Chris nervously pushed the button like he was told. Through the head phones came music. It took chris by surprise and it scared the crap out of him. "Wow didnt expect that," he said louder than he should have, because he couldnt hear anything else. "What song is this, i like it."

" Um... Let me see." Chalice said and looked at the screen. "It's This Afternoon by Nickelback. Do you want to turn the music down?"

Willie eyed the professor, his eyes darling him to do something to him. That guy wouldn't even think twice before he would do something to him. He was a student and he was just a little kid. What cruel monster would he be if he did something to someone as adorable as Willie?

His thoughts were wrong.

Very wrong.

Willie's mouth fell open, but his tongue would not unstick itself from the roof of his mouth. "YAYAhayehaeyaah!" He flailed, feeling a bit panicky. But when the older man explained, his panic melted away and was replaced with annoyance. "Yaahyeayayayahyayay!" He snapped, hoping the man would understand. His eyes glared at him. Stupid, stu--

Uh oh.

Once hearing Old Bugger call him out, Willie hopped out of his chair (and amazingly, his clothes fit him!) and instantly hid behind the old man, clenching tightly on his clothes. "Yayaheyahthhtahyaa" He told the old man, his small hands holding onto him as if his life depended on it.

"Yes please!" Chris said loudly and shook his head up and down to make sure she heard him. She probobly thought he was an idiot.

Chalice laughed at how Chris looked. "Watch." she said as she put her tumb a little after the half way point on the left and dragged it right. "Adjust as needed, I turned it down like seven points but I don't know."

Lizzie couldn't stop laughing. Chris you know you're speaking very LOUDLY she said, giving him a bright smile.

" Loudly? Understatement Lizzie." Chalice laughed.

I know. But I don't wanna hurt his feelings Lizzie said, still laughing a bit, and gave Chalice a big smile. I thought muggle electronics didn't work in here? she said, curiously wondering how her friend had managed to make the iPod work.

Chris smiled as he saw them tell him he was talking loudly. He couldnt hear what they were saying though. "Its good!" he yelled

Hayden sat there and opend a letter she had in her pocket.

Hayden shook her head. "Rubbish. Complete and utter rubbish."

Lizzie shook her head and laughed. You're so crazy she told Chris, taking the music out of one of his ears and said You might not wanna scream like that.. with a giggle. The whole great hall will think you're going mad she laughed.

Chris smiled at her as she pulled out the head set and he could hear again. "I was yelling? Oops." he laughed "Was it bad?"

Not at all she said, still trying not to laugh too much. Just a bit of screaming and some confused looks from people at the other end of the table she joked.

"Oh crap!" chris said smiling "Now people are going to think im crazy." he laughed

Jake nodded at Dominic when he commented about expecting great things. So... should he announce now that he planned to take all possible classes? Was that a good thing or would he be admonished for taking on too much for an 11 year old?

"Thank you, sir," Jake replied as he rubbed his side. It had hurt! But... Dominic had actually stood up for Jake, even if it was, at Jake suspected, only because they were in the same house. Jake bit his lip... did he really want to plant those dungbombs? No... but he'd promised Cameron, and Jake never broke a promise.

Ruh-roh... the Willie Crocker the Fork Fairy was making a scene, and just lost their house 5 points. Jake looked up at Dominic to see how he'd react. Aah... he was going to intervene... this could NOT be good. He nodded to the prefect acknowledging his look, and watched.

Okay... so far so good... Ooh... it seemed that Dominic didn't know Willie was in Hufflepuff too... Best prepare my ear-plugs for the screaming later on.

And... yep, there it was, that teacher, Mr Unpredictable, had turned on Dominic. Really, there was no pleasing that man!

Daphne sipped on her pumpkin juice as calmly as she could manage. The thrill coursing through her plump body she could not describe as anything but pure ecstasy at seeing a Master in his craft. Her hazel eyes darted from Hufflepuff boy to Hufflepuff boy to Staff Member, awaiting the next move.

If she was good at determining battles (which she thought she was) she could forecast that whoever this old man was, would come out victorious.

After all, warfare was based upon deception and the old geezer had the looks of a fragile senior on his side, despite the ominous glint in his beady eyes and that ever threatening cane which most likely hid some kind of paralyzing dart ready to be shot at unsuspecting necks.

Oh I dunno. Maybe they'll just think you're very enthusiastic about muggle music she said with a smirk and put some more potatoes on her plate.

"yeah im sure they will think that." he said sarcastically and then laughed. he then added some more chicken to his plate, he had starved himself all day waiting for this feast.

Dominic blinked as he heard the very old man first speaking to the rabid ear biter, deducting yet another five points. Trying to calm himself with some soothing words and numbers, the fifth year waited for some sort of reaction. But it seemed that the old man hand glued the young boy's tongue as he was unable to speak clearly.

"No sir, of course not," he replied nervously, his eyes flickering from the man's wrinkled face to the flailing boy behind him. "Though I'm sure if hexing a student is really managing the problem either," the hufflepuff sighed, biting his lower lip. "However as you seem to have more experience than myself, I'll trust you to handle it, and if you need me to escort him back to his table, then let me know. I'm Dominic Denton, by the way, fifth year." Yes, best to offer his name and politeness to this grampa.

"Muggle music?" Hayden smiled at Lizzie.

You're hungry Lizzie said, more as a statement than a question. Guess this feast is worth the long train ride she added with a smile.

Giving Hayden a smile Lizzie answered Yeah, Chris just tried Chalice's iPod. He had a hard time speaking at the right.. well loud enough of only us to hear. She grinned.

Chris turned to Hayden "They had the music up so loud i couldnt hear myself talk so i screammed and they are making fun off me." he joked

Aww poor Chris Lizzie said, putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. We won't make fun of you she said with a giggle. Just a little bit.

Hayden laughed."I wonder how he would react to cell phones." She pulled hers out knowing it wouldn't work because there was to much magic around her for it to work."I can't wait for school to end. I miss my computer too." She put the phone away and sighed.

Chris smiled "well its not my fault im pure-blood." he laughed "Almost all of my friends know more about muggles than me. Thats why i like taking Muggle Studies here."

"Computor's, Cell phones?" Chris asked confused "What the heck are those things?"
