Ashton's mouth froze agape while Nick spoke. Her conversation of moving staircases completely forgotten. She'd read all about Nick, but never in her five years here had she seen him.

Finally, she closed her mouth, hoping nobody noticed her dumbfounded expression. "Why, hello there Nick! Gryffindors for the cup....cheerio!" She mumbled meekly.

Allie winced just thinking about getting hit that many tiems with an ax.
"Oo that must have hurt." she said, sympathicly. She then gave the ghost a smile. "Well it is nice to meet you Sir Nicholas de Mim..Poro..ummm Sir Nicholas! I'm Allie!"

Fred was still on the ground, not moving nor flinching. His eyes kept staring at the ghost like he was something monstrous. Mostly nothing was scarying him but this was something he never face before and unknown was something he hated above all else. Pushing himself an inch back he was wondering if he would escape what kind of impression he would leave behind.

"Hello. I'm Ginny Jackson, and you are?" She asked.
Ginny looked around the very large room with clearly open eyes. *The first year is the hardest* She thought.



(BTW Ginny is the name i go by on the net. I dont like using my real name.)

"Oh,that's why I couldn't find you,"Reese said.She picked up a roll from the table and took a bit out of it.She listened to Cale talk about the Slytherin prefets.Gah. "The Slytherin prefects scare me.After getting on the wrong foot with Trel,I learned never to get in the way of Prefects."

Reese dropped her un when a ghost appeared from nowhere.That was a startle."Uh-Hello.Sir Nicholas,"she said."I'm Reese."She gave the ghost a little wave and a sweet smile.

Zeke looked over at the girl who'd been talking to Cale and Anna. She heard her introduce herself to the ghost as Reese. "Hello, Reese," he said with a smile. "I'm Zeke. And what the heck is up with ghosts popping up out of nowhere?" He whispered hastily.

Reese tok her eyes of Sir Nicholas and looked at the boy who introduced himself to her."Oh,Hello,Zeke.It's a pleasure to meet you,"she said."Oh,gesh.I don't know why they pop out of nowhere.I think they enjoy coming out of nowhere.I would if I was a ghost."She smiled at him.

Lana was lost in all the talk about moving staircases and escalators. she hadn't made herself seem particularly loquacious so she decided to talk it up."i didn't know the staircases moved. greaaaat." that was going to do well with the uncoordinated. Lana noticed a girl sitting near her gaping at something and turned to look in that direction. startled, she screamed when she saw his head roll onto his shoulder and bumped into the Slytherin first year that she was sitting near, knocking her plate of food over. blushing, she pulled the pieces of food out of her long brunette hair. "ooo, im soo sorry" she said

Ashton giggled a bit to herself when the girl spilled her food all over at the site of Sir Nicolas, but then she realized how rude she was being. Ashton bent down and helped clean up the mess.

"Hey, I'm Ashton. A fifth year. What about you?" She questioned.

Zeke laughed. "That's probably true. I think I would enjoy it, too," he said. He pictured himself popping out of a wall and scaring his sister, which made him chuckle to himself.

lana was relieved once again for the help

"thank you, im alana, just lana actually, its my first year here. sorry." she burted out. "im not usually this much of a mess." she smiled as the other girl helped her clean the mess.

"I hope so..." she said meekly. She kept an eye on the ghost, whose name seemed to be Nick. "I'm sure that I'll get used to things as time goes on," she added with a small smile.

"Its a ghost?" she whispered to Ashton, still watching Nick. "What else is there that I should be prepared for?"

"I would scare little first years,"Reese said with a laugh."So,you in Gryffindor I can see.What year are you in?"

"I'm a fifth-year. How about you?" Zeke asked.

"I'm a fourth year,"Reese told him."A fourth year Slytherin."She slightly nodded.

Shaylee walked into the great hall in search of her friends. She could smell the great feast and smiled. She noticed Sneeze a little while away, so she walked over to him, sat down started to pile food up on her plate and said, Hey Sneeze! Long time no see. She said eating some mashed patatoes.

The great hall was crowded with new students, she began looking for a seat at the Gryffindor Table. She was so excited to be in Hogwarts!!!, she saw a boy and sit next to him, "Hi there!!!, he said he was James, he seems really nice..."Hi, Im sofia, isn't this exciting???, can't wait for the school to begin!!"

'Finally!' Whitney had never heard that questioned answered with a muggle band. Normally it was something like the Ugly something or who knows what Sisters. Really she had no idea who they were but she'd always gently nod as though she'd known them since she was a toddler. This time though,she'd be able to respond with a proper answer. "Ooo they are really good." she told Zeke with both eyebrows raised. "Hmm,well I'm not sure if you've ever heard them but I really like Boys Like Girls." This, was yet another muggle band, but not as famous as Nickleback, so she really wasn't sure if he'd know them. After she answered she knew what Zeke was thinking so she figured she would simply tell him this: "I will make sure to tell you after the feast." and she grabbed a cup of Pumpkin Juice and drank. Even if she did forget,she was sure he wouldn't,no matter how much Whitney didn't want to tell him.
Whitney simply laughed at her comment. She could imagine some random guy dressed in all black searching the castle for her and vise versa. Then after hearing Hannah say Zeke said she was pretty awesome,she couldn't help but laugh even more. "Spazzes are loveable." she said shrugging with a small smile. "I guess the muggle girls didn't find his magic very charming." Of course,Whitney knew that those girls didn't know he was a wizard because it wasn't allowed. "I can hardly imagine that though,I mean from what I've seen,he knows more girls then guys." This was very true from her perspective. Every time she saw him he was surrounded by girls,the only exception this time was Cale. "Maybe he won't be bothering you as much now." she added with a small wink. She was positive that someone like Zeke was one of those brothers who knew just how to annoy their sisters.
'Ta da!' she thought in her head smiling to herself a bit. It was rather funny,to her,how she knew what questions or comments came after any mention about her summer. Whitney wasn't about to lie about it though,they asked and she answered. Now she had to decide whether she should slowly ease into it,or just tell Anna. "Well,sometime during last term I'd received a letter from my mother. It was my father's funeral." There. She'd used a little of both. She really did want to know about Anna's summer but figured her friend wouldn't tell her until she'd gotten all of her answers. "Had I really never mentioned it?"
Whitney's jaw dropped and a sadness came over her. "I completely forgot this was yours and Anna's last year!" It was just tragic. She'd barely met them and they were already,more or less leaving. "That really isn't fair." she said watching Cale cut his food into tiny pieces. How had he seemed so okay with it? "Oh me too. I know I've only been here a year but it's hard not to feel at home." Especially since her own house wasn't like home anymore. "If you don't mind me asking, what do you plan on doing once you leave?" She'd never had to think that far ahead,but it seemed rather scary now that she did. Life outside of school and Hogwarts. Chills went down her spine.

Sofia started looking arround when she saw Rose, sitting in the opposite side of the table..."Rose!, Hi!!, I didn't see you walking inside", Sofia thougth she was a very nice girl, "It's so exciting, isn't it?"...It was nice to be there...Although her parents were muggles, she realize this was the place to be...it feel like home....

Adrianna was listening to the talk around, glad at her growing group of friends. They had all provided her with so much information, and she was doing her best to remember it all. She sighed, a worry still clawing at her about where her owl could be. It wasn't like Ebony to fly off like he had... suddenly, Adrianna saw a strange sight. There was a boy with two owls on his shoulders- one white and one... "EBONY!" Adrianna exclaimed, standing up like a pistol shot. "Sorry everyone, I'll be over later!" she called, and ran off after the boy.

Dominic couldn't help but smirk again when the younger girl took notice of the badge. Oh the look on her face was absolutely priceless; as though nothing else in the world could have wiped the look of shock and dismay onto her face.

"It doesn't matter who asked who first," he reminded her pointedly, crossing his own arms. "And hmm yes you've reminded me of this little thing and my urgency to speak with the Hufflepuff Head of House," about Kayla, but no need for that to be mentioned. "But yes you're right, it's my duty to stop things like this, except for when it's my own conflicts with annoying little twelve olds like yourself." No, he didn't know if she was twelve, but judging from her size, she had to be about that age, right? Of course right.

"And besides, I'm quite sure that had I apologized, you'd still have some grievance towards me. You and your little sidekick, wherever she is, which is apparently not here," he huffed conclusively, before turning on her and marching towards the staff table. He had more important business to discuss.

Anna sat down at the Gryffindor table, happy to finally be away from the chaos of the staff table. She didn't think she'd ever seen the staff table in that sort of condition before. Anna feared for Cela if any of the staff members ever got wind of just who was responsible for typing all of their shoelaces together. Anna sighed and began preparing herself a small plate of food to eat.

As Anna ate, she happened to look up and notice several unfamiliar faces around her. She smiled at a boy and three girls sitting nearby. "Well, welcome to Gryffindor! I'm Anna, the female prefect," she said. "What are your names?" It was nice to see new faces join the ever-growing crowd of students.

"hello Nearly headless nick!" chris beamed my great grand father told me about you, his name was harry potter." chris smiled "I am his grandson Chris Potter!"

Sofia looked to the pale man, oh!!, she'd never seen a ghosth before...but he seems so confortable floting arround the students, she looked arround to see if everyone was looking surprise.....as she was...

Sofia was distracted with the ghost...when she heard Anna, "Hi Anna, Im Sofia, nice to meet you!, I was just looking at that ghost..."

Sneeze was suprised when he saw Shaylee. "Wow, yeah, the summer was so long. How's everything, Shaylee?" Sneeze said smiling at her.
