At the top of the steep steps, high in Ravenclaw Tower your dormitory awaits you. The circular room is lined with beds and trunks, a few owls flutter about the space and several cats chase dustballs on the wooden floor. Books and homework cast throughout the room show just how studious the members of Ravenclaw are. Pull back the sheets and close the curtains because another day of learning lies ahead!

Remember, no boys allowed!

Rian snorted. "Liver. That's a great one!" she giggled. She pulled a pillow from behind her and set it on her lap, leaning her head down on it. "Oh, my little sister calls me Ina," she laughed. (Eye-nuh) "But that's because she can't pronounce Sahrina-" a grimace "-Correctly." she laughed.

Livvy laughed but then became a false seriousness. "But don't call me that..." she said, and then grinned. "Aww... that's cute... but Ina's a rather nice name.. But I'll just call you Rian."

"Sure thing, Liver." Rian promised, grinning at Livvy. "I actually like Via though," she mused, tipping her head to the other side. Then she laughed when Livvy complimented her nickname. "Alright, you do that then," she joked.

She laughed at what Liz said. "Merel's really not that bad," she said with a shrug.

Livvy snorted. "I'm an organ," she said, shaking her head but laughed. "Via? I'm not quite sure how you guys got Via... except for the V's in my name of course," she said with a grin. "I will do that... Rian is a cool name. And I think Lizzie's a rather nice name."

"Actually your right. I was just thinking about you and the name Lizzie at the feast." Liz says with a giggle.

"No! Nuh, uh, we're not going there again." Liz cries trying not to giggle again.

Rian grinned. "A very important organ," she said with a nod. stared at Livvy with a look of Well, Duh! on her face. "Umm. Olivia" she said with an emphasis.

She looked over at Liz and smiled. "What do you have against Lizzie?" she teased.

"My auntie thinks it's adorable, and when I was really young, she called me that all the way across the playground. Ever since she does it when ever she's looking for me." Liz says with a disgusted look. "It sounds so childish, I think..."

"Besides that my papa's new girl friend, loves it. And thinks I should obey her no matter what. And if I don't, she says LLLIIIZZZZZZZZZIIIEEEEE."

"It sounds like nails on a chalkboard, when she says it!" Liz says with a pinched look on her face.

"Oh," Rian frowned. "Lizzie's out, then?" she continued to frown. Then smiled. "I wonder if the boys will think of these names." she straightened her head, then tipped it to the side again.

There was a disgruntled mreeeeeeow! from under her bed, and Cali leapt onto Rian's lap with a hiss. The fir on her shoulders was bristled, and her tail was as straight as silk. Rian giggled and pet the cat as she climbed onto the pillow Rian was resting her head on.

"I wonder if they ever found their way up here." Liz says with a giggle. "You know guys," Liz mimics "We can find our own way, we don't need directions.

Falling over with giggles, Liz says "Ok, I think I'm tired, I'm getting really goofy..."

Rian giggled and nodded. "Honestly, though, I think I got lost on the dang moving staircases the first time I tried to find this place. And then there was the riddle I had to figure out...Ugh, it was a nice first memory of Ravenclaw," Rian grinned.

Then she bursted out laughing when Liz fell on the floor. "You alright, there?" she teased. Then when she was about to laugh again, a yawn escaped her. "Merlin's lost pinky toe, I'm tired," she said, yawning again. Cali started purring.

Picking herself off the floor, she giggles again "Yea, but I want to know now, if Merlin really had only one pinky toe."

"I think I'm heading to the library tomorrow as soon there's a break in classes." Liz says with a yawn, and climbs under the covers of her bed.

Sitting up again, "I wonder where Duchesse went. I haven't seen her since I let her out of her carrier..."

Rian nodded with a quiet laugh. "Yeah, I'm curious too. But I don't know if it'll be in boo-ooks" the last word was inturupted by yet another yawn. "I'm going to the library too," Rian added, smiling. She lifted Cali off her pillow and postitioned it behind her.

She laid down, and the cat curled onto her stomache. "Well, I think I'm gonna go to bed..." she said, smiling appologetically at the other two girls.

"I think I'll look for her tomorrow." Liz says with a rye grin. "She won't be missing for long without food."

"Same here I'm thinking." Yawning again, "Night girls."

Patricia entered the dorm and headed for her bed. Grabbing her sleep things and toiletries, she headed for the bathroom for a quick wash up. She came back out in record time, waving to the other girls that were still awake, not wanting to speak and risk waking someone up.

She ditched her toiletries in her nightstand and jumped into bed. Its fluffiness enveloped her in a smooth, warm cocoon. Her eyes closed before she could even think about tomorrow's schedule, sleep taking over her tired mind.

Lyra entered the dormitory, trying to be especially quiet when she saw that the other girls were sleeping. She headed over to her trunk, digging around until she found her broom at the bottom. A Firebolt. And she would never see it again after tomorrow.

Still moving quietly, Lyra let Ambrose out of his cage so he could stretch his wings. She looked around at the sleeping kids, hoping she could make friends with some of them. Worn out- physically and emotionally- Lyra changed and went to bed.

Coming into the dorm after a long day. Liz smiles at the memory of finding Copernicus and Plymouth lost in the fourth floor corridor.

Changing into her pajamas, she laughs out loud at the thought of when Plymouth finally got outside the common room, he thought he had to say the ABC's backward, because a first year Hufflepuff, said so.

Mariel opened the door to the dorm room to see that most everyone was sleeping. Making her way to her bed, she pulled her Pygmy Puff's cage up onto the bed and poked a few scraps of bread that she had saved from dinner through the holes of cage.

Glancing up as she decided to let Aramis out to roll around on her bed, she noticed one other girl still awake. One of her fellow Reserve Quidditch players from last term. "Hi, Liz," she said brightly. "Trying out for the team this year?"

Mariel nodded and returned Liz's smile. "Absolutely," she said. "I do hope that we make the regular team this year. I bet we will with the experience we got last year."

"So what position do you hope for?" she asked, thinking of a few in mind for herself.

"Mmmm, I'm hoping seeker or Chaser. But I'm not picky." Liz answers with a smile.

I wonder if Copernicus, plays Quidditch, she tilts her head to the side, thinking.

"I'd be so nervous playing Seeker," Mariel admitted. "Having the whole game riding on whether or not one catches the snitch... I think I'd like Chaser or Beater," she mused aloud. Continuing, she added, "I did get to fill in as Beater in one of the games and it was loads of fun hitting those Bludgers."

Grinning at the memory, she glanced up and quirked a curious eyebrow at Liz as she seemed to be lost in a daydream. Pulling out her Arithmancy textbook to read ahead a bit, she said, "Are you taking Arithmancy this year? There's a class tomorrow." Thinking for a moment, she added, "I guess it's just for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, so you wouldn't be in that class anyway. I'm glad Professor Shakleton is having a basic class this year. I was a bit over my head last year."

Looking back at Mariel, Liz replies "It's one of my favorite classes, actually!"

"If you would like some tutoring, on the side, I'd be happy to help." she says with a smile. "I want to ask Professor Shackleton if I could help out in the basic's class...I hope she says yes!"

Rian woke up refreshed and ready for the day. She quickly brushed her mane of hair before pulling back the hangings on her bed. She looked around at the other girls in the room before getting dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, then she pulled her Hogwarts robes on over her clothes.

"Good morning Liz, Livvy, Mariel," she said cheerfully. She waved to the girls leaned down to let Craizer out of his carrier. She smiled to the crup and tapped her leg, which told him to follow her. She turned around and walked out of the dorm, with Craizer following at her heels.

Jenn opened her eyes slowly and smiled. Stretching, she pulled back the hangings and grinned. "Good morning Rian, Mariel, Liz, and Liv! How are all of you guys this lovely morning?"she asked, giggling. Yawning she laid back and put her arms under her pillow, staring up at the ceiling.
