At the top of the steep steps, high in Ravenclaw Tower your dormitory awaits you. The circular room is lined with beds and trunks, a few owls flutter about the space and several cats chase dustballs on the wooden floor. Books and homework cast throughout the room show just how studious the members of Ravenclaw are. Pull back the sheets and close the curtains because another day of learning lies ahead! Remember, no boys allowed! | |

Rian smiled at Livvy and Liz. She could always count on her friends to make her forget her problems. "I don't mind be stuck with you guys...I guess," she teased.
When Edie came in and said she was sorry, Rian smiled a bit at her and returned the hug. "It's...okay," she said, biting her bottom lip. Without thinking about it, she looked over to the painting of her and Sneeze. And sighed soundlessly.
She turned back to Livvy when she said that it was a good they'd be there every step of the way. "I don't know, Liv," she said, raising an eyebrow. Well, she felt good enough for sarcasm...that was a start.

Qaz headed over to her bed, grabbed one of her cat's food dishes and served up some of the chicken breast from one of the plastic containers. In a matter of seconds, a rather affectionate orange tabby named HiJinx was on the bed next to her....his face already in the dish of chicken.
While her cat ate, Qaz stashed the remainder of the food in a drawer...then headed back down to the common room.

Finished unpacking, Maura straigtened up. She noticed that on the other side of the room there were three or four girls. None of them looked very happy. She recognized Rian and Livvy but she didn't think she knew anyone else. She hesitated. She wanted to go and see what was the matter, but she was afraid that she might be sticking her nose in where it wasn't wanted. She she bit her lip, undecided.

Samantha had only just reached the Dorms thanks to her friends Capricacios and entered a large room. Walls were lined with blue and gold posters and blue fabric were drapped across the bed.
Sam could not regconise any 1st year looking students in this room. Was it the wrong room, perhaps. Ohwell!
Sam had gotten in just in time to hear a girl introduce herself to someone as Edie. Sam strutted over to Edie looking elegant and introduced herself, "Hi. Im Samantha...you must be Edie? Do you have any idea where the other first years are?" Sam finished and waited for an answer.

Rian looked up when she heard a voice she didn't recognize. When the girl introduced herself as Samantha and asked if there were first years here, Rian turned to look the other way. She quickly whiped the back of her hand under her eyes, hoping to catch any remaining tears.
When she was sure she'd gotten at least most of them, she turned back around. She didn't say anything to the girl though, she just smiled a bit shyly. How embarrassing it was to show a first year that you'd been crying! ...Oh well, maybe she didn't notice...

Amelia entered the room and was nearly mauled by Helios. The sleek, rather small, orange and white cat, that looked almost like a cheetah (and acted like it too) belonged to her. Amelia walked over to her bed and flopped down on it, continuing to write to her Great-Aunt. It had been too loud downstairs.
