburn," he bowed his head and offered his hand.

"Hmmm." Celandine turned around and thought about the question, "Grindlewald!"
She turned back to Tobi, "So I guess we have to figure out what is important to ask; like... not questions relating to specific people since we only have three.... I think a 'whats your opinion' type of question is a good start and... what else was going on in history at that time?" Celandine looked around, spotted Copernicus and waved at him, making a mental note to catch him later to give him the little thing she'd gotten.

She paused and looked around, "Anyone else want to work with us? Anna?"

"Yes, that was when the ghost professors came back to their corporeal bodies," Copernicus nodded. "So... if you were a journalist, what sorts of things would you want to know? That could help us brainstorm some good questions."

Anna, who'd begun to think she just might have to work alone this time, sat up straight and practically beamed when she heard Cela ask if she'd like to join her little group. Thank Merlin! It had been sort of awkward sitting there all alone with no one to discuss the assignment with. "Oh, of course!" Anna remarked, scooting herself closer to Cela and Tobi. "Thanks for asking me. I was actually starting to think I'd be stuck working alone, which didn't seem to be all that exciting." Anna picked up her quill and prepared herself for a little note-writing. "Alright, so, one of you catch me up. Have you two decided on a particular time period yet, or no?" she asked, looking back and forth between Cela and Tobi.

Oh, good. They had covered the basics like each other's names and what had happened during their period quickly. Tapping her quill on the palm of her hand, Juniper brainstormed. If she were a journalist...she would not be writing about history, that was for sure. She would be journaling about nature. Hmm.

"If I were a journalist, I would want to know how many of the events in these years took place outside," Juniper said. "But... that's probably not helpful." No. It was most definitely not helpful. Because Anti-Nature Girl was herself, and Juniper doubted that Copernicus or anybody else really cared whether events were indoors our outdoors.

Distractedly, she began to chew on her bottom lip as she pondered the boy's question. Well, she was already a journalist so that part she didn't have to pretend. . .

. . . "I would most likely ask the people that died and resurrected, what it felt like to die and if that changed their perspective on life, and such." Oh, it would definitely change hers. But then, what did she know? It wasn't like she had died before, or anything. And then she shrugged just because. "Why wouldn't that be helpful?" She inquired, turning to look at Juniper.

Tobi smiled at his Prefect, he almost never really spoke to her, but she seemed nice enough. "We thought we'd go with the last ten years before Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald. Does that work for you?"

Tobi understood how she felt about working alone, it was okay, but much more fun to meet new people, if it hadn't been for classes, he wouldn't know lots of great people. Too many to count really.

"We haven't got any questions mapped out yet, though. Shall we brainstorm about that then?" he suggested.

Abby walks over carrying her chair to where Copernicus is discussing questions with some girls. "Can I join you'll?" Abby puts on her best puppy dog face.

Anna, pleased to be working with such a hard-working Gryffindor (and a hard-working Ravenclaw for that matter), returned Tobi's smile. "That time period works just fine. So, let me think...Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald in 1945, right? So we're roughly looking at 1935 to 1945, "Anna said, jotting down a few notes on her parchment. "Well, according to history, Tom Riddle, or Lord Voldemort as he's known, was officially invited to Hogwarts in the year 1935. Oh, and in the early 1940's, Dumbledore became the Transfiguration professor at Hogwarts," she added. "What, in particular, are we focusing on? The general events in those ten years, the most important events, the events only related to Dumbledore, or...what?"

Impact on the environment. Juniper stared, slightly awestruck, at Copernicus. He clearly had a way with words that she could never hope to have. But now they had three general topics, and that was good.

"So we just have to think up three questions, and we'll have the time period basically covered," Juniper concluded with a tiny smile. "I've got one: 'How was the giant squid affected by the commotion that Voldemortist caused around the castle?' Because the giant squid lives in the lake, and changes around the lake would affect the lake and thus the squid, so knowing about the squid would let us know about everything else in the general vicinity, too."

Another student walked over and asked to join them, and Juniper glanced at her housemates, unsure of what they would say. She was not about to say no, but she had already invited someone to join without asking Willow. It would be just plain rude to do it again.

"I have no objections if it's alright with everyone else," Copernicus gestured at an open spot.

"You could take it one step further and ask what sort of long term spell damage occurred on the grounds," Copernicus offered to her. "It might be interesting to know if all of that fighting and such caused damage to the plant life, or if it frightened any of the Magical Creatures other than the squid. That's a good one," he nodded. "Is it three questions each? I think we could easily come up with nine... I mean twelve questions."
