Abby raises her hand. "Propagate means to increase either sexually or assexually. I guess when it comes to plants it means something similar to cross pollination or artifically pollinating a flower."

Helios kept to himself near the back of the garden, arms folded in defiance, his features contorted into a sour look.

The tranquility of the student garden was broken by the teachers enthusiasm. Was his memory failing him? He couldn't remember the professor being so flakey. Maybe he was just becoming a grump.

"Something isn't right.." The Greek boy muttered while watching the class suspiciously.

Cela raised her hand again, "You could use it to prank muggles. They'd be all 'ZOMG the bush is moving!' And you'd be all 'Erm. No I don't see nothing. You are crazy' Orrrr you could use it to distract people from more dangerous plant that you have in your garden so you can trap people and steal their candy."

Thinking of another suggestion, Anna raised her hand. "Oh, Professor! What about using it as a hideout? You know, usually you can tell when a person is hiding in a bush or small tree, because you can see it shaking. However, since a flutterby shakes naturally, you could use the plant for camoflague! No one would ever know you were there until BAM!!!---you jump right out and...erm, do whatever it is you plan on doing...," she said.

krissy shook her head at Cela. What a silly answer! Like muggle candy could compare to anything they could get at Honeydukes. She giggled.

Flutterbys? Yes. He was definitely dreaming now. Just so long as he wasn't snoring, cause that'd be ridiculous.... and well, than he'd definitely be doomed.

Abby notices the Hufflepuff Prefect staring at Professor Ashby like he's seeing a ghost. "Are you alright?"

"Oh, you are most welcome, Professor!" Ian chimed. "I am pleased to help a fellow professor."

He bounced on over to an unoccupied plot of dirt and sat down. "I'll be over here until you need me!" The first thing he did was, of course, start building a sand dirt castle.

She didn't know how to keep an eye on. The pink twit in coveralls or the charms Professor building the dirt castle like a little kid. She wanted to watch the castle construction to be honest.

Oh yes, Dominic was definitely dreaming now! He was sure of it as he heard an unfamiliar female's voice asking him if he was alright. Inhaling deeply, he snorted once in attempts to clear his congested nasal passageways, to no avail.

"Huh? What? No... no... I'm to the left, please," he spoke, startled, looking around to see where the voice had come from.

Perhaps if Dominic had been more oriented to his surroundings than he would have questioned the dirt castle that the charms professor had started building. But right now, that seemed to be quite fascinating! And perhaps beneficial for his sinuses too, in being around dirt instead of ... well, whatever it was in the air that was making him feel like this.

"Ooh! Can I help?!" He asked, way more eager than usual. So not his usual self, which he was sure people would wonder what was in his morning pumpkin juice.

Ella silently moved from her place and just sat down next to Paris. She had no clue of what was going on around her. Bushes, hide and seek, dirt castle..charms professor. She might be dozzed off, surely. "I should pay more attention. after all I'm in Prof. Green Pea's class.." she mutterd mostly to herself before sneeze. Huchooo!!

Abby watches as the prefect decides to help Professor Ashby build a dirt castle? Now she knows Hogwarts has gone crazy. [I]Well, when in Rome, do as the Romans or rather the loonies. "If you're going to make a castle, you're going to need to wet the dirt. That dry dirt isn't going to stand up." Abby goes over and finds a watering can in the tool shed. She fills it with water. Okay where do you want It?"

She looked up as Dominic offered to help Professor Ashby with his sand castle. She had never seem him volunteer to be nice in his life. She wanted to play in the sand too, but she didn't want to play with Dom "The dumdum" Denton.

She looked over when Ella sneezed. "Are you alright?" She asked her as she pulled a handkerchief out of her bag and handed to her best friend.

Ella chuckled as Paris watched Dominic with some weird expression on her face. She took the handkerchief from her, "thanks. No I've cold and all rubbish.." she said, sneezed again. Uh ho..I guess I need some medication..

Then she got an idea. "Excuse me Professor, I've a doubt. Is there any herbs to cure common cold and stuffs quickly? I mean real quickly?" she asked as she stood up. Manners!HA!!

Ian looked at the helper students suspiciously. "No! My castle!" Wait. Did he just say that? "Er...I mean...shouldn't you be paying attention to the lesson?"

Oh!! Someone else to help build the castle!!! This was going to be such fun and this one seemed to be quite smart too. "Ah right, yes, thank you... But well, all over, i think," Dominic nodded as started to place some dirt onto a nice mound. Who knew that getting dirty could be funnnnn!?

"What do you think, Professor?" He turned to the charms professor, asking about the water placement. "All over, eh?"

Hearing someone ask if they were all right... again? odd question to ask, Dominic nonetheless looked around to see who the voice was this time. Ah... it was PARIS!! Plighty Paris? Wait... no... Punishable? Yes, perhaps, likely... She'd deserve it that was for certain!

Sighing as she looked like she wanted to help, he shrugged it off and instead returned to his castle making, but frowned at Ashby's angst.

Jane raised her hands to ask Professor Bunbury something, but with stutters because she's really scared of her.

"Ummm...Prrro--proo--pofff----profess-ssorrr? I thhaa--thinkkk you can u--usee the flutt--fluutas as a pet for ki--kids until they ca--can tak--take care of them an--andd th-thenn you give them a rea--reall an-an-animallll," Jane was shooting a weird look at the flutterby bush around her as it tried to crawl to her hair.

Ian had to stop himself from growling at the intrusive students. "I don't see what you stealing my thunder has to do with....Professor, what are you teaching today? Puffalypoods? Flubberties? Well...that."

Ian was suddenly stricken by hunger. "I'm hungry! I want steak! Bunbunz, do you, by chance, have any steak?" He rubbed his tummy, attempting to quell its growling. "Shhhh, tummy! Shush!"

Amazing, wasn't it, how her temper was under control and all? "Steak?" Annie blinked distracedly. "Ummmm nope, but you know, I wonder what puffapod leaves taste like. Or grass. Have you tried grass? Heheheeeee," she giggled wildly for a moment and then remembered that oh yeah, she was mad at the dirt-castle makers.

The flutterby bushes started quivering again, shirking away from Annie's hand as she pushed their cart out into the open. "We wizards do have a spell for pruning plants but before we begin," the bushes again quivered anxiously at the word 'pruning'.

"Before we begin, what IS pruning exactly? And why do we do it? And most importantly," Annie stroked one purple flower gently, "what sort of precautions do ya'll think we should take around a bush as sensitive as a flutterby?"

The boy who claimed royalty hissed under his breath. What sort of childish plot were the adults at this place participating in. Surely they recognized their lunacy.

Helios didn't much care for the school normally, but at least then they showed their authority and demanded respect. He wasn't here to have fun and play in the dirt.

Too serious to lighten up, Helios rose to his feet, brushing the dirt from his robes.

"I believe I've learned all that can for this lesson." He stated with dignity, masking his anger.

Excuse me? Like a Castle? In the middle of the lesson? Wait...there was a lesson, wasn't it? Yes, Kaika hadn't been paying much attention, she was just sitting..ummm, wherever it was that she was sitting.

Quidditch doesn't involve Herbology. And her mind was Quidditch at the moment, so she was just sitting where she had to be sitting, makes sense? Yes!

And then the professor, if she was one, started to speak again..."Yay!" woops, it sorta slipped, but she was happy to find out about the spell...if Bunbury ever mentioned the spell.

"Pruning will be something like taking the damaged parts of the plant away, right? Like leaves and stuff?" she said, after raising her hand. It wasn't suppose to sound like a question, but she didn't even know if she'd heard the question correctly.

She tilted her head to one side as she listened, "So, that will mean that the butterfly, thanks to you, has a lot of diseased leaves of sorts and we have to make the plant look as new...or not new, but healthy" yeah, so confusing some times, "And, I assume, we don't want the butterflies from the butterfly to leave its shelter...so, yeah, be extra careful" she nodded and felt the urge to actually look at the plant, she frowned, "Why doesn't it has butterflies?" she asked, truly confused.

Kayla raised her hand, " Pruning is removing diseased, unproductive and unwanted portions of a plant. Regular pruning little and often will extend the life of a plant and encourage dense compact growth and lush flowering" she answered and took a breath before continuing, "I think you would have to take extra special care with a flutterby bush because it tends to move often and you have to make sure that you are pruning the right parts of the bush." Kayla put down her hand just in time to hear Helios speak.


She narrowed her eyes at him, "You sit down this instant. I will not have you leave in the middle of a class and lose points for Hufflepuff. If you don't like how this class is going, then I suggest you just suck it up and sit through it. You never know you may actually learn something."

Kayla turned back to face the Professor, breathing heavily. If he so much as made a move to leave she would tackle him to the ground and drag him back by his bloody hair!

Via raised her hand as she heard the Professor's question, "Professor, pruning is the removal of plant parts, typically shoots, branches, fronds and flowers. We do it to improve the health, control growth or influence fruiting, flowering or appearance of a plant. Hmmm. Maybe we should be careful in working with them, let's be more gentle to the plants, proffesor so as not to hurt them.." She wasn't sure with her answer about the Flutterby.
